Smooth Sailing Weddings, working with Sasha, was an absolute dream. She made the entire process go as smoothly as it could have gone. We wouldn't have wanted anyone else by our side and on our team for that day. She truly was incredible from the little things like making sure my veil and train were set properly as I walked down the isle (which I did not even feel her behind me setting them up, an absolute angel!!!) to coordinating with vendors and set up and break down, to I am sure the 100 other smaller things that made the day go perfectly. She truly took care of us from start to finish. Could not recommend working with her and her team enough! -

Choosing Sasha to be our coordinator was easily one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. We did “The Love Boat” package and started working with her a month before our wedding. But even before our work together started, Sasha would send us wedding ideas and even spent time showing us linen swatches.
Coordinating with Sasha truly helped us finalize things we had been working on, find the holes in our planning and helped us with the things we hadn’t even thought of. She was organized and strategic. On the day of, she and her assistant hit the ground running. They were on top of the decorating and all the little details.
One of the most memorable moments we had with Sasha was when she looked us each in the eye and reminded us to be present and take it all in. Not only was Sasha dedicated and organized, but she was also fun and brought a lot of joy to our day. There was easily so many things that could have fallen by the wayside or not come together but luckily we had Sasha there to make it all happen.
We cannot recommend her enough. Smooth Sailing truly made our day as smooth as it possibly could have been and we are forever grateful! -

Choosing the right planner was one of the most important decisions for us, so we met with multiple local coordinators and asked every complicated, “what if” question imaginable. Sasha not only had clear, confident answers—she followed through on every single one. From the very first meeting, we knew she was the one who could handle our big vision.
Our wedding was a huge production spread across multiple lawns at the Whalehead Club, and Sasha handled it like she’d been planning events on that property her whole life. She anticipated needs we didn’t even know we had, kept us ahead of every detail, and saved us thousands with her smart décor ideas and spot-on vendor recommendations.
Her insight was invaluable and made decisions effortless. She walked the venue with us, listened to our vision, and took the most detailed notes I’ve ever seen—nothing slipped through the cracks.
And the cherry on top? She brought in a content creator who captured the most magical behind-the-scenes moments of our day. It’s details like that that make her truly next-level.

I cannot rave about Sasha enough! I had booked Smooth Sailing Weddings in November 2024 for my November 2025 wedding and from the moment I met Sasha, she was so welcoming and made me feel that my wedding day was in the best hands! We met several times through out the year of planning and completely put my Type A brain at ease! Not only did she make an impression on me and my husband, but our families and friends raved about how amazing she was from start to finish of the day. Where do we even begin? Hiring Sasha as our wedding coordinator was, hands down, the single best choice we made throughout the entire process. From initial brainstorming, to keeping us on task, to organizing every little detail and ensuring that the big day went exactly as we had dreamed it – Sasha was with us every step of the way and we couldn’t be happier or more grateful to have met her. Not only was our wedding the most magical day ever (surpassing our expectations completely), but we feel like we came out of the process with a new friend. Sasha and her team are incredible. Have a concern? She’s there with solutions. Have a crazy idea? She knows three different ways we can make it happen. Forget something? Don’t worry – Sasha didn’t! It’s already on her checklist and scheduled to be addressed. Every phone call and Zoom meeting with Sasha left us breathing a huge sigh of relief, knowing we had someone in our corner who was handling all of the things we either didn’t want to or didn’t know we needed to. If you are on the fence about hiring a planner, we urge you to consider it – we didn’t think we needed one at first but now that it’s over we cannot imagine doing any of that without Sasha’s help and guidance. The first and best decision we made when planning our OBX destination wedding was booking Sasha Voronova as our planner! In the 8 months of planning with her co-planning package, her organization, checklists, spreadsheets, resource lists, timelines, and clear communication made what could have been a stressful process, one that ultimately felt easy, approachable, and fun! We enjoyed every virtual meeting, coffee meet ups, and ad hoc back up planning sessions when the weather turned on us heading into the wedding weekend. Beyond her professionalism she offered her incredible design and theme ideas to help our vision for the wedding come to life. At every turn she was able to hear our wishes, provide ample ideas or alternatives, and never pushed anything onto us we didn’t want or couldn’t afford.
On the wedding day, Sasha and her assistant Alta orchestrated every detail with such poise and precision that we hardly had to think about logistics — we simply got to enjoy the moment. Their calm presence, resourcefulness, and personal care made our vision real. We highly HIGHLY recommend Smooth Sailing. -

We are beyond grateful to Sasha and the Smooth Sailing Weddings team for making our wedding day absolutely seamless! From our very first Zoom call, Sasha’s warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail stood out. Although she was our “day-of” coordinator, she went far above and beyond, holding multiple Zoom meetings and keeping us organized with her incredibly helpful spreadsheets.
Three days before the wedding, Sasha took time out of her busy schedule to walk through the venue with us, ensuring every detail was accounted for. On the wedding day, she arrived bright and early and immediately took charge, coordinating with our caterers, event rentals, DJ, and wedding party to keep everything running smoothly and on time.
Her organization and calm presence took all the stress off our shoulders so we could truly enjoy our day. The table setup was stunning, and when unexpected weather forced us to move the reception indoors, Sasha pivoted effortlessly. She quickly rearranged the space, moved the dinner tables, and made room for the DJ and dance floor—without missing a beat.

I first heard about Sasha I believe on Instagram. I live in Pittsburgh, PA, so when we decided we wanted to get married in OBX I had to do lots of research. I really enjoyed how Sasha posted on Instagram of weddings she has done. I also was new to the wedding details when planning and had no idea what a coordinator did LOL. I chose the “day of coordination” and I couldn’t have been happier. I did lots of planning and organizing myself, so when we came down to OBX for our wedding, it was “smooth sailing” for Sasha and Alta ;)
During wedding planning it was frustrating to not know how the day is going to go with all the small details. And as mentioned before, being out of state can be very frustrating. We got married at an event home that has never had a wedding where our vendors were before, so nobody knew how it was going to be laid out. Of course, it ended up being beautiful thanks to Sasha and Alta working their magic.
I was surprised when Sasha made the wedding timeline and put when she would arrive and when she would be leaving the wedding. She and Alta worked all day!!!! I was also surprised that the day of, I didn’t lift a finger. Sasha made sure to find me throughout the morning and ensure that everything is going ok and to just relax.
I cannot think of anything that Smooth Sailing needs to improve on. The communication was amazing and professional. Throughout this process you truly seemed like a friend. You were amazing to my family as well. The prepping of the tables and details was awesome.
Originally we were not going to book a wedding coordinator. I believe I only had phone calls with Sasha when trying to find someone. With an out of state wedding and my guest count being 40, it felt as though I didn’t need someone to help. HOWEVER, Sasha’s day of coordination package was perfect for us. It allowed us to do the “wedding planning” over the year of being engaged. But a few weeks before I truly felt like Sasha took all the “planning” and details of vendors off my hands. I also went ahead and booked with Smooth Sailing because I wanted less work to be put on my family and myself the day of. Having someone like Sasha and Alta there made everyone enjoy themselves so much and be more in the moment.
I recently had a Pittsburgh bride who’s getting married in OBX reach out to me about my vendors I used. She mentioned she doesn’t think she’ll need a coordinator because her wedding is a “small” wedding. I told her that no matter the size of her wedding, to hire Sasha for the day of coordination. While planning you don’t think you’ll need one. But once the day roles around, you will be thanking yourself for hiring someone like Sasha, and I mean specifically Sasha LOL.
I would 110% recommend Smooth Sailing to everyone. Working with Sasha was seriously amazing. Her organization throughout the whole thing. Her way of navigating problems throughout the day. My dad had a moment before walking down the aisle and Sasha was able to help him breathe throughout his emotions. Seeing Sasha work with other couples makes me jealous because she was just such a light of joy on our wedding day and I hope other couples see her passion for this as much as we did. You truly have found what your made to do in life Sasha.

Working with Sasha at Smooth Sailing Weddings was truly one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. From the very beginning, she was professional, warm, and incredibly organized. She took the time to set up Zoom calls with us ahead of time to fully understand our vision, down to the smallest detail. I felt instantly at ease knowing she was listening closely and genuinely cared about bringing our dream to life.
What truly stood out was Sasha’s calm and professional presence throughout the entire process—especially on the wedding day. Sasha and her assistant handled everything behind the scenes so seamlessly that we were able to be fully present and enjoy every moment. She flawlessly coordinated with all of our vendors and the venue, handling every moving piece with such confidence. The wedding rehearsal coordinated by Sasha was also especially impressive—so smooth and well-run.
On top of all that, she offered a stunning wildflower decor piece for rent that added the perfect finishing touch to our overall look. It tied everything together beautifully and reflected our style perfectly.

I can’t say enough good things about this group. I paid for the month before package and it was just right for me as a DIY bride. Sasha was always quick to respond to my questions, kept me on track for the all those little things that add up at the end, and made our day absolutely perfect. She took all of my ideas and made them come to life. I have gotten so many text messages from our guests raving about how beautiful the wedding was.

We cannot say enough wonderful things about Sasha with Smooth Sailing Weddings. From start to finish she made the entire wedding process leading up to the day completely stress free for us. We were able to truly enjoy every moment of our special day. Her kindness, professionalism, and super fun personality made her an absolute joy to work with. I can say the same for her assistant Alta. We spent a year planning and I thought it was going to be tough to hand over the details, but they ensured every detailed of our wedding was handled so we could focus on each other. They even improved some aspects of the decor and handled things I forgot to even think about. Through out the day they went above and beyond to take care of us, our wedding party and our parents, they were all equally impressed. Her communication was seamless so we felt confident handing over our day to her and felt like we were in the best hands. Being from the OBX we were not blind to the risk of planning an outdoor wedding but she helped us walk through our backup options and kept me sane as we spent the week before watching a hurricane make its way through NC. Her calmness and confidence about it let me relax. Thanks to her and our vendor team it truly felt like our vision came to life and we had the wedding we had dreamt about.
If you are looking for someone who will make it look effortless to make your big day a smooth, stress free experience, please trust me, look no further. Even throughout the process as we talked to other vendors about who our planner was, nothing but wonderful, kind, positive things were said about her by other professionals in the industry. So she also has other amazing professional relationships with some of the best vendors on the beach.

Hiring Sasha was probably one of the best things I did for my wedding. It really is Smooth Sailing with her. From in person to FaceTime meetings, she answered any and all questions for me. We brought on Sasha and her assistant, Alta, to help as our day-of coordinators for our wedding in the Outer Banks. Both Sasha and Alta were absolutely amazing, as they were both so communicative, creative in the setup, and intuitive in how to help create our vision - they even climbed a tree for us! Truly amazing event planner in the Outer Banks!
I booked Sasha as an event planner for a Cinco de Mayo themed party in Corolla I was organizing for the graduating MBA class of Duke University. Working with Sasha was invaluable and she was amazing at helping me bring the party to life and make sure everything ran smoothly. It was a challenging task because we only had like 3 weeks to plan a 300+ person party, and I had never been to the Outer Banks and I was not going to arrive until the weekend of the party, so all the planning on my end was remote.
Sasha went above and beyond to bring our vision to reality, took a lot of stress off my shoulders in planning the party, and found creative solutions to allow us to stay within a limited budget. She had great recommendations of vendors such as caterers, decorators/rentals, sound equipment, etc. and they all turned out to be great thanks to her recommendations.
Some of the things that made Sasha stand out were:
- She met with the venue manager in person and facetimed me so that I could see the venue in real time and we could brainstorm dance floor, tables, catering, and decoration placement together
- She helped me with the challenging task of bringing in live plants into the venue - I really wanted to include large live plants into the venue and she figured out how to make it happen and still stay within our budget
- She had great taste, so I was able to really trust her in her recommendations of decoration, such as linen colors, hanging dance floor decoration, dessert table design, etc and she helped me pick out many decoration items that really enhanced the feel of the party
- She was on all day on the day of the party, handled all vendors, and was able to quickly solve fire drills that I needed help with. This also allowed me to enjoy the party myself, knowing she was there taking care of everything behind the scenes.
- She gave me different points of view to what I was originally thinking in terms of floor plan design, etc. and allowed me to come up with a better design that fit the venue better and enhanced the atmosphere and highlighted the decoration.
I could make this review longer, but in conclusion, our party turned out great, and my fellow classmates had so much fun! Sasha is a truly amazing event planner and I would highly recommend booking her for your event. You will be in great hands! -
