SDS Events LLC Excellent Service
SDS did an excellent job of servicing all of our post wedding party needs. They were very professional and attentive to all our details. We had an unusual situation because I'm an event planner as well but didn't want to do all the work for this event. With that in mind, SDS was able to adaptive their approach to meet all of our requirements. They were very timely, effective and efficient dealing with all of our vendors, managing all the "day of" activities and dealing with all the unforeseen issues that popup at any event. They are very professional. I would recommend using them for your event and I certainly will use them again as needs require. They truly exceeding our expectations.

I was new to the area and needed a wedding planner. Upon consulting a local production team SDS events were recommended as a good planner. I reached out and Shawon responded to my inquiry that evening at 8 pm, I was so impressed by her, and not I mention she had great energy. Shawon knew exactly what I needed and delivered up to our wedding day on 5/29/22. I recall every meeting leading to the wedding she kept asking do you want the catering company to set a plate aside for you and your fiance and each time I said no. Fast forward to the night after the wedding we were tipsy and hungry and when we got back to our room we had cake and two meals waiting for us. Shawon and her team delivered and I could not have asked for a better team. The day went smoothly and we were happy. Thank you, for making our day amazing.

I wish I could give a million star rating. The entire team at SDS is professional and made our wedding day a success. My husband and I hired the team to make sure everything flowed easily the day of our wedding, we went with the month of coordination package. From our initial phone call with the owner Shawon it was only about 60 seconds into our conversation where I knew I would be hiring SDS. Everything Shawon said her team would do leading up to our big day happened. We had weekly meetings with the team and these ladies kept up straight.They were organized, made sure they had every detail about what we wanted for our wedding day and answered all my questions during and outside of our meeting times. On my wedding day, I didn’t have to raise a finger. If anything went wrong, I still don’t know to this day because SDS kept everything together. Wedding started on time, lady in waiting went above and beyond, I mean everything was perfect. I promise you, you will not be disappointed with SDS. I am recommending the to every bride I know. I love SDS events. Shawon was definitely made to do this type of work. I hired SDS events as my Wedding Day Coordinator and I couldn’t have asked for anything more. Soon as my 30 day countdown started Shawon was READY to work! It got to the point where I was so blessed to have hired her because all my t’s were not crossed and not all my i’s have been dotted. She caught every little detail that my husband and I had missed during our planning process. Shawon kept me excited and made me feel like we had known each other for years. Moreover, my wedding day starting ON TIME, my lady in waiting Chassiny was the freaking best, and her whole team made sure my husband and I didn’t miss or need a thing. One of the Happiest Days of My Life
I knew that when I was a bridesmaid in my sister’s Rochelle Bellamy Mayfield’s wedding 6 years ago, that when I got married, I wanted Shawon M. Crawley and her team at SDS Events LLC to be my wedding planner. I hired Shawon for Month of Coordination Services. Mostly everything was planned out, but I still needed Shawon’s expertise and help with the final details of my big day.
I wasn’t at my best a lot but Shawon encouraged me and really made sure that I was in the right headspace. 5 days before the wedding, Shawon calls me and let’s me know that the reception space that Cam Claiborne and I booked that we absolutely loved was no longer available. I was devastated! Shawon was able to not only book our second reception room space for us, but was able to get our bridal suite comped for our inconvenience and some free upgrades to the reception area.
My wedding day was PERFECT. I wasn’t stressed or nervous about anything because I already knew the quality of the work that Shawon and her team does. Everything was executed on-time and flawlessly. She had the new reception space looking absolutely amazing.
My Lady in Waiting, Chassiny was great as well. She made sure I had everything I needed and assisted me in getting ready for the day. She even joined our swag surf at the reception!
Cameron and I would like to say thank you for the bottom of our hearts. And like Cameron said, we’re family now!

Our experience with SDS Events was absolutely beautiful
LONG POST ALERT...
On this date 1 month ago today @ 5pm I married my always & forever love Aaron Mobley.
After we got engaged, I knew there was only one person that I wanted to plan my wedding as I had been watching her (lowkey stalking) for many years of when she first started out & that was none other than Shawon M. Crawley of #SDSEvents.
Shawon met with Aaron & I for a consultation..she laid out her expectations.. asked for feedback on our expectations & what we were looking for as well..needless to say we opted for her full planning services.
I will admit, initially I was very indecisive about certain things I wanted ...I just knew I wanted an elegant wedding filled with lots of love. Once Shawon got a fill for me as an individual & Aaron & I as a couple..the rest was relatively easy. She knew exactly what we wanted & needed ..it was up to us to say yes or no...never any pressure but always willing to provide a solution...we trusted her fully with her knowledge & experience that came along with her credibility.
My actual wedding day couldn't have been more magical & perfect. If there were any major issues, SDS made sure I wasnt made aware of them. My lady in waiting Kayla was absolutely excellent & I couldnt have asked for a better individual to be with me until the very end.
Even though the excitement of that day has came & passed..its still lives on in our hearts & minds. We truly couldn't have executed the Randolph-Mobley flawless on time production without you & your team.

Professional, prompt, dedicated , loving, fun, organized, is what comes to mind when I think of SDS Events and Shawon. I couldn't have dreamed of a better wedding planner than Shawon and her team. Before I planned my wedding I always though that wedding planning, no matter what, was a stressful think. I was absolutely WRONG. If you gave the pleasure of working with SDS I promise stress will be a thing of the past. They made this process so easy and stress free. Shawon and her team really make you feel at ease, like they are family. I felt so heard, important , and like a priority during this planning process with them. I had a issue a seamstress that I hired (against Shawons advice lol). I casually mentioned how I didn't really like my alternation, literally in the middle of me describing my disappointment, Shawon is calling the seamstress letting her know of my experience. In the most professional way Shawon got every single penny of our money back from that experience. This is what I mean when I say she handled every single thing with so much ease and professionalism. I could go on and on about how amazing this team is. I recommend SDS to everyone. You won't regret it.

The Baddest Wedding Event Coordinator Around
I wanted to take time to thank Shawon and her amazing team of SDS Events. Your attention to detail and ability to make our ceremony just flow flawlessly is beyond anything I could've imagined. Through the whole process, you were there for us with whatever we needed. But mostly I'm grateful for how you and your team made sure my bride and I was stress free and made sure our vision was exceeded in the execution of it all. So my advice to all soon to be grooms, if your bride say that she wants to work with a wedding event coordinator by the name of Shawon and her SDS Events team, just know first, you're marrying one smart bride. There’s Seriously Not Enough Characters to Explain This Experience! Forever Grateful for our SDS Team!
To say being a Covid bride is an experience, is most definitely an understatement, but when I tell you OUR SDS team CAME THROUGH, that’s exactly what they did and then some!
When beginning the planner team search (being the OCD individual and bride I am), I did all the research I could on planners in the Charlotte, NC area and began setting up multiple meetings to weigh options on the best fit for Tim & I. Let's just say Shawon and I had our first meeting and it's been history ever since. I remember calling Tim right after saying, “Search is over babe, she’s the one”! Every time I felt I was overwhelmed , let's just say she reeled me back in each and every time. "We do not do stressed", "Trust me, I got you" and let me tell you: a move to another state, a canceled wedding date due to Covid, countless Facetimes, 2.5 years later---she has had me THROUGH IT ALL. ANY time I called her beginning to freak out, Shawon gathered me at ease (Which I’m sure was Tim’s favorite part😂). ANY hiccup that came along, when I tell you it was HANDLED, IT WAS HANDLED! Talk about a Fairy Godmother come true!
Unknowingly on my end, our wedding singer took sick early wedding week. Fast forward to rehearsal as I'm sitting, I hear an angelic voice TAKE ME AWAY. Shawon had not only found us a new wedding singer last minute, but THAT VOICE! HE WAS AMAZING!
Onto wedding day, from my 7:30am wake up call to finish our SDS team did what needed to be done! I'd be remiss if I didn’t special S/O to my Lady in Waiting, Tia. I didn’t meet Tia until wedding morning & let's just say 10 out of 10. Her vibes were unmatched and anything I or any of my ladies needed she was there ready and willing to lend a helping hand! I couldn’t have asked for a greater fit for this role! When it comes to business it’s a few things in particular I don’t play about & let's just say these ladies don’t either. Communication-Amazing. Professionalism-A1. Reputation-believe when I say the SDS name holds weight. Attentiveness- Spot On. Execution- UNMATCHED!
I seriously couldn’t have imagined a greater team to get Tim & I through this process. We are STILL to this day receiving compliments from family and friends on how BOMB and thorough our planning team was throughout wedding day & I must say… the only reply I can give is "OH TRUST, I KNOW " HAHA. BOOK THEM! I promise you will not regret it once. Like I told Shawon, "this a forever thing, you’re stuck with me now". To think in the very beginning, I thought I could probably do this all on my own, HA! Imagine that!
To Shawon, Tiara, Chassiny, Tia and the entire SDS team, Tim & I thank you so much for this experience. We are forever grateful for our Dream Team, you ladies are the epitome of greatness! It truly makes a difference when a team's actions display how much they love what they do & how amazing they are at it. I had expectations of SDS Events being a great planning team, but a planning team turned family was not in the agenda and I'm just so beyond pleased with the outcome!

I cannot speak highly enough about Shawon and the entire SDS Event staff. There wasn’t a time where I felt overwhelmed during the wedding planning process. The organizational skills and professionalism you receive is unmatched. You will truly get the most bang for your buck.
On our wedding day, an unexpected event occurred that almost bought me to tears. My Matron of Honor quickly pulled out her “run of the show” which had Shawon’s number listed and called her to let her know what was going on. Shawon knew the exact words to say in order to calm me down and reassure me that our wedding day would be perfect.

Nothing Short of Amazing...
Where do I even begin? Only being able to rate 5 stars to SDS is not even fair. Planning a wedding can be extremely challenging and when I first met with SDS, I knew immediately that our day, this experience and my level of happiness would be unmatched. They even made my idea of having a food truck at the end of the night come to life! Now that is what I call getting it done!
Planning a wedding during a pandemic is nothing I would wish for anyone but having SDS made me feel like I was protected from it all and continuously helped me focus on what I could control and created an amazing experience through a very trying time for all.
As we went through the year, there was constant communication, professionalism, timely responses, amazing insight, ideas, suggestions, honesty, appropriate push back, mentoring, early morning calls, late night texts and one amazing relationship formed.
I can never put into words what SDS did for me, my husband and how they lead the wedding of the century (you read correctly…wedding of the century!). However, I will try, so here are a few things I just have to make sure the world knows:
1. Shawon is simply amazing and if you don’t secure her as your wedding planner, that will be your first mistake, TRUST ME. Her professionalism, tenure, lens of life and reputation is all you need to have the wedding your heart desires. She knows how to plan and execute a flawless wedding and she is the BEST, I mean, THE BEST. She listens intently and makes sure that she takes the time to learn you not only as a bride but as a person and that is so important and shows up in so many ways throughout this process. She will not tell you what you want to hear but instead she will tell you the truth and what needs to be said. Throughout this year she was not only my planner but she showed up as my therapist (☺️), listening ear, support system and she may not know it but my newest friend and I will forever love her for being what I needed without me even knowing it.
2. Proper, Prior, Planning: I never and I mean never worried about one thing. Everything was always organized, planned and executed in a way that I was able to have the confidence that my vision would be seen by all to feel the love shared between Kenneth and I.
3. Execution: Our day was executed perfectly and I mean perfectly. Every encounter with SDS was done flawlessly. On the wedding day, I received my 7:00 am wake up call, I was given words of encouragement and told to be ready for one amazing day and that’s exactly what it was. When I walked out my heart was so full. Seeing what SDS along with the amazing vendors created was more than we ever imagined.
I will end by saying this, SDS is the best of the best and I would recommend them to anyone who is planning a wedding. I personally would like to thank Shawon and every single member of the team for all that you did for us. We are forever grateful and I'm trying to figure out what we can do next just to work with them again! I'm thinking #babyshower....

Shawon and her team were an absolute pleasure to work with! From the moment we met I knew that we had to have her plan our wedding and I’m SO glad we did. Not only was she very attentive to our wants and needs but she was also readily available at all times! The Perfect Flow
SDS Events is worth every minute of your time and your money. Once we turned our wedding planning over to them everything was stress free from there for us. Although all services were wonderful let me rave on one in particular... the organization of the order of the wedding day and the scheduling of vendors. We had nothing to worry about because SDS made sure that everyone was in place at their assigned times and they kept the day moving. They made sure to provide us with documents of everything needed, once received they took over. Oh by the way can we say “Responsive”. When we called, they answered, shoot sometimes they called us to put us on notice about things. I have recommended SDS Events to everyone who would listen.

Shawon McClure and her team are the most amazing wedding planning team! Before getting married, I’ve been in my fair share of weddings and was privy to a lot of the mishaps that can happen leading up to and unfortunately the day of a wedding. Because of this I did my due diligence in asking around to see who most people from work to personal friends would recommend. 99% of the time Shawon’s name came up and after I reserved her services with the wedding planning package We wanted, everything from that point forward was taken care of . Getting married during Covid is already stressful enough and Shawon and her team made sure that for my husband and I’s wedding day that everything went perfect from start to finish. We hired SDS events for month of planning and they were worth every penny. Shawon and her team helped ease my nerves leading up to the wedding and made sure everything went smooth on the day of. If there were any issues I wouldn’t know because they were so helpful in making sure I was stress free on the day of. Even with COVID, Shawon and her team were really proactive in making sure we were able to adjust to make our wedding day not only memorable but safe. The BEST Wedding Planner, YES!!!! Hero? ABSOLUTELY!!
Shawon and her team at SDS Events are incredibly and arguably one of the most professional, genuine and sincerely caring people I have ever worked with. From the moment I said yes to my honey I've heard, "You have to work with Shawon" or "Shawon is amazing you will love her" & "Shawon caters to her brides!" Well let me tell you... they didn't lie! Shawon exceeded my expectations of what a planner is. There was NEVER a time where I couldn't get in contact with her and IF, keyword IF she didn't answer on the first try, there was an immediate response. She was literally a phone call, Facetime :) email or text away. Unfortunately, three weeks before our wedding, we were informed that our Venue had closed. I was in total shock, disbelief and ultimately hurt and scared to be honest, but Shawon saved the day. Not only did she book several appointments for us the NEXT day her team was there to assist us in our search. That's not a planner, that's a HERO. (We went with one of the venues that she chose, and I must say we LOVEDDD it more than our original venue!) Shawon made me feel like I was the ONLY bride she was working with, she made me feel important and never left me in the dark. Even when she traveled she gave me a heads up with dates she'd be out of town so I was AWARE! She was there every step of the way. Any question I had she answered. She checked in on me daily/weekly to make sure I had what I needed mentally and to prepare me for my big day. She sent checklist which was a HUGE help to me and kept me organized and above all she was professional and instrumental in EVERY decision I made. ANDDD she GETS THE JOB DONE! She WORKS for her Brides and makes sure you have what YOU want. If you're looking for a planner that is professional, communicative, goes above and beyond for her clients, funny, your girlfriend, someone who makes you feel like you're the TOP priority then don't hesitate to book SDS Events! (I'm literally tearing up as I type this) I PROMISE you it's worth it. Although my wedding is over, Shawon has a special place in my heart and I will continue to text and call her LOL. Our Amazing Day

Midway during the planning process, we took s job abroad and spent 9 months planning away from home. Shawon was there, checking in with us and making sure everything was in order. If anyone knows me, you know I’m anal and a perfectionist in the nicest way possible lol. When I decided to get a wedding planner, I already knew I was going to do most of the work and just consult the planner for advice! The sole purpose was for them to execute my plans bc my life was hectic!!! When I tell you, that was NOT the case with SDS events!! After my first conversation with Shawon I knew I had to have her!! When we met in person, it felt like I’d known her forever!! She made my “extra-ness” feel normal lol! After that meeting my mind was at ease, I was relieved, and I didn’t feel like I needed to give her the blueprint to plan my wedding!!! Throughout the entire process I literally didn’t worry about a thing! I trusted her 100% and she never let me down! Her follow through was on point!!!!! If you’ve never met a stress-free bride, now you have!! After talking to other brides I would call Shawon and ask if I was suppose to do something or worry about something bc being stress-free is apparently abnormal and foreign!! She assured me I was good....and I really was!! Fast forward to my wedding day....everything that could’ve happened, happened! However, the entire team FLAWLESSLY executed my day!!! I gotta admit, I got a little nervous for about 2mins but it didn’t last long at all lol! To say the least, make sure you get you a planner that doesn’t crack under pressure, especially if it’s out of their control!!! If it wasn’t for Shawon, I’m not sure how I would’ve made it to the wedding day (probably stressed, in debt, and half crazy); and if it wasn’t for her entire team, ESPECIALLY Tia, I’m not sure how we would’ve made it through our wedding day! Tia not only made sure I was good at all times, but she took care the needs of my girls and my mother as well! When our guests mention how beautiful, well-organized, and amazing our day was they ALWAYS mention how on-point my planner and her team was (an entire month later and yes, guests are still talking about our wedding)!!! My husband and I are truly blessed to have had SDS plan our wedding! When my husband raves about an experience, it speaks volumes!!!! Please make sure you have a full-service planner and if you don’t choose SDS events, you’ll be doing yourself a disservice!

I mean I am not even sure if I have the words to describe what Shawon and her team did for us. They were a dream come true and I know for sure that our day would not have been as smooth without her!! I am forever grateful that Shawon, Tiara,and Chassiny (spell check) were there on my big day . I will forever recommend them for anyone getting married. They handled every detail, were there to troubleshoot any problems without bothering me, coached my DJ who was new to doing weddings, made us feel like celebrities, gave us ideas when we had not a clue, kept us ON TIME which was so important to me, made sure we had our time during our day, and kept us laughing. A gift for my special day
Wedding planning is hectic and time consuming. I admit I tried to do it myself while working a full time job. Let me say that was an epic fail. I reached out to several wedding planners. Settle on SDS event. While talking to a co- worker she referred SDSEvents. I called that a sign. Well I met with Shawron and Tiarra, can I say they were able to read my style right away. I felt a heavy load was lifted off my shoulders, literally.
Anyway as the months rolled pass my fiancé and I called off the wedding. Shawron did not push or fuss. When I called her back to tell her that it was back on. Shawron pressed resume “play” right where it stopped. She worked with my then fiancé and I so well. Shawron gives out free hugs too when you need it!!! They are free!!!
Any way on the day of my wedding , the air conditioner at the hotel room was not working. Shawron called me for a wake up call. She could sense I was upset. I told her I was hot and I did not have water. She said Don’t worry about it I will handle it , I will call downstairs to front desk. The next thing I know maintenance was at my door with a fan and a bottle of Dasani. I’m tearing up as I write this!!!!
When I say the service is nothing short of amazing and on point. She will work with your budget and allow you to make your dream come true without breaking the bank!!!

My wedding was 8/11/18 and I couldn’t have been more pleased and satisfied with the way my wedding and reception was executed and decorated! From the flowers, decor, food, cake, venue, bridal store, photos, and professionalism I received from Shawon, the rest of the SDS ladies, and vendors was outstanding! My guest are still talking about my wedding/reception and how fabulous it was! Shawon asked me if anything could have been done better, absolutely not! This was literally the best thing we spent money on! There SDS team were so amazing!!! They made my wedding day so stress free, I didn't even have to handle any last minute fallout ( as a matter of fact I didn't even know about it till after the wedding :). When we left the meeting my husband was convinced we could not have this wedding without her and her team lol! Seriously, your wedding day is one of the biggest days in a woman’s life and I am so blessed that god lead me to her (My fairy wedding mother). Like most brides I called her for every little thing and she was so professional, attentive, and knowledgeable every time! Even the day of the wedding my mind was racing wanting to make sure all my little details and signage was in order lol. Stress is just not necessary when you have SDS in charge! My overall experience with SDS Events was amazing! SDS Events surrounded me with love and support. As you can imagine; I was nervous and emotional some days. Choosing SDS Events as our wedding planner/coordinator was the best decision ever! I had meetings with other wedding planners and I was unsure of which company to choose until I met with Shawon; I knew instantly that we would work well together! I was convinced that planning a wedding in Charlotte, NC while living in Houston, TX would be difficult, expensive, and stressful and it was none of the above. Shawon made certain that my visits to Charlotte were productive, efficient, and stress-free. I had a situation with a Houston-area makeup artist that cancelled on me at the last minute, right before our engagement photos. Shawon not only submitted a review to the MUA on my behalf, she also helped me locate another MUA in time for our photo session. That is just one example of the many times SDS Events provided exceptional service and support. Throughout the planning process, Shawon would check on me regularly to make certain that I was following "the checklist", but also to remind me not to get overwhelmed. She was the perfect balance for my Type A personality. I not only gained an amazing event planning team, but I also gained a therapist, big sister, and friend. Even the wedding rehearsal was a home run. It was over in 53 minutes flat. And we ran through the ceremony twice! I was confident that the wedding day schedule would be executed flawlessly, and I was correct! I called Shawon the morning after and expressed our gratitude; I honestly don’t know how we could have pulled the day without her. Almost three weeks later I am still receiving compliments on our wedding experience. I have recommended SDS Events at least three times since then. Trust me, choose them and you will not be disappointed!

I got engaged in October 2015 and immediately started planning my dream wedding. Everyone who knows me knows that I'm a big Do It Yourself type person so I never thought I would seek the help of a wedding planner. I ended up moving from Charlotte to Virginia and quickly realized I needed help. Shawon of SDS Events came highly recommended by several people I knew, but they all didn't know each other so I took this as a sign that I definitely needed to choose her. We came into town for a consultation with her and Tiara and I instantly wanted to hire her. SDS should stand for Stop Dang Stressing because that's exactly what she did for me. Everything I stressed about or thought I would stress about her and her team handled with grace and ease. Her words to me were to take a deep breath, relax, I got you boo and everything is fixable. I started to hear those words in my sleep but it always helped and got me through and in the end EVERYTHING turned out absolutely beautiful and I couldn't have done it without her. She took the stress out of planning a wedding from another state for 100 guest coming from all over the US from as far as Hawaii. Guests are still talking about how beautiful it was and how professional (and strict lol) Shawon and her staff were. Please note she does not play about time management and professionalism. I'm admittedly a "Type A" "micromanager" (one of my personal mantras is "Don't Trust It - Just Do It Yourself" lol), but let's just say that Shawon had me at our first meeting when she handed me my own personal wedding binder equipped with tabs, timelines and checklists -- truly a woman after my own heart!!!
On top of her pristine organizational skills, she is quite possibly THE MOST RESPONSIVE BUSIEST WOMAN I KNOW. A cannot recall a single time that I called, emailed or texted Shawon and didn't receive a response in less than 24 hrs (many times within minutes!). I do not understand how she does it...but she does. She truly goes above and beyond for her clients.
Aside from organization and attentiveness, SDS has great relationships with local vendors and will help you find whatever it is that you need in order to bring your wedding vision to life. I had over ten different vendors involved (by my choice...I'm sure the SDS team would've loved to narrow it down :-)) and the majority were SDS recommendations. My wedding vision came together BEAUTIFULLY and my wedding day went off SEAMLESSLY. Thank you thank you thank you to SDS for all they did to make our wedding unforgettable!!!

I am a planner by nature but I can honestly say a wedding, MY Wedding, was the one thing I found that intimidated me. The major details such as when and where were covered, but my groom and I were struggling with the HOW. The flexibility, responsiveness, the detailed nature, and the positive attitude from the SDS team (Shawon & Tiara) was important for a couple like us going through multiple life changes at the same time (new jobs, school, moving, etc.) She never cancelled a meeting and would always be prepared to discuss anything we needed to talk about. From afar the wedding planning process seemed very easy but it can be overwhelming for someone who has never done it before. SDS Events came as a recommendation from our wedding venue and every step of the way, they gave honest feedback and were able to provide us with premium partial planning services. Once our wedding day arrived, Shawon (Owner of SDS Events) greeted me with a wake up call and assured me that anything I needed would be taken care of. That personal touch meant a lot to me but what we were most impressed by was the flawless execution of the day. Our wedding started on time as promised and our guests raved about how well things turned out. There was no way that we could have handled logistics, vendors, etc. and still enjoy our wedding day. If you want your journey to marital bliss to start off on the right foot, book SDS Events. FIVE STARS!

When I first reached out for wedding planning. I did not expect the immediate response I received from Shawon. When I first met Shawon and Tiara they were so professional and I was so confused as to what I wanted for our wedding. Shawon looked at me reassuringly and said "I got you." Shawon took the vision I did not have and turned our wedding into a fairy tale. I mean honestly our wedding is something that you only read about. From our ceremony to the reception all I can say is FLAWLESS. I would recommend Shawon and her team to anyone. Not only is SDS Events the absolute best. I must say, at first I was skeptical about a wedding planner, as I was a bride that thought I could do it all. I can now say after all is said and done, I am happy we hired SDS. Ever since I met Shawon at a Bridal salon, I knew she would be my wedding planner. Shawon gave me the right guidance and suggestions on all aspects of the wedding. Omg!! Where to begin!!! First I would like to give Shawon and the SDS crew a huge thank you!! They helped tremendously in executing our dream wedding. From answering multiple phone calls, text messages and emails..Shawon has become more than our wedding planner...she has become family! Shawon was also the sounding block for me within the overwhelming joy of wedding prep. She was so patient with me and tolerated my many "but Shawooon" moments lol. Shawon was a constant reminder that my wedding would be as beautiful as I envision and she was so right! We knew Shawon was the one when we first met her. My husband actually found her on Instagram, how I don't know because his main concern is football but I was so glad he did. From our initial consultation in 2014 to our wedding day April 30, 2016 Shawon and Tiara did such an amazing job planning our wedding. They were very accommodating especially after we had our son. Planning was quick and fast which allowed me time to order and find things for our wedding. Shawon kept me stress free even when I wanted to break down at times. Let's keep it real it can get stressful if you allow it. Shawons personally is so genuine, caring and sweet and her staff as well. The wedding was flawless. I left everything in her hands and when I tell you she came through. Honey slayed! She even added some of her own special touches which were things I absolutely wanted. Our sweetheart table was amazing along with our guest tables. She incorporated everything I wanted and exceeded my expectations and I'm a little picky. I felt secure leaving my wedding in Shawons hands because she has great taste and your wedding will look and feel like a million bucks. My husband and I were extremely pleased and if he wants to go through it again she will be doing our vow renewals. Yep, I'm already thinking about that already. That's just how good of a job Shawon and her team did for us.

I couldn't gather all of my thoughts prior to vacation, but the hubby and I have had some time to relax, and I hope you're ready for this review.
When I first met Shawon, I just knew she was the one. There was such a genuine connection that's so hard to describe. From the beginning to the end, Shawon and her team were quick to respond, planned meetings, worked around our schedules, made and planned several trips to several vendors (out-of-town, might I add) and made sure that everything went smoothly. I am a worrier by nature, and always hoped and prayed that the day turned out perfectly; but for some reason, weeks leading up to it, I didn't have a care in the world about the day. I knew Shawon and her team would take care of things. The day turned out beautiful-- it was everything we dreamed of and more, including some surprise elements :-). Everything was flawless, and I cannot thank them enough! This review is probably all over the place, but if you are looking for a fun-spirited, down-to-earth team to work with; a team who is going to get the job done and go beyond your expectations, SDS events is the way to go!

We hired SDS events for full wedding planning and couldn't have been happier! We met with Shawon about a year out from the wedding and our initial consultation was great. We felt like we already knew her and that she would be the perfect planner to help our wedding day vision come to life. Through out the entire process, Shawon would email/call/text if she had any ideas. Often she would just call to see how I was doing, which was greatly appreciated. Through SDS, we were able to book the perfect Caterer, Baker, DJ, Officiant, and so much more. Shawon was even the person who picked out my wedding dress! We had already been to 2 dress shops, and by the 3rd shop, she knew exactly what I was looking for and picked out the perfect dress. The day of the wedding was seamless and everything moved so smoothly. Everything, including the ceremony was on time & we didn't have a care in the world. Shawon and her team made sure we were taken care of the entire day. All of my guests are still talking about how it was one of the best and funnest weddings they've been to. And they are still commenting on how great SDS coordinated and executed the entire day. I would definitely recommend SDS events to any future bride who is looking for a caring and professional wedding planner.

If you're looking for a wedding planner, SDS is exactly what you need! Shawon and her team are beyond AMAZING!!! My husband and I met with Shawon for our consultation and knew that she was exactly what we needed to keep my stress levels down throughout the planning process. During the consult, Shawon provided us with very detailed information about the services she offers and did so in a timely fashion. I was very shocked that her consultation lasted exactly an hour as she stated it would when we contacted her.
Throughout the planning process, Shawon was very hands on. She suggested many vendors that were awesome to work with. Some of her vendors even offered discounts because of SDS Events. Shawon or her assistant Tiara, accompanied us to all meetings with vendors. We did very little talking at consultations and allowed Shawon to ask all of the right questions which we truly appreciated. Through the process we not only looked at Shawon as our planner, but as part of our family.
The day of the wedding Shawon and her team were AMAZING!!! Everything started ON TIME and we even got ahead of schedule at points during the reception. We appreciated how we were able to give SDS information at the wedding and they were able to execute. I absolutely loved the lady in waiting provided by SDS. She was with me two hours prior to the ceremony starting and provided anything that I needed. Shawon is known for her flawless and timely weddings and that's exactly what she provided to us on our wedding day! We definitely will be contacting Shawon in the future for planning!

If you're looking for the best, Shawon McClure-Fields and her staff is the answer! She's made our planning process seamless and stress free! Her professionalism and carefree spirit is contagious, but more importantly her results are flawless! I've been watching her for years and knew before my fiancé proposed that when it happened, we had to have a SDS wedding experience!! From scheduling appointments with a variety of amazing vendors, prompt return of emails and phone calls, and her impeccable eye for design and decor....she and her team are "A1" and I'd bet on them every time!

My fiancé and I originally took on the task of trying to plan our wedding ourselves. It didn’t take long for us to realize that we were extremely clueless. I asked around about wedding planners and my sorority sister referred me to SDS events. I quickly got Shawon’s info from her and scheduled an appointment. Luckily for us SDS had a bridal show the weekend before our meeting so we were able to go and gain a lot of information prior to our official meeting. Finally, meeting day arrived and we were greeted with warm spirits and a plethora of information. I can remember leaving and us almost saying at the same time we need to hire her. We didn’t have any vision for our day at all. We only knew what colors we wanted. SDS events took the minimal information that we gave and transformed our wedding day until a fairytale. We fully trusted SDS with every single detail of our day. SDS event’s was always readily available for whatever our needs were at anytime. Our whole process was organized and 100% professional from beginning to end. We couldn’t be happier with our choice to hire SDS events for our wedding day. I would recommend them to anyone. This company truly has a gift and it was a blessing to us for them to play such a huge role in us writing our forever.

The SDS events team did an AMAZING job with my wedding coordination. The team was always available when I needed them for questions, vendor referrals or problem solving. The team was professional and reliable. They started my wedding on time and kept the flow of my events on schedule. My wedding guest are still complimenting their services weeks later. I would highly recommend them.
