We just had our dream wedding at Sandals Royal Caribbean. Everything was more than we could've asked for. Having a destination wedding can be a little scary, as there are a lot of unknowns that you can't see or figure out until you actually arrive. However, that also took off a lot of the wedding planning stress because Sandals worries about it all for you. I can truly say the staff and the wedding team at Sandals Royal Caribbean made our wedding weekend a success. They were truly so accommodating and gave us the most wonderful wedding experience. The weather while we were there wasn't the best and the rain almost ruined a few of our planned activities such as the bonfire on the first night and even our wedding reception. But they always made it work. The wedding planning team truly was so amazing! We just had our dream wedding at Sandals Royal Caribbean. Everything was more than we could've asked for. This resort was the perfect place for our honeymoon. It was so relaxing, the service, food, and drinks were wonderful, our room was beautiful, and the amenities were fantastic. We had such a great time with the water activities, hanging out by the pool, participating in activities, playing games, and going on a tour. The Flight of the White Witch was such a fun zip line tour. We loved the pub and afternoon tea because it was very unique. Everyone made sure we were enjoying ourselves and were extremely kind and helpful. We stayed in a Club Level room and it was worth the extra money. You got unlimited access to the mini bar in your room, unlimited breakfasts delivered to your room, and some extra events. I can't wait to go back. This resort was the perfect place for our honeymoon. My husband and I had a destination wedding at Sandals Royal Caribbean Resort & Private Island in Montego Bay, Jamaica. This particular review is for the venue itself and the service we received upon arrival. I will provide a separate review for the Sandals Weddingmoons pre-travel wedding planning services.
Since our wedding party was somewhat larger than the traditional destination wedding (75 guests), our ceremony and reception options were somewhat limited. Pre-travel, we were advised that we were only able to have both the ceremony and reception on the beach, which is what we prepared for.
However, upon arrival, the coordinator showed us a rain location which was an indoor/outdoor garden-style restaurant, and the option of purchasing a tent. We ended up having our reception in a grassy garden area, which was breathtaking with the lanterns and torches. The ceremony was oceanfront with a beautiful alter structure.
The quality of service was excellent! Everyone was so polite, and the food was AMAZING!
The responsiveness was okay once we arrived, as our planner was also responsible for other weddings occurring the same weekend. However, the responsiveness prior to arrival by the pre-travel planner was horrible. Sometimes it would take over a week to get a response, and all of the questions would still go unanswered.
This is a great value! Sandals offers inclusions where the more people you bring, the more perks you get. For example, we got a free 1 hour rehearsal dinner, free cocktail hour, and free 2 hour reception. However, we did have to pay for extra tables and decor at the reception as well as the dance floor and DJ.
Be sure to read the fine print when it comes to inclusions. For example, if your guests aren't staying at least 6 nights and purchase a certain level room category, you won't get any of these things. I had to fight this in order to be able to get our inclusions. They were extremely flexible in getting me what was fair.

We went here for our honeymoon. It was FABULOUS!! We saw several weddings happening while we were there and they looked really neat. We'll def consider doing a vow renewal or something here, we had such a great time. Totally Recommend! It truly was a week in paradise! We went here for our honeymoon. It was FABULOUS!! We stayed at Sandals RC May 1–10, 2015 for our wedding. 1st things 1st, you pay a lot of $$ for a 5 star resort & promise of a stress free pre-planned wedding. 1. The Wedding Planning,Miami, where the wedding planning & documents are being processed, doesn't do a good job of transferring info to the resort. Everything had to be redon upon arrival. 2. Upon arrival we were told that they had expected us the day before & they did not have our room reserved anymore. We were DOWNGRADED from our concierge luxury honeymoon beachfront suite to a small room facing another building. We fought to get the min room we paid for & finally moved to a beachfront room facing the volleyball court. How romantic. We called 4 times for our bags & after 90 minutes, my husband walked down to find our bags in the same pile where we left them & lugged them to oWe stayed at Sandals RC May 1–10, 2015 for our wedding. 1st things 1st, you pay a lot of $$ for a 5 star resort & promise of a stress free pre-planned wedding. 1.
