Beautiful Wedding!
We were very grateful to have had an incredible wedding planner. With a shorter timeline Melissa’s organization and guidance were invaluable. Melissa kept us on track and made sure every deadline was met. As someone who had never planned a wedding before I truly appreciated her patience and attention to detail. The day of the wedding was absolutely gorgeous! Melissa handled everything on the wedding day so we could enjoy our family and friends and especially my son’s beautiful bride. Thank you Melissa for making my son and daughter in laws special day so magical!

Wedding was possible because of Melissa!!!
We had a great experience with Melissa for our wedding! We planned last minute and had some issues with the venue but she helped us have a very beautiful wedding! I highly recommend. I didn’t have a purse or perfume for photography pics and she happily loaned me hers. I highly recommend hiring Melissa. ☺️ she knows the industry well and is passionate about helping couples have their perfect wedding -

I have always wanted the perfect romantic and intimate beach wedding, and Melissa gave me just that. She went above and beyond to give me what I had asked for, and more. Melissa set a timeline for the wedding where I could remain stress free, and enjoy my day. All of the vendors she recommended were professional as well. All I had to do was simply show up, and enjoy my day. I also had forgotten my veil at my beach cottage. She ran and got it super fast for me, as well as my mother’s purse. She was

Melissa is the best!
Melissa is the best! We brought Melissa on after selecting a venue. We had a lot of venue challenges come up throughout the process, especially during the last week. Melissa fought for us at every turn. When we were not able to focus on the last minute demands of the venue, we had complete confidence in her ability to represent us and use her excellent taste to pull off the wedding of our dreams. And that is exactly what she did. It was a gorgeous, flawless beach wedding and it is only because of Melissa! -

We cannot say enough great things about Melissa! From the very first meeting, she was organized, professional, and truly cared about bringing our vision to life. Planning a wedding in Marco Island from afar could have been stressful, but Melissa made the entire process easy, seamless and enjoyable.
She handled every detail, from coordinating with vendors to managing timelines with such calm and confidence that we were able to relax and actually enjoy our day. Her communication was always clear and timely, and she went above and beyond to make sure everything ran perfectly.
On our wedding day, everything flowed seamlessly thanks to her hard work and amazing experience. The decor, the timing, and the overall atmosphere were even better than we could’ve ever imagined. We received so many compliments from guests about how smooth and beautiful everything was, and that’s all thanks to Melissa!
If you’re planning a wedding in Marco Island or anywhere in South Florida, we can’t recommend Melissa enough. She’s the best in the business, thoughtful, detail-oriented, and an absolute joy to work with. -

Melissa was our wedding planner and I am so happy we chose her to help us with my daughter’s wedding. I could not have done it without her!!! She was professional, open and patient. Melissa had meetings with me, she was very quick to response to my emails or texts, and communicated several times with all my vendors. She handled the rehearsal and made sure the entire wedding day was Perfect!!! I am so thankful for her setting up all the decorations which allowed me to spend the day with my daughter helping her get ready. Melissa made my day stress free!!! Melissa did an exemplary job planning my wedding. I knew from our first phone call that she was the woman I needed to hire. Because of my father's illness, we needed to move the wedding up and closer to home, so we didn't have a lot of time to plan. She jumped in barely three months before the event and pretty much planned everything from scratch. Our wedding was incredibly beautiful and I had full confidence in her at all times due to her communication, professionalism and high level of responsiveness. She also steered me towards a package that was appropriate for us instead of just recommending her most expensive package, which tells me she's not just in this for the money. I highly recommend hiring Melissa, it was the best decision we made for our wedding. -

Melissa could not be our day of coordinator, we got her lovely assistant Sheneca. Melissa’s team is absolutely incredible. This is my first wedding and I had no clue what I was doing. Melissa was so helpful in knowing what needed to be done and when. With a holiday wedding, this was very helpful. Sheneca was with us our day of, and she thought of everything. It came down the last minute and I was in a panic. On the first time we spoke, her voice was calm,kind and gentle. I immediately felt confident she was knowledgeable and was everything I was looking for. At all times she had a plan and a plan B for every scenario. With most everything I initially had planned,we had to go to her plan B. After speaking to her the first time, almost everything was planned within a week.
I fell flat on my face 5 days prior to my wedding. Talk about feeling doom and gloom!!!! She said a special prayer for me, She is the planner with the plan. Within 15 minutes she had a professional make up artist to cover up my black eyes. She is absolutely amazing inside and out. You will not be disappointed with her professionalism, and excellence in all aspects. -

Melissa made it happen!
Hurricane Ian forced us last minute to move our venue. Stressed & confused, I called Melissa for help. She answered immediately. Her responsiveness was on point - and not only did she help us get into a new venue, it was even BETTER than the former. The entire process was smooth - she stayed on top of us, all the vendors and made sure every box was checked to ensure the wedding went according to plan! Responsive - Honest - Well Connected with a large, trusted Vendor List - Professional - Brilliant. Can't say enough positive things about Melissa! Melissa and I worked closely for a little over a year to plan my dream wedding! We would meet once a month to discuss what tasks were needed and how we could work together to get them done. She had great guidance and a plan to ensure it wasn’t too much all at once. I was not stressed for one minute during planning due to this! She is connected with some incredible vendors which helped us make informed decisions (all of our vendors were incredible!). Melissa is calm, action oriented and personable! Her response time is so quick and she was always willing to jump on a call. Even when we had an issue with rentals in the last few weeks, Melissa stepped up to help us make a game plan which ultimately saved us hundreds of dollars. I hired Melissa Daggett for full-service wedding planning, booking her on December 10, 2024, for my Florida wedding. However, at Christmas, I learned that my father had early-onset dementia and would no longer be able to travel to Florida. Since it was important for him to walk me down the aisle, we made the difficult decision to move the wedding to Oklahoma.
Melissa initially agreed to continue planning until July, at which point someone local would take over, since I had already paid for half of her services upfront. I was fine with this, but it quickly became clear that she was frustrated and unwilling to put in the effort to plan an out-of-state wedding. If she had been upfront about her discomfort, the decent thing to do would have been to part ways in January and issue a refund—but instead, she continued and made wedding planning a nightmare.
Key Issues:
- Failure to stay within budget – She repeatedly suggested venues and vendors far outside my budget without providing proper cost estimates.
- No vendor booking assistance – Due to Melissa’s unwillingness to adapt, I had to research, contact, and book 100% of my vendors and my room block myself—tasks she was paid to handle.
- Poor communication & unprofessionalism – Scheduled meetings were cut short, and planning was scattered across texts and voice memos that expired, making progress difficult. She also ignored my request to use email for organization.
- Did not listen – I constantly had to repeat preferences important to my wedding. I told her I wanted a band, not a DJ, and no church décor, no flowers, yet she kept bringing up all three because she wasn't taking notes.
- Wasted time & added stress – She pushed a venue that I spent three weeks planning around, only to later find out it was far over budget, forcing me to scramble for a new venue and revise my save-the-dates.
After 76 days of frustration, I terminated my contract on February 24, 2025, via text, but Melissa never responded. On March 8, 2025, I sent a formal refund request via email, which she ignored. I followed up via text on March 13, 2025, and as of today, she has refused to acknowledge any communication.
Final Verdict: Avoid at All Costs
Melissa was unresponsive, disorganized, and unwilling to put in the effort once the wedding moved. It became clear she was more concerned about money than being a professional. If she had been honest and parted ways early, it would have saved me stress, time, and money. If you want a reliable and competent planner, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. -
