I was a bridesmaid in a bridal party and we got our Amsale dresses at the Wedding Library. Kiera was our consultant and was super helpful since our bride had no idea what she wanted when we walked in. We all ended up with different style gowns that made us each feel special and comfortable. Kiera was able to help guide us each into a gown that we loved and most of all that the bride loved! So excited for our gowns to arrive! Thanks Kiera!

I ordered 5 bridesmaids dresses for my bridal party from here. Everyone I worked with was helpful and responsive. The dresses came in way earlier than expected and they were able to recommend tailors. We went with Amsale but they have a vast selection of other designers. They also were able to walk through different color and style options with me. We went during the trunk show and were able to receive a discount. Great experience and everybody looked beautiful the day of my wedding!

I got my bridesmaids dresses from the Wedding Library. They had the entire Joanna August collection, which I loved. They are Romantic and not the cliche, typical bridesmaids dresses. you always see. I also wanted my bridesmaids to pick their own dress, but similar style, because they all have different tastes and bodies and I wanted them to feel beautiful and confident in whatever they wore and the Joanna August collection is perfect for that. I love how they looked in the pictures. Everyone at the wedding library was so helpful, even with my bridesmaids changing their minds about what dress they wanted, no big deal. Shipping was easy, couldn't be happier. I also had Claudia and Rebecca as my day of wedding coordinators. Brides to be, have at least a day of coordinator! Its a must. Even if a venue says they will do it all, odds are they won't its important to have people you can trust that will have your day run smoothly. Last thing you want to do on you wedding day is to stress over details. I had 100% confidence in Claudia and Rebecca. So professional and organized. Forever grateful.

I worked with Chelsea on ordering beautiful Dessey dresses for my 9 bridesmaids and Victoria for my Save the Dates and Wedding Invitations. Both ladies are wonderful to work with! Especially on the invitations since I had 0 idea about etiquette, fonts, timing, etc. Definitely made these 2 tasks very stress free. And they have such a great selection of timeless and trendy bridesmaids dresses in designer styles and in a variety of price ranges.

This is my first review EVER but I felt inclined to write a review based on the wonderful experience I had choosing bridesmaids dresses at The Wedding Library. 2 of my BM's and I first went to another shop that had a larger selection, but they didn't have a variety of sizes to try on and the dresses were completely worn out. Not to mention, the service was not that great. I decided to try The Wedding Library because most of the dresses I liked were Amsale and they carry a large Amsale selection and variety of sizes. We worked with Chelsea and she was absolutely amazing! She made us feel comfortable and was attentive to helping the girls in and out of the dresses. She made great suggestions and offered good advice about the types of alterations each dress would need. When the girls needed to submit order forms, Chelsea was extremely responsive to all of my emails and provided me with detailed instructions for placing my order. The order won't arrive until February, but so far I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience.

I am getting married on 12.13.14 and have had such a wonderful experince with the Wedding Library!! Matthew, Rebecca, Kate, and Chelsea have been INCREDIBLE!!! I have a very time consuming job and having this team to work with has saved me so much time and stress!! The bridesmaid dress selection @ the Wedding Library is extensive! The dresses my bridal party picked out are beautiful cranberry chiffon gowns by monique lhuillier ...they are beautiful...they look amazing in them...and..they actually CAN wear them again!! I reccomend the Wedding Library without hesitation!

My experience here was great and just what I needed! I you are a bride with a lot on your plate I would absolutely recommend using this place. As the bride, with 13 bridesmaids, I was obviously overwhelmed with so many decisions to make but Kathryn could not have been more helpful. I originally went in with a pretty complicated idea for dresses for my girls and Kathryn helped me simplify and perfect the look. She made suggestions on colors and styles and took all the work off of my plate. She stayed in contact with my bridesmaids and helped them decide on their dresses and handled their measurements, ordering and shipping. All the bridesmaids loved working with her as well. Seriously awesome and helpful!!

I got my wedding invitations from Wedding Library and it was perfect! During a trip to NY, I talked to Lauren and scheduled an appointment at their office. She was extremely nice and helpful, giving all the information I needed. Since I am from Brazil, all the communication had to be through e-mail but that was not a trouble at all. Lauren gave me all the support and help me find a way to send the invitations to Brazil. Fortunately, my boyfriend had to travel to US for work, so he picked it up for me. The invitations were gorgeous and I`m really satisfied with the result!

I bought my dress at Vera Wang and they indicated wedding library to order my invitations. Lauren was exceptional, such a nice and lovely person, I felt very comfortable and secure to order my invitations with her, she was very patient with every detail, as I am from Brazil she sent the proofs to me, made the alterations I need and when I came back to do my dress fittings everything was ready to pick up! perfect!

After going to half a dozen other dress shops with my bridesmaids, we finally scored at The Wedding Library. The dress collection was sophisticated, classy, elegant, and most importantly attractive. The staff was very helpful, and full of recommendations. I was able to find a dress that worked on three girls with three very different body types, including a bun in the oven! And they all looked amazing. If your event is more formal, mine was black tie, the dress selection at the Wedding Library will make you and your bridesmaids very happy.

Jennifer Zabinski planned my wedding and it came off without a hitch. Even where there could have been drama (water damage to the bridal suite where I was meant to get ready, which happened two days before the wedding; an usher who was a complete no-show), Jennifer and the Wedding Library team kept me stress-free and let me enjoy the day. They figured out solutions for any problems that arose!! Best investment was booking them as planners!!

Claudia was instrumental with the overall design and conceptulation for our wedding. She help us focus our resources to create a wonderful environment for our wedding weekend.
Rebecca Lockward was our wedding ninja. She made it all happen without ever letting us know when something was a challenge. We had the perfect day because we had Rebecca there for us making it all come together. Couldn't have done it without her.

I ordered 4 Amsale bridesmaids dresses from The Wedding Library. They were very helpful with me ordering from a different city and with bridesmaids who never got measured in person. I received the dresses in the mail in great condition, and the sizes turned out perfect.

I live in Colorado and will be moving back east in the spring, however when my bridesmaids made an appointment at The Wedding Library in NY I was very nervous to "be sure" of my choices since this was the only time I had with them to look at bridesmaid dresses.

The setting was very intimate which made it easy me and my girls to try on the dresses we were interested in and also get that one-on-one feeling with the staff there. Everyone listened to our concerns and offered help or suggestions on how to make our look exquisite.

Once we left the store and decisions had been made, i had the easiest time getting questions answered. I loved working with Chelsea at The Wedding Library. She was so helpful and very responsive. If i ever had hesitations for my decisions while I was there she was there to reassure me and send me photos of alternate dress colors when I asked. She was able to get me the swatches of the colors I wanted within a day!

Everyone knows that planning a wedding isn't easy, especially when you like thousands of miles away from the venue you haven't even seen. They're help has put my mind to ease which is something every bride needs!

My bridesmaids and I had a fabulous experience with the Wedding Library.

Kathryn took care of my girls, and thanks to her they were all comfortable (even girls who were really unsure about sizing due to pregnancy and weight loss--she patiently walked them through it) and we found to most beautiful dresses for the big day. Can't wait to finally see them all wearing them!

We came here after going to a popular chain store and the difference in the gowns and the atmosphere was remarkable. You and your girls should have beautiful experiences every step of the way and this will definitely be one of them. (Plus, its near Dylan's Candy Bar and Serendipity, so if you want to treat your bridesmaids to a girly-fun date after there's options nearby!)

Ask to book your appointment on a slow day (you may have to take off from work, but its worth it) so that you and your girls don't feel overwhelmed by other brides, etc.

Will definitely be bringing my girlfriends here when its their time too! :)

I loved my experience at the Wedding Library and am writing to encourage all NYC brides to use them. I shopped around for bridesmaid dresses and this was by far the best experience. My sales consultant went out of her way to help me with my choices, calling the designers to help me find the perfect color and fabric. My dresses (8!) came on time and in perfect condition. I also used the Library for stationery (invites, programs, menus, table numbers and calligraphy) and only wish I knew they carried every line I was interested in before I bought my save-the-dates elsewhere. I highly recommend the team -- they are really experts in the wedding area.

I worked with Michelle and Elyse from the Wedding Library and felt completely at ease with them. We engaged them for "day of" services, which allowed me to relax and not stress out too much in the month leading up to the wedding. They were so helpful and calming, expecially when we had to change venues on short notice.

The physical space of the Wedding Library is also really fun to visit. It's a one-stop shop for all things wedding and very easy to see a lot of things in a short time. I also attended the Wedding Party in February, which was the best wedding event/showcase. It was a lot of fun.

The Wedding Library carries most of the Joanna August line which I was interested in for my bridesmaids! It was very easy to book an appointment, and Chelsea was incredibly helpful and attentive. Their selection is just the right amount and very well curated, which means it's not overwhelming and you can easily find exactly what you're looking for. We came away with the perfect options for my six bridesmaids and have already placed the order!

She also worked out the timing for us to order during a trunk sale so we got an additional discount, and was very responsive on emails for ordering.

The only downside is shipping, as I live abroad along with a few of my bridesmaids, and international shipping was incredibly expensive (about 50% of the cost of the dress), so the dresses will be shipped to my parents house and then I will have to coordinate delivery. If you live in the US this would not be a problem though, and other than this everything else was perfect. Looking forward to receiving!

Working with Kate at the Wedding Library was great. When I arrived without the bride-to-be looking for a bridesmaid dress, Kate sent me back with approximately 10 different dresses. She gave her honest opinion and didn't mind at all that I wanted to try on a few dresses twice. Nor did she mind that I had to skype in the bride to be! (Quietly!). Not only that, but my dress came in way earlier than I thought. My only wish is that they had bride gowns, too. That, and it's very hard to get an appointment! I had to wait 6 weeks (but not big deal because the wedding isn't for months). Kate and Wedding Library group were great and when it is my day, I will return there for sure. Thanks Kate!

Wedding Library was a great place for a non-traditional bride to find a wedding dress. They carried beautiful Thread design dresses and made it easy for me to find a dress in one stop and to get it to me without a return trip.

Three of my bridesmaids purchased their Amsale dresses from The Wedding Library after trying on dresses there. We had a good experience as they had almost all the different styles of Amsale dresses to try on (unlike other bridesmaid dress salons in the city). The girls were nice and helpful and double-checked with me before placing any of the orders. My only complaint is that two of the dresses were definitely a bit big, requiring alterations, which made me think the measurements were a bit off. But overall it was a good experience.

I booked an appointment with the Wedding Library because I was looking for a dress by a specific designer. We came here after another appointment elsewhere which was awful. As I was looking, I found a great Amsale dress that was part of a sample sale they were having. It was not in the color I wanted so I had my internal struggle. I wish I could remember the girls name who helped us, as she was very patient with me as I made the girls try on the final dresses numerous times. The space is small, I believe only one group can be there at any given time, and I believe your appointment is timed, as at the very end of the appointment when the girls were getting measured we felt a little rushed. So I wish when you make an appointment they tell you you only have "x" amount of time there. The dresses came in last week and they are great. Thank you!

We used the Wedding Library to order 6 bridesmaids dresses for an Aug 2015 wedding. The Wedding Library has a nice boutique feel, which is less overwhelming than some of the larger store options. However, I found it a bit hard to sift through the dresses which are very compact on the hangers. Be prepared to do some digging through hangers to find a dress that you like. My MOH and I ultimately found a dress that we loved, and ordered 6 of them. We wound up selecting a dress that was $100 more than we were hoping because we had trouble finding any other options. Each dress arrived on time and as expected. Several dresses were smoothly shipped and delivered to bridesmaids out of state. There were no complications with the dress sizes themselves, either. The Wedding Library was responsive when I checked in about our order throughout the process.

I am writing this having just placed the order for my bridesmaids, so I can't speak for anything but the service thus far. We had a really positive experience at the Wedding Library. Our consultant was very helpful and very patient. When we asked for a dress that was similar to the one the girls were trying on at the time, she pulled the Dessy dress we ended up loving. We wouldn't have entertained that dress if she didn't pull it. I will say, by my standards the dresses were pricey - but, what you would expect for the designers they have. The store was small, but, it gave us the intimate experience I love. We were the only appointment so we were able to walk around, pull dresses, and not be in anyone's way.

Other reviews said the store was not clean, I didn't have that experience - I found it very clean.

After the appointment, I had a few questions and was emailing back and forth with a couple of the girls. Their responses were quick and helpful.

Overall I think we made a great choice bringing our business to the Wedding Library.

I was a bridesmaid from out of town for my best friend from college’s wedding that ordered dresses through the wedding library. Not only did they get my address wrong for shipping (even after confirmation) and then forgot to mail it out. I had to keep asking when I’d receive it and then only got it 3 weeks before the wedding even though it was ordered many months in advanced. Which made me scramble to get it tailored. Since you can get the dresses from this place at several retailers I’d suggest using someone else!

I was so disappointed with my experience here. We purchased 7 dresses for my bridesmaids. The space itself was small, messy and very hot. The staff were nice but seemed very inexperienced and junior. That reflected in the fact that the suggested sizes for my girls which ended up being huge for each and every one of them. For the price of these dresses I expected a little more attention to detail. Now the girls need to spend more money in extensive alterations. I understand that there are "bridal" sizes that vary by the designer but I would expect that the style of dress (in my case a Flowy gown) would have been considered. And the return/exchange policy is terrible. It's almost designed to make you keep your dresses regardless. They might as well not have one. I really regret purchasing the dresses here. This is coming from someone that never spends the time to write a review- good or bad -but I am so upset about this experience.

Non-responsive, absolutely TERRIBLE customer service, filthy dresses to try on, no flexibility, and very shady with signing a "contract" indicating no exchanges or returns. Three girls in the wedding party received dresses 3+ sizes too large. The store and dresses were dirty. I called and emailed multiple times to see if I could exchange or re-order the dress in my correct size and it took a month to get an answer. I'm in my 20s living in NYC and will be telling everyone I know to shop elsewhere. I plan on contacting Amsale (which has gorgeous dresses) to warn them of the horrible service The Wedding Library is doing to their gowns. A $300 gown that now requires nearly $200 in alterations! Don't bring your bridesmaids here!

I made an appointment over the phone, and when I showed up, no one was there. They finally arrived a half hour late and said that they were closed for an event (despite the fact that their voicemail and website stated that they were open). Instead of apologizing for the confusion, they had the nerve to claim that I never had an appointment because it was not logged in to their system. And instead of offering to accommodate myself and my bridesmaids, they blamed us for their mistake and shooed us away. After I expressed my disappointment in their unprofessional behavior, they literally giggled as I walked away. Naturally the girl I spoke to over the phone was not going to own up to her mistake. This place is run by unprofessional twenty-something girls who apparently cannot be trusted to keep appointments straight, let alone coordinate bridesmaid orders or plan a wedding.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE ! They ordered the wrong bridesmaid dress had the audacity to blame the bride. The owner is claiming that we ( bridesmaids ) came in and approved the dress which we never did. The bride had been e-mailing back and forth with Ashley & Kiera about the style name of the dress and yet they still messed it up. Word to wise STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE !!!!

I was utterly disappointed in the services provided by The Wedding Library. They lost one of my bridesmaid dresses. After the dress did not pass quality inspection and was returned to the designer, no one followed up on its fate. If my bridesmaid had not called just weeks before the wedding inquiring about the location of the dress, I seriously doubt anyone from the store would have contacted me. Once I realized that we did not have the dress, it took days before I could speak to a manager. I was told that they were all busy with "an important party," completely undermining the importance of my wedding to me. For the immensity of the mistake, I expected a manager to be on the phone with me immediately. Then, I was told it would be impossible to obtain the dress we originally ordered. While I appreciated the efforts of the sales assistant to find a replacement dress, it was a different style and size than originally ordered, not to mention used. In addition to being shocked by 1) the loss of the dress, 2) the failure to recognize the loss of the dress, and 3) the amount of time it took before I was allowed to speak to a manager, I was also appalled by the lack of gestures made to apologize and compensate for the mistake. At minimum, I expected the dress to be refunded and for the store to cover the costs of obtaining a replacement dress. While the manager expressed regret over what happened, it took an additional few days to get the approval of the owner before they could guarantee that these costs would be covered. Even then, I was given a $100 cap on alteration fees. TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE, Claudia herself called me saying she was going to withhold reimbursement from my bridesmaid unless I signed a legal document stating I would take down any negative posts and not write any more about her store. Keep your money Claudia.

I order a dress from Amsale at the Wedding Library at the end of march. They told me they would send me an email to confirm my order and they didn't. I left them a message and wrote two e-mails and had no reply. Since it was a rush order and they were insecure on having the dress delivered from Amsale on time, I thought they didn't place the order and didn't bother to let me know. I bought another dress as a back up plan and 2 weeks later the Amsale dress was charged on my card. But on April 22nd, when they were supposed to call me to try the dress at the store, I didn't hear from them. Next Monday I called them 3 times and no one answered so I left 3 messages saying I was leaving the country and had to pick up my dress. No one called me back. I sent them an e-mails and no one wrote me back. I left a message and still nothing. I had to pay an extra fee so the dress would be delivered on time and they didn't even bother to answer my messages?
After I contact Amsale - who said they could not get involved in the matter but that they contacted the Wedding Library and they said they tried to contact me but that I did not have a voicemail set up - which is a lie, the Wedding Library sent me an email saying that they were closed on the day I called them (Monday!) and that they would look into the situation. It's been one week and I still haven't heard from them.
I think this is extremely rude and dishonest and I would expect more from a store associated with Amsale.
