Working with Alissa was such a wonderful experience, and hiring her for day-of coordination was one of the best decisions we made. Even though we officially began working together about three months before the wedding, she jumped right in and immediately made us feel supported.
From our first meeting, it was clear that Alissa was professional, thoughtful, and genuinely invested in helping bring our vision to life. I’m pretty particular and have a strong eye for detail, so it meant a lot to work with someone who shared that same level of care. She was always a joy to bounce ideas off of and was consistently responsive and communicative throughout the process.
In the weeks leading up to the wedding I definitely felt nervous, hoping everything would come together the way I imagined, and Alissa made that happen. On the wedding day she was such a calm, joyful presence; she never rushed us, always stayed patient, and was ready to jump in wherever needed.
Because of her, everything flowed so smoothly and I was truly able to relax and enjoy the day. I felt completely confident we were in good hands. Alissa truly knocked it out of the park, and I’m so grateful we got to work with her! -

As a Charlottesville-based venue owner, I was thrilled to work with the Wedding Company of Williamsburg (Now Wedding Company of Virginia) for one of the more elaborate and complex weddings we hosted. Their communication style was upbeat, flexible, enthusiastic, and genuinely kind throughout the entire planning process. The experienced, hard-working staff provided personalized, high-quality service that made the day truly memorable for the couple and their guests. From the beginning, they listened to our unique needs and desires, and went above and beyond to ensure every detail was executed flawlessly. I cannot recommend the Wedding Company of Williamsburg enough to any couple looking for a wedding planner that will make their vision a reality. -

I am an October 2024 bride who had full wedding planning services with the Wedding Co. of Williamsburg, and the service was truly worth every single penny. Jess and the rest of her team are professional, easy to work with, and excellent at their jobs. Perhaps most importantly, they made our planning process fun, and allowed us to enjoy the experience rather than stress over it. While many of our engaged friends complained about the stress of wedding planning, we were able to look forward to the day (rather than feel exhausted, exasperated, and ready for it to be over with!). Below are a few reasons why I think Jess and her team are the absolute best in the business!
1. She knows Williamsburg's wedding industry better than anyone else.
My husband and I live and work near Washington, D.C., so we wanted a wedding planner who was local in Williamsburg and who knew all of the local vendors. That is exactly what we got with Jess! She helped us coordinate all of our vendors (florals, desserts, rentals, draping, etc.) and she went to do the "in-person" things we weren't able to. Because of Jess's relationship with the local vendors, she was also able to get us discounts and special accommodations that I don't think we would have been able to get on our own. She helped us think of every little thing we wanted to make our day special, and then helped us find the perfect vendor to make that vision happen! She communicated directly with the vendors on our behalf and coordinated everything - from the delivery of our desserts, to the design of the draping, and any changes in the plan/budget that arose. For example, we wanted gelato for our dessert, and she helped to find a vendor that sold gelato, made sure the vendor could deliver it later in the night (so it wouldn't melt!) and made sure the venue had folks to serve it along with the right spoons/bowls.
2. Jess makes herself available to her clients and is excellent at communicating. My husband and I both work a lot, and usually don't have the ability to take middle-of-the-weekday meetings. Jess completely accommodated these circumstances, and met with us on Zoom at 8:00 pm and scheduled our Williamsburg meetings on the weekends so that we didn't have to miss work! She often spent hours with us on her Saturday or Sunday, and never made us feel like we were rushed or wasting her time. She was also available via text and voice memo which was such a comfort (especially as we got closer to the wedding day!) and always made sure we knew if she was going to be out of office for a day or two for vacation so we could plan accordingly. After every meeting she sent us an email summarizing what we had discussed and our game plan for the coming weeks and days.
3. She helped us stay on budget. Jess made sure to monitor our budget throughout the entirety of the planning process. She created a beautiful design plan that was tailored to our budget, and, adjusted the plan as needed as we got closer to our wedding day and made changes. She gave us honest opinions about what was and wasn't worth our money, and she helped us think creatively about how to make our money go the furthest. She also negotiated certain aspects of our contracts with the vendors to make sure we got everything we needed at the best price.
4. Jess and her team handled EVERYTHING on our wedding day to make sure it went off without a hitch. Jess and her team were like superheroes on the day of our wedding. They coordinated all of our vendors, all of the set up, and all of the odds and ends that came up throughout the day. If there were any problems or concerns, I didn't know about them because Jess and her team simply handled it without bothering me. This allowed me and my husband to enjoy our wedding day and spend time with our friends and family without worrying about whether the flowers looked okay or whether the band was where they needed to be. She was like my fairy god mother - making sure my dress was steamed and clean, making sure I got the photos I wanted, making sure my bridesmaids were where they needed to be, making sure our guests with mobility issues were taken care of. Additionally, she made sure everything ran on time throughout the day (according to the VERY detailed timeline she created) and she even made sure we remembered to eat during the reception! At the end of the night she made sure everything was packed up, organized, and ready for us to take home the following day. My husband and I were able to eat, drink, and dance the night away without worrying about a thing.
I could write a novel about how amazing Jess and her team are. She made our wedding everything we wanted it to be and more. My husband and I have joked that we would literally die for her because she is so good at what she does and such a lovely person to be around and work with. From beautiful design ideas, to logistical execution, Jess did it all. While hiring a wedding planner is undoubtedly an investment, I tell every engaged couple I know that they should get a wedding planner. If you aren't in the wedding industry, you don't know what you don't know, and having an expert like Jess is invaluable! Needless to say, we are Jess's biggest fans and cannot recommend her and her business enough. -

Where do we even begin! Jess went above and beyond every step of the way, making our wedding day more perfect than we could have ever dreamed. From planning to the day-of details, she and her team were there for absolutely everything we needed—always one step ahead, organized, and happily handling all of our requests! She took all the stress off our shoulders and allowed us to enjoy each and every moment. We couldn’t have imagined a more perfect day, and it was all thanks to her incredible work. Casey was so helpful throughout the planning process and talking us through decisions and providing straight forward advice that helped us feel confident in our decision making. As New Yorkers, my husband and I had very particular & high standards for our wedding - Casey absolutely KILLED IT and went above and beyond to ensure we had the wedding of our absolute dreams and MORE! Our wedding was at Two Rivers Country Club, and it felt like we onboarded a million vendors. We hired Wedding Co & Casey for the one-month out package, and she magically coordinated all of these vendors for the perfect day! Being from out of town, Joe & I did not have the chance to be in Williamsburg for the planning process, and trusting Casey was the best decision we could have ever made. With all of the vendors, there were naturally hiccups, but Casey managed all of that and solved EVERYTHING! Without any compromising on our end, I may add. As mentioned before, the vendors we chose were at least 18 vendors, and they all knew Wedding Co so well, that they gave us discounts too! Which is huge, it goes to show how well Wedding Co manages the vendor-side relationship of weddings too! I was such a lovely surprise.
Let's talk about Casey here - she was so organized, planned, thought of everything, but also treated Joe & I like friends and royalty at the same time. It was just the best experience. With my busy career, she knew texting was the easiest from of communication and totally respected that. On top of this, even though we hired here for month-of, she knew we were out of town, and worked with our schedules to do our wedding walkthrough a month and a half out. She was so accommodating. Something I appreciated the most though, is that she was beyond honest about contracting with us for extra time the day of the wedding. We were having major logistic conversations with our interior decorator & stage vendor, and Casey knew being there at 7am instead of 12pm would literally be a make-or-break difference. And she was 1000% correct. If she hadn't been there to oversee everything, our band's stage would've been set up on the wrong side of the room, and all of the decoration work most likely would not have gotten completed on time to the level of excellence it ended up being. Overall, just phenomenal execution.
Our wedding ran SO smoothly too! And it felt so natural! Casey made everything so fun but at the same time, I noticed everything stayed on schedule so well. We even had hair and makeup run over for an unforeseen circumstance, and Casey built in plenty of time so it ended up being a nonissue. She was always smiling and happy the whole time too!
It was so clear Casey and her assistant Katie worked so hard to make our wedding a dream come true - everything went perfectly. I want to also add we had a vendor cancel the day-of, and Casey found a solution on-site that was the same, if not better, than what would have been provided by that vendor. It was just exceptional.
Overall Wedding Co is a must-have for your Williamsburg/Coastal VA wedding. They aren't just worth the cost you pay for them - they FAR exceed anything you would pay for a planning service. We love Casey so much! Thank you so much for everything, Casey.

Best Wedding Planning Team Around!
Jess & the Wedding Co Team is a DREAM TEAM! I can not thank Jess and her team enough for making our day so special and taking a lot of the stress off of me and my family. Jess was AMAZING throughout the whole wedding planning process! I am a full time student that doesn't live in the area, so it was so wonderful to have Jess on our wedding team. She had all the inside scoop on every aspect of planning and was on top of everything. Having her expert help made wedding planning way less stressful. Jess and her team were also so wonderful on the day of the wedding, and made sure everything ran smoothly (it was such a beautiful and perfect day!). Wedding Co also helped plan other events for our wedding weekend (a family dinner, welcome party, and departure brunch). I literally don't know how Jess does it all but she is truly incredible, and we were so lucky to have her with us every step of the way!! :) -

We loved working with Jess as our Lead Planner. She helped us plan our dream wedding. She made us feel like VIPs in every step of the process, from our check-in calls, to visits to Williamsburg, to meetings with vendors. All the vendors know Jess and want to work with her and her couples. Little touches that stood out were things like - Jess gave us a local restaurant gift card when we came to town for our engagement photo shoot. She will always go the extra mile for you. She even worked with us when we had to postpone our wedding due to COVID and helped us reschedule to a new date and keep all the vendors we wanted to work with. We couldn't have done that without her. She also is great at helping with family dynamics and other stressors involved with wedding planning. She really has such a personal approach to working with all her clients. We also appreciated all the extra assistants/staff brings with her for day-of coordination they did so much to help make the day run smoothly and keep us fed, hydrated, and happy! -

Wow! Where do I begin? I could & would not have had a wedding without Jess. My now Husband Max Sabert came across Jess - as "THEY" wedding planner in Virginia/Williamsburg - of course when I first met her and we had the same name & she was Blonde, I thought.. well this will work 🙂.
Little did I know, how she would be the women who planned the most perfect & dream come true wedding for us in Williamsburg at Kingsmill Resort - check out my Facebook page for more pictures.
I did not have a Pinterest Board, I did not have my 'dream wedding' information, and I didn't give Jess a whole lot of input to work with... However, she was beyond patient, asked a lot of thoughtful questions, and she was able to work her magic to make it all happen. Not to mention, being in NYC the past 10+ years has limited my patience & brought my standards to the roof - Jess was able to meet both of those by ALWAYS making herself available (call/txt/email) & delivered what all my guests echo as a 'Dream Royal Wedding'.
I can not recommend Jess enough. If you're debating on having a wedding planner, DO IT! It is by far the greatest investment you can make. She went above & beyond only planning. As we planned the wedding from afar (NYC & Miami) she also allowed us to ship stuff to her house, she created the gift bags, steamed the PJs, brought gifts, Starbucks, lunch, etc. all throughout the wedding weekend, and also took us to the airport after the Wedding - Talk about FULL STAR SERVICE!
No detail was left behind, do yourself a favor by leaving the stress behind & choose Jess!!!! 😀

Father-of-the-Bride Perspective
Admittedly, I was on the periphery of my daughter’s wedding planning. I was in a position to observe and, I did receive the occasional tasker. I can say, unequivocally, that Jess made the wedding planning process and wedding day execution infinitely smoother. I have met few people with better organizational skills and attention to detail…combine that with her pleasant demeanor and “can-do” attitude, and your wedding will go off without a hitch.
Weddings are expensive…they are an economy of their own. That said, an investment in Jess and her team will pay huge dividends in reduced stress (by all concerned)…resulting in a seamless event, a professional presentation, and she will help you maximize your budget in all the various areas that are vying for your dollar.
Jess and the Wedding Company of Williamsburg should be your second call after you get engaged…call your mom first.

Jess is amazing!!
Jess and her team are absolutely incredible!! She helped us navigate COVID and a potentially rainy wedding day with such ease and grace. She went above and beyond for our wedding day management package! She helped us re-work all of our plans on Wednesday before our wedding when we thought it was going to pour. She contacted vendors and quickly shared rain plan options with us. The next day, the forecast completely cleared up and we once again reworked everything for a plan Z! She knew I had my heart set on cute barrel lights and when we had to change plans and get a tent, it was no longer an option. Well, Jess was able to pull some strings with a strong vendor relationship and surprised me on my wedding day by making my barrel lights vision come to life!! Through it all, she was so calm and always had a positive attitude! We ended up having a beautiful day but no matter what happened, I knew we would be in good hands. I had so many people compliment us on how smooth our wedding was and that everything flowed so well- that is direct kudos to Jess!! She treated our families and wedding party like VIPs all day- checking in to make sure everyone had what they needed and she brought drinks to us while we did photos! I can’t thank her and her team enough. She made our day absolutely perfect in unique times and we will forever be so grateful to her! -

Owner, Jess Aiken, stepped in to coordinate my son’s wedding less than two weeks from the wedding day. He and his fiancée cancelled their original Boston wedding due to the pandemic. They proceded to marry in Williamsburg with a not-so-simple alternative plan. A formal, albeit small 10 person ceremony at a private residence on the river, a 100 person drive-by reception with wedding decorations and multiple guest stopping stations, and a formal al fresco wedding party dinner at our residence. She coordinated with all the vendors on three separate rain plans for each venue. She was a master at calming everyone’s nerves and made sure every aspect of the day was meaningful, beautiful and joyful. She exceeded our expectations in every way. I HIGHLY recommend her and will positively work with her on my daughters’ weddings when the tome comes. -

Working with Jess was AMAZING! We could not have done it without her. She was super responsive/available for calls leading up to the big day and always provided any vendor recommendations/ideas that we needed. My husband and I went a bit of a different route with a short day-time ceremony and a short cocktail-style reception following and it was perfect thanks to Jess. She went out of her way to make sure everything went smoothly and everyone knew exactly where they needed to be.

I’ll start by saying, our wedding would not of happened without Jess and The Wedding Co. of Williamsburg. Going into our wedding, I didn’t have a clue about anything. Jess not only made the whole wedding possible (seriously can’t thank you enough) she made us feel at ease with everything. If we had any questions about anything, she would give us so many options/choices for what we didn’t know about. I would send her pictures of what I wanted and she’d send me multiple vendors that did things similar to what I was looking for. Not only was she extremely helpful with everything, talking to her was like talking to someone I had known for years which made things so reassuring on my end. My husband and I didn’t have to do a thing. She reached out to all of our vendors for us and aligned everything up for the day of (talk about heaven sent!!! I don’t even know how I would of done that). Thanks to Jess, our day was perfect. Everything was set up exactly how we wanted, we had a timeline months before the wedding that went perfectly the day of, she made us feel like guest at our own wedding. From little things like helping me with my wedding dress, to bringing us food the day of/checking in on us, holding my baby while I took pictures (and all the baby things ;) ), she made our wedding exceed any expectation we ever had.

I'm so glad I found Wedding Co of Williamsburg. I always knew I wanted a wedding planner, but Jess and her team helped me figure out the level of service I needed for my big day (day of planner). Jess even helped me figure out my ceremony venue and gave me pointers on how to book it without issue or delay--this was before I had signed any contract with her (amazing!). As I was getting married in Williamsburg, it was incredibly helpful to have someone who knew the area well--and had worked at my venues and with my vendors. I worked with Hilary as my day of planner. I can't even put in words how much she helped me. She is calm, cool, and collected; she is polite, but strong and assertive enough to get the job done, especially with goofy/loud big families and groomsmen cracking jokes! She has an attention to detail that is so important, especially as we set the timeline, and pushed me to "let go" of my need to oversee and control every detail so that I could enjoy my wedding day. She built my trust and I had a fabulous time...not once worrying if she could handle all of my demands. More than that, she was like a mind-reader. She anticipated what I needed before I asked, went looking for something I didn't know I needed, and gathered all the key players so that we could keep on a schedule. It was hot and humid on my wedding and she held a personal fan to my face so that my makeup wouldn't run--dedication! ;) I also had so many surprises and twists/turns in my wedding, including a special and very elaborate entrance for my dog. She helped coordinate every detail and did not once say "you're crazy--that's not possible." She and her team were all so great and I really appreciated their help and professionalism. Definitely worth any investment without question. -

To say that we were impressed by Wedding Co. of Williamsburg would be an understatement.
We went to Jess & Hilary with a clear vision of what we wanted with our wedding. At this point Craig and I have been together for 11 years. We are both in the hospitality industry; we wanted to throw an epic party yet wanted the sincerity of our commitment to each to be front and center.
Some would say that would be a fine line to walk but WCoW worked with us to make sure we accomplished both. Hilary and her team did an amazing job of making sure we were prepared for the big day. Their communications from the get go was prompt and thorough including their follow up the day after the wedding. Her team kept us on a timeline and took care of everything so we could truly enjoy the day, and we did ☺.
Hands down the best investment we made during the wedding process. They made our lives easier, took the worry away and helped make an epic day for us! -

The smartest decision you can make is hiring Jess.
Jess, owner of the Wedding Co of Williamsburg, is not only creative, collaborative, caring, and hardworking — but she’s the best. My cousin, who is from LA, and had the most fabulous wedding, noted she was the best planner she’s ever seen. That says something.
I went to Jess with a specific vision and we worked collaboratively to exceed it! I don’t know what I would have done without her. Jess tailors the experience to each bride and pours her heart into every detail and aspect of your wedding. When she says she will cry at your wedding and you will become friends. She means it.
You are in great hands with Jess. The day wouldn’t have been the same without her or her team. They made it a dream. -

We selected the Full Coordination Package and pulled in Jess about a year before our wedding... and it was worth every. single. penny. My now husband and I were living far from Williamsburg, both working busy jobs, and decided early on that we'd want help. Jess knows so much about weddings in general and specifically Williamsburg-area vendors, and even though I am an organized person, there is no way I could have kept track of everything without her and kept my sanity.
She is incredibly responsive, beyond friendly, and finds a great balance between letting you run with your own vision and adding in her own suggestions based on her experience.
On the day of the wedding, everything went beyond smoothly. Jess and her team kept everything on-time, the whole place looked gorgeous, and they were all so friendly and supportive throughout. If anything went wrong that day, we had zero clue, because in our eyes it was everything we'd hoped for and more.
I have told every friend of mine that when they get married they should do everything they can to save the money for a planner because our experience with Jess was truly invaluable. -

My husband and I decided to work with her early on because she was upbeat, professional, and said the one thing that we wanted to hear, "You will be a guest at your own wedding." And we were!! She made everything easy and far less stressful than it would've been without her. She was extremely easy to get in touch with (at almost any hour of the day) and was incredibly proficient with every task we gave her. She coordinated our vendors and even helped to set up an emergency rehearsal dinner!!
On our actual wedding day, Jess and her assistant helped to make everything run smoothly. We honestly don't know how we would have done this, seamlessly and stress-free, without her.
She is fantastic and we cannot thank her enough for everything! <3
