My husband and I just had the absolute best wedding weekend of our lives! Working with Nicole, Sarah and Kelly from Verge events was the best decision my husband and I made when we first started wedding planning. First, they were the only wedding planners we contacted in the Asheville area who would even discuss our wedding with us when we started planning two years in advance. While this is a very long time frame, and it's typical to not begin planning that soon, we were out-of-towners and wanted to get a sense of personalities and vendors.
Sarah is a design visionary! She was open, receptive and also great at guiding my décor vision for the big day. When I was frustrated or on the verge of tears she always was there to back me up.
Kelly was our planner and is TOP notch. I have a tendency to over-think, and I'm a Type A person by nature, but I was able to let all of that go on my wedding day! Even our guests noticed her hustle and professionalism and made sure they let us know how amazing our wedding was! Cannot recommend enough- I'll truly miss working with this team.

Kelly was fantastic!!
Kelly was fantastic to work with from start to finish. My fiance and I were planning this wedding entirely by ourselves, and we both can be a bit scattered! Kelly helped us to feel calm and remember what to stay on top of at different points in the planning process. She took care of a lot of last-minute details that had slipped our minds, too, and kept us from having to wrangle our vendors! It was such a relief to have someone in charge to make the event flow smoothly, and Kelly made sure things were going as we wanted. Our wedding day was the most magical day from start to finish, and Kelly was a rockstar in helping us make it that way! She even helped us follow up with a few things like returning items and remaining vendor payments in the days following our wedding! 10 out of 10 recommend!! -

Booking Verge Events for our planning needs was hands down the best decision we could have made. We are one of those funky covid couples who started wedding planning in early 2020, eloped in 2021, and held a larger delayed (second) wedding in 2022—and Verge was by our side the entire time. They helped us reorganize all of our plans and vendors when it became obvious that a massive 2021 wedding wasn’t going to be possible. And when the time came to plan wedding 2.0, they brought so much excitement to the planning process. We ultimately worked with Kelly who is arguably the most professional, organized, and fun wedding planner of all times! Because covid wasn’t in the original plan, most of our wedding details had been made, scrapped, and re-organized about 15 times over the multiple years, but the chaos (and mounds of vendor contracts) didn't bother Kelly at all. Each planning call/email left us more and more excited about our big day. When wedding 2.0 rolled around, Kelly coordinated our entire vendor team, made sure our bridal party stayed in line, and even helped us track down my husband's phone the morning after our wedding (yikes - partying is hard). We cannot recommend Kelly and Verge Events enough! -

Best Wedding, probably EVER!
Our planner, Kelly with Verge Events, took our wedding to the next level by her top notch PLANNING, EXECUTION and DELIVERY! We literally had the best wedding experience out there! We started with a 150 person wedding...ended up being around 185. Kelly tweaked and mended at every angle so that we stayed happy and relaxed during the planning process. She advocated for us numerous times with the vendors demands and made sure our needs as a couple were put first.
So many compliments on the flow (more time to party), timing (more time to party) and fun (everyone was more than happy with more time to party)!
Not only did they execute including our pup, my 3 dress changes, but our ceremony, cocktail, 80's band and late night DJ music and timing!!!
Kelly who had assistance by Nicole with our wedding, were there every single step of they way and on top of what we needed to do, but not overwhelming where we had so much we couldn't enjoy every moment. Kelly was a rockstar communicating with Grove Park and ALL the needs and protocols on their end. Highly recommend getting you a planner that communicates with the venue team and all the vendors 24/7 with a million emails! lol Literally, everyone has said our wedding was the best they've ever been to (besides their own)!!!

Verge Events was the best decision we made in planning our wedding. Nicole made us feel comfortable and cared for the first time we talked with her. We knew she and Sarah were the dream team we were looking for to help guide us with every last detail and decision, especially for a destination wedding in Highlands, NC.
Little did we know, like so many others, our planned date (8/2/20) was going to be smack dab in the middle of a global pandemic. Regardless of uncertainty, they helped keep us on track, finding every perfect vendor and having back up plans at the ready for every possible situation. Luckily, we were able to have our wedding on our planned date. It certainly looked much different than we’d imagined, but it was perfect.
Nicole and Sarah made sure everything was thought of- our reception was divided into three separate areas for distancing and they made each space feel just as included and beautiful as the other. Despite this, they made sure my husband and I had plenty of time to see everyone and speak to them (which was so important to us) while keeping us on schedule. They NEVER seemed or sounded stressed, but rather joyful and kind (as a former event planner, this is a skill I never did master...). “Pivot” was the golden word and they embodied it flawlessly.
Most of all, throughout the entire process, Nicole and Sarah became our dear friends. Their willingness to learn who we were and take the extra time to get to know our families made all the difference. They made sure we were on the same page every step of the way, and were truly invested in making sure our dream day was everything we wanted.
There are no words to fully express our gratitude to Nicole, Sarah and the entire Verge team. We couldn't have imagined planning our wedding without them, and that became even more true once the world shut down. We are so grateful for the endless time and energy they placed into our day which was proven through every last detail. And most of all, we are so lucky to call them friends. "Fate" and "Destiny" are defined as a predetermined course of events. Without a doubt, it was fate that our paths were to cross with Sarah and her team at Verge Events. We are currently planning a large scale wedding this fall with many moving parts that requires an extraordinary level of detail and attention - Sarah has hit the mark on every level. We have been super impressed! The entire team has been very responsive with emails, text messages and phone calls. The day we met for the first time earlier this year, confirmed it was the correct match. We know in our hearts the friendship that has developed over the last 6 months will be one that lasts a lifetime! Best wedding planner ever!!
Sarah went well and above our wildest dreams!! We gave her a few ideas/pictures and she ran with it. I couldn’t have pictured anything better!! She worked GREAT with our vendors and there wasn’t 1 thing that went wrong. ( that we ever saw 😉) A few of our guests work in the wedding industry, they even commented that they’ve never been to a wedding so well run. Thank you Sarah for everything!! -

My daughter recently got married in Wilmington, NC, the day after Hurricane Dorian crossed through the city. In the lead up to the wedding, Nicole and her team calmly and capably assessed options, headed off possible delivery issues by ensuring that things were sent early if need be, and acted as our feet on the ground keeping us informed at all times about the situation. Ultimately we went through with wedding mostly as planned (one change of venue needed for the rehearsal party) and it was flawless. I know that this could never have happened without the professional help if the Verge team. I also know that while there were tears and stress, it would have been much, much worse without them. They are our friends for life. Cheerful in the face of disaster, resourceful, caring, going way above what is needed. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Thank you from the deepest reaches of my heart to Verge Events for my daughter's lovely wedding -

Besides being amazing with everything in regards to the planning process, but If it wasn't for Verge Events I probably would have had to cancel our wedding due to Hurricane Dorian arriving on the Thursday prior to our wedding. They went above and beyond to make sure that we had back up everything! From back up power, invitations, even a back up rehearsal dinner and welcome party location. I could go on and on with how much they did for our wedding. What could have been a very stressful situation Verge Events quiet literally saved our wedding. I could not recommend Verge Events more for you future wedding! They are most wonderful, creative, professional, loveliest team! They can handle anything thrown their way! -

Verge Events and Sarah did an absolutely amazing job with our wedding!!!!! We have gotten so many compliments on how perfect our wedding was. Sarah’s ability to navigate family drama, groomsmen shenanigans, the inevitable schedule delays or changes, coordinating vendors, set up/break down, and so so much more was phenomenal. She carried out everything with a friendly but confident manner. Her top priority was her bride and groom and their happiness. We are still realizing the things she took care of on our big day to make the day go seamlessly and flawlessly. We worked directly with Sarah, who designed our wedding from the bottom up, 9 months ago for our Labor Day Wedding. She was INCREDIBLE as were her colleagues who helped as well. I don’t know where to start. First, I want to say that I did a fair amount of research on wedding planners in the AVL area. I felt an instant connection with Sarah with Verge. She was peppy, excited, took interest in our engagement, style, and interests in our very first call. Her energy was contagious. Being a high-energy person myself, I always felt that Sarah was on my level and I could tell that she was listening to my husband and my requests, thoughts, priorities for our big day. She was fabulous at communication, nothing fell through the cracks. I felt very at ease with Sarah by our side during our engagement and the day of. She helped alleviate last minute things that weren’t going as we would have liked and she handled them for us. We live about 9 hours away from Asheville so a wedding planner was a must but I also suggest hiring Sarah and the Verge team even if you are local. It will save you time and stress at the end of the day. We really cannot imagine our big day with the Verge team and it was honestly a pleasure every time we spoke with Sarah and met with her in person. Her personality is so charming with a strong get things done presence which will help ease any nerves you have about the planning process. We were constantly surprised by Sarah’s eagerness to take care of things for us, especially on the wedding day. She handled a lot of things that we could not have had time for on our own such as setting out linens, securing our aisle runner, placing our card box, programs box, frames, etc. out in our venue. There is no reason to NOT go with the Verge team and we feel forever indebted to them for making our wedding day the most amazing experience for us and our guests. -

Sarah and Stephanie lead the way through every step of the process. They provided great vendors for us to work with, were extremely organized, and brought everything to life. If you are looking for a wedding planner I HIGHLY recommend Verge Events. We are so so so lucky to have found Sarah and Stephanie. Everything was perfect from the design to the schedule to the weather (which I secretly think they have control of).
