We absolutely LOVED our experience with Tracy! I found these reviews to be VERY helpful during the process of selecting someone to work with, so I did my best to be as detailed as possible (so it’s a bit of a read)! Moral of the story: Tracy is amazing and made our dream wedding happen and I can’t imagine working with anyone else. We used Tracy's services as both a wedding planner and travel coordinator. If you can swing it, I HIGHLY recommend using a dedicated planner to coordinate everything with vendors, resorts, and guests (it reduced SO much stress). Below is a breakdown on how the process worked with Tracy.
When my now husband and I were looking to get married outside the US the entire process felt overwhelming. We stumbled across Tracy's page here and immediately were impressed by the photos of her weddings and quick response. I initially reached out to several planners and Tracy responded immediately and was able to meet with us via Zoom within the week (while some of the others I couldn't meet with for a few weeks and were far less responsive via email). For our initial meeting we talked about our general thoughts about our wedding, budget, general guest count, what we were looking for in a planner, and just about us as a couple. She was able to quickly come up with a quote for her services (which was very reasonable, and worth EVERY penny!). She didn't pressure us, but we knew immediately this was the right fit!
From there, we filled out a very detailed survey with more specific preferences and ideas about things like preferred dates and locations, all inclusive vs not, family friendly vs adults only, large resort vs boutique, our budget, what we want our guests to spend per night, beach vs tropical, night life options, etc. that she used to create an incredible presentation of different options of resorts and dates for our event (I think she presented about 5 or 6 different detailed options). She contacted all of these resorts to confirm dates of availability and was able to give honest pros and cons to each choice (even helping us to consider things like weather in certain times of year, costs of vendors depending on location, extra fees that different resorts charge, what their packages include with a quote, distance from airport, room types, and SO many other important notes to consider). We chose the Valentin Imperial Riveria Maya (she has done many weddings here-- even several between the time we booked her and our wedding). She coordinated the contracts and payments with the resort and all vendors.
She made our wedding website and helped us get our save the dates out. She helped get all of our guests booked through our block (as required by the resort) and answer all their questions. She was very responsive to both us and our guests. She even would talk through booking on the phone with some of our guests who needed help.
We met via Zoom about once a month (a little more frequent when we got closer) to create our vision board, decide on vendors, talk about design, etc. She made it so easy for us by presenting us with lots of options about all the elements and vendors we can consider including in our weekend (ex: offered us several available photographers with samples and costs or extra reception entertainment options and their pros and cons). She was the primary contact to all vendors which made it SO easy for us. She has long relationships with a lot of the people and companies she works with and was able to get us lots of “extras” for us. She was an incredible negotiator for us, and certainly got us the best deals and highest quality vendors! She kept us organized by providing us with updates of her work and lists of what we needed to do to stay on track. She helped put together a timeline that kept things running smoothly!
She has an incredible eye for design. We used her services for a lot of our design elements including invitations, guest hotel bags, printwork (like menus, welcome cards, etc.). We collaborated using Pinterest and mood boards for the overall feel and elements we liked. We got to see proofs for everything and make any adjustments we wanted.
When it came time for the wedding she went down to the resort a day before us to meet with some of the vendors and ensure things were set for our arrival. She greeted us at the resort and set us up with some very thoughtful touches! She helped to greet all of our guests and get them their giftbags and ensure easy check in. We had a couple brief meetings and check ins during the week and had plenty of time to enjoy the resort. She helped communicate with the resort coordinators to ensure we got the best set up possible, and that all of our preferences were taken into account. She helped ensure our guests were well taken care of– even when issues popped up during the week. She also coordinated our welcome party-- including dinner, signature cocktails, a churro cart, and a private set up just for our party. The day of the event she was busy getting everything set up and coordinating with all of the vendors and resort coordinators. She kept in contact with me and gave me any needed updates, but took care of so many things I’m sure I never even knew were concerns!
The event itself was beautiful and everything we could’ve dreamed of. We got (and continue to get) SO many compliments on our wedding and reception from our guests. Many of them said it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to! Although I’m biased, I agree it was the best wedding I’ve ever been to! The decorations, the entertainment, the location, the smooth flow of the day, the detailed touches, and so much more came together so perfectly.
She also helped coordinate our "minimoon" directly after the wedding weekend at Secrets Impressions Moxche. We wanted to wait for a bigger honeymoon later this year but having some time to decompress and unwind at this luxury resort was AMAZING! We gave her our budget, wishes, requests, and top priorities and she presented us with a wide range of options for our desired dates. It was incredible and again, we felt SO taken care of!
I feel so lucky to have worked with Tracy, and feel lucky to now consider her a friend! We look forward to using her as a travel agent for future trips and recommending her to anyone that is considering a destination wedding!

Perfect Destination Wedding
We worked with Tracy for our destination wedding at SLS Playa Mujeres in November 2025 and appreciated her support throughout the planning process as well as with coordinating the logistics of the wedding day itself. She was professional, responsive, and well organized, helping us stay on track with timelines, vendor communication, and key planning milestones. Tracy is experienced and brought a structured approach to the process.
She provided clear guidance throughout the process and was consistently accommodating of our requests.
Wedding planning can be a challenging process at times, but in the end the day came together well and truly exceeded our expectations!
Tracy also served as a great liaison with the hotel wedding coordinator, helping facilitate communication and coordination, which was helpful given that the hotel was relatively new. We appreciate the time and effort she contributed toward bringing the day together.

From beginning to the wedding day everything was handled perfectly. I didn't have to worry about a thing. I told Tracy what I envisioned and she pulled it all together for me. She has great relationships with the best vendors and I trusted her judgement. Some of my guests had a little push back on the booking process but I knew it benefited that everyone to book as both Tracy and the resort required. Once my friends I supported her it was no problem.

Tracy is wonderful and I am very confident that without her, our Destination wedding would not have been the huge success that it was. From the beginning of the wedding planning process, I knew that I wanted to have a destination wedding but had no idea where to start with choosing the right resort. When I started to investigate different resorts and considered touring properties, I was quickly overwhelmed by the different options and amount of cost and time it would take to decide and coordinate a wedding that my guests would love without going insane. I'm so glad I engaged with Tracy when I did because she helped us through every step of the process. She is thoughtful and efficient in her communications and worked with me to understand the vision we had for our day and then presented us with 4 options that fit our vision and budget. She then works with you throughout the entire process to coordinate guest hotel arrangements, work with the resort and all external vendors, and ensure the décor and coordination is all executed flawlessly on the wedding day. My husband and I got to truly enjoy our trip and wedding because I had complete trust in Tracy to ensure that the day ran smoothly and I did not have to worry about all of the little details as I knew that her and her team had it covered. Tracy has the expertise unlike anyone else I found when I was originally searching for a planner and it was wonderful to have that in my corner throughout the wedding planning process. Instead of spending hours and hours researching and coordinating with vendors, I had monthly calls with Tracy where she would present me with options and all I had to do was provide feedback and select from the all-great options that she provided. Tracy coordinates all of the guest travel which was a lifesaver for me, as when my guests asked miscellaneous questions, I was able to direct them to her. There are so many details that go into coordinating travel for a group of 50 including so many questions from individual guests that Tracy handled flawlessly. Everyone had such a great time and I've been asked multiple times when we're all going on our next trip together since they all had such a wonderful time at the wedding. Tracy also comes to the venue to help execute on the actual wedding weekend and this was invaluable to ensuring that everything ran smoothly. For example, the day that Tracy arrived she realized that the location for our welcome party would get very buggy at night and was able to work with the venue to move dinner inside all without me having to do anything. It is so helpful that she is working directly with the resort, as I would never have considered so many of the things the she helped us to execute and coordinate, and resolved little issues as soon as they came up. I would recommend Tracy and the French Connection Events to any Bride looking to plan a destination wedding - I could not have had such a successful event without her help and am truly grateful for all of the work that she did to make our wedding so special.Tracy French ~ Destination Wedding Specialist's reply:

Tracy delivers!
Tracy absolutely delivered when it came to our wedding day (week) We chose Cabo on her recomendation for our destination & we could not be more pleased with the Lux experience provided to our guests and us. Casa Del Mar was incredible! Tracy has curated some really special relationships with her vendors over the years and it definitely shows. Planning a wedding in a different country is no easy task, but with her expertise we felt secure in our choices. She was so responsive throughout the whole year and a half of planning we did. I'm a HUGE foodie and this was something I was stressed about being we had never tasted it or seen the resort ourselves. ( I work for a luxury resort, my standards can be unattainable at times) I had a slight fear it wouldn't live up to our expectations and it absolutely surpassed it. A whole new level of stress being responsible for everyone you love & their experience as well. Her research is second to none. I think its really important to be lined up with the perfect person/ planner based on your personality and desires. Tracy has a very large job to do and a timeline to abide by, giving her these reigns is one of the best choices we made. She was the perfect fit for us and I would reccomend her services 1000x over. Tracy French Destination Wedding Planner Review
Tracy truly did an exceptional job of planning the destination wedding of our dreams. My now husband and I both have demanding careers and aren’t so good at event planning. So none of this would have been possible without her. Not only did she put together a beautiful and memorable wedding but planned and executed a luxurious vacation for our closest friends and family. Her attention to detail and ability to accommodate some more challenging aspects of our needs and family are deeply appreciated. She provided us with a stress free planning process and a wonderful trip to Mexico start to finish. I’d also like to mention how fun and joyful she was to work with and that is not an easy feat over zoom. From working with my schedule to planning our meetings and truly seeing my vision, she truly exceeded our expectations. What I am most thankful for was her support and kind words when dealing with family hiccups. Her advice will carry with me into the future. I would lastly like to today that she worked very hard to bring us in under budget. What an amazing surprise at the end! Best Wedding Investment - Worth it
I had my wedding at Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya on February 25th, 2022. Wedding planning was done by Tracy French of The French Connection Events & Travel and everything was PERFECT! I had gotten engaged in 2019 and we were originally supposed to do our wedding at Breathless with just a wedding coordinator at the resort and a separate travel agent. Quickly we learned that while the wedding day would be beautiful (I researched the work of Breathless’s wedding coordinator), so many things happen before the wedding. Calling vendors in Mexico is an absolutely pain… they may or may not call you back or email you back will be driven nuts with questions about the wedding from everywhere possible.
Your vision will change, you’ll want to add things to your wedding and remove things, and you will have to handle website and travel for all your guests. We invited 120 ish people and 82 ended up going. Tracy handled not only all the wedding day stuff, planned a welcome party (I’ll post separately), but handled all the travel questions, planning, transportation, etc. I have a very demanding job and work long hours, so I didn’t have time to plan the wedding I wanted. I hired Tracy in September, and from September - December, I put in about 1-1.5 hours of time a month. In January, maybe about 3-4 hours depending on how quickly you respond to emails. Often I was so busy and barely responded to Tracy, but she just ran with my vision and handled everything and reminded me kindly for anything missing. Most of it was sending her money to pay vendors or paying vendors directly. Honestly, I didn’t know what my wedding would actually look/be like until the weekend haha. And it was more than I imagined! If you’re the type of bride that has a vision, and wants to be given a few choices a month that you have to pick from to make it happen, then Tracy is for you!
Valentin is a great resort that met the broadest needs for our guests. They have stellar food, strong drinks, a nice pool, and great daytime entertainment. It’s not a massively party resort, but our guests were pretty chill so we didn’t need a foam party with people pouring shots on people’s mouths in the pool haha. Highly recommend the resort too.
My go-to phrase by the end of all of this was “I don’t know, email or call Tracy” and it was ALL handled. In fact, I’m planning a birthday party this year and my friends are asking when they’re going to receive an email from Tracy (she was not hired for my birthday btw because it’s a small birthday 🤦🏻♀️, but my friends are now spoiled.)

We had the most amazing wedding experience in Tulum and it was all thanks to Tracy's hard work. From the moment we contacted her she was on top of everything. We described what we were looking for and she found us the perfect location of Dreams Tulum. We felt 100% confident choosing this location even though we had never been there as Tracy provided detailed information on the property, rooms, and service. I had a vision of my wedding aesthetic but wasn't quite sure on some things, like bridesmaids bouquets, groomsmen suite colors, etc. Tracy was able to fill in those gaps and would always make the best suggestions. She has an eye for detail and design like no one else. We were absolutely blown away by how beautiful everything was. The ceremony and reception looked just like the inspirational photos we had seen, and Tracy even added a few extra details that made it so special. She not only executed a flawless wedding but she also helped with everyones travel. For most of our guests, this was their first time traveling since the start of the pandemic and having Tracy's expert guidance was a huge help to everyone. She put together check lists, tips and reminders which made the travel experience smooth and stress-free for us and our guests. When we arrived at the resort Tracy was there to greet us and made sure everything was going smoothly with our check in. Our friends and family are still talking about how amazing everything was and what a great time they had. Tracy also designed and put together our welcome bags, which everyone loved getting when they checked in. The whole planning process and wedding week was completely stress-free and fun for me because I knew Tracy was taking handling everything with the vendors and resort. She was very hands on and did the most to make sure we had a truly special time with our friends and family. She puts her heart into everything that she does and it shows. We are so grateful to Tracy for making our destination wedding a reality. Consistent excellence!
I very much enjoyed working with Tracy to plan my wedding. She was hands on and took the reins making the day memorable and seamless. I have a busy law practice so when it came time to plan my husband’s 60th birthday party, I found myself needing Tracy’s help again. She did a fantastic job pulling together ideas I had for the day and working with the venue I had selected. She made the party feel planned and thought out. She took the stress off my shoulders and immediately jumped in to create a party that was memorable and fun. Experienced professional with an eye for beauty!
We had a Tulum COVID wedding (mid March 2021) and Tracy was a godsend. From the beginning, we knew we would be working with a lot of constraints. Not only did we want to host a tropical destination wedding in Tulum, but it would be during a global pandemic where all of our guests would be traveling from the US or beyond.
In addition, my then-fiance and I were super busy with work and school, so wanted someone who would be able to manage a COVID destination wedding while bubbling up the important decisions.
Tracy was so incredibly helpful:
- She's extremely experienced in wedding planning, but especially in the area we were working in. This meant she had connections, knew how to work with the local culture, and was experienced with wrangling the vendors.
- She is extremely flexible - she can be as hands on or hands off as you'd like, and was always willing and able to jump on a call to discuss details.
- She has such an eye for beauty and design! This was critical to us because I do not have good aesthetic sense, so wanted a partner who could fill that gap. I had a bunch of unique ideas that would be reflective of our relationship and our culture (Chinese). She not only incorporated and loved these ideas, but elevated them by adding additional elements inspired by these ideas. The end result was absolutely gorgeous, enough that my mother (who is typically very critical and hard to please) was left speechless and incredibly impressed. The location and pictures look like they came out of a catalogue promoting weddings. And many of our guests said it was the best wedding they've ever been to.
All of her skills made her the perfect wedding planner for us. She made wonderful recommendations from flowers to colors to decor. She provided super helpful tips, such as around which decisions are important, wedding pictures (how to hold flowers!), what to include in welcome bags, etc. She worked with us at the perfect level, only surfacing the important discussion points when it was ready (such as budgetary, completed vision board, etc.) and taking ownership of making recommendations.
Finally, this was all under the umbrella of the numerous COVID restrictions and best practices we wanted to put in place (more tables, custom masks, testing requirements, etc.)
I would 1000% recommend Tracy if you want someone who is experienced, flexible, hard working, and will design you the most beautiful wedding!Tracy French ~ Destination Wedding Specialist's reply:

Absolutely exceeded our expectations!
I cannot recommend The French Connection Events highly enough! Tracy absolutely delivered and gave us the incredibly beautiful, stress-free, and individualized Destination Wedding in Mexico that we were hoping for. Several guests loved the unique, little details of the wedding and ceremony that had never even crossed my mind when initially planning; it was Tracy's expertise and suggestion! With so much experience in planning weddings and organizing with vendors, it's no wonder that The French Connection Events was able to help me successfully celebrate the most important day of my life. Tracy is absolutely wonderful to work with and I could not have pulled off anything remotely close to the wedding Tracy delivered without all of her help. My friends and family all want to use Tracy for their future weddings now! Geralie Sent on 07/17/2014Tracy French and her team at The French Connection Events truly exceeded our expectations and brought our not-so-traditional Tropical/Southern wedding theme to life beautifully! We keep remembering some of the small details (the giant details were obvious and also spectacular) that made our wedding such an incredible wedding. Our friends and families' feedback are also 100% positive. With a full-time job and a child to raise, plus a fiancé on frequent business trips, I knew that I was going to need help planning our dream wedding. Tracy is meticulously detail-oriented and paid attention to every request, presented excellent ideas and recommended highly skilled vendors. In addition to event planning, she custom designed our Save the Dates and wedding invitations which we have received many compliments on. As an even bigger added bonus, Tracy has added travel services to her long list of services offered and was able to assist us with our Bora Bora honeymoon travel arrangements! Friends and family would comment on how calm I appeared during the whole wedding planning process and I attribute that to being able to trust Tracy and her team with the wedding details the entire year and a half of planning. Vanessa Sent on 12/13/2011We used the French Connection for their DJ service. The DJ's name was Leif. He was AMAZING! He was very involved throughout the entire wedding. He made sure that David and I were constantly in the loop without making us feel overwhelmed and made the sequence of events for the wedding flowing nicely. He really kept our guests happy with the music and kept them on the dance floor. We couldn't have asked for a better DJ. We highly recommend him!Tracy French ~ Destination Wedding Specialist's reply:

My husband and I had our destination wedding in Punta Cana, DR. Words can not express how fantastic Tracy French and The French Connection team are. Tracy is very detail oriented, thorough and professional. During the process of our wedding planning, from the beginning to the end, we had some in between minor issues with some of the vendors from the resort. Tracy was on top of it right away, making sure all issues were resolved in a reasonable time manner. Tracy paid attention to every detail I desired. She is very knowledgeable and experienced with the work she does. Tracy offered wonderful suggestions, listening to my ideas and providing ideas for me and my husband as well. Tracy made sure my wedding was everything I ever wanted....my dream wedding come true!
