We LOVED our experience at Sylvanside. We had to reschedule do to COVID, and the owners were so amazing and flexible and helped make the transition smoothly from April to November. When our day finally came, they were helpful and thought of every detail. The whole experience was organized and the cottage was a beautiful place to get ready. The bridesmaids LOVED the salon and the groomsmen enjoyed the Hunt Box. All of our guests were in awe of the beautiful scenery and the breathtaking barns. Having the rehearsal there the night before was also a huge bonus and aided in ensuring the wedding day went smoothly. There is not one thing I would change about our experience! We also benefitted greatly from their recommended planner Amelia who was FANTASTIC, organized, and flexible. Their “preferred vendors” list also helped during the planning process. If you are looking for a breathtakingly beautiful venue with amazing attention to detail and awesome owners, this is the place! -

Sylvanside Farm was our first and only venue visit for our daughter’s wedding. The beautiful grounds and historical buildings on the farm made it an easy decision for us all. The owners, Terri and Jeff, have restored their property with utmost respect to its historical charm. Having on site lodging allowed both families to spend quality time together and hosting the rehearsal dinner on site made for an all around relaxing weekend.
The curated list of preferred vendors, which Sylvanside provides, was very helpful and each vendor that we selected from their list was top notch. Terri and Jeff were very accommodating and responsive throughout the planning process and I highly recommend their venue for your special day. -

My husband and I held our wedding at Sylvanside Farm this past September, and we had a wonderful experience! The farm is beautiful, including both barns, and the various sites you can choose from for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. It was great being able to experience the entire property. We chose to have our ceremony by the pond, cocktail hour in the stone barn, and reception in the poplar barn. We also chose the 46 hour package, meaning we could stay on site the night before, and after, the wedding. So we got access to the houses on the property as well, and they were perfect! They came fully furnished with everything we could have needed. It also took away the stress of having to travel the day of the wedding.
We want to thank Jeff and Terri for helping to make our day so special. They provided a list of recommended vendors that led us to our coordinator, dj, and caterer, all of whom we loved. They also provided a large variety of included items (decor, tables, chairs, furniture, lawn games, etc) that really saved us time and money. They were very helpful and accommodating throughout the whole process, and we couldn’t recommend them more. We are very happy with our decision to get married at Sylvanside Farm—there isn’t one thing we would have changed about the venue or the day -

#BestVenueEver! Sylvanside Farm was incredible- authentic, beautiful, deer even made an appearance beyond the pond during the ceremony! The hosts were incredibly helpful, organized, professional, one step ahead of us to make sure our weekend was perfect! The hosts even suggested an airbnb for my family to stay in about 2/10ths of a mile away- so convenient and relaxing to have 3 generations of family together! Their communication was top-notch so that we were prepared and the wedding day went seamlessly. The stone barn was awesome for the cocktail reception. The barn was perfect for the dinner, dancing, buffet, and photobooth. Just an awesome day and weekend! We highly recommend Sylvanside Farm!! -

Truly Perfect Micro Wedding at Sylvanside Farm
Sylvanside is one of a kind. Terri and Jeff have created the perfect setting for stunning weddings, there is not a bad view on the property. They have thought of every detail and provide meticulous support every step of the way. We had our intimate ceremony by the pond with the barn and farmhouse in the background - I couldn't have imagined a better wedding day. -

Sylvanside Farm was exactly where I had always dreamt of getting married, and it still managed to exceed expectations! The property has an undeniable charm to it, which is cared for and nurtured by Terri and Jeff. They honor and highlight the historic aspects of the farm, while also making it a very convenient and relaxing place to get married. With the weekend package, my bridal party and I didn't have to stress about moving between locations before and after the wedding. We were able to explore the farm, wake up a bit later on my wedding day, and not worry about driving home after a long wedding night. So many guests told us afterwards that they had never seen such a gorgeous wedding venue! It has all the charm of a humble historic farm while also producing memorable and well-functioning weddings. Terri and Jeff are incredibly helpful and kind people who helped to make our day so special. Although it didn't rain on our wedding day, we felt so at ease knowing that Terri and Jeff had a great backup plan in two locations (i.e., two different barns to choose from)! They also have amazing decor that is included in the price! Another huge plus to the property are the animals - beautiful Clydesdales AND an adorable pig named Mitch who we got to meet the morning after the wedding when we explored the property further. There simply is no other place like Sylvanside and no other hosts like Terri and Jeff. I cannot recommend Sylvanside Farm enough, and my husband and I are so excited to make it an annual celebration spot for our anniversaries! -

We happened across Sylvanside on our way to tour another venue and immediately fell in love. The property beautifully reflects the care and attention Terri and Jeff have put into it and it was such a joy to get to tell our guests some of the story behind the property and their restoration of it. Jeff and Terri were both super responsive and made sure we were staying on track with securing our vendors. For wedding coordinators, DJs, and caterers, they require you work with their preferred vendors (there are options for different price points), which we found helpful since it can be challenging to know who to go with given how many options there are! Going with their preferred vendors ensured we were working with folks who were super high quality and already had a great relationship with and understanding of the farm — ultimately making our special day such a success!
We also opted for the 2-night package to give us some peace of mind since there were a few elements of our wedding that we wanted to DIY and highly recommend that route if available.
Can't recommend Sylvanside enough! -

Sylvanside is a venue that has somehow stayed under the radar and is lesser known, but after taking just one step on the property you'll immediately want to get married there. The owners Terri and Jeff take such great care of the property and have truly created something special. There are multiple ceremony locations on property including a fantastic rain plan (which we used!). Even on our very rainy wedding day, the property looked beautiful and guests couldn't even believe that the indoor wedding location was our plan B.
When researching Sylvanside you'll notice that they require you to use one of their required vendors for planning, DJ/band, and catering. As a former type-A bride myself, I understand that it may give pause to some people, but these regulations ended up being a huge blessing. Our planner (Amy Thunel), DJ (Chris Valentin) and caterer (Downtown Catering) were all absolutely INCREDIBLE and we may not have found them if they had not been on Sylvanside's list!
We can't thank the folks at Sylvanside enough for having us on their gorgeous property and are looking forward to returning for a stay sometime in the future! -

Sylvanside Farm was truly the most perfect place to celebrate our wedding on June 2020 (small gathering) and 2021 (full event). We fell in love the moment we saw the venue in early 2019. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the owners, Terri and Jeff, and how they worked with us as we planned our wedding during a pandemic. Sylvanside Farm is truly beautiful and it has great range to host small intimate weddings or large gatherings. I would highly recommend visiting Sylvanside Farm to any couple looking for a wonderful venue because the rest of your planning will be made a lot easier as everything seems to fit perfectly into place around the venue. My husband and I will certainly come back to stay at the venue on a future anniversary to remember the perfect day we experienced with our loved ones during our wedding days. -

Nothing short of magical
A place where all of your wedding dreams can come true! From day one, Jeff & Terri were exceptional hosts; informative, honest and hospitable. The pictures which had us drooling from the get-go, did not do this place justice. We toured Sylvanside Farm four different times. Each time, Terri and Jeff would give us the grand tour as if it were our first time! Their hard work is apparent throughout all aspects of the property. Over the 8 month period from when we booked the property to our wedding, this past Saturday, Jeff & Terri had superb communication and transparency. The day of our wedding couldn't have gone smoother. We had our ceremony in the orchard across from the main house, which was breathtaking. The cocktail party followed, of which Sylvanside provided a multitude of decorations and fun lawn games for guests as well as had their personal horses available for petting and pictures. The main barn, which is where we had our reception, speaks for itself in terms of beauty. During the reception, Jeff and Terri lit a campfire for our guests to enjoy the rest of the evening. In our opinion, there is no better venue for a couple who wants to have a rustic/ country style wedding. -

My husband and I recently held our wedding at Sylvanside Farm and words cannot describe how wonderful the experience was! The property is absolutely STUNNING, which you can tell from pictures, but in person it is like entering into a fairytale world. We had looked at other venues in the area, but once we saw Sylvanside the decision was made. I loved that you had so many sites you can choose from for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. We ended up having our ceremony in the orchard, cocktail hour in the stone barn, and reception in the poplar barn, and our guest commented on how they felt they got to experience the whole property. We also loved how Sylvanside feels very old world. Everything is incredibly elegant while still maintaining a rustic charm.
Beyond just how stunning and versatile the property is, we can't say enough about how helpful and accommodating Terri and Jeff were throughout the entire experience. From the get go, they provided helpful guides for everything including a vendor list. While many venues we looked at had lists of allowed or required vendors, Sylvanside's list felt like a collection of experts that made the process of selecting vendors so easy.
Additionally, all the included items (tables, chairs, decor, furniture, lawn games) that come with Sylvanside are an INCREDIBLE value add and time saver! We went with the 46 hour package and being able to stay on the property the night before, as well as the night after the wedding was the absolute best decision we made!
To sum everything up, if you are wanting to get married in Loudoun County Sylvanside Farm should be your number one choice! -

Would give 10 stars if I could!! Sylvanside went above and beyond!
If you are looking for your wedding venue, look no further. Terri and Jeff went above and beyond and then some to create the most incredible weekend of our lives. Our wedding guests still haven't stopped talking about the amazing time they had at the farm. Not many wedding venues can provide the unique experience that Sylvanside can provide. We opted to purchase the weekend package and it was worth every penny. We had our rehearsal dinner at the farm on Friday where we had the extended time to walk our family and friends around the farm to meet the animals. It gave me, the bride, peace of mind that on my wedding morning I didn't have to worry about how myself and my bridesmaids were going to get around and let me tell you waking up and getting to walk around the farm together, petting the horses and walking with the chickens, was so special and everyone felt like they were getting their own little vacation being a part of my wedding party.
Our wedding day went so smoothly largely due to the hands on service Terri and Jeff gave us- golf carting our guests around where needed, giving our guests the story behind the farm and offering to show them around to new spots around the farm they hadn't seen yet. They were exceptional.
When Sunday morning came and we were packing up to head out of the farm I felt like I was truly able to have enjoyed the weekend and was able to take in so many special moments on such a beautiful property. Not to mention if you get married here your pictures are going to turn out AMAZING.
I really could go on and on and on about the amazing experience we had with Sylvanside, but I will leave it at this. If you want a wedding venue that can do it all, with two owners who are two of the nicest humans alive and will go the extra mile to make sure your wedding weekend is exactly what you wanted please go tour Sylvanside. I promise you won't regret it!! -

Spectacular venue for weddings!
As a local wedding videographer, I love exploring the many different venues available for weddings in Northern Virginia. Sylvanside Farm is exceptionally beautiful! The 24-acre farm has a long history that dates back to the late 1700's, and has plenty of room to spread out on the wedding day. There are a variety of backdrops around the property for the couple to use when being photographed or filmed on their wedding day. When I filmed here, the bridal party had plenty of places to get ready, including a small salon. The ceremony took place outside, underneath the shade of trees.The cocktail hour was inside the stone barn, while the reception was inside the long barn, giving everyone more than enough room to dance the night away! There is even a honeymoon suite available so you can stay the night! While beautiful on the ground, the farm looks spectacular from the air! I have included a couple screen shots from my aerial drone footage! Also....a little secret. There is a ping-pong table available to use as well. Its up in the loft where the guys get ready! How fun is that?! I enjoyed great food, and overall had a wonderful experience during my time here. Two thumbs up to Terri and her staff for providing such a wonderful venue! I look forward to filming many more weddings at this location! -

Sylvanside accommodated our wedding after we had to reschedule due to covid. We booked our wedding with Sylvanside 90 days before our weddings and they made it happen! We stayed the night on the property which I would recommend. We enjoyed the fire pit and just walked to our houses after and didn’t have to worry about driving home after the reception. When we booked, we had already hired our dj, Sylvanside was flexible and allowed our dj, generally Sylvanside likes you to pick from their preferred venders. Their preferred vendors know the ins and out with the sound at sylvanside. So I had some concern about the sound volume initially, but they recently insulated the barn and we had no issues at all! Other wise the venue was beautiful and we had a wonderful time!! -

Sylvanside Farm is a beautiful venue! The cottage was perfect for the bridal party getting ready and the girls had a great time getting hair and makeup done in the beautiful salon! Guests loved dancing in the barn and roasting marshmallows by the fire pit! It was a beautiful, fun night! -

We had visited Sylvanside 3 years ago for a mini weekend getaway. We had a tour of the grounds and we knew that this would be our future wedding venue. Fast forward to May 2020 and we were devastated that we had to postpone our wedding due to COVID however, Terri and Jeff made what was a really hard decision very easy and they were also very flexible with us. We had pushed out wedding to October and our wedding day was so gorgeous! With the backdrop of the farm, horses, rustic barns and beautiful fall leaves it made it absolutely perfect! For a moment in time we felt we weren't in pandemic but in magical place in which we created memories we will never forget. Choosing Sylvanside as our wedding venue was one of the best decisions we made! -

Sept. weekend wedding at Sylvanside Farm
I never would have imagined a weekend wedding that started and ended in the same place. It was perfect from Rehearsal Dinner Friday to the Bride and Grooms Honeymoon cottage until Sunday. They have a complete cottage/house where the bridesmaids spent the night after the rehearsal dinner and enjoyed waking up on location for hair and makeup... the groomsmen enjoyed time getting ready together without driving from location to location. Everything was a short walk from the cottage to the manor house, reception barn or ceremony! Sylvanside is it! A timeless venue that was magical from beginning to end. The owners are on sight and made sure every detail was covered. We didn't want to leave Sunday morning. Thank you for making my son and his new brides wedding weekend so special. A little village of love! Cheer and best wishes for future brides and grooms. Memories to last a life time.

Our daughter and son in law were just married at Sylvanside August 30th, 2020! We honestly cannot give a high enough review. We really struggled with whether to keep the wedding date due to Covid-19 and the owners were happy to help us with options for rescheduling, but in the end, we decided to move forward with the wedding. We’re so glad we stayed the course. We had 130 very happy guests who enjoyed the most “normal” piece of life any of us had experienced in months. It was simply the most beautiful day at the most beautiful place imaginable for our girl’s dream day!
It’s difficult to describe but the wedding day was completely relaxed on the farm and truly magical when the time arrived for the ceremony to begin! I can’t tell you how many guests told us it was the most memorable wedding they had ever attended.
Because there was not a wedding booked the day prior, we were gifted with use of the property all weekend, which was amazing and made getting ready so fun and easy! All to say, Terri and Jeff go out of their way to accommodate their guests in any way they possibly can. From the coordinator (Amy) and other approved vendors we were recommended to the little extras like the beautiful gift baskets for the bride and bridal party, we just couldn’t have asked for more.
The setting speaks for itself. It is stunning and so versatile. Sylvanside Farm is worth every penny for your upcoming wedding and our family recommends it unreservedly. -

Perfect In Every Single Way
We had the MOST amazing experience at Sylvanside! The property is so beautiful and extremely well maintained. The barns are so stunning and have been updated and kept in incredible shape. To be honest, the beautiful property/venue is just a bonus to the people who own it. Terri and Jeff are nothing short of amazing. Not only are they kind and organized, but they make you feel like family the minute you step onto the property. And Amelia is incredible as well. We truly could not have had a better experience because of how wonderful they are. I would absolutely recommend Sylvanside to anyone getting married. -

Sylvanside Farm is not just a venue BUT the place where you want the new chapter of your life to start — it just feels right. Right when my then fiancé, wedding planner, and I pulled in the driveway and walked in to the Poplar Barn I just knew it was the one. I didn’t want to look at any other venues because my heart and mind were already set! (and we only looked at 2 venues! Sylvanside Farm was the 3rd one!)
In addition to how gorgeous the farm is Terri, Jeff and Amelia are super amazing! They made sure that my husband and I would have the best day ever — from beginning until the very end! Beautiful farm ✅ Amazing owners ✅ Amazing wedding planner ✅ What more can a bride and groom ask for?!?
Even our guests couldn’t stop talking on how gorgeous the farm was. There were just so much to do for everyone! The fact that the farm is so big you can literally have a place for anything! Salon, Cottage and Hunt Box to get ready! Large outdoor space for ceremony! Stone barn for cocktail hour! Poplar barn for reception with a loft to hang around! A space for a bonfire! ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES!!!!
Our photographers and videographer LOVE the farm as all angles are just picture perfect!
And one of my many favorite parts... we got to stay at the Hunt Box after a long day and night of celebration!!!
Definitely WILL go back with either my girl friends or husband for a mini weekend getaway! -

Catherine and Patrick's wedding
Terri and Jeff have made their beautiful property available for events and offer so much hospitality. Our guests were shuttled from parking to the ceremony. Our guests not only enjoyed the gorgeous views, but were able to walk through the grounds, feed the horses and play games. The bridal party enjoyed the fire pit and staying the night on site. Amelia worked diligently to make sure no detail was left out. There were so many extras included in the price, for example accommodations for the bride and groom and their bridal party, chairs, tables and other decorations that would have cost extra or not been offered at other venues. We absolutely will recommend Sylvanside to our friends. -

Perfect in every way
I can’t say enough good things about Terri, Jeff, and Sylvanside farm.
It is truly a dream wedding venue in every way. Sylvanside farm is an absolutely beautiful venue and you can truly feel the love in the air. Jeff and Terri have done an amazing job making this huge farm/venue feel like a home.
The place honestly speaks for itself. It has so much character and you have to see it for yourself. Our guests could not stop raving about how beautiful and unique Sylvanside was.
My husband and I will certainly be back to stay at the hunts box for a romantic weekend getaway and reminisce on our incredible wedding.

We had such an amazing wedding experience at Sylvanside Farm.
The venue, the owners, Amelia their onsite wedding coordinator, and the quality of service is first class. We can't say enough good things about the staff and owners at Sylvanside Farm and how accommodating, friendly, and helpful they are in making your day feel special and perfect. We looked at several venues and we know as soon as we met the owners and stepped foot on Sylvanside Farm that we were going to get married here, and it was pouring rain outside!
This is THE best venue in Loudoun County and would highly suggest anybody looking for a Rustic/Barn type of wedding and reception should book this place, you will not regret it. -

I really did not want to like this place, in all honesty, I was over the whole “Barn Wedding Venue.” I almost crossed it off our list without looking at it, but I’m so glad I decided to drive by. It was a raining, cold December day when I decided to check out Sylvanside Farm. As soon as I pulled into the driveway, I felt the charm of this place. As ugly as the weather was that day, the farm was still beautiful. Once I walked into the large reception barn, I was hooked. I called my fiancé immediately and told him this was the perfect venue for our wedding. The other venues we looked at did not offer as much as Sylvanside did and the reception barn was large enough to hold the amount of guests we had. We also loved the option to stay there for the whole weekend. The pictures online really don’t show the true beauty of this place, you have to be there to experience it in person. We loved that no one else we knew had been married there before. Teri & Jeff Fanning of Sylvanside Farm are the most wonderful venue owners you could ask for. They made us feel at home from the moment we first stepped foot on their property and they worked really hard the day of our wedding to make everything perfect for us. So many of our guests told us that it was one of the most beautiful venues they had been to in Loudoun County. There’s just something truly magical about this place & it was so hard to say goodbye to! -

It's hard to find the words to tell you just how amazing our experience was at Sylvanside. The setting is absolutely everything we could have dreamed of; but for us, the real joy was working with Jeff, Terri, and Amelia. They were so helpful, accommodating, and sincere.
Terri and Amelia both had great suggestions for nearby florists, bed and breakfasts, and rehearsal dinner options. And Jeff took time out every time we visited to update us on all the amazing work he had finished since our last visit. He even agreed to take on additional work painting a picture stand and an arbor when my mom decided she didn't like the current color!
Our guests continue to rave about the farm, the amazing vintage furniture, the awesome fire pit out back, and the way the lights in the barn made everything more romantic. (And hotly debate whether the swans in the pond are real or not!)
There's an amazing supply closet that contains all kinds of great things for you to use at will -- hundreds of votives and LED candles, vases, lanterns, frames, fabric -- the list goes on. This saved us from buying *lots* of things we would otherwise have only used once and it was fun to "shop" in there for items and ideas.
It was great to be able to stay on the property and have our family close by in the big cottage as well. It provided the perfect place to sneak out for a few moments alone after the ceremony and then savor the very end by the fire. We 're also *very* excited to have a great place to come back to celebrate future anniversaries and the like. -

Like a fairytale
Can’t say enough good things about this location and vendor. First, the price is incredible given the amount of space you get- 2 barns, 2 cottages, & a salon! Second, the team at Sylvanside goes the extra mile to make sure the day runs as smoothly as possible. Finally, weddings at Sylvanside are like a fairytale come true to life. The weekend was perfect at Sylvanside Farm. Our rehearsal dinner on Friday night was fun filled and Friday night shenanigans with the bridesmaids at the cottage and then a beautiful wedding on Saturday afternoon. So many places on the farm for that perfect photo which we got a lot of. Terri and Jeff go above and beyond with every detail covered. -

If you are looking for Barn | Farm venue in the Northern VA area I strongly suggest that you visit Sylvanside Farm!
The grounds are both spacious and beautiful. There are numerous areas of photographic interest. The barn offers ample room for 200 guests. The hosts | owners are great people! -

Sylvanside Farm is a hidden gem that you will love as soon as you turn into the driveway! There is no way to grasp the feeling of being on the property from the photos. The property has a lovely manor house and a few cottages available, as well as the two absolutely beautiful barns. Terri and her husband are also extremely accommodating and pleasure to work with! As a wedding professional, I would 1000% recommend Sylvanside to my couples! -

This is a hidden gem! They are still relatively new but I know in less than a year's time that word will get out about how amazing this place is. And when it does, it'll be booked every weekend!
The owners Terri and Jeff go out of their way to make your wedding day perfect. From driving guests on golf carts, to helping you with your little details. We needed rosemary for my cocktail drink and Terri ran out and bought me a rosemary plant, which was so nice!
The venue is gorgeous and all of our guests were blown away. It has two areas for a ceremony, a stone barn for cocktail hour, and a huge reception barn. They also provide games (corn hole, croquet, etc) for cocktail hour. We are so thankful we found Sylvanside Farm and we loved them as our venue. Thank you Terri and Jeff so much! -

Daughters October wedding
Terry and Jeff have transformed Sylvanside into what is sure to be a very popular venue for weddings in Loudoun County. They were both extremely accommodating in the months leading up to my daughters wedding, taking time to meet and work with our vendors. We rented the entire venue for the weekend. The bridesmaids stayed in the 3-bedroom cottage and the newlyweds stayed in the small cottage. The small barn was the location for the rehearsal dinner. The large barn was stunning and perfectly met my daughters vision of her ideal wedding. My goal was met! Everything ran smoothly and our guests had a wonderful time. -

This is a fantastic venue with incredible owners! My wife and I had our ceremony and reception here on October 6th, 2018 and couldn't be happier with everything we experienced. The owners, Terri and Jeff, are amazing people and worked hard to make our day special. When we first saw the property in Spring of 2018, we were overwhelmed by how beautiful it was. At that time, the main barn was not yet complete but there was no hesitation in signing the contract because of what we saw just walking around the property. We would have been happy with the barn just the way it was when we first toured it but Terri and Jeff have done so much work since then transforming it into the beautiful barn we enjoyed on our wedding day. The perfect venue does exist and for us it was Sylvanside Farm.
Terri and Jeff treated us like family and my wife and I are so thankful we had the opportunity to start our journey together in such a special place. I highly recommend going and seeing the property. The pictures are great but there is no substitute for seeing it in person and meeting Terri and Jeff. -

The moment we started touring we knew this had to be our wedding venue! Looking up their information and pictures won't do it justice, you really need to be there to experience it fully. This beautiful historic venue feels perfect for any occasion. There are multiple houses and barns on the property so it can perfectly accommodate smaller events or larger events. The owners are amazing and treated us like family. They really want to provide the best for you so that you can enjoy a perfect wedding day. This venue includes just about everything you need for a beautiful and stress free event. We loved planning our wedding here and couldn't have had a more perfect wedding day. We highly recommend experiencing the venue for yourself and meeting the wonderful owners. -

The farm itself is beautiful and serene, and we were given the liberty to roam their lovely green acres. We enjoyed learning the history of the 1700's era farm from Jeff and engaging with the horses and farm dogs. This is a beautiful, rustic setting for a wedding or other event, and I am pleased to give Sylvanside Farm my highest recommendation.

Warren Sent on 08/10/2018We spent a wonderful, relaxing weekend on the farm - a perfect getaway from the city. The renovated, well appointed Hunt Box is the perfect size for a couple. When you wake up in the morning, you overlook green pasture and horses (missing it already!). Our 10 year old lab also loved being out in the country and exploring the spacious property, incuding a few swims in the pond.
Terri and Jeff have done an amazing job with this pre-revolutionary property - no detail overlooked. We look forward to returning and bringing our friends...and even hosting a 50th birthday party, including a tour of the local vineyards. -

Once you meet them, you will come to know what every other review here is talking about. I cannot stress enough how important it was to Sean and I to book a venue based on the feeling it gave us and to know that the people involved with our wedding would have the same passion, love, and respect that we have for each other. Terri and Jeff are beautiful people who simply want to share their farm that they are so proud of with others and help every bride and groom have the best day possible. I couldn't have dreamed of a better venue.
The farm is breathtaking. As stated by several, the pictures do not do it justice. You really must see it in person. There are so many options for ceremony locations and both barns are amazing...not to mention the craftsmanship. The history of the property lingers on the land and I tell my family and friends there is an energy to Sylvanside that is so calming and welcoming that will just come over you when you get there. I am beyond excited to have my wedding here in September of 2019. Every time I visit, there have been new updates made...Jeff is a power house and if he says he is going to do something, he does it and does it ten times better than you even thought it would be! When I have a bad week at work, there is nothing better than heading to the farm for Terri hugs and furry animal therapy! -

We first visited in March when we were looking for a venue, and even though it snowed on the farm that day, I could tell it would be the perfect venue. We absolutely fell in love with it, and the owners, Jeff and Terri could not be kinder or more accommodating. We visited again just last weekend, and I was completely amazed at the level of progress they have made in just two short months. This venue is definitely ready to host a wedding.
I swooned over the lights they just installed in their massive barn and can't wait to dance the night away there with my guests next year. Every time I visit, I feel swept away to another time in America's past. The trees, flowers, and natural landscape there are so idyllic and spectacular that you would hardly have to waste time (or money!) thinking about additional wedding décor. If you're still looking for a venue, you should look no further. -

Our wedding was truly magical. Even on a 90 degree day, guests couldn't stop talking about how it was the most beautiful venue they'd ever been to. The farm is so spectacular it'll take your breath away, and owners Terri and Jeff have it down to a science: cocktails in a stone barn, games on the lawn, freshening up in various air-conditioned cottages on the property, and dinner and dancing in the gorgeous poplar barn. We worked with wedding planner Amy Thunell who was fantastic throughout the process, and really went above and beyond.
I will say, our relationship with Terri and Jeff started off bumpy (to say the least). They were a new venue, and hadn't quite thought through what it means to host a large, weekend long, event. I'm sure they've worked it all out at this point, but my advice would be to be extremely clear about your wedding vision from the beginning so that there are no surprises, and so they can tell you what Sylvanside will and will not offer.
