As soon as my now-wife accepted my proposal, I knew that we were going to need a wedding planner, and not just any wedding planner, Sarah French Events. Our faith was accurately placed. She was attentive, professional, and took the time to understand our vision for our wedding, making excellent vendor suggestions from her vast connections. There were multiple times we were ready to settle for something and she made us wait, because she knew someone or something better that was still within our budget. When we needed, she interceded on our behalf with vendors, negotiating better rates or making sure they followed through on their contracts. She accompanied my wife when she needed to get a different dress, helping her pick one that took my breath away. She was hands on in vendor meetings, making sure my wife (and I) were heard and that the vendors followed through on our vision, even when it went against their instincts, even if it took multiple meetings to ensure that they understood what was requested. As a day-of coordinator, she had the day of the wedding timed out to the minute, meaning that parts of the evening that normally go long (or so I’ve heard) ran like clockwork, without a hitch. Endlessly creative, she created some of our favorite decor items (like our seating chart) herself. She ensured that every room looked better than we could have imagined when we entered; my wife literally jumped for joy when we entered the dining room of the reception. When we needed to be talked down from the stress of planning, she was there to talk us down. We cannot recommend her highly enough. -

Sarah goes ABOVE and BEYOND. She was constantly reaching out and checking in and was a vital part of our wedding planning. She uses her knowledge and experience to help you think of all the little details and plan and prepare for anything that comes your way. Not only was she an invaluable part of the planning process, she really really shines day of! We had so many people commenting on how incredible Sarah was all weekend. “She is so on top of it”, “So Organized.” “There isn’t a question she can’t answer”, just to name a few. We even had a little emergency day of and she jumped to action to make sure I was doing okay and was kind, understanding and helpful while getting everything/everyone back on track. I honestly believe that our wedding would not have been possible without Sarah, it was the best investment of our wedding HANDS DOWN!! Not only is Sarah an incredibly wedding planner, she is a great human being and we had so so so much fun working with her over the last year!!! -

Sarah and her team are wonderful! Sarah is incredibly detail oriented and on top of things. You will have absolutely nothing to worry about on your special day. She is prepared for anything! Incredibly easy to work with and makes the day what YOU want it to be. Highly recommend! -

Hiring Sarah was easily the best decision I made during wedding planning. My now husband was hesitant that we needed a coordinator but I convinced him and now he agrees that it was an amazing decision! I contacted Sarah pretty late into wedding planning - I already had almost all of my vendors (except transportation) but was really looking for someone to provide advice and guidance in the final steps of planning. Specifically, I really needed the help month and day of. Sarah was friendly, organized and easy to talk to from day one. She asked questions and provided advice on things I never even though to ask or consider. When it came to the day of she was super organized and kept everything and everyone on schedule. Our day was perfect and went exactly as planned. There was a slight snafu with my hair and Sarah made sure it was corrected. I am SO thankful I hired Sarah and would absolutely recommend her! -

I don't say this lightly when I say that Sarah changed our lives. She was an original top choice for us, however due to timing issues, we elected to hire another planner. A year out from the wedding, this planner dropped off the face of the planet to never be heard from again. My husband and I attempted to reach out for several months with nothing but radio silence as a response. With our wedding less than 10 months away, we elected to find a new planner to help us finish the major planning details and to be our day of coordinator.
We reconnected with Sarah and knew she would be a perfect fit right away. Thankfully, she was available at this time and excited to work with us. She came into the situation and managed to get us back on track!
Sarah is incredibly kind, compassionate, conscious, and talented. She is a very effective communicator and she made us feel at ease straight away. She will allow your vision to flourish while keeping you grounded and being completely transparent about what can and can't work. When I saw this woman would move the moon to get you your perfect day, I absolutely mean that.
On top of our previous planner crisis, we also had the pandemic hit. Although almost everything had already been planned at this point, we had to reimagine our entire wedding. Sarah was absolutely crucial into figuring out creative ways for us to celebrate while still maintaining health and safety as a top priority. We went from 200+ to ~40something guests, two venues to one, outdoor/indoor to exclusively outdoor, and a dozen other covid friendly regulations. Sarah ensured our day went off without a hitch and made us feel completely stress free the entire time. It was the absolute perfect day and I am so grateful for Sarah and all of her hard work. Without her, none of it would have been possible! -

My wife and I lived abroad while planning our wedding at the Independence Visitor Center. When we started working with Sarah, the only decision we had made was the venue. Sarah helped us pick all of our vendors, from the DJ to the flower shop, and we could not have been happier. Sweating all the little details while making sure the event flowed perfectly, Sarah was our cool and collected organizer and people-wrangler on the day of the event. We probably weren't the easiest clients she's ever had since we weren't in the country for most of the planning process, but you never would have known that given how well Sarah pulled everything together. We'd recommend Sarah to anyone, no matter where your wedding is, how many people you're inviting, or any other quirky requests you need to have accommodated. This review is long overdue, but THANK YOU SARAH! -

I never thought I'd need a wedding planner - maybe just a coordinator to make sure we remember to cut the cake, or something. Boy, was I WRONG. Now that I'm on the other side of it, I can say with confidence I would not have survived (or had as much fun, at least) my own wedding if I did not hire Sarah. She was a complete gem during our entire planning process, going above and beyond her actual call of duty to make sure we were comfortable, prepared and excited for our big day. She offered tons of suggestions and has so much experience in the industry, she's an invaluable resource when it comes to selecting vendors. After a few meetings, we trusted that she would execute our vision perfectly. She allowed me to keep my stress and anxiety to a minimum, and I really just can't imagine going through this process without her! -

When I thought about getting married, I never thought I would get a wedding planner. However, our venue required at least hiring a day-of coordinator. I am so grateful that there was a requirement for a planner because Sarah made everything so easy. I have a busy/stressful job and all of my coworkers leading up to the wedding were incredibly surprised that I was not stressed, which was all because of Sarah. I had initially done some of the "big" things myself - booked venue, caterer, band, hotel block, dress prior to hiring her though there were times I wish I had done everything with her advice. However there was plenty of other things she helped us with and especially in the last 3 months she really kept it everything together, organized. No detail was missed. She was a great day-of coordinator as well and made perfect game-day decisions. -

My husband and I hired Sarah a few months into our planning process, after we had hired most of our vendors. I work in the event planning industry, and frankly I was not sure that I would need the help of a coordinator. Having gone through the planning process and after experiencing a perfectly executed wedding courtesy of Sarah, I can now say, hiring SarahFrench Events was the best investment we made in our wedding day. Sarah was a delight to work with throughout the entire process. She is very responsive, creative, and meticulously organized. Sarah is also unfailingly patient and kind and was especially helpful when we were trying to make decisions on different elements of our wedding. When we had questions, Sarah often provided us with a few suggestions, never pressuring us one way or the other, but always giving her honest opinion. Even though we were on top of planning our wedding, Sarah was always a step ahead, sending us gentle reminders of things that still needed to be done and talking extensively with our vendors to develop our timeline. The day of the wedding, we felt like we had nothing to do but relax and enjoy the day! We truly felt like we were guests at our own wedding—this is entirely due to Sarah’s organization and her positive attitude. There was nothing that came up that she couldn’t handle with grace and ease. I received numerous compliments specifically about Sarah from my family members and our guests. Even if you have the expertise, do yourself a favor a hire SarahFrench Events so you can actually enjoy your wedding—I know we did, and it was thanks to Sarah! -

Sarah lives by her motto of making planning and the actual wedding day as stress-free as possible for the bride and groom. She was responsive, professional, organized, attentive, and above all, helped us keep our sanity. My husband and I are both doctoral students, and I work part-time, so we were so busybusybusy, but Sarah was on top of everything and I never felt behind. Our actual wedding day was flawless. If there were issues, which I'm sure there were because of Murphy's Law, we never knew about it because Sarah and her team were all over it. Sarah is passionate about what she does, and out of all my vendors, I always sing her praises and recommend her first and foremost to my own friends and family. -

Meagan Sent on 07/30/2016Sarah has a great many strengths as a wedding planner and day-of coordinator, but chief among them is that she does not bring her own vision to your wedding. That doesn't mean she is inexperienced, or that she doesn't have suggestions or input; she's rich in all three. What it means is that her focus is delivering the kind of wedding that you want to have, first and foremost. She will use her faculties to execute your vision as completely as possible. On top of that, she is personable, responsive, friendly and down-to-earth. We would recommend her to anyone, and suggest you hire her immediately. Hiring her was the best money we spent on the wedding, period.
