Had my dream wedding and made a friend in the process
Heather is a joy to work with and I had a blast planning my wedding with her. There is a reason so many reviews keep saying planning with her is like planning with a friend, it is really true. And trust me, that makes a massive difference in what the experience of being the bride is like. She was a problem solver, flexible, fun, and nailed our vision (coming from a creative professional who is particular!) I'm a very anxious person but I didn't have to worry about a thing on my wedding day because she had it all handled seamlessly. I could go on, but the bottom line is I referred her to my own sister who is getting married next, and that says it all--she's part of our ohana now! -

Kaua'i Wedding Dream Come True
Heather was both personable and highly professional. Our experience working with her remotely, leading up to our wedding day, was not only productive but also enjoyable, allowing us to build a genuine connection:). Given our desire to collaborate with local vendors on Kaua'i and create an organic, farm-to-table wedding with a focus on whites and greens, Heather's local expertise truly shone. We were married on Kauai in April 2022. I reached out to multiple wedding planners in Spring 2021 and instantly connected with Heather. Planning with her was like planning with a friend. She made all my ideas better and told me when an idea wasn't so great (she was right). I didn't need to worry about a thing on our wedding day. Heather was ready for anything. She made my vision come to life with her vendor recommendations and her hands on work. If you're looking for a wedding planner in Kauai, I highly recommend Heather. I can't say enough about how amazing our experience was working with Heather. I met Heather through a mutual friend and I immediately felt connected to her. Given that Kauai was going to be a destination wedding for us, it was important for me to have someone on the ground I could trust. Every single vendor Heather recommended to us was STELLAR. I can't imagine how hard it would have been to find the best florist, band, caterer without her expert local knowledge. She made the whole wedding planning process incredibly fun, I always felt Heather had a great hold on things, and our budget - and the day of I felt like all we had to do was show up! I can't say enough about the entire Tie The Knot team - they were such an important part of our special day and we consider them our good friends now! -

Heather and her team were super-responsive during the whole planning process. As father of the bride, It was as if ours was the only wedding being planned that year. Then on the day, we watched as the whole process unfolded flawlessly. This included two crates of lights, table decorations, and other equipment we had shipped from California! Fabulous recommendations for band, food caterers, everything. Wish we had more than one daughter! -

Let me start by saying my only priorities for our wedding was that I marry "the guy" and that it be in Kauai. Everything else I kind of just let fall into place, and let me tell you that Heather and her team did an OUTSTANDING job. I'm a "planner" myself, but letting Heather work her magic and just going with the flow really worked out for our wedding. It was a dream. Everything was perfect and we truly couldn't have imagined anything better. We live in Miami, and therefore are 6 hours ahead of HST but somehow that never really seemed to be an issue. As if she didn't do enough, she knew how important it was to us that we somehow were able to share our wedding with those who couldn't make it so she suggested a live Facebook session. Everyone at home was so touched that this was possible. It really was the sweetest thing! Heather truly makes you feel like you are Ohana. Don't think twice about it, she's your girl! -

Professional, supportive, caring, friendly.. Tie The Knot are a must have if you're considering a wedding in Hawaii. From the moment we first spoke with Heather we knew she was the one for us. Heather has a wealth of knowledge, great relationships with incredible vendors and can make amazing suggestions (if you're stuck). Knowing that she would be there to look after all of the vendors and organise everything was so important for us so we could just relax and enjoy the day. She also got our vision from day one and the whole day was just epic - we couldn't have asked for a better celebration which really reflected who we are as a couple. I would highly recommend her if you are booking a destination wedding. She is worth EVERY penny, and I would do it all over if I could. :)

User2156293 Sent on 03/13/2016Starting about 10 months ago, after deciding we wanted to do a destination wedding, I started in my search for a wedding planner. I am very much a type "a" personality and needed to find someone who I could quickly relate with and know that they would handle all my details. After doing some research and reviewing tons of reviews, I had a few interviews. I think Heather as the third one and I didn't even have to ask any more questions. She was very direct in a way that was so comforting. She was compassionate in the way I knew she was going to take the next 10 months to get to know me, my fiancé and my wedding day dreams.
After signing the contract the next few months were slow. After all doing a destination wedding, all you can really do is read some reviews and check out websites. No tastings, meetings or picking out flowers in person. At about 3 months out, Heather and I really started to talk weekly. After a long day of work, Heather some how found the way to remind me we were coming to paradise and she was just going to handle all the details and make it exactly what I had dreamed of.
As we were booking vendors, Heather was very patient. I had somewhat of a limited budget, but she always provided me with multiple options and of course her opinion of her favorites. Contracting with each vendor and payment was just as simple. At this point, I truly trusted Heathers opinion and experience and took all of her recommendations.
Fast forward to rehearsal, I finally got to meet her. She is just a bubbly in person as she is on the phone. We walked through it all and she calmed all my nerves, as least as much as she could!
While the wedding day happened so quickly, it happen so flawlessly. If something went wrong on my wedding day, I didn't know about it, because Heather handled it.
All in all, Heather is simply incredible. She is worth EVERY penny and would highly suggest her to ANYONE wanting to have their dream wedding in Hawaii. She will make it happen! -

User2018302 Sent on 01/20/2015My husband and I did a last minute wedding (1 month out) with Heather from Tie the Knot. Could not have been more pleased. We wanted something simple but nice. Heather was able to easily get us all the things we wanted for our wedding with minimal stress on our side. We had a beautiful sunrise beach wedding with Jade, a local native Hawaiian Christian pastor. Heather also set up a fantastic photographer, videoographer, picked up flowers, set up hair and makeup, and all the details of having a beach wedding. Would recommend to anyone! -

She was on top of every task and always knew of a person/vendor that would be the best fit for each of the aspect of our wedding. We also liked that she always narrowed the choices to a couple and the pricing/pros/cons ready to go; this allowed for quick and efficient decision making on our parts. She truly eased our stress levels throughout the entire process, as she was supportive and enthusiastic!
We fully trusted in her opinions and she came through shining. She listened to every vision we had and ensured that would get everything and more within our budget. Her creative mind gave us exactly what we wanted, especially in terms of style and decorations. She couldn't have picked a more professional and polite officiant, cocktail singer, entertainment, DJ, photographer and venue staff. All of our guests have been raving how exciting and unique our wedding was, Heather was there for every step. We communicated over the phone/email for over a year in advance and she was always available and responsive. We couldn't have done it without her! -

Jordan Sent on 09/17/2016Heather Singleton was a HUGE help to us! We are from Canada, and planning a wedding for 50 people on Kauai was starting to feel daunting until me found her. She was great for 3 main reasons: 1) She immediately understood our vibe and was on board with helping us make our plans come to life 2) She is super chill yet very organized with blended perfectly with our personality and 3) She perfectly executed all the elements of the wedding and left us to simply enjoy the day. I was a little choked to spend the additional money at first, but truthfully when you factor in all the money you spend on a NICE wedding in KAUAI for 50 people....her cost ended up being just around 8-10% of overall cost and was well worth the money. And that is not even factoring in the peace of mind of yourself, your MOH/mother of the bride, and other well-intentioned family members who would help if they needed to.... but really would just prefer to enjoy a perfect day in paradise! Thanks Heather, we literally could not have done it without you!
