The best decision you’ll make after choosing your partner is choosing Sara Landon.
We originally found Sara when looking for planners in the upstate New York area, fell in love with her on our phone interview, and then were sad to change our plans to a small and intimate destination wedding to a rural island in the Bahamas. As the coordination logistics in getting guests to the Bahamas became more complicated it was clear we needed help, so we immediately called Sara back and booked her.
Best decision ever. Sara is, all rolled into one, a highly organized planner, a motivational coach, a cruise ship director, an artistic visionary, a therapist, a masterful negotiator, a shoulder to cry on, and a friend to have a laugh with. We hired Sara three days before our site visit fully expecting to go on our own and she showed up to be there with us — an international trip during Covid — on three days notice. We found out there was no florist on the island - no problem, Sara foraged for flowers and leaves and built our arrangements herself. Our band, makeup artist, priest, and entertainment all threatened to no-show - no problem, Sara made secondary and tertiary plans and never even let us know there was an issue. Sara even signed our marriage license when we ran into some trouble with getting our priest to do it.
Probably the best part about working with Sara is that she made us feel like we were the only bride and groom she was handling. Our guests raved about her and her team and she worked tirelessly (literally, 7am to 2am on our wedding day after a whole week of other events) to make sure every detail was perfect.
Don’t think twice about hiring Sara, no matter how big or small your wedding. You won’t regret it! -

Words truly cannot describe how incredible Sara is. From our very first intro call, she went above and beyond to show how much she cares about her couples and making sure that the wedding process is not only seamless and beautiful but fun and enjoyable for the couple. My husband and I knew right away that she was the one! Almost immediately with very little direction, Sara understood our vision for the wedding and jumped in with every tiny detail. We used Sara for full planning for our Manhattan wedding at Tribeca Rooftop and it was singlehandedly the BEST decision we made for our wedding. She brought skill, professionalism, expertise, a positive attitude, humor, and impeccable taste and design vision to every element of our day. What makes Sara stand out from any other wedding planner is that no task is too simple and no decision is too small for her to weigh in, guide you, and offer her brilliant expertise. She is ALL IN on her couples and it truly shows. She also has a skilled eye for design, so we trusted her wholeheartedly when it came to decisions for design elements for our day. She handled all communication with every single vendor, navigated dozens of logistical changes, and had an A-list team with her to make the entire wedding run seamlessly. By the end of the wedding planning process, Sara truly knew what I was going to say or choose before I did. Sara is also INCREDIBLY organized — we had SO many guests tell us after our wedding that this was the best planned, most on-time, and smooth wedding they had ever attended. One other incredible aspect of Sara as a wedding planner is that she has close relationships with all of the best vendors in the industry. This helped us get above-and-beyond service from everyone we worked with. It is SO clear how respected Sara and her team are by everyone in the wedding and hospitality industry, and we felt so lucky to be one of her couples that got to witness it firsthand. I would recommend Sara 1 million times over and would JUMP at the opportunity to work with her again. She made our wedding dreams come true and we had the most perfect day because of her. -

We hired Sara Landon for our wedding in Manhattan, and she was phenomenal. From the very beginning, Sara understood our vision and elevated it far beyond what we imagined. Every vendor she recommended was perfect, her day of team ran flawlessly, and every detail showed her thoughtfulness and expertise.
She was incredibly responsive and supportive throughout the entire planning process, even during my most anxious moments. Sara consistently made us feel taken care of and truly acted as our advocate.
Our wedding was everything we dreamed of because of her. If you want a planner who is organized, intuitive, professional, genuinely invested in your happiness, and will work to bring your vision to life with tenacity, Sara is it. We CANNOT recommend her enough. -

Sara is an amazing person and a consummate professional. I can’t thank her enough for all she did for us - she helped us with absolutely everything. Every decision we made was informed by her good sense, valuable experience, and sound judgement, not to mention her great poise, tact and humor.
Sara ran each meeting with vendors and with us with fantastic efficiency and skill. Her taste and design sense were unerring. The vendors she recommended and secured for us were so so good. Her attention to detail and mindfulness of our budget also on target.
She also has an excellent team for the day of our event - Travis and Jessica along with Sara Rachelle did an incredible job.
In short, Sara crushed it and we had an absolutely amazing wedding. It was over the top, as many guests attested. -

Her Design Taste Level is Impeccable. Our whole wedding weekend was truly magical and beautiful, and this also coincides with Sara’s expertise not only knowing what she does , but selecting the correct vendors to use. We had our wedding at Lyndhurst Mansion in July 2023. We hired Sara Landon to be our full planner for our big day. When we met Sara, we immediately loved her sense of style, organization and the plethora of knowledge she offered. Sara was very mindful of our budget and worked with us to ensure we remained very much in budget - which was no easy feat! Her vendor recommendations were in our budget range and were professional and prompt. Our wedding day could not have been more perfect. Everything was managed by her and her amazing staff to perfection. If she could have controlled the smattering of rain that happened, we know she would have stopped it! Sara Landon and her team are absolutely unbelievable to work with. My husband and I got engaged at the tail end of 2020 and knew we wanted to get married within the next 12 months - landing on December 4th, 2021 at City Winery in New York City.
While originally contracting Sara for the month of the wedding, she also supported us with design and my many questions leading up to the event. She created a vision with our florist and venue that allowed us to lean into the holiday season, developing what can only be described as a magic - candles, greenery, pops of red and evergreen trees.
Throughout the entire process Sara was attentive, professional, knowledgable and, most importantly, FUN. She took every ounce of stress out of the wedding day and kept our rather large bridal party (18 people + bride and groom) and vendors (shuttles, florists, bakery, photo booth, band, photographers) organized and on time. I feel like I made a friend for life having had the privilege to work with her and I'm looking for excuses to work with her again. AMAZING EXPERIENCE! -

Hiring Sara and her team to help coordinate my wedding was one of the best decisions I made during the wedding planning process. Sara was organized, proactive, professional and comforting throughout the whole process. She thought of everything I hadn't and made sure I stayed on track with planning. For the actual weekend, Travis was the onsite lead and he was absolutely amazing as well. He was extremely organized, professional, and delightful company to have around throughout the wedding weekend to put my wedding party and me at ease. I can't say enough about the professionalism of Sara and her colleague. At every turn, Sara made us calm and took care of us like relaxed, honored guests at our own wedding (as we wanted). At the same time, when there were last-minute things we couldn't have envisioned (as there always are), she had the steady hand to guide us. Even more, she made our parents, our families, our friends, all feel like they were at the greatest party without a care in the world. How a wedding could ever happen on schedule and issue-free without Sara and her team is beyond me. Sara, Travis, and Ava were our day-of coordinators, though she stepped in to help much earlier than that. The peace of mind they provided in the weeks leading up to our wedding was invaluable, but the laughs and happy tears that were a result of them being with us on our wedding day were more than we anticipated. We never once had to worry about where to be and when, if things were being set up properly, if our guests were having a good time, or how we would get all of our things back to the hotel – Sara took care of all of this. On top of her experience, her energy brings a level of confidence that makes her the most necessary expense on such an important day. Sara went above and beyond for every aspect of planning our wedding. From responding to myself, the bride, within seconds at nearly every correspondence to managing the personalities of both sets of parents involved to interacting and cutting deals with the other vendors we hired - she was nothing short of perfection. Sara brought in an entire all star team to execute our full 2-3 day wedding weekend which went off without a single issue. As a mother of the Bride living in Honolulu and having a wedding in Montauk at Gurney’s, Sara was the BEST decision my daughter made!
She hired Sara for month-of coordination, which involved tying up all the logistics for the big day and executing the vision. We had a last minute desire to do a Candy Bar and Sara was instrumental in giving us the guidance we needed. She beautifully set it up for us too!
I was able to actually enjoy the day and not worry about a thing. She gave me great insight for my speech and certainly calmed my nerves. Sara’s entire team was so professional and they communicated well though out the day so stealthily.

Fabulous to work with! I (bride) got married Sept 2018 at Gurney's Montauk and hired SL Events to do day-of coordination and they did an amazing job. True to their mission, I felt like a guest at my party. They made the day stress free and handled everything so I just got to enjoy my day and spend time with my guests. I plan events for a living so have high standards and they get a glowing review from me.
Right before the wedding, there are so many logistics and little things that can fall through the cracks and they were on it all so nothing was missed. Also, SL Events saved me a lot of time and stress by having them come in and take over all vendor communication. They thought of things I didn't even think to ask. Highly recommend hiring SL events to make your wedding run smoothly. Also, Sara and her team are so sweet and professional and a pleasure to work with. -
