The best around

Jill from Sunkissed Events was the absolute most amazing planner I could’ve asked for. She has a variety of packages to choose from but we went with “Day of Coordinator”. Even as the day of coordinator, she was available to answer any questions I had leading up to the wedding and at the 3 month out mark she became very involved in the process which definitely eased the inevitable stress of planning a wedding. I never for a second doubted she was on top of her game and when it was wedding weekend all I can say is WOW. This girl knows what she’s doing and she does it SO well! She was on top of everything and if anything went wrong that weekend, which I don’t think it did, I had no idea about it. She is so sweet and professional and I would recommend her to anyone and everyone over and over again! Thank you so much for making our wedding seamless and stress free! You are the best!!

Best Wedding Planner in the Business

Jill is truly amazing, I wish she could plan my entire life for me! We hired Jill as day-of coordinator for our October 9, 2021 wedding ceremony and reception and she went above and beyond to make sure we had the perfect event. She listened to my vision and provided perfect vendor recommendations, she helped us understand our contracts, and she gave advice on the best course of action in any circumstance. The week of our wedding it was calling for 90% chance of rain and she quickly helped organize a backup rain plan - thankfully there ended up being no rain and we were able to adjust back to the normal plan! Lizzy was our onsite coordinator and Jill had done such a great job educating her on all our details, it felt like she had been there all along. I trust anyone that Jill trusts! Our family has now had 2 weddings and 1 birthday party planned by her and we will continue to recommend her to friends and family.

Our Best Investment, Hands Down!

I cannot say enough great things about Jill! She was the planner for my cousin’s wedding and they highly recommended her to us because of their great experience and I am happy to share that I had the same great experience! We hired Jill as a day of coordinator so we booked all of our other vendors ourselves and came up with our own style/design ourselves. Jill let me know right off the bat that if I needed any help along the way that I could simply shoot her over an email and she stood by that! She always responded quickly and thoughtfully even though I know she was juggling several weddings. She really went above and beyond what I would imagine a typical day of coordinator would do! She was so supportive when I told her we wanted a backwards wedding (cocktail hour, dinner, sunset ceremony, reception) and she helped us execute it flawlessly - even when it rained buckets! Sadly, my dream wedding was to get married outside at sunset at the Williamsburg Winery but when we knew the rain was going to change our plans (and I’m talking flash flood sideways rain!!!) Jill stepped up and saved the day! She called my florist and made arrangements to really make our new indoor ceremony site at the winery pop! She got herself soaked while making sure I was covered under an umbrella during location transitions. She just totally rocked and I cannot say enough great things about her! She gave me my dream wedding and I got to enjoy every second of it thanks to her! 10/10 recommend!

Sunkissed Events made my wedding a dream...even with COVID

Jill is the most responsive, organized, and assertive wedding planner I've ever met. I interviewed a handful of wedding planners in the VA Beach area when I started planning our wedding in the winter of 2019. I hired Jill as a partial planner but she supported me throughout the planning process. Sunkissed Events - The BEST in the Business

Jill and her team at Sunkissed Events were the absolute best and complete lifesavers in our wedding planning experience. We started planning our wedding way back in 2019, and had just picked out a venue when we realized we were in way over our heads. We called Jill after getting a recommendation from a friend, and we went with the partial wedding planning service that Sunkissed Events offers. It was HANDS DOWN THE BEST DECISION WE MADE IN PLANNING OUR WEDDING.

Jill knows this business inside and out. She knows the best vendors, the best locations, and she gets to know you in order to help you choose the best options FOR YOU. We had to cancel our original date and replan due to COVID-19. We thought that this was going to be totally hectic and crazy. It was a tough decision, but Jill had a new venue for us (our original one couldn't support our new date options) and had already coordinated with all of our original vendors within a few days of making the tough decision to move our wedding date. She was a total dream to work with the entire time.

On our actual wedding day, Jill made every vision and dream we had come true. It was the day of a lifetime because of Jill and her team. If something went wrong, we didn't even know about it because Jill had already taken care of it or fixed the problem. She really made sure we enjoyed the day we had been dreaming about for so long.

We couldn't have asked for a better wedding planner whom we now can call a friend. Having her help us through the whole process was truly the best decision we made, and we're constantly recommending her to everyone we know who is getting married.

Jill is absolutely the best decision we made as part of wedding planning. She stuck with us through multiple dates and a venue change. She is very responsive and on top of it. She provided so much guidance in navigating communication with vendors and ironing out details. She handled everything on the day of, allowing the groom and I to truly be present in the moment and enjoy every bit of the wedding. I can not imagine having gone through the wedding planning process and day of without Jill. She is truly so talented, professional, and an all around gem. I would hire her again for any event planning needs in a heartbeat.

SunKissed Events

What a dumpster fire 2020 was, especially for trying to plan a wedding. Originally we hired Jill for day of services at a venue for 250 but as the months carried on, we downsized to a smaller venue with 50 guests. This venue mislead into thinking we had to use their onsite coordinator, which pushed Jill into a ceremony role only. Over numerous emails and in person meetings that lead to no follow through by the venue, unspecified internal vendors which were forced on us, and no flexibility/individuality in our event- enter Jill. After feeling and seeing the stress surrounding us in using this venue, and with only two weeks until our wedding, Jill insisted she help us navigate the situation. She came to a meeting with this nightmare venue and professionally took over. Not only did she reach out to all of the other vendors and update them with everything that was happening she also found us a bomb caterer for the event (filling our desire for an Asian menu which was dairy, gluten, soy free), which was an eighth of the price of the original! A week before our event, the state mandated that only 25 person gather in an event, but Jill was there to brainstorm ideas and we ended up working out 25 at the rehearsal dinner and 25 at the reception (50 at the religious ceremony). Even with that last minute hiccup, our wedding was executed in flawless fashion, with no anxiety from the point of Sunkissed Events being in charge. Jill even coordinated our wish to have MacDonald's as the wedding favor! What a dreamboat company, I've been raving about them to anyone that will listen!

Jill Is The Planner You've Searching For!!!

I knew I was going to hire Jill after she did my best friend's wedding. Being a bride is stressful and I needed someone who would tell me what to do and when things needed to be done not the other way around. Throw in COVID and that just elevated Jill to an entirely level! Through date changes, vendor changes, and many more unexpected curveballs, Jill was fantastic and took everything head-on. There's no challenge or problem that Jill can't solve! She has the answer for everything!!!!! Our wedding was ad ream come true, I didn't have to lift a finger all thanks to Jill's amazing work! HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend to everyone - even if you think you don't need a planner, I would seriously consider at least exploring the option because Jill will save a lifetime of stress. I honestly cannot say enough good things about her. I wish I could hire to run my life to be honest.

The best wedding coordinator around!

When people ask me what is the first thing I should do when planning a wedding I always say, “hire a wedding coordinator” and if you’re local I say, “hire Jill Brown with Sunkissed Events!”

I don’t know what I would have done without Jill during my entire wedding planning process! She guided and helped us in so many ways. Any idea that I had with the design of our wedding, she made it happen with a new original twist to it! I can be indecisive and can overthink simple things and she helped me make up my mind and make decisions. On top of the typical recommendations a wedding coordinator gives, she even had suggestions for bachelorette trips and bridal shower venues! She will make sure everything has been checked off the list and remind you of all those little things you don’t necessarily think of.

In general, there can be so many ups and downs when planning a wedding, however, trying to plan and REPLAN a wedding in the middle of a pandemic can bring you through so many more challenges. It was difficult for me to come to the realization that the special day I had been planning for almost a year and half wasn’t going to go as planned. One of the main reasons I remained calm and stayed strong going through all of this was because I knew that we had Jill and she is a true professional! She was there every step of the way from talking me through postponing our wedding and making me feel confident in our decision, to making me feel even more confident when we had to knock our guest count down to 50 people ONE WEEK before our new wedding date.

Jill made sure our intimate wedding was so special and beautiful. We didn’t worry about one thing on our wedding day. Even when we had to go with our backup plan and move the ceremony inside, I was positive that it would still be stunning and as perfect as I had been envisioning. Our wedding day was everything and more than we thought it would be! It was the best feeling to see all the details in person and better yet, TO FINALLY BE MARRIED! Also, our families couldn’t stop talking about how perfect the day was and how shocked they were that they could leave after the wedding with their cars packed and ready to go! The day flies by, so you definitely want your family and friends to be able to relax and enjoy the day with you. Jill and her team allowed just that to happen.

As a bride, we don’t need a coordinator who will agree with us just to make us happy. We need a coordinator who will give us real and straight answers and that is exactly what Jill will do. So, trust her in that she will make the right decisions and do what is best for you and your special day!

Best Decision I Made During my Planning Process

Any bride will tell you that 2020 presented the most challenges in planning a wedding. However, with Jill and Sunkissed Events, we were able to pull off our wedding without a hitch. I hired Jill as a partial coordinator at 7 months out from my wedding because I was having trouble securing a caterer. When COVID-19 began, Jill took panicked phone calls with new state phases / guidelines, planned the extra step to ensure all cleaning products were available for guests, and provided the confidence every bride needs when going into their big day that she and her team will handle everything from there. I was able to have a fantastic wedding weekend that was safe, socially distanced, and fun (with no COVID cases reported). I cannot emphasize enough that if you want someone who has the personality for coordinating, that you should hire Jill and Sunkissed Events for your big day!

Awesome wedding planners

My daughter was married in October and it really was a perfect day. We could not have done it without Jill and her team as our “day of” planners. Jill was very professional, and responsive in answering our questions and providing her recommendations. Lizzie and her team were amazing partners at the venue, they took care of EVERYTHING for us on the day. And they were a pleasure to work with. Even my husband remarked that they were worth 10 times the fee for all they did. I would highly recommend Sun Kissed. Thanks so much ladies!

Beyond amazing!

It is hard for me to put into words how thankful I am for Jill and her team. I could not imagine planning a wedding without Jill! She is extremely knowledgeable about the wedding industry including vendors, knowing what looks good and being realistic with budget and design. It is so easy to get distracted by what is trending. When I would start going down a Pinterest rabbit hole, she would subtly remind me what I initially wanted. I am so thankful she did this because our wedding was even more beautiful than what I imagined. Some people might be hesitant to pay the extra money for a wedding planner but honestly, Jill deserves to be paid WAY more. She went above and beyond with everything. Not only did she help with the planning aspect, she helped me deal with any issue that came up. She helped me with how to respond to someone who confronted me about not being invited, family drama, bridal party craziness and so much more. She truly became apart of our family during the planning process and even though our wedding is over, she will remain in our lives forever. She is professional, respectful and overall a good person. She is someone who will help make the wedding process way easier and more enjoyable for everyone. The day of was seamless. The one and only wedding rockstar!

Jill is the absolute best there is when it comes to wedding planning/coordination. She is organized, attentive, and genuinely STOKED to be making one of the most special days of your life perfect. My husband and I just kept saying the week of the wedding (and throughout the entire process, but the week/day of is when you really see the biggest value) what a blessing she was to have. We didn't have to worry about anything at all that week. Literally nothing... any time I texted Jill with a mini panic attack thinking we forgot something, she had already taken care of it. She was the first vendor we booked and the best money we spent. We truly cannot recommend her enough. It's also worth noting we were a destination wedding, as we got married in Morrison, Colorado, and there was no discrepancy in service with distance, communication, or industry knowledge. We strongly believe we would not have been better off hiring a local coordinator. Thank you Jill and Dave for coming alllll the way to Colorado for us!!!! We love you!!!!

Jill and her team are AMAZING! I did day of planning, and lizzy was the head coordinator, but Jill was there throughout the planning process. Jill is very professional, organized and knows what she’s doing. My big day went so smooth and according to plan. True professionals who made our wedding day as perfect as possible

We did most of the planning for our wedding on our own but knew we'd need a professional to be our day-of coordinator. Jill and her team at Sunkissed Events really came through for us! We met with Jill about six weeks before our wedding. During that meeting, we went through the program for the church service, talked about the wedding party and family seating for the service, talked about our receptions and vendors, and showed her the mock-up of our centerpiece design. She had a lot of helpful tips for us on the plans we'd already made and some of the things we still had left to finalize.

She reached out to all vendors shortly after that meeting to introduce herself and start laying the plan for the wedding day.

When the pianist who was booked to play at our cocktail reception had a motorcycle accident and broke his hand a few short weeks before the wedding and the company was having difficulty finding someone else who was available, Jill was the one who found us a substitute. (And he was absolutely wonderful!)

Our wedding was a little unique in that we had two receptions. We invited our entire church congregation to the service, so there was a cake and champagne reception in the church hall immediately following the wedding. A few hours later, there was a formal cocktail hour and reception at the Norfolk Waterside Marriott.

We met Jill a few days before the wedding at the Marriot, where we dropped off many boxes full of centerpiece items, decorations, photo booth props, cocktail napkins, goodie bags for overnight guests and other miscellaneous items. She and the Marriott's event coordinator, Tiffanie, took charge of the items and handled everything from there.

On the morning of the wedding, Jill met us early at the church. Our photo sessions with the photographer were scheduled for before the service. Jill was in a constant flurry of activity making sure everything was ready but was somehow right there at our side any time we needed her. Her "emergency bag" came in handy when I bent the pin on my corsage and she had plenty of spares. She got the sign language interpreter settled in, coraled the church volunteers who were helping with the reception, got the musicians all set, got the flower girls in place, and did a last visual inspection before she let Paul and I enter the church. LOL, it's all a blur from there, but my memories are of everything going perfectly.

The reception hall at the church brought a tear to my eye when I saw it. Same again at the Marriott Ball Room. Lizzy, Jill's assistant, did a wonderful job decorating and coordinating with the Marriott staff.

During and after the event, Jill and Lizzy were coordinating everything. Someone was by our side to tell us where we needed to be. The few things I asked, they made happen. When all was done for the night, they packed everything up and put it into our cars and hotel room.

I certainly recommend them! In retrospect, my only regret is that we didn't hire them earlier to do some of the early planning and coordination instead of taking that all on myself.

Sunkissed Events truly provides an excellent, exceptional wedding planning service!

We used their help planning both my wedding in 2016 and my sister's wedding in 2019, with excellent results both times. We don't have any other family weddings left, but we would use them again in a heartbeat! "Day of" planning goes above and beyond day of. They check in, answer questions and help with tasks throughout the entire wedding planning process and really dive all in about one month ahead of time. We are very detail-oriented, plan-ahead type family and this vendor fits right in with this mold. Sunkissed events created a wonderfully detailed schedule and coordinated with all of the vendors, making for a seamless and smooth wedding day that allowed us all to just enjoy the day. The rehearsal was an impressive process, with all details buttoned down and easy to follow, and the wedding day itself went just as planned! The entire Sunkissed Events staff is kind, helpful, supportive, and a pleasure to work with. On the actual wedding day they are like magic elves that somehow blend into the background so you don't see them scurrying around to make everything happen, and yet they appear out of thin air to provide what is needed exactly when it is needed. They give the bride and groom, as well as close family members and VIP bridal party members the attention needed throughout the entire day. Best decision I made!

Where do I even begin with how amazing Jill is?! She is the most organized, relaxed, smart, fun person. I couldn’t have planned my wedding without her, not even close. She made the whole process a fun, exciting, and stress free experience. June Wedding with the most amazing wedding planner.

We can imagine having had this special time without Jill. She was incredibly detail oriented and organized from Day 1 of our planning process. By the the day of the wedding we all did not have a single concern about having her in charge. We were able to relax and enjoy the entire day without a worry. Everything totally exceeded our expectations without a single issue. We must add it was great working with someone who is always so positive and up beat. Amazing and fun! July 2019 Wedding

Jill was amazing from start to finish! She was such a valuable resource throughout the entire planning process. Immediately after our first meeting, Jill had a feel for the style we were going for and how we wanted the day to flow. She helped guide my decision making by answering all of my questions and making suggestions about vendors, design, invitations, etc. She handled the layout, timeline, rentals, and coordinated with the other vendors. On the day of the wedding, Jill and her team handled every single detail imaginable so that I could relax and enjoy the day. I could not imagine getting married with out Jill's help.

Jill is organized, detail-oriented, knowledgeable, and great to work with. I highly recommend using Sunkissed Events for your wedding or next event.

Jill brown - amazing wedding planner!

Jill Brown is truly an AMAZING professional and was instrumental in creating a 'magical, stress-free' wedding for 180 people for my daughter, her husband, our guests and myself the Mother of the Bride! Thought we could have done it on our own, and so glad we did not make that decision. Jill brings her years of expertise, along with her team, that will facilitate the entire event. Jill gave us constructive, money saving advice, knew who to call on for any large or small details we needed - She knows what she is doing, and she does it professionally and always with a calm demeanor! Most of our guests were from out of town and we had several moving parts that needed to be orchestrated throughout the day and Jill did it seamlessly and enjoys her job, and it shows! Quite a few of our guests, gave us positive feedback on Jill and how she pulled it all together! I would highly recommend Jill and her team for your wedding, she is friendly, approachable and no question is too small AND she gets back to you immediately! Amazing!

Jill & team were amazing!! We hired her about a month before the wedding and it just felt like we knew her for years ! She understood what vision I wanted and went ABOVE and BEYOUND that vision. We had a lot of moving parts during our wedding day, thank goodness for Sunkissed events and their professionalism they made our day better than any dream. You'd be making a mistake not hiring them! Sunkissed Events is an expert and serves as your brain throughout the wedding process.

I was fortunate enough to have Jill as my Day of Coordinator for my wedding back in October, but she was so much more then a Day of Coordinator. It was, hands down, the best decision I ever made. Throughout the wedding process, I would reach out to her for some one-off questions- she would always respond and she participated in the site visits with the vendors! The week of the wedding, Jill handled it all; checking in with the vendors, time coordination, everything - it was seamless! I do not know what I would have done without her on our actual wedding day. She took care of all the small decorations I planned and totally grasped how I wanted to portray the day (i.e., my vision). Jill is truly your brain during your wedding; I remember giving my shoes to her at one point during the night, and then they showed up in my house the next day. I can say, without a doubt, my wedding would have been a disaster without Jill. All of our guests thought we had secret service, when it was really Jill and her team. Not only is Jill professional and an expert in her field; she is also on the bride's side 100%. Wedding can become stressful, and Jill is someone I was always able to bounce ideas off of, go to for a vent session, trust her blindly and completely, and so-so much more. I truly cannot say enough about Sunkissed Events. There are a few critical people during your wedding that can truly impact it for the better, and Jill is one of them.

Inititally I wasn't sure how valuable a planner would be. Im the MOB and pretty organized and we had made many decisions before we even hired Jill. Her initial value was evident when meeting with the various vendors. She asked many, many questions I would never even have thought of. But in the last month of the planning, her value went through the roof. She arranged all the timelines and coordinated with the various vendors which took a huge load off of me and allowed me to concentrate on the fun stuff. And then the day before and day of, she was literally worth her weight in gold. I never worried about anything whatsoever. Jill and her team were on the ball and if there were any issues or problems, I never heard about them. I had a total blast from Friday evening's rehearsal right through seeing our daughter off in the limo with her new husband. She truly made our daughter's wedding a fairy tale come true!

There’s a reason every review for Sunkissed is 5 stars and every vendor we booked said, “Oh good, you have Jill, she is the best” it’s because she is. Hands down best decision we could have made. Only thing I’d change is having her do full planning instead of partial. I had a vision and for most of the planning process I had a difficult time articulating what I wanted, Jill did everything in her power to understand what I was looking for and help me execute it. She was patient and beyond helpful during the planning process, but the week of our wedding was Jill’s super bowl. She was a logistics queen and made sure everything we worked so hard on was ready and perfect. A lot went wrong at our wedding (very much out of her control) but she handled things outside of her scope to make our day as perfect as humanly possible, and because of her efforts, the day really felt perfect. She went above and beyond the day of our wedding and I can say without hesitation that I wouldn’t have trusted anyone else to handle the hiccups as well as she did. She even helped after the wedding as we wrapped up loose ends and finalized things with our vendors. There are a lot of great planners in the area, but if you want someone who will absolutely handle s**t the day-of and everything leading up, Jill is your Lady-boss to go with!

Jill Brown did a fantastic job coordinating every aspect of our wedding. She was in constant email and phone contact with us in the months leading up to the big day. And it wasn't just us.
She was in contact with our band, our venue coordinators, and the company handling my wife's wedding dress. Where do I start? Sunkissed Events is what every bride and groom need. We knew we wanted someone to handle any problems that may occur and someone to help give us ideas for our wedding. Jill did exactly that plus so much more. She was in contact with us for the entire year leading up to our wedding. On the day of our wedding, she was their making sure everything was coming together perfectly. She handled all of our vendors, and paid attention to all the small details. After our ceremony, the unforeseen occurred. Our venue lost power, the entire block lost power. Jill turned in Superwoman! My husband and I had absolutely no stress about the situation. Jill explained the circumstance to us and told us that we were going to change a few things around so it flowed better. A humongous generator was in route, and within an hour or two the power was restored. Jill was the saving grace to our wedding.

Jill was incredibly helpful throughout the planning process, but having her guidance and support in the final weeks and days leading up to the wedding was absolutely essential. She is insanely organized, and will leave no detail overlooked. We booked Jill's partial planning + coordination package and it was just the right amount of help we needed, including a recommended checklist of deadlines, scheduled face-to-face meetings, and unlimited questions and vendor recommendations. I am a bit of a procrastinator which can obviously cause some stress, but with Jill and the Sunkissed Events team's help (as well as the rest of our amazing vendors) everything came together and our day went without a hitch- allowing us to really enjoy ourselves in the moment with all of our family and friends. Jill and her team were, by far, the best investment into my wedding. We hired them for partial planning and Jill was nothing short of amazing. She answered my million and one questions with prompt responses, sometimes even on her busy weekends. There was also a point in my planning process where I needed to quickly switch venues due to construction and Jill helped me figure that out based on my wants and needs in a venue.
On my wedding day, I didn't have to worry about a thing. I had guest parking issues, family didn't arrive on time and one of my bridesmaid's dress ripped and Jill and her team were able to fix that without me even knowing. Her ability to think on her toes and quickly provide solutions to any problem that may develop is nothing short of amazing. She cut stray thread off my dress, blotted my face, etc. She was there every step of the way and if I did it over again, I would 100% hire her again. Do yourself a favor, hire the Sunkissed team. I promise you won't regret it!

Personally, I believe every wedding could use a coordinator and/or planner and if you're looking for excellent service and responsiveness and attention to detail, then look no further than Sunkissed Events. They helped us manage so many details that would have otherwise been forgotten and they helped us make adjustments after a hurricane made our outdoor cocktail hour a no-go. Jill is amazing!! She was quick to answer my questions and give me advice. We had a beautiful white winter wedding. She handled the snowstorm without stressing me out. My hair and makeup artist cancelled on my two days before the wedding and Jill came through for me. She found an amazing couple of ladies to do my and my bridal parties' hair and makeup. I can not say enough to express my gratitude for Jill and her team. I work in the wedding industry as a florist, however we planned our wedding out of town so that we could have an experience somewhere different than where I regularly work. Jill was fabulous in every way, she understood my vision and was so easy to work with. Her personality was perfect for my needs, and she knows how to get things done when they need to be done and in a non dramatic way. Trust me when I say this is a big asset for both the couple and wedding guests as well as the vendors she is working with. She is a true team player and I wish I could work with her all the time. Jill and her team are amazing! We had to change our venue 2 months before the wedding and Jill was on it! Within a few hours she had a list of places within my budget with my date available!

I don't even know where to start in saying how amazing Sunkissed Events, Jill and her team are. Let me first say, Hurricane Matthew hit our reception at the Cavalier Golf and Yacht Club and our wedding of 150 guests, turned into a sleep over, as the storm trapped us at the venue overnight. I can't imagine how the evening would have gone if it weren't for Jill and her team. Not only did they still make all our wedding events happen (First dance, speeches, cake cutting, dinner, dancing etc. etc. etc.), they kept our guests smiling, happy and safe! I can't even explain the lengths they went through, and as the Bride, I doubt I know an eighth of everything they dealt with and overcame. Our family and all our guests cant stop saying what an unbelievable time they had despite the weather and how amazing Jill and her team are. In addition to the wedding itself, Jill was so helpful during the planning process. She is on top of EVERYTHING and always has a "we got this" attitude. Jill truly feels like family now, and we'll not only be talking about our wedding forever but how happy we are that we went with Sunkissed Events! Thank you to Jill and her team is an understatement!

Hiring Jill and her team was the single best decision I made in my wedding planning process.

Our wedding was at the Williamsburg Winery, which required a day of coordinator. I emailed with Jill to set up a phone interview and was immediately impressed by her responsiveness and professionalism. Many that I spoke with tried to up-sell me to a huge package that was almost half of my budget, but Jill listened to our vision and never judged or pushed. She was so friendly and immediately put me at ease.

Throughout the planning process, Jill was always accessible (very important since I was planning from a distance) and helped me to find vendors. She even helped me plan a surprise classic car for my husband. I never once worried that something would be forgotten, because Jill was always there to help make sure we were on task and had our contracts and payments in order. When we had issues with the venue, Jill was there to step in and make sure everything went to plan.

The week of the wedding, mother nature threw us a curveball with forecasted downpours during our rehearsal and ceremony. While the venue was trying to get us to change our plans, Jill was an advocate for our vision and helped us delay. In the end, we lucked out and had beautiful wedding for our ceremony and it totally matched our vision because of Jill.

Jill and her team were so supportive on our wedding day. When I had a headache, she was able to bring me caffeine. When we were trying to keep our first look private, she ensured we did. When I was getting stuck walking in the grass, Jill was there to help. When someone stepped on my dress and broke my bustle, she was there to pin it.

Jill and her team were so instrumental in the success of our wedding day, I honestly don't know how we would have done it without them. My only regret is that I didn't ask them for a job at the end of the day, because I would spend time with Jill and her team anytime! They were amazing.

I can't say enough good things about working with Jill and Sunkissed Events! I seriously don't know how I would have done it without her. She was incredibly helpful from start to finish. I can not say enough positive things about Jill & her team! We booked with Jill as a "weekend-of" planner, but she was so much more to us than that! She was available and quick to respond from the day we booked up until the wedding. About a month before the wedding, she pretty much took over. We had some conflicts with our venue that she handled without ever letting me stress over it. Jill ran our wedding like a boss, which is exactly what we needed with the venue we had. Jill & her team were AMAZING, so much fun to work with! The money we spent was by far the best investment for our wedding. Because of her, everything went so smoothly and was so stressfree for my mom, my husband, and I. I could go on & on about how wonderful Sunkissed Events is! Highly recommend them for any of your event planning needs...you won't be disappointed!

I cannot say enough in recommending Jill Brown and her team. We hired Jill for her month of planning services for my daughter's wedding 10/8/16. Throughout the planning process whenever I contacted Jill for any advice or questions regarding local vendors, her responsiveness was impeccable! You can breathe a sigh of relief when she takes over the final wedding day details one month prior to your event. We had a large bridal party and a church service that went off flawlessly due to Jill's coordination.
We had an unexpected visitor, named Hurricane Matthew, descend upon our reception. Long story short, 150 guests had a blast until near the end of the evening the power went out and we realized the roads out of the venue were flooded and blocked by several downed trees. Jill and her staff worked tirelessly throughout the night with our transportation vendor to find a way to get us out. It was certainly a night that no one in attendance will ever forget! By the way, all ended well!

Fabulous, perfectionist, micro-detailed team members, is the only way to describe Jill and her team!
Choosing your wedding planner is certainly one of the most important decisions you will make. My daughter’s wedding on October 1st, 2016 at the Williamsburg Winery was perfect, in part to Jill’s team. We had to wait out mother nature’s decision to clear the skies to provide a beautiful sunset ceremony. Jill made sure that “plan B” would slide smoothly into place if need be. Her constant communication throughout the day with the florist, winery staff, photographers, and wedding party was fantastic. Not only did the team take care of the details of the event, they were also there to assist everyone in the wedding party. As we were ready to start the ceremony, my escort realized there was a hole in his pant leg. “Jill to the rescue”! She calmly told him not to worry, she could sew that. The team was present, doing their magic, throughout the night and didn’t pack up and rush out the door after the last dance. The team’s attentiveness went on well after the reception ended. A number of wedding guests both at the reception, and breakfast the next morning made a point of telling me how phenomenal Jill and her team were.
As a professional businesswoman, I give a lot of thought when considering commenting on any business. I can say though, without any moment of hesitation, that Jill and her team are incredible, and should absolutely be part of your wedding day.

We highly recommend using Jill Brown and her team. We hired Jill for month-of wedding coordinating, and I could not be more pleased with our decision to work with her. In the months leading up to the wedding, she was available to consult on any questions we had, and then we met 6 weeks prior to discuss specifics, our vision, our contracts, etc. And then she took it from there - coordinated and confirmed all details, and interfaced with our vendors. The wedding was seamless, thanks to her. She's highly professional and very easy to work with. Her main priority clearly is making sure the day is what you want it to be, and that allowed us to have the wedding we imagined.

What can I even say about Sunkissed Events other than incredible! From day 1, Jill knew just want I wanted, but more importantly, she knew what I needed and what my wedding needed. She handled EVERYTHING and it was because of her knowledge, expertise, vision, creativity, professionalism, and genuine care that my wedding day was magical and a totally stress-free experience for all of us. I spent a lot of time trying to find a wedding planner. I wanted someone whose personality matched mine, to give me confidence that I would feel nothing but supported on the big day. I'm pretty organized and wanted to do most of the planning, and I wanted to feel confident that all of my plans would be executed perfectly. After meeting with several wedding planners, I felt a bit discouraged until I met with Sunkissed Events. I knew almost instantly that this was the right fit for me, from a personality and organization perspective. Although only hired as a "day of" coordinator, the service provided was far from it. Routine check ins continued to provide me with many great, unique ideas that I did actually use on my wedding day. Throughout my wedding planning process, I truly felt that Sunkissed Events clearly understood what I wanted to create for my wedding day. They were incredibly responsive throughout the process as well and very reasonably priced. The actual execution of my wedding was perfect- I remember thinking to myself at one point, "All of this is even better than I had imagined!". Everything was set up beautifully. Sunkissed Events were perfectly attentive during the day as well. I never felt interrupted, and yet somehow, the minute I needed something, an attendant was immediately there without my asking to take care of my needs. This included hot-gluing part of my hairpiece that somehow broke off mid-cocktail hour! Finally, the clean-up, break-down process was seamless. We've all been to weddings where the event is over and now everyone is frantically breaking things down, moving flowers, etc. This was not the case here. My family and I continued to enjoy post-wedding festivities while the attendants broke everything down and loaded up my parents' car. Although I only plan to get married once, I would not hesitate to use Sunkissed Events for future events/ planning needs and highly recommend them.

Jill and the team at Sunkissed Events are AMAZING. Throughout the planning process and into the wedding, Jill was on top of everything. From helping us to select and negotiate with vendors to fit our vision and budget to brainstorming creative ideas to execute the wedding at our dream venue (the house I grew up in) and handling absolutely everything the week of the wedding so that we could enjoy the moment, Jill went over and beyond. Jill and her girls are amazing! We chose to go with a day of planner as a lot of our details were already ironed out. After our initial meeting with Jill, we knew we made the right decision. She was friendly and genuinely excited about helping us make our day special. She responded to emails right away and thought of details that hadn't even crossed our minds. She loves what she does and her work reflects that. Jill and her girls made sure our day went off without a hitch. She communicated with vendors and arranged deliveries so we wouldn't have to. She covered all the bases; it was unbelievable. Our day was so much less stressful because of Sunkissed events. We were blown away upon entering the venue. Everything was perfect. Not a thing out of place. It was everything we imagined and more and we have Sunkissed events to thank for that! We worked with Jill Brown at Sunkissed Events for over a year before our daughter's wedding, starting with an engagement party and initial planning for the grand event. I had met a couple of wedding planners before her, but from our first encounter, I knew she was the one for us. We hit it off over coffee and, over the next fourteen months, we actually became so close that I find I'm missing her often.

Simply put, Jill just gets it. She has an amazing talent for listening and remembering tastes and details, and she cares deeply about delivering a superb product all the way from conception to completion.

With an admittedly particular daughter who lives out of town, we had to make decisions via FaceTime, emails, and texts. Jill organized weekly phone calls with the bride, groom and my husband so that we could hash out various ideas and details as the event date closed in.

What other wedding planner cares enough to meet you to shop for goodies? To help stuff and deliver baskets to hotel guests? To worry about where a family member who made the cake was storing it? Jill did all of this and more. And I mean many examples more.

Her team the day and evening of the wedding was amazing. They orchestrated and executed a perfect flow, kept everyone in the wedding party calm and happy, and let us all truly enjoy every moment of this joyous celebration.

If I had to do it again, I'd choose Jill and never look back. I already have friends who say they will look no further one day. She is sophisticated, sharp as a whip, and as organized as they come. Jill was better than we ever could have hoped for! We went with most all of her recommendations for vendors and they were all amazing as well. I'm going to start this review by saying we got married in a snowstorm. In southeast Virginia such events present some very unique challenges and our wedding was not immune to that. Through all of it, Jill and Lizzy were absolutely amazing. So amazing that I am not sure where to start. First, in advance of the wedding, Jill recommended exceptional vendors who CAME (not to mention were on time) and were amazing. Then, when our venue really dropped the ball in terms of winter weather preparedness Jill and Lizzy helped us improvise a plan for a rescheduled rehearsal, shoveled the walkways and steps of the venue, coordinated with all of our vendors, helped us find a valet service, brought the bridesmaids and myself a bottle of wine when we needed it, and kept things running smoothly. Everything was more beautiful than I could have imagined and, most importantly to me, my parents were able to actually enjoy the wedding instead of trying to handle all of the issues that were constantly presenting themselves due to the weather. I am sure Jill and Lizzy did a million things that I do not and will never know about in order to make the day so lovely and efficient. These two are fun, smart, stylish, kind, and EXCEPTIONAL professionals. On a day when everyone should have been snuggled on the couch watching Netflix these gals braved the elements and gave us a fairytale. We really cannot thank them enough, or recommend them enough. Whether your venue requires it or not, do yourself a favor and book Sunkissed Events.

Jill Brown is the best!!! She was my day of coordinator for my wedding in November and she truly made the day stress free. She made me confident that everything would be the way I pictured, and when I walked into the reception it really was. I don't think its possible to put into words how amazing Jill Brown is with Sunkissed events. She was the day of coordinator for my sister-in-law's wedding and I knew she did a lot that day but it wasn't until my own wedding that I truly understood how much she did and how lost we would have been without her. I have been to many weddings where there has been a day of coordinator and Jill Brown is in a league of her own. I did not think about, stress or worry about one thing from that morning when I woke up through the end of the night when our wedding ended- and that says a lot because I literally got married in the middle of a hurricane. I had vendors trying to cancel, rain, high winds and almost no venue and there is not one thing I would change about my day and that is because of all Jill and her team did for us. She was the only vendor I literally could not have survived without and well worth every penny and so much more.

If I could give more thsn 5/5 I would. My parents attended the wedding of a close friend's step-daughter last year (2014) and were impressed with the coordination team and how organized and effortless the wedding and reception progressed. When I got engaged in March, my mother and I had no clue what we were doing or where to start. My dad got the name of the coordination team responsible for his close friend's step-daughter wedding, Jill Brown and Sunkissed events. I knew immediately I wanted Jill and her team to coordinate my wedding. Jill was a God send and absolutely amazing. From start to finish, she was easily accessible and was always there for me and Mom, ready to help, offer support, provide referrals and answer questions. I do not know how Mom and I would have managed without her during this stressful time. Jill was on top of everything, super organized, detailed oriented, very knowledgeable and reduced mine and Mom's stress level tremendously in more ways I can than I can convey. Mom and I would have been lost without Jill and her team. Jill and her team surpassed every expectation and took my vision and ran with it. She went above and beyond, took my dream, my concept and brought it to life and made it more than I could have thought possible. Having Sunkissed Events, particularly Jill was hands down the best decision my Mom and I made and would absolutely recommend her and her team. Jill and her team did an a-mazing job coordinating our wedding. Although we planned most of our wedding details by ourselves, Jill was there to provide feedback and implement our vision flawlessly at the venue. Overall, our wedding day went so smoothly and I wasn't the least bit stressed--which is exactly how every bride and groom should feel--because I knew everything had been transferred to Jill's very capable hands. I even had a dress snafu, which could have been catastrophic, and Jill was there to save me from utter panic and flashing my unsuspecting guests :)

Jill is extremely nice, very professional, and really listens to what you have to say. I definitely recommend her to other brides and grooms! Added bonus: both my hard-to-please mother and mother-in-law absolutely loved her and couldn't stop raving!

Jill Brown and her staff are the best and did a fantastic job with our event. We asked them to move our cocktail hour at the last minute outside due to the weather clearing up and Jill made this happen. She was very kind and courteous to our guests and we received numerous compliments on how well she handled all associated with our event on the day. Can we get some more stars on this?! I was so unbelievably happy that I hired Sunkissed events for my October 10 wedding. I originally wasn't going to have a planner, but decided to hire Jill and her amazing team, seconds after speaking to her on the phone! Jill was very courteous, always helpful and always available. With any wedding, there are aspects I forgot while planning and even some minor bumps in the road. Jill was there for me, providing excellent advice and keeping me calm. Jill provided me with many ideas, but also respected that overall, this was my big day and made all of my ideas come together. The day of my wedding ran SO smoothly, I didn't have to worry about a thing! Jill and her team made my day so memorable and unforgettable. Family and friends are STILL raving about how wonderful Lizzy was, how organized she was, and how well she handled a small issue with our transportation (someone missed the shuttle!) Jill is also well known to many vendors and has a great reputation with many people in the Virginia Beach/Hampton Roads area. That also made my process easier, as she already had a relationship with many of my vendors and they had already worked together. If there's one thing you shouldn't skimp on when budgeting for your wedding, its a wedding planner. Especially Jill and her team. My husband was hesitant at first to spend the extra money, but at the end he was telling her she should charge more!

From the moment we hired her to after the wedding to make sure any loose ends were tied, she was super quick and clear in her responses (most communication via email). I paid for partial planning, but I don't feel like I ever got partial attentiveness or service! She was so helpful, has a great sense of humor, and I really felt like I was working with an old friend rather than someone I just hired to coordinate my wedding. We really miss working with Jill and her team. I'm already thinking of the next event I can hire her for!

Our wedding was pretty small, less than 100 guests, but some of the logistics would have been a nightmare had they not been there. We also live in Northern VA, so having her refer me the perfect vendors saved me a lot of time and stress. All of the vendors she recommended did an outstanding job, and a lot of them she's worked with multiple times so it just like one large team working to pull off the event for you.

The biggest thing for us was that she took our most important aspects and make sure they came to life. It rained on our wedding day but we really wanted to get married on the beach. Our guests got a little wet but she made it happen! Also my husband's grandmother was in attendance and we wanted to make sure she was being taken care of and comfortable the whole time, and she told us how sweet the team was and that 'she felt like a queen'. They treated our family and guests like the special guests they were.

Seriously, just hire her! All the other pieces of the puzzle will fall into place.

Jill and her team did an amazing job helping me plan my Norfolk, VA based wedding while I was living on the west coast. During the planning stages Jill provided me with recommendations of local vendors who all turned out to be amazing, provided suggestions that I hadn't considered, readily responded to emails and phone calls, and always respected my opinions and budget. Jill helped coordinate the day of time line and also handled the venue walk-through. Jill Brown and her staff at Sunkissed events were fantastic! Jill was very responsive to our questions leading up to my daughter wedding. The wedding reception was great and Jill helped us to enjoy the reception. I would highly recommend Sunkissed Events!

The most important day of my life, my wedding. This could not have been made possible without Jill Brown and her amazing staff, whom I now consider friends. I am truely grateful for all they did in helping me prepare for the big day, and a successful wedding. Not only were they professional, kind, and hard working, but they understood my every need. Whether it was advice or just a friend to talk me through my jitters, they were there for me. I highly recommend sunkissed events. I would highly recommend Jill Brown and Sunkissed Events. Jill was such a great help with our daughters wedding in August 2015.
She assisted with vendor negotiations and was able to save us a lot of money. She has a lot of experience and her attention to detail was amazing. When you emailed or called her she responded very quickly! We felt like she was a part of our family instead of our planner. Hiring Jill or a member of Sunkissed was the best selection we made among our vendors. My daughters wedding was perfect, thanks to Jill. We will miss working with Jill and her girls.

I also give them permission to use me as a future reference, anytime.

Jill provided the information that we needed during each step of our wedding planning process in a professional but not pushy manner. As the big day approached and many small details needed our attention, she assisted us in staying on the right track to complete everything on time. Jill and her staff were so helpful on the day of the wedding, and they worked very hard so that we could all enjoy the wonderful event! Hiring Jill as my wedding planner was probably the best wedding decision we made. We would have been so lost without her! She was so unbelievably helpful and went above and beyond her duties as wedding planner. She stayed in constant communication with me and was on top of everything....and I mean everything. After our first meeting, I knew she was a great fit for me. She knew my style and knew exactly what I wanted....and she put it all together. My wedding was absolutely perfect. I am so very thankful for Jill and her team. I would recommend everyone to Jill and Sunkissed. She made my wedding planning less stressful and everything turned out beautiful.

Jill and her team were the best thing we spent money on for our wedding! She was very professional and very easy to work with. We told her how we wanted our day to go and it went off without a hitch. My bridal party and family were all able to relax and enjoy the day while she and her team ran the show. She made sure that our ceremony ran smoothly and that our reception looked just as we imagined. We were very happy with our choice to use her as our day of planner. I would highly recommend her to anyone planning a wedding!

I can't say enough about Jill and her team! My goal as the mother of the bride was to have a stress free day and enjoy every second. jill had everything under control. She was well aware of what we wanted to happen and made sure it did. She kept me informed through out the event. jill went beyond expectations to make some things work out for our other vendors. She provided excellent advise and there was absolutely nothing she couldn't handle. Would definitely use her again.

I love Jill!! From he moment I met her I felt so comfortable with her and had confidence that she would do a great job on my big day! She listened to what I said and had some great advice for me that I am using and worked with me. I haven't had my wedding day but I'm sure I'll be back to write another great review about her!

I hired Jill for day of coordinating for my wedding. She was absolutely AMAZING. My wedding was at my parents waterfront home so we had a lot of concerns regarding space and weather. She made sure that no matter what our event would be perfect and helped to make sure no stone was left unturned during the planning process. The week before my wedding my family and I were relaxed and enjoying ourselves (which you typically don't hear any brides say about the week of their wedding!!). This was all because of the hard work Jill put in to make sure everything ran smoothly. All of her planning was completely on point with exactly what we wanted for our big day and we were able to fully enjoy ourselves in the moment. Jill even brought my husband and I dinner so we could sit down with each other and actually EAT at our own wedding (another think you don't hear many brides say). I can't say enough good things about her and her staff. I would highly recommend hiring her, she will make your day absolutely perfect and you will be able to fully enjoy yourself!!

I chose Sunkissed Events for day-of wedding planning services, since I was planning my own wedding but needed someone to help things run smoothly on my actual wedding day. I was initially hesitant to spend the extra money on this service, as I am a very organized, plan-ahead type of person, but this proved to be money well-spent.

From day one, Jill was readily available to answer all of my questions, suggest quality vendors within my price range, and would check in with me periodically to make sure I was on track with my planning. As the day grew closer and I started to realize just how many last-minute details there were that I hadn't even considered, I met with Jill and her team and they made the process so much easier. They constructed a timeline of events, created a layout of the tables, seating, bar, and contacted all of my vendors to confirm dates, times, and specifics.

One of the team members, Lizzy, expertly directed my rehearsal dinner, and both she and Chelsea were there on my actual wedding day. They did a FANTASTIC job! They made sure people were where they were supposed to be, helped with set up (e.g. putting over 100 of my labeled mason jar drinking glasses in alphabetical order), and pretty much saved the day by bringing me drinks and my own personal tray of appetizers so I could actually enjoy the food I had spent so much time picking out. I really don’t know what I would have done without Sunkissed. My wedding turned out PERFECTLY, and I owe a huge part of that to these excellent coordinators!!

If you are at all on the fence about whether or not to hire a full or partial wedding coordinator, please take my advice and go with this group. It will be worth every penny.

We love the Sunkissed team that worked with us to make our day perfect. Jill and Lizzy were a breeze to work with and everything on our wedding day was magical. I really could say so much about Sunkissed Events, but I will just say you will not regret hiring them to help complete your day, best decision we made in wedding planning.

We hired Jill for day of wedding planner for a wedding at our home. First of all I should say don't look any further. Hire Jill. She will make your night perfect. The day after the wedding our guests were still talking about what a wonderful job she and her staff did at our wedding. She pretty much did full service wedding planning for day of price. She was in constant contact with us regarding all of our vendors, she thought of everything that we did not, she designed our table lay out for our wedding , helped our 1 1/2 year old flower girl make it down the aisle all by herself and helped take care of a generator problem and didn't stop until it was resolved. She's amazing. Jill gave recommendations for everything and knew exactly what kind of wedding my daughter wanted. She gave input but was never too pushy. The day of the wedding I just relaxed. I enjoyed my daughters wedding and danced all night long. Jill and her staff are amazing, we have two other daughters and will DEFINITELY be hiring her and her staff and recommending her to everyone we know.
