    Great Wedding Planners

    The team at Something to Celebrate made my wedding day so much less stressful. The wedding day timeline put together by Melanie was impeccable and very thorough. Christina's bubbly energy kept me going throughout the day of the wedding. Having their services available once putting a deposit down was an added bonus as they were able to help me with vendor recommendations. Overall, they gave me peace of mind and I knew that if there were any issues on the day of the wedding, that they would be able to handle it. They were absolutely worth the money!

    The best in the game!

    Melanie rocked it!! She is so attentive and comes with a very impressive knowledge of the industry. She led us through the entire process and had an answer for every question, sometimes before we even asked! I can't recommend her and her team highly enough. Our day was perfect and we couldn't have asked for anything more 🤍

    My husband and I can't express enough how amazing STC was. Melanie Richardson was truly exceptional, and it was such a pleasure working with her to plan our wedding. She made the entire planning process enjoyable and put us at ease every step of the way. Melanie executed everything flawlessly, most importantly, brought our dream wedding to life. We wish we could relive our special day over and over! Can’t recommend her enough!

    Our wedding would not have been what it was without the incredible help of Melanie and her team! We met Melanie a year before the wedding as she helped plan our engagement/ engagement party. I knew after the success and endless compliments at the engagement that I wouldn't want anyone else to help plan our day. I live outside of Texas and was very apprehensive about planning a wedding out of state. Melanie went above and beyond recommending vendors for me, visiting places I was unable to attend, and made me feel completely at ease with the process. I lost my mom when I was younger and was also nervous about planning this day without her advice and support, but Melanie was so quick to answer my endless questions and help me gain a better grasp on planning a wedding, as I was completely lost at the start. She is very well connected in the wedding industry offering amazing vendor recommendations- we were not disappointed with a single one! Melanie helped bring my vision to life and I cannot thank her enough for all of her hard work. If I could give her 10/5 stars, I would!! If you are looking for a planner, look no further! You found the one:)

    Wonderful experience! SO happy I had Melanie as my Wedding Coordinator!

    I was so happy to have Melanie from Something to Celebrate help me through the whole wedding planning process! I got married back in December and she was super helpful even before she was officially on the clock as our months before and day of wedding planner! She is a great communicator and is very organized and very knowledgeable about vendors. I appreciated that she gave me a timeline/checklist of what she's taking care of and what I needed to do all leading up to the big day.
    On the day of the wedding I was stress-free because I knew the day was in good hands with Melanie!

    Best Wedding Coordinator/Planner Every

    I anticipated planning a wedding in 9 months, out of state to be a bit more stressful and challenging than it was. However, thanks to Melanie & her team we had the best day of our lives. Family and friends are still talking about how wonderful and beautiful the wedding was. Melanie helped with everything from reception design, transportation and full day planning for the rehearsal dinner and the wedding day. She was kind and calm and incredibly knowledgable/professional and I felt very grateful. Could not recommend more!!

    Melanie is amazing. Groom recommends 10/10

    As a groom, I have some perspectives on the wedding industry. In all of it though Melanie is worth every dime and more. She is incredible and made the process for myself and my wife easy, less stressful, and ultimately more fun. I can not recommend Melanie enough to any future couple, she is the best. Multiple vendors directly told us she is the best wedding coordinator/planner they have ever worked with.
    Grooms out there - she will make your lives so much better. Brides out there - her attention to detail is truly something to marvel at.

    All in all if i was to go back and get married again, I would first call Melanie and make sure she is available that week before booking the venue.

    Extremely helpful leading up to and on the wedding day

    We had Michelle who was an utter delight! She was actually the one who showed me around Ma Maison and kind of convinced us to choose the venue so it was so special to have her as our month-of coordinator. She was helpful and always willing to reply to a quick one-off text I had. On the big day I didn't have to worry about a thing with Michelle handling all the details. If there was an issue I didn't hear about it which was exactly the stress-free day I wanted. A big thank you Michelle!!

    Wonderful Experience

    Melanie is the best!!! She did an incredible job on my daughter's wedding. She gave us names of great vendors and answered any questions we had. Everything was perfect!! She was so organized and had every detail covered. She was even in contact with the entire wedding party, keeping them apprised of the schedule throughout the weekend. I can't recommend Melanie and Something to Celebrate enough!! Thank you for making my daughter's wedding everything she wanted and more!!

    Maria absolutely CRUSHED it

    Hiring Maria was a complete game changer! She made the entire process from start to finish such a breeze for us. I love how she would give me a few vendors to pick from based on my own personal style/price range rather than being overwhelmed with the countless options near the Austin area. She was in constant communication with us and even went out of her way to travel to our event space to make last minute decisions. I love how dedicated she was to making our vision come to life! I was never stressed once during the planning process because I knew she had everything under control. Even on my wedding day I knew she was on top of every single detail! I really could not recommend a better wedding planner and company. My wedding weekend was the absolute best weekend of my entire life and I know I have Maria to thank for so much of that.

    Not only is Maria professional and organized but she is very kind. I loved how intent she was on getting to know us as a couple so she could make our wedding day as personal as possible Ugh! I’m going to miss being in constant communication with her now that it’s over!

    Phenomenal Wedding Planner

    Hiring Maria was handsdown the best decision and experience EVER! We could not have done this without her and her team.
    Maria from Something to Celebrate was exactly what we were looking for when we started to plan for our wedding. Maria was wonderful to work with and helped us make our wedding dreams into reality! She is an excellent wedding planner who is extremely professional, organized, adaptable, friendly, works well with diversity, and is passionate about her craft. Maria did an exceptional job at supporting us through the entire wedding planning process, rehearsal and the day of the wedding!

    Our planning sessions with Maria were always so much fun! We learned a lot in the process and which helped us make more informed decisions. The Wedding Rehearsal was fun too. Maria did a wonderful job of keeping us organized and answering all our questions!

    She was a support not just for the bride and groom, but the ENTIRE wedding party and we all loved her! My wedding party and family was impressed by her professionalism, organization, leadership, and patience. My multilingual and multiracial family felt respected and positively seen/heard by Maria. She was always patient, never judged, and was always working to include my multilingual/cultural family members. Inclusion is a HUGE PLUS and an important value of ours!

    Maria also helped us hone in on how we wanted out wedding day to feel for both of u and for our guests. She set up vendor interviews for us, worked with our vendors to coordinate details on our behalf, and we could ask her questions whenever we were confused or split on a decision or wanted a sounding board.

    Thank you for helping us find amazing cake, dj, and photographers!! Maria was patient, honest, and listened to all of our ideas and visions and always open to questions and took time to respond…ALWAYS!!

    On my wedding day, I did not have to do a single thing, but show up. Maria checked on me and my now husband the night before and even the morning of! She also checked in (in person) with both bridal parties the morning of the wedding.

    Maria is a Gem. I truly mean that. We loved working with her and would absolutely recommend Maria to any couple who wants to be taken care of, wants to work with someone who is both professional and energizingly fun, and wants their dream wedding to come true.

    Recommended without reservations!

    After getting engaged and picking a venue, we started looking at all of the things we had to do and decided to make hiring a coordinator the third stop on our list. Melanie was excellent from the moment we met and understood our not-too-spooky classy Halloweenish ideas completely. She made a huge design document encompassing all elements of our wedding and was immensely helpful in coordinating all the little moving parts we CERTAINLY would not have though about. STC is not the cheapest service you're going to find but it's assuredly worth the price when you take into account all the work that goes into the planning, coordinating, details, etc. that YOU then do not have to worry about other than replying to e-mails, making choices, and showing up to meetings. I like to think of myself as pretty organized (at least compared to the average person) but Melanie had spreadsheets in her spreadsheets. She even had to go to (figuratively) fight against some vendor employees when they insisted on messing things up. :) Overall, 5/5, would recommend, just sign the contract.

    Melanie Richardson was amazing!!

    We were so lucky to even be able to GET Melanie Richardson, because she is in such demand. I just can't say enough great things about her. From the very beginning, Melanie kept us organized and on target. Our wedding was at our ranch, which was harder to coordinate, since every single thing had to be brought in. Every vendor Melanie suggested was first class and did a fantastic job. From the photo bus to the beautiful clear tents, the rented couches and furniture, to the amazing food and flowers, everything was incredible! And the week of the wedding, Melanie was in touch with the entire wedding party, keeping them updated on the schedule. Our pastor, who has conducted hundreds of weddings, commented that Melanie was the most organized coordinator he had ever worked with. Melanie is fantastic, and you will be grateful if you are able work with her.

    Amazing experience - highly recommend

    If there was an olympics for wedding planning, "Something to Celebrate" and their "Month of" service would take the gold. I can't begin to explain how amazing this team, process, and new relationships I've formed have impacted my life. When I first began working with the team, I immediately felt excited, prepared, and informed during the planning process. I was paired up with Melanie Richardson, who is THE GOAT/ VIP. Melanie is first and foremost an expert in her field, kind, patient, logical, creative, and such an amazing person to go to for perspective, advice, and planning. She took her time to go through all of the logistics, ideas, and thinks outside the box to help you out in any way she can. Our wedding was originally supposed to be in March, but because of COVID, we had to cancel 5 days before. As you can imagine, the sheer panic of rescheduling and the unknown was paralyzing. Melanie stepped in to help and went above and beyond her duties to help me. Her relationships with wedding vendors is unlike any other I've seen or heard of. We were blessed to be able to reschedule our wedding for July and like the true amazing coordinator she is, Melanie was incredible before, during, and after our second date. I can't begin to express my gratitude for her. Even though I pride myself in being an organized professional myself, there's no way I could have had the wedding like I did without the Something to Celebrate team and Melanie. If you are looking for some help the month of and day of your wedding, THIS is your team!!

    Magical Melanie!!! ⭐️

    Melanie from Something to Celebrate is without a doubt the BEST wedding planner and I am so grateful to her for everything she has done for me and my now husband leading up to the day, on the day, and since then! Melanie is always considerate, kind, hardworking, and organized. She gives so much of who she is to her brides, and there was never a time where she didn’t stop exactly what she was doing (in sickness and in heath) and offer her whole self to support me with planning, even if it was just a silly this-or-that question. She has years and years of expertise and understands Austin/Dripping Springs vendors extremely well. Whenever wedding planning felt overwhelming for me, Melanie was calm, steady and reassuring. She was my rock at every turn. When the wedding day arrived, she handled a million little timing changes and my stressful family drama with such grace and commitment to my vision that I truly felt at the end of the day that everything was “perfect” and I couldn’t even tell what had been going on behind the scenes. Melanie even went out of her way to find me a sentimental dessert I had when I lived in Taiwan for me to enjoy after the ceremony. That’s just the kind of person she is!! She listened intently to my vision for the day, took genuine interest in my life and my love story with my now husband, helped me organize my budgetary priorities, and went above and beyond to fill my wedding day with personal touches. She also helped me stay in the moment and always put my feelings first. Having complete trust in her gave me the space to soak in every moment of my wedding weekend. Looking back, my wedding day was so detailed, beautiful and sentimental, I know in my heart I owe so much of that to Melanie’s hard work and thoughtfulness. She is an incredible planner and a wonderful person!!!

    Amazing 2 year old party!

    Maria absolutely killed it for our party!!! It was a 2-year-old/Mother’s Day party and all the kids had a blast, the moms were pampered, and the dads also had a great time. She listened to everything we asked for/wanted and planned a truly fantastic one-of-a-kind party. Her ideas were super awesome, and she really catered towards the kids. It was incredible to show up to an already set up party and leave with little clean up, Something To Celebrate took care of it all. Maria and team were also present throughout the whole party making sure it ran smoothly and everyone was happy. She is truly awesome. You should 100% hire her! I know we will again!

    Outstanding!!

    We hired Melanie Richardson to coordinate my daughters December wedding in dripping Springs and it was the absolute best decision we made! Not only was Melanie professional and organized, but her laid-back personality and sense of humor made her a joy to work with she was very easy to communicate with and was always prompt in responding to our many emails and phone calls. She listen to us and created exactly what we wanted, and because of her years of experience she was able to give us many ideas on how to make the event flow smoothly. We are not from the Dripping Springs/Austin area, so we hired most of our vendors based on her recommendations. Every vendor we went with provided excellent service and we were extremely pleased. Her attention to detail is amazing, and because of this I was able to relax and enjoy the day of the wedding. When the groom’s cake was delivered and it did not look exactly as ordered, Melanie was very calm and professional and quickly thought of a quick solution. None of the guests realized there had ever been a problem with it. Melanie proved her organizational skills the week of the wedding when we had to make the decision to move the ceremony indoors due to inclement weather. She spent countless hours on the phone with the florist and caterer to discuss these last-minute changes to ensure that everything was perfect. On the day of the wedding, everything looked gorgeous and the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception were just as we had envisioned them. Not only did the majority of our guests comment that it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever attended, but also stated it was the most fun they had ever had at a wedding. Everyone had a fantastic time! Thank you so much to Melanie and to Something to Celebrate for making my daughter’s and son-in-law‘s wedding absolutely perfect! I have two younger daughters, and will not hesitate to hire Melanie to coordinate both of their future weddings!

    Can't say ENUF!!!

    Let me start by saying, I CAN'T say enough great things about Maria of STC!!
    When I first met her over Zoom, she was professional but very PERSONABLE (I like that!). I was needing some help in planning my sister’s elaborate Baby Shower, and Maria turned out to be THAT "go-to" person. I hired her immediately! She understood my vision and ran with it! Just what I needed!
    I’ll never know how she was able to pull it off in such a short amount of time, but she DID! From the balloons to the flowers to the DJ - every last detail was first-rate, stellar! All along, Maria was there with her clipboard, making sure everything was perfect & on-time - from start to finish. We are still getting compliments on what a beautiful event it was!
    I look forward to working with Maria again….hopefully soon.

    Amazing!

    The best decision I made during the wedding planning process was working with Melanie at Something To Celebrate. She made the planning process fun and stress free. Whenever I had questions or concerns, I felt extremely comfortable asking Melanie for guidance and she was so kind and helpful always. I felt like it was always a team effort getting things done, and thats what made things fun!! Throughout the whole planning process I felt a weight lifted off my shoulders because I knew Melanie was there to help me in any way that she could & keep me on track with the small details. When it came down to wedding day, Melanie and her team at STC were more than incredible. The day was run absolutely perfect thanks to them, and I got to sit back and relax knowing they were there supporting me and making sure the day ran smoothly.     In the words of my new father in law, “Melanie Richardson is one of the most badass coordinators” and I’d just like to say we had an absolute wonderful (and fun!) time working with her and her team for our June 2021 wedding. Seriously believe me when I say we could not have done it without her. Melanie - Thank you for your exceptional attention to detail, all of your timelines and reminder emails, the late night 2 hour planning meeting (it had to happen), and for sticking with us through the twists and turns of planning a wedding during COVID!

    Melanie is the best!!!

    Working with STC was easily one of the best decisions I made for our big day. Melanie made the wedding planning process fun and as stress-free as possible! She was professional, flexible, and super helpful. I don't think I ever had a question she didn't know the answer to! Looking back on our big day, it is incredible how much Melanie did for us to make sure it was perfect.

    I had such an incredible experience with STC! Melanie was absolutely amazing. She was extremely responsive, helpful and professional. When it came to my big day, she made everything as stress free as possible and kept us on schedule without being pushy. I would rate higher than 5 if I could--STC & Melanie made my wedding day and planning so much better!! She created a detailed timeline and shared it with all of the parties involved in the wedding and was there for every small planning question I had! I will recommend STC to everyone I talk to :)

    The best coordinator!

    We are so so thankful that we hired Melanie with Something to Celebrate to help coordinate our wedding. Even in the most perfect circumstances, wedding planning always comes with a good deal of stress, and we had the added bonuses of having to plan our wedding from afar during a pandemic. But despite all that, we really felt that we were never all that stressed because we knew we had Melanie in our corner. When we left our first meeting with Melanie about 6 months before the wedding, my now husband and I turned to each other and just were in complete awe of how organized she is and how she had thought of so many things we never would have thought of...her timeline is a work of art! She also was so helpful in making sure we had the right numbers for our linens and rentals as we went through various iterations of guest counts and table settings (oh hey COVID!), and she even helped us pick up rentals directly from the company, saving us an extra delivery fee. In the final weeks and days leading up to the wedding, our friends kept checking in on us to make sure we weren't going crazy with the minutiae of the upcoming wedding, but every time, we kind of shrugged everything off and noted that we really were pretty relaxed overall because we knew we were in good hands. We knew that Melanie had already come up with backups for the backup plan. It also helped tremendously that Melanie also works as a venue manager at our venue (Ma Maison), so everything was just so smooth. 

    On our actual wedding day, things went off without a hitch...or at least they seemed to from our end! I'm sure there were things that popped up here and there, because they always do, but we never heard a peep of anything and instead were able to just completely enjoy the night. Our friends even commented that it was the most efficient and well-executed wedding they had been to! We are so grateful we had Melanie help us through the whole process and would hire her again in a heartbeat!

    Melanie= the GOAT

    Choosing Melanie as our wedding planner was one of the best decisions we made throughout the entire process. She was always super organized and professional and took great care to fit our ideas into our budget. She was also very flexible as plans changed due to COVID and always let us know of changes! 10/10 would recommend anyone to choose Melanie!! She is the best!

    Melanie is the absolute best!!

    I can’t speak highly enough of Melanie at Something to Celebrate. We had an extremely poor experience with another Wedding Planner in Austin and began working with Melanie in the midst of postponing our wedding because of COVID. Our wedding should’ve been completely planned when Melanie took over but little did we know that there were some major issues with our big day. I can honestly say that without Melanie, I don’t know what our big day would’ve looked like... she literally saved our wedding!! She is attentive, detail oriented, more organized than I ever thought possible, funny and just an absolute joy to work with. I wish we would’ve gone with Melanie and Something To Celebrate from day 1 because it would’ve saved us so much stress and worry!!

    I’m beyond thankful for Melanie and consider her a friend after all of this. My husband and I would recommend her a million times to anyone looking for someone to help make their big day the best day ever!!

    HIRE THIS COORDINATOR!! I hired Something to Celebrate for day of coordinating services, which also means 2 in person meetings prior to the event to get all of the details straight plus lots of emails to answer my questions and help me prepare for the big day. Jessica Moore is a true professional, and knows everything there is to know about throwing a great party and executing a perfect wedding. I knew I had nothing to worry about with her on my team. This team is incredibly detail oriented and provides everything needed to ensure everything is exactly as I had envisioned. She took over all communication with my family and vendors for the week of the wedding so I could relax and enjoy this special time. She handled my family perfectly, managed the rehearsal, and every little detail the day of. She even made sure that my new husband and I had a few moments to take everything in after the ceremony with just the 2 of us. I could not recommend Something to Celebrate more. My only job was to enjoy my wedding, and I am so incredibly grateful for that. Thank you Jessica for making my dream wedding a reality.

    I am so thankful that we had Resha by our sides every step of the way in planning a very detailed fairytale! Resha made sure we were on track during the planning process with her extremely helpful spreadsheets. On our wedding day, I truly felt so much more at ease knowing she was there with us and by our side because I knew that Resha would tell us where to be and when, everything would be done in an extremely timely fashion and executed with the utmost professionalism. We were beyond thrilled and are so thankful for all that she did. We do consider Resha part of our family now!

    If I had it all to do over again - I would pick Resha and Something to Celebrate every time, no questions asked.

    Resha and the team at Something to Celebrate made our special day a BREEZE. My husband and I are both lawyers so we are both detail oriented, but very short on time, so we left a lot of the details up to Resha. She took the time to get to know both of us (as individuals and as a couple) and the wedding (a formal, intimate wedding in the museum district) was exactly what we hoped for! She went above and beyond and made us both feel very comfortable - and through the process has become a friend. We are forever grateful.

    Resha was absolutely amazing! She made planning our reception in 3 months easy and organized. I was not stressed at all for our reception in Texas. She had wonderful vendors and team the day of.     Kristin was our coordinator. She was very flexible to meet with us via conference calls and emails. Her recommendations on vendors turned out to be perfect. She always provided a list but they told me her top recommendation. She was very knowledge in events in Austin and on flows of receptions. She took all of my mom and my requirements and created a great event. We used her for vendor selection and day of coordination. Kristin did a great job the day of allowing my mom and I to enjoy the event and not have to worry about anything. Using a day of coordinator is definitely recommended so that the bride doesn't have to worry about anything.

    You definitely need to hire Something to Celebrate. And specifically Resha Zazueta as your event coordinator. This was our second time to use STC and Resha. Resha is an awesome person to work with. She understands the business and most of all she has a great team to back her up. My daughter’s wedding was outside at a ranch in the Texas Hill Country. This was a build-it from the ground up event. Resha made it fun and was always there when we hit a snag. As any FOB knows you want everything to go right. I knew we hit the mark when my daughter said to me that it was PERFECT! Thank you very much Resha and also to Megan who assisted the day-of.

    The best decision we made when planning the wedding of our daughter, was to retain the services of Resha at "Something to Celebrate". She was always a pleasure to work with and was a tremendous resource for all the special vendors who made our fabulous event possible. She is creative, tasteful, dedicated and passionate of what she does and does it all so well. She kept everything well organized, all the moving parts together, kept everyone on task and most importantly everyone calm. She always made my daughter, the bride, her first priority.     We have been working with Lauren since last May for our December 2014 wedding, she is amazing! She is very quick to respond to any questions or concerns that I had throughout the planning process. She provided wonderful referrals for other vendors and we even secured great discounts! We appreciated all of her attention to detail, our entire wedding party was blown away by the wedding weekend itinerary. On the day of the wedding, Lauren kept everything moving along so smoothly. If there was an issue, I had no idea! My husband forgot the rings and she worked it out. I cannot say enough about Lauren and the ladies at STC.     When I first reached out to Something to Celebrate, they were easily the most responsive, organized coordinating service I spoke to. For the first few months, I worked with someone who has since left the company. When she told me she was leaving and I would be assigned to someone else, I was distraught that the person who had convinced me to choose Something to Celebrate was leaving, but was open minded to her replacement. In the end, I think everything worked out better than I originally expected. Jacklyn, who took over, was supportive and helpful from day one. Everyone (bridesmaids, family, groom and I) were absolutely thrilled with how smoothly everything went on the day, and while she kept things moving she wasn't rigidly adhering to the set schedule, she let things flow but kept us aware of what was coming next and when. I can't thank Jacklyn enough for her helpful, supportive coordination of our weekend. It is in large part thanks to her that everything went off perfectly!     Crystal was our wedding coordinator and went above and beyond my expectations. She kept me organized months before the wedding and took the initiative to check on me to make sure everything was going smoothly on my end. I had to move to another state halfway through the wedding planning process, she accommodated our meetings around my traveling and through Skype. Crystal is professional, yet assertive when necessary, which made the wedding day very smooth on my end. She has outstanding people skills and knows how to handle all situations/people. Once she took over as point of contact , two weeks before the wedding, I did not have to worry about any last minute details and was very relaxed up until the wedding day. We were extremely satisfied with Crystal and would recommend her to everyone without reservations.

    I really cannot speak highly enough of Something to Celebrate and specifically, our coordinator, Jacklyn Rudd. From the very beginning, she was on top of finding us the best vendors in our price range, attending all of the meetings with us, and handling the behind the scenes small details that neither my husband nor I had time to deal with as we are both fourth year medical students. On the day of the wedding, she was solely responsible for making sure the day went off without a hitch - really, the itinerary was followed to a tee and everyone was complimenting us all night on how amazing everything was. All of our vendors were absolutely perfect, and we have her to thank for that. Not to mention all of the small things that she did for us, like sit through traffic for an hour and a half through pouring rain and hail on I35 to make it to a cake tasting with us. Jacklyn is professional, prompt in her responses, and above all else, one of the absolutely nicest people to work with. Definitely consider hiring her, you will not regret it!

    We used Crystal with the Something to Celebrate in Houston and she was AWESOME!!!! Hiring a wedding coordinator was one of the best decisions we made:) We had her for the day of but you get more than just the day of we met with her several times, unlimited e-mails - it is worth the money. My mom and didn't stress the day of because we knew Crystal had it covered. Her assistant Megan was wonderful as well!!! They did such a good job I can't say enough good things about them.

    We worked with Lauren Carillo out of STC in Houston and she was AMAZING. Honestly, the last few weeks before the wedding were basically stress free with her help. The day and night of the wedding I was completely relaxed knowing that she was in control and all we had to do was focus on each other....it was awesome.     I've got to say — even as a penny-pinching bride — the money we spent on our weekend wedding coordinator was worth every cent, and then some.

    We hired Jacklyn Rudd (http://somethingtocelebrate.com/#!/2/Jacklyn/57), who was more than on top of her game every step of the way. From the moment we met her out at our venue (which was well out of her way at an hour outside of Austin proper), Jacklyn put our planning stresses at ease and gave us the confidence to just go for whatever we wanted out of our big day.

    When we left our first meeting, she had gathered so many details that I felt like we could have thrown the shindig the very next day.

    Leading up to our wedding, she was a pleasure to work with via email in getting everything together. By the time we met in person again, it felt like we had known each other for years as she calmly handled itinerary adjustments big and small only a few weeks away.

    As the clock ticked closer and closer, she was quick to step in, communicate with our key players, field all of our remaining questions and present solutions to some of our last-minute dilemmas.

    On the rehearsal day, and the wedding day itself, Jacklyn handled unruly parents of the bride and groom, stayed on top of to-do lists, cracked the whip (nicely and professionally) on vendors, kept (ridiculously detailed and excellent) track of our photographer's agenda and helped us keep our overall itinerary to a tee.

    I don't typically speak in superlatives, but I honestly don't know what we would have done without her guiding us along the way and during the event itself.

    While her level of commitment helped keep our stress levels at bay, Jacklyn did so much more than that. She expertly orchestrated one of the biggest days of our lives and we're happy to have her as a part of how we preserve the memory.

From the beginning, Katie got to know us, listened to ALL of my ideas and helped me develop a vision for the wedding. Katie provided so much direction but was never pushy. She also suggested the best vendors; we loved all of them. Katie was also super helpful in laying out our budget and helping us stick to it. Katie is extremely detail oriented, she communicated well with us and our families and wedding party and left nothing unplanned so I was not stressed at all!     our side (bride) lives in Houston & groom's side from CA & most of his side had never been to Texas. My daughter wanted wedding out of town, but close enough to drive to & be in fun location w/beautiful setting: VOILA... Austin area!!! We decided to use a planner in Austin, so we would have "hands on" plus our planner would know 1st hand about vendors. I interviewed over the phone 3 planners initially, & even though I met w/one of them prior to actually meeting Jessica of Something to Celebrate, my initial phone conversation with her won me over!! Once my husband & I met with her, he agreed that she was the one & she would be a good fit to work with our daughter. She came prepared & I felt like I was being interviewed for a job, as she was so incredibly professional & competent in what she does. She grew up in this type of atmosphere & when someone owns a business that they are passionate about, then it's a "win win" situation. From start to finish, with curves along the way (who doesn't!), & a "worrisome" bride (not uncommon), we ended up with a beyond beautiful wedding & bride (groom too!) who was over the moon with everything, & guests even a year later (TX & CA) still raving!     I worked with Lauren Carillo of Something to Celebrate to provide month-of and day-of support. It was the best decision I made. She was thorough, professional, responsive and easy to work with. I never had to worry for one minute about something getting done because she knew what I was thinking and was on top of everything. She worked with my other vendors to coordinate dates and times and alleviated so much of the last minute anxiety about the small details. Trust me, if you're thinking about getting a coordinator but concerned about the price, it's worth every penny! I promise.

    Stop what you're doing. Hire uber-organized Jessica at Something to Celebrate. While some other coordinators I interviewed I would have loved to have been best friends with, I didn't hire Jessica to be my friend. I hired her to be no-nonsense and to manage the millions of details on my wedding day. Her and her assistant, Jacklyn, worked harder than any other vendor the weekend of my wedding. When there were hiccups she made sure I didn't have to know about them and made sure to iron out any wrinkles without making us, the bride & groom, aware they existed. Her obsession with details and organization, her myriad documents and layout plans, ensured that nothing was left un-coordinated. And, as it turns out, Jessica is indeed now my friend and I am so glad I know her. Thanks to Jessica and Jacklyn. Worth every penny. :)

    When I started planning my wedding, I was not intending to hire a planner. I had a small wedding and thought that I was smart enough to do it on my own. About two months in to planning I decided I needed some help! There is only so much information on the internet. I was not familiar with how wedding work until I had my own. I hired Katie Netherton from Something to Celebrate and I am so glad I did! She helped me navigate through getting all of the vendors I wanted, delegating tasks to family and friends, and looking realistically at what I could do on my own and what I would need to hire someone to do. She went above and beyond her contract. I hardly saw her on my wedding say and she kept everything smooth and easy for me, there was no stress. I recommend hiring Katie to any bride, she is a lifesaver and allowed me to relax and enjoy my wedding day!

    My husband and I were married at the end of April and Lauren was our planner. We were the first in our family to hire a planner and everyone noticed the difference that it makes. Our family could stop raving about how wonderful Lauren was and how excellent and smoothly everything ran. Everyone also commented on how nice and polite she was. Needless to say our wedding day was full of everything we wanted an more and would definitely recommend her to anyone getting married.

    This review is for Lauren in the Houston office.

    Something to Celebrate was reccommended by my venue (The Houstonian). I met with two coordinators here, Resha and Lauren. Resha was great, but out of my price range, so Lauren was the obvious choice. She is seriously the sweetest person ever! My services were day-of, but she met with me probably 3-4 times and was available through email and phone. I was able to contact her for anything I needed. She went to my church appointment and venue tasting with me to work out the final details She took all of my vendor contact info and bridal party contact info and sent out appropriate emails with itineraries.

    On the day of, she was awesome. She and her assistant set out all of our placecards, table numbers, pictures, and other decorative items. She passed out all of our send off items and even had her assistant pick up our party favors the night of the wedding (since they were food related).

    I would definitely reccommend Lauren and Something to Celebrate!

    Wow, what can I say! Jessica with Something to celebrate was awesome. She was the only coordinator I interviewed, after we spoke on the phone I felt completely at ease! She really took the time to get to know my then fiancee and me! I felt like I was catching up with an old friend! I felt very comfortable with her from the beginning I was planning my Austin wedding from Dallas and really took advantage of her vendor recommendations. They were all very reliable and professional! Even though she was only coordinating for the weekend of our wedding she was still available for any questions or concerns I had. On the day of she was totally professional and took the time to make sure we were relaxed and having a good time! I would highly recommend Something to Celebrate and Jessica!

    I'm an on site event coordinator at La Venta Inn in Palos Verdes California and I had the pleasure to work with Resha Zazueta and her great clients for their destination wedding here in California. Resha, along with Jessica are simply the best.......This was one of the more detailed weddings I've been associated with in my 6 years of planning and they nailed it to the last detail.........I don't typically work with outside coordiantors but for this January wedding, I'm glad that I had Resha there piecing it all together, she made my job easy, not to mention, and most importantly, her clients from Texas, they were thrilled in the end.........I wish I could work with you again Resha, perhaps one day........

    In my professional capacity I work with many vendors. My motto is "Attention to detail, leads to perfection." Something to Celebrate handled my daughter's wedding with my motto in mind, it was perfect. Mother-of-the Bride for Mimi and Ken.

    Definitely five stars....I wish I could give more. When I first met Resha, our wedding coordinator, I knew that I was in good hands. Her personality put my mind at ease, and within a few moments, she understood the vision that I had of my wedding day. She planned the layout of my reception, chose the linens, and guided me with the selection of my vendors. She was very quick to respond to any questions that I had, and she gave me her HONEST opinion, which is truly hard to find. Our wedding day went off without a hitch, at least I never knew that anything went wrong, as the crew from Something to Celebrate was on top of everything. I had a blast at my reception, and I truly was able to relax and enjoy my wedding day. I knew that everything was taken care of. I would highly recommend Something to Celebrate. 5+ stars!!

    We have been so pleased with Jessica's enormous help from Something to Celebrate. She has been involved in the planning process since our first month of engagement, so we have been privileged to have her insights into vendor selection, her expertise at vendor negotiation, and her shining strength of managing all the last-minute details in a way that made us feel STRESS FREE when the wedding weekend finally arrived.

    QUALITY OF SERVICE
    Jessica provided so many services that it's hard to cover them all, so I'll just list a few of her most obvious and useful talents...

    Vendor Selection - Jessica helped us choose six of our most important vendors by attending our meetings with them and then offered suggestions about our search for the rest. In hindsight, there was obviously a big quality difference in most of the vendors Jessica directed us to vs. the ones we chose ourselves. In particular, we never would have discovered our most awesome venue (the Terrace Club), our phenomenal photographer (Eric von Lehmden with studio563), our underpriced yet top-notch videographer (Travis Rodriguez with BTL Productions), or our unanimously-admired "AMAZING" florist (Amy Bodle with Merveille Events) without Jessica's guidance.

    Vendor Negotiations: This interrelates with VALUE FOR COST, but through Jessica's connections as a planner and her willingness to bargain for us, I KNOW we got a lot more for our money than we would have on our own. She has also taken a great deal of initiative in making sure that vendors treat us fairly and make amends when they don't. THAT is a big stress relief for people like us who find it hard to be confrontational ourselves.

    Organizing and Communicating the Event Timeline: Jessica's event timelines should be world-famous; she helped us think through EVERY CONCEIVABLE DETAIL and then distributed our ideas to everyone who needed to be on the same page. This step happens a few weeks before the wedding, and until this point, I was admittedly a little unclear about how everything was going to magically happen, so please know in advance that the magic WILL happen IN WRITING, and it will put you completely at ease.

    RESPONSIVENESS
    Jessica endured many long, tedious emails from me and always responded in a timely manner. Also, I learned that it was important to trust that a lot of communication with vendors was going on behind the scenes without my knowledge. Jessica strives to ease her clients' workload by only involving them in necessary conversations. As a detail-oriented person, I admit that it was hard for me to let go of some of the details in this regard, but in retrospect I think it was a good thing :)

    PROFESSIONALISM
    Jessica has a high standard of professionalism that she applies to herself, her business, and her vendors. She communicates her expectations both to her clients and her vendors, and she is not wishy-washy about holding everyone to her standards.

    VALUE FOR COST
    Upfront, I will say that Jessica's prices were higher than any of the other coordinators that we interviewed, yet we still chose to hire her over the others. According to my calculations, though, she saved us almost enough money to entirely COVER HER COST. I truly believe we got the best wedding for our money because we had a coordinator who knew which vendors were the best value for their cost.

    I also think it's important to note here, if nowhere else, that, at Jessica's suggestion, we ended up getting both a more expensive photographer and videographer than we would have otherwise, BUT I AM SO GLAD WE DID. I cannot say enough how true the sentiment is that these two people are probably the most important people you hire for your day because they produce what lasts from it. I only have a few pictures from the wedding as I wait for the whole package, but because our photographer was an expert, it's almost like we're back in the moment again. So, I'm glad Jessica guided us to these people and the decision to hire them.

    FLEXIBILITY
    Jessica was willing to meet in the evening throughout our entire planning endeavor because I was a teacher and couldn't leave school during the day. This dedication was much appreciated.

    I did want to mention that the contract itself is a bit inflexible; if you sign up for a service that you later think you may not need, Jessica prefers not to change the contract, understandably. We found a way to repurpose our payments to her for different services, so in the end we definitely got what we paid for. Just err on the side of caution if you think you might not actually use the Bridal Borrowing option or something :) You can probably add it later if you want (ask); it's just hard to remove it.

    I booked STC during my first meeting with Jessica, the owner/head coordinator. It was an easy choice because within minutes of us meeting, I knew she could see my vision, that she had a keen eye for detail, was super organized and would be wonderfully easy to work with.

    I chose the weekend package which included pre-wedding meetings, unlimited communication during the planning process and full service coordination on the wedding day... all at a price that was complimentary to my budget. Jessica and her staff went above and beyond the quoted services... and continued to follow through months after the event passed when I had trouble with a vendor who didn't fulfill their contract. Little did I know how invaluable having the STC coordinators would be.

    The STC staff worked so hard to make my wedding memorable and perfect from the smallest details to the biggest. I couldn't have pulled off such a great event for my guests without their services. I will continue to rave about Something to Celebrate for years to come!

    I came to STC after a horrid experience at a wedding venue in Wimberly, TX that put me out over $2k in deposits and plane tickets for failed planning meetings with their on-site "suggested" coordinator.

    I was living in DC while planning my central TX wedding, and I decided to hire a wedding coordinator to help deal with the stress of cross country wedding planning. As an event coordinator myself, I was blown away by the attention to detail, the involvement in the planning process leading up to the wedding, and the amazing outcome of our perfect day.

    We wound up leaving that original venue and going to a location Jessica recommended - Star Hill Ranch. Every single detail came together perfectly. She helped me choose each and every vendor, and even helped coordinate the handlers for our miniature donkeys who carried baskets of beer on their backs at cocktail hour. I told her I wanted a unique wedding and we had so much fun thinking out of the box together.

    Although Jessica and her staff were above and beyond professional, they were still extremely personable. My family, to this day, still talks about how wonderful and helpful they were, and my husband credits Jessica for saving our marriage early on when I freaked out on him the night before over some trivial detail I can't even remember. Jessica called me and calmed my nerves late that night.

    I don't regret a single thing about our wedding, and I'm positive I wouldn't have been able to pull it all off without Jessica and the STC team. I recommend her to all my Austin area friends.

    Initially I was hesitant to spend the money for a coordinator, but I am so glad I did. I haven't sat down and calculated the discounts I received by being a STC client, but I am pretty sure it paid for at least half of the fee for the coordinator. Thanks to STC our wedding day was absolutely perfect. No one was running around like a crazy person- or at least none of our friends and family! We were able to relax and enjoy the entire day as it unfolded! Theses ladies are fabulous and would do anything for you!

    Jessica at Something to Celebrate is AMAZING. Our wedding was a beautiful and flawless event because of her coordination and skills. …please, please…do yourself a favor and hire a wedding planner. It is by far the best money I have spent on this whole process. I can’t imagine doing this all without an expert in the field. Even if you think you have plenty of time to “do-it-yourself”, a wedding planner offers so much more:

    -They know the better and more reliable vendors.
    -They have unique ideas to help you along the way.
    -They can often save you money from these ideas.
    -Sometimes you can even get a discount from a vendor if you are working with a planner because the vendor knows things will just go smoother.
    -They will go with you on vendor meetings and ask the right questions.
    -They will help you stay on budget.
    -They will help you keep your theme and colors consistent across all areas: flowers, invites, decor.
    -and most importantly…They will be the ones running around making sure everything is perfect on your day…NOT YOU! (This is priceless in and of itself)

    After finally deciding that I needed a wedding planner, I spent forever trying to find one that 'fit right'. I came across Something to Celebrate and realized that I knew the owner from a few years back when she was starting up her wedding planning business. Little did I know how completely successful her business would be (I should have known though based on her self-titled type 'A' personality). I am so glad I hired these guys because they were so crucial in ensuring that I was calm, that my mother-in-law was calm, and that everything ran smoothly! They did such an amazing job making my ideal wedding, which was random thoughts and mental images, a reality! I loved working with each of them-they were so personable, organized, soothing, and fun to be around!

    Jessica was absolutely amazing...she not only thought of a number of important things that hadn't even crossed our minds, but she was able to offer insight in helping us make decisions when we got stuck.

    She was essential in communicating with the vendors and making sure everyone knew their roles and timeframes. She did everything with a smile, unless the situation called for a little muscle, which she was also happy to provide.

    We can not recommend Jessica and Something To Celebrate highly enough...she was probably the best value and most important vendor we could have brought onto our team. She will make your day run as smoothly as possible, and you won't have to worry about anything except having fun and enjoying your day!

    Jessica, thank you so much for making my daughter Lauren's wedding a great success!! We could not have done it without you and Something to Celebrate!! I was able to relax and visit with my family and friends the 3 days before the wedding, since I knew you had everything covered. In fact, several friends and family members commented before the wedding when we were visiting at our bridal hotel that I was the most relaxed mother of the bride they had ever seen.     We worked with Jessica Moore in Austin. Jessica did an incredible job as the day-of our wedding! She was so professional and competent - we knew we were in good hands from Day 1. We really appreciated the detailed task lists provided and "homework" in the weeks leading up to the wedding that kept us on track without making us overwhelmed. She is one of the most organized people I have ever met, and she and her associate were absurdly helpful on the day of with making things run smoothly. I highly recommend Something to Celebrate for a wedding of any budget/scale!

    We hired Jacklyn Rudd from Something to Celebrate to coordinate our June 2014 wedding and could not have been happier. Planning a wedding on a budget from 2000 miles away is not an easy task, but Jacklyn was there every step of the way to smooth the process, from identifying vendors to setting up phone consultations and keeping our planning on schedule. Jacklyn was invaluable the week of the wedding, managing the timeline and keeping things flowing smoothly, taking over all coordination with the vendors, and acting as point person for our large (and mostly out of town) band of family and friends. I never felt stressed leading up to the wedding and was perfectly relaxed the day of; our whole event went off without a hiccup. Jacklyn is professional, organized, and, most of all, one of the nicest people I have worked with. If you are looking for a wedding coordinator in Austin, definitely consider hiring her!
