All Around Amazing!

We hired Premier W.E.D. for our daughter's wedding in July. From the very first meeting to the moment we loaded into the car after the reception was nothing short of stress free and amazing. They are incredibly professional, have amazing design taste and can execute a plan better than anyone in the business. I'm sure there were hiccups along the way but we didn't know about them because they handled them. The entire process was joyful and easy. They will definitely be helping with my younger daughter's wedding when it's her time. I cannot stress enough how highly I recommend them. Professional on every level and amazing to work with!

We could not be more appreciate to Dawn, Katy, and the whole Premier W.E.D. team. They were everything we wanted and expected in a planner and then a whole bunch more!

Communication and response time was incredible, especially given the amount of time working together (nearly 2 years due to COVID reschedule).

They took all our hopes, needs, and financial parameters into account and help us easily find the best solution at every turn, and ended up helping create the wedding of our dreams.

Having them on the day of was a godsend, if anything went wrong we surely didn't know about it and would have never noticed. Our ability to breathe, relax, and actually enjoy the entire day without a worry in the world was priceless.

Overall, we just loved this whole team and are so thankful we found them. If you are planning a wedding in the Nashville area, reach out to Dawn!

Dreams of the Perfect Day = The Perfect Day

I have known Dawn (Owner of Premier Wed) since we were kids. After Dawn opened Premier Wed it was always my dream to have her and her company plan and direct our daughter's wedding. In 2017, our daughter became engaged and I reached out to Dawn to hire her and her expert team. We live in the Dallas area. Premier Wed has two locations, Nashville, TN and Chicago, IL. Dawn assured us that logistics would not be a problem. We were excited to learn that her team would be available and would love to help us plan for this incredibly important and special day for our daughter. With almost 2 years of time to plan, vendors were contacted by the team at Premier Wed, appointments were set for us, and we went to the meetings together and signed contracts. Yes, Dawn flew out here several times to be here in person with us. AMAZING! Everything was set early, and when it came down to the last few weeks before the wedding, we had a dedicated staff on hand if we had any questions or concerns. The one thing that stood out the most to us is the level of planning, checking, double checking, and coordination of the vendors, is beyond anything we could have ever expected. There were lists with detailed timelines, not just for vendors, but for family as well. The level of professional care the day of the wedding, not to just the wedding party, but with the vendors, AND our guests, made the occasion something our friends and family are still talking about 9 months later. My husband and I are so proud that everyone had such a great time that the venue was still packed at the end of the night, and our daughter still says today that her wedding was PERFECT. At the end of the night, as mom and dad, were able to walk straight to our car and head home without having to worry about anything. Words cannot describe the true level of how thankful we are that we chose Dawn and her team. If you are debating about hiring a wedding planner, don't look any further, Premier Wed is the ONLY way to go. The service is definitely in the smallest of details, which they are PROS at!

As a side note, we attended two weddings right after our daughter's. While they were nicely done, there was a lot of chaos on the timelines, the brides were frustrated as people kept leaving early, and neither bride said they had the perfect day. Premier Wed can help as little or as much as you want, everything they do is custom tailored to fit what you need. You really won't find anyone better to turn your wedding dreams into a reality.

My day was perfect because of PremierWed and their entire team!

My wedding was small, but the details were not. In the beginning stages of planning I thought I could plan and execute everything myself....this couldn't have been further from the truth! My anxiety got so out of control that I HAD to find a planner. When I met with Dawn I immediately knew I found the perfect fit for me, and what I expected for my event.

Dawn has the ability to take your vision and truly make it reality. From makeup to menus, florals to linens, and everything in between...she nailed it! My guests had the time of their lives, and I didn't worry about a single thing except enjoying my day. I've never handed over complete control of anything in my life, but I would do it again in a heartbeat if PremierWed was leading the charge!

Thank you Dawn, all of your staff, and perfect vendors for my perfect day! I will never forget how special you made the most special day of my life thus far!

Our dreams came true

We came to Dawn and her team with a vision & a dream. They worked with us to plan & execute the most perfect day. Helped us try and stay within our budget and create a day around our family & friends who were traveling from near and mostly afar!! We were faced with some last minute weather issues that caused some unexpected stress and changes and upgrades but they remained cool & calm while trying to keep us cool and confident it would all work out!! And it did indeed. The tight timeline we were given kept us on a great schedule where nothing was a surprise or unexpected. We were able to relax a bit on the wedding morning knowing every minute was accounted for and planned. There was never a moment of panic or doubt.
We were given great direction at the wedding venue for pictures prior to the wedding and on to the ceremony and beyond. Our wedding director even popped a sewing kit out of her pocket when my daughter’s bustle on her dress was torn when someone stepped on it. At the end of the night when we arrived home and emptied our car, the team had neatly placed flowers, wedding cake, napkins, vows, coats etc in our car. Nothing left to surprise or want or need.
We have kept in touch a few weeks after still asking questions about where to get our gowns cleaned etc.
A wedding dream day come true. So very happy!!! Couldn’t have pulled it off without this amazing and experienced team!!!

Dawn and Premiere W.E.D are fantastic!

Dawn and her whole organization are top notch! She took an idea I had for a 50th birthday party and blew it up in an amazing way. She is so good about the small details and making everything better. She is extremely organized and the event was put on without a hitch! I highly recommend her and she will definitely be coordinating both of my girls' weddings when the time comes!

Our wedding was truly a magical experience with minimal stress due to Premier W.E.D. Dawn and her team kept us organized, identified fabulous vendors (especially photographer, paper vendor, makeup and hair and florist), ensured we met deadlines, and created a venue and experience that the bride and groom said exceeded their expectations! Dawn and her team felt like family. I was out of state, as the MOB, and I could not have done this without Premier W.E.D. Dawn listens to her clients, achieves a reasonable budget by working with us to establish our vision while maintaining costs. I am a professional and Dawn is certainly one, which was essential to this process. Her experience spoke for itself during the process. I wish I had hired Premier W.E.D. before we chose the venue, but she, her team and vendors created the wedding we had hoped for.

Hands down the best thing I ever did for my wedding was to call Dawn. I can't say enough good things, the test of a great wedding planner is to thrive in the chaos, and Dawn did just that. Our wedding was on our property with a tent. The majority of the guest were from out of town. So murphy's law it down poured. Dawns quick jump to action in reorganizing the complete wedding was nothing short of a miracle. I was actually calm the whole time, and our guest are still talking about how amazing our wedding was. Premier WED offers services beyond weddings. They helped coordinate my baby shower, and I am overwhelmed with joy of the outcome. It was decorated just the way I imagined. Thank you to Dawn, Ellen, and your staff for being organized, professional, and very hospitable to me and my guests. Everyone was very complimentary of the food and fine detail. I actually had to reschedule my initial shower due to a death in the family. Dawn helped me reschedule with no worries. Even though we had the shower just 4 days after she was born, it was a blessing to have my baby at the shower. (The event was more of a home-coming celebration- which I love this idea) With PremierWed's help this is really the most intimate way to welcome home your newborn. I didn't have to worry with any of the details from set up to break down. They communicated every detail through the planning phase and the results were on point. 5 STARS

Working with Dawn & the team at Premier W.E.D. was wonderful! I had a short engagement so only had 4 months to plan a rather large wedding. The wedding took place in Florida where my fiancé & I live & even though Premier W.E.D. is located in Nashville they may as well have been located next door for the quality of work & responsiveness they provided. They took the time to get to know us & our vision for our special day. I was impressed by the organization of the whole team & how thorough the planning process was. I wanted to be a hands-off bride as much as possible & truly felt confident that Dawn & team had everything handled & within budget. I sincerely enjoyed my engagement period & was able to relax & focus on celebrating the special season without stressing over wedding details.

The Premier W.E.D. team also directed my wedding weekend. The rehearsal ran smoothly & quickly allowing us to get quickly to celebrating at the rehearsal dinner. The wedding day was like a dream. I was very relaxed, enjoying the entire day. The Premier W.E.D. Team took care of every single detail. They managed the scheduling of venders, the set up, responded to requests, and kept us on track. The wedding day schedule was very detailed & the day flowed like a well oiled machine. My fiancé & I were able to focus on the moment at hand & never had to worry about what was next. The wedding & reception were beautiful! Being a hands-off bride allowed me to be pleasantly surprised when I saw everything come together. It was perfect! Many family & guests have repeatedly told us that our Wedding was one of the nicest and most fun they have attended.

I give Dawn and the Premier W.E.D. team my highest recommendation. Always professional and courteous, their services were worth every dollar spent. I have absolutely no regrets hiring them to plan and direct our wedding! It was a beautiful, fun and relaxing day that I will always remember with fondness.

I cannot say enough about how wonderful it was working with Premier W.E.D. They knew who I should use for the cake, flowers, food, drink, bank, set up, lighting and shuttle services. I never once had to worry about anything because they knew the answers before I could ask the questions. My daughter's wedding far exceeded my expectations. I have received so many emails from our friends that it was the prettiest wedding they had been to. I told Dawn that I would shout her praises from the rooftops! We had a fantastic event and could NOT have done it without Premier WED, Owner Dawn and Event Director, Bridget. This was a destination wedding (we are from Wisconsin) and they took care of every detail. Through it all, they stayed in touch about the millions of choices, made everything perfect and also stayed within budget. My son and his new wife could not have been happier with the incredibly personalized celebration in a beautiful venue. From the moment we met Dawn until we said bye on my daughter's wedding night --- I knew everything was taken care of and never worried a minute. Not only was Dawn incredible to work with, her staff is just as professional and is taking care of details before they even arise. Dawn and Tyler were a godsend to my family. Christina came on board later, closer to the wedding but she was a joy to work with as well. We had a "destination" wedding in Nashville/Franklin, TN for most of the family/friends invited; although this was home to our daughter for 5 years prior to her relocating to Florida. Premier W.E.D. made us feel at all times like we were being looked after and every detail was perfect in the planning and implementation of our daughter's wedding. Dawn and Tyler really went the extra mile and patiently helped us navigate through the myriad of little (and big) things that we never even would have thought about until it was too late. We highly recommend Premier W.E.D. and know that in trusting your event planning to these super talented ladies you will not only be guaranteed to have a great event but will look back on the process as fun and easy, with a wedding planning team that is a joy to know and work with.

We used Premier W.E.D. to help us plan our Nashville wedding, and would recommend them to anyone else starting the wedding planning process! We both live outside of Tennessee, and it was great having someone there to run everything and help us find great local vendors! Everything was taken care of on the day of the wedding, and we were able to just have a blast and enjoy each other and all of our guests! Absolutely the best! Dawn and her team were unbelievable and took care of everything down to the smallest detail. I was focusing on moving and she took care of my wedding. My guests kept commenting on the attention to detail and thought that I was super woman (they couldn't imagine how I moved into a new home AND planned such an amazing event in my backyard). Brittany and Tyler were so incredibly helpful and truly took the lead in making sure all of the loose ends were tied prior to the wedding. Brittany did an amazing job making sure everyone was where they needed to be and that everyone was on the same page about all of the little details of the wedding. Honestly, I do not know that we would have been able to do it without her. We couldn't have asked for anyone better to help make our wedding day such a success! I cannot say enough good things about Dawn and her girls at Premier W.E.D. They made my wedding day the absolute best day of my life. Leading up to the day, they introduced me to AMAZING vendors, they helped keep me on schedule, and they gave valuable suggestions. This was Dawn's first time doing an Indian wedding, and I was grateful for all the enthusiasm she had! She spent a lot of time doing research and consulting other Indian wedding planners about what the traditions were. I think she probably knows more about Indian wedding traditions than I do by now! I put up a few pictures on Pinterest after my first meeting with Dawn to show her things I liked and give her an idea of my style and WOW, she understood me so quickly! She advocated for me at vendor meetings, she guided me to options that fit my design theme AND my budget, and she came up with great ideas that really made our day special. She worked so well with our family. On the day of the event, she and her team handled everything so well, I know it took a lot of stress of my parents and myself. I don't think our wedding would have been such a lovely event without Dawn and her team!! Premier W.E.D. has won many awards over the years, and I know why. These girls are just amazing at what they do. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a wedding planner!

Premier WED had short notice to plan our Doctor Who themed wedding. The details and time that went into every place setting, alter piece, down to the flowers, and guest book were heartwarming, and exactly what we wanted. Dawn and her team listened to our request for intimacy and romance and ran with it, blowing our minds in the process. She and her team even came to our rescue when our officiant was unable to make it--in less than 24 hours she got us an officiant, who happened to be charming and witty!

The ceremony was beautiful and reception/dinner created the intimacy desired. It was perfect.

Dawn was very professional and knows her business. One of the things I valued was her prompt responses to all my questions and emails. She took care of everything and aleviated the stresses from planning a wedding from us. She is also a good listener and knows what you want as a client. This is very important attribute in a planner. I am glad I found her :) I live in another state and planning a wedding from far away can be difficult, especially if you do not know the area....but Dawn took care of everything! We were very happy with her services and how everything came out :) The wedding had that warm intimate feeling we were looking for. I definitely recommend her!!

We couldn't do it alone. Everything was beyond my expectations, starting with the invitations, flowers, decorations, rental, catering, drinks, DJ, wedding cake, cocktail hour, scheduling step by step and timing, and everything else. Premier W.E.D. took a lot of pressure away from our shoulders, and the service was provided with a high degree of professionalism. Was truly able to enjoy the entire day and night of the wedding because I knew every detail had already been taken care of by Dawn. My husband and I wanted our wedding day to be a reflection of who we are as a household and a team. We came up with this crazy scheme to get married in our yard in late March and then party down at the Nashville Zoo. We put a lot of energy into this dream, and it came to fruition! It was perfect, and it couldn't have happened without Dawn and her staff at Premier W.E.D.
We engaged Premier W.E.D.'s services for both the planning and the directing of our wedding. We had the big picture visualized, but Dawn was instrumental in helping with all of the floral arrangements, introduced us to a fantastic local stationer, and brought in ideas that made the event classy, timeless, but still fun and down-to-earth enough to be "us."
The day of our wedding, it rained and rained. Our wedding was scheduled to begin at 5. No one panicked, but I was discreetly asked at about 2:15 by Dawn and Britney what we would do if the rain was still happening at 5. We cooled our heels, and the rain stopped shortly after 3. I don't know who wiped down the chairs. I don't know whose towels I still have. All I know is this: from that moment forward, I was the bride I had never dreamed I would be. I danced, twirled, and basked in the moment; I rode a carousel! Did anything go wrong? I have no idea, because Premier W.E.D. was there to make sure I had nothing to worry about, and I was able to ENJOY MY WEDDING DAY. I have no doubt that if we had been forced to resort to Plan B, everything would have come off perfectly, as well.
Whatever kind of bride you are, Dawn's got your back. Working with Premier W.E.D. was one of the best decisions we made in planning our wedding.

I found working with Dawn from Premier W.E.D. Most pleasant and helpful. She has a great talent for understanding the clients taste and style and consequently helps them make choices for the event that reflect their personality. Our reception site was beautiful and just looked like me! She was also invalueable in chosing our vendors. Once she knew our budget and style, she could make recommendations. Dawn Schenkel is a master event planner who thought of everything! She has the most wonderful vendor relationships, from lighting and furniture rental to cake and music specialists. The details were just amazing! And this made it very easy on me. Our evening could not have been more perfect. We were able to relax and enjoy the birthday without any stress or worries.
Her team at Premier W.E.D. are professionals and she pays for herself ten times over in vendor discounts and in the lack of stress. I regularly entertain and never thought I’d need a planner, now I can’t think of having a party without Dawn! I seriously could not have done this without her.

So very helpful the day of the wedding. Made sure everyone was were they needed to be. Helped with all those last minute details that you forgot to plan for . They steamed wrinkled tablecloths and set up the perfect candy bar. Co-ordinated with the DJ for all the announcements and special events. I was able to enjoy the wedding and reception and not worry about the timeline of making things happen. They packed up everything that needed to go home with me including cake, gifts, flowers etc. Truly a godsend!!!

We cannot praise Dawn Schenkel & her excellent staff at PremierWed enough for their outstanding assistance in planning our "big day".
We had our own dreams & wishes for our wedding day somewhat envisioned, months before we hired PremierWed. We were relieved to discover during our initial conversations & subsequent meetings with Dawn & her staff, that although we chose to introduce a planner to the wedding process, the intimacy we wanted so much for our wedding would not be lost.
PremierWed affirmed our personal visions. Dawn and her staff magically made our "dreams" come true on our wedding day with style and class.
This company also added highlights to what we had our hearts set on, and continued to respect any changes we desired to make... even as the Wedding March was about to be played!
Our wedding ceremony & reception were conducted at our family home. PremierWed also enabled us to not only honor our family traditions, but to also incorporate memories that every couple can call their own.
PremierWed was extremely organized, allowing us to keep on schedule and on budget. The entire staff was consistently pleasant to work with, possessing a "can do" attitude even about our most "it can't be done/never has been done before" requests!
Dawn & her efficient staff handled the last minute "unpredictables" that occur at any wedding, and especially at ours, with ease & a "don't worry, it's handled" attitude. We were able to turn everything over to PremierWed with confidence and our wedding day was everything we dreamed of and more.

Dawn and her staff at Premier W.E.D. made sure every single i was dotted and t was crossed! Not one detail was overlooked. Watching her and her crew run around the day of the wedding, putting everything into place, while I had fun getting ready with my mom and my girlfriends, made every single penny worth it. I can honestly say I had no stress the day of the wedding (in fact, my groom was two hours late, and Dawn took care of it without me even knowing).
Of course, any good wedding planner will take care of those kinds of details.... what sets Dawn apart is her amazing style. All of the details she added, from our names on the wedding aisle to our "P Diddy" couch... were the details that the guests noticed. I'm the kind of person who would have preferred to elope rather than make a million decisions about my wedding. Getting Dawn and her company involved was the best decision I ever made! We've been married for seven years now, and people are STILL talking about what a unique and comfortable wedding we had. We were married in a church in Gulf Breeze, Florida (my hometown) with the reception at a separate campus of the church. The rehearsal dinner was at a restaurant overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. Using my simple theme of daisies and my favorite color (blue), Dawn crafted an elegant, romantic dinner for my wedding party. The day of the wedding there was a bank robbery at the bank in the small town where the church was located. Since it is a peninsula/island, there is only one main road through the town across the island. The police had to block this road for two hours, but it created a four-hour traffic snarl. I was unable to get across the bridge for my hair and make-up appointments. So, Dawn and I worked some magic and I looked fantastic (If I do say so myself)!

We subsequently used Dawn to plan my husband's 40th birthday party on location in Pensacola, Florida. My husband is a huge fan of funky music. So, we decided on a more sophisticated theme for his party. It was meant to be a Vegas Nightclub. Dawn helped me design invitations which were amazing and well within our budget. The decorations included can lights, indoor tents and couches (for VIP seating), and amazing food. My husband is also a candy fanatic, so it was a dessert buffet. We rented the local garden center (which I got a great deal on since I'm in the garden club) for the party. It is a horrible, old building. But, it was unrecognizable when Dawn decorated for the party. People who have been in the building many times couldn't believe the transformation. The Garden Club ladies put pictures of the event on their website and in the Garden Club office. People are still talking about how cool that party was.

Dawn and her team are absolutely fabulous! We got married last year at Vine Street Christian Church with a reception at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center. We had a lot of vendors and a lot of guests. We hired Premier W.E.D for their directing services and they knocked it out of the park. They kept the day moving on time (which is amazing for an Indian wedding) and all of the touches my husband and I planned for were executed. Really great job!

The party was incredible and the attention to detail and planning was excellent. From the food to the decorations it all worked out great. People at the party wanted to know who organized it so that they could use the same service. I highly recommend it!!!

Dawn and team did a fabulous job in making sure that my vision was carried out.....and in the moments in which my vision was blurred she was patient and helped troubleshoot until we figured out every little detail. I couldn't have pulled everything together so flawlessly without her!

Our Story - by MOB

A friend recommended Premier W.E.D. when our daughter became engaged. We have large families, high hopes, super busy work schedules and a limited budget. Paying for a wedding planner?? It was an invaluable suggestion! We could not have imagined what we did not know. There are so many legal, financial, and logistical options and pitfalls. It proved invaluable to have their professional help.

Premier W.E.D. was there for us every step of the way. They helped us to define the look and feel of an event which felt uniquely ours, managed to stay within our budget, had vendor connections, and kept us on task with the many, many decisions. They were flexible with changes of heart and handled the endless arrangements. It was truly a team effort between Premier W.E.D, the bride and groom, and both sets of parents. The best part is, that amid the emotional excitement, they brought a sense of calm and peaceful progress to the hard job of planning a big wedding. No procrastinating, no over spending, no drama! With three months to go, we only needed the the final touches. It was all set.

Then came the pandemic. Premier W.E.D. stepped in and helped to reschedule, multiple times! Then they helped us cancel. In the end, the happy couple opted for a simple and lovely backyard ceremony.

Everyone has a pandemic story. Ours includes a story about a happy couple, grateful families and he best wedding planner ever for a gala affair that never happened.

Dawn and her team at Premier WED are wonderful to work with. I highly recommend you book them to plan or direct your upcoming wedding - or all of the above! Dawn consulted with me and directed my wedding. She was there with me in the beginning vision stages all the way through to the end. She was the perfect sounding board when I was second-guessing my decisions, and she offered great ideas based on years of experience planning events. If you use Premier WED, you'll be so happy you did.

Working with Premier W.E.D. and Dawn was truly a great experience. It was obvious from the beginning she was completely on top of it. I was able to relax on my wedding day because I knew every little detail would be taken care of. Dawn was always an advocate for me and it was so helpful to have someone else's opinion.

Dawn was wonderful to work with, she will listen to your desires and make them a reality. We have gotten so many compliments on our wedding day. We are so thankful to have Dawn help coordinate one of the most important days of our lives.

Getting the help of Dawn and her team at Premier WED was the best decission I made while planning my wedding. It made the planning fun and on the wedding day, I could focus on enjoying the day that we had worked so hard to make a reality. I told my husband after the wedding that I was sad that I had no reason to work with Dawn anymore, because our relationship really felt like a friendship.

one of the items for future lessons learned
1.check the food carrier that goes with the bride and groom, our carrier had not food in it the caterer forgot and if we had checked we could have told the caterer to fill it.
2. in our goodies we had napkins specifically for the bridal table and they were not opened or used
3. would like all vendors to check in with planner before leaving so we know they left. the bartender left and we did not know and their station was a mess.

We used Premier W.E.D. for "coordination services" only. I would recommend going ahead and paying for the full planning package instead. I felt like we spent so much time and effort going over a timeline with the coordinator that was not adhered to by vendors or by the band (for cake cutting, toasts, etc) and the things I would have appreciated help with seemed not to fall under "coordination". It was difficult for my bridesmaids (who did way to much work on the day of the wedding) to track down the coordinator. We had some lights go out prior to the reception starting and she did not call the vendor who could have come out to fix it promptly. Instead, it stayed dark in that part of the path/ bar area without any problem solving. I was hoping that the money we spent on coordination would help make the day go more smoothly and take stress off my family and me but it didn't. My wedding and reception still turned out beautifully but I was not that impressed with this company.

Unreliable and Unprofessional

I've struggled for a long time with whether I should write this review, but Wedding Wire reviews are the reason I felt comfortable hiring Premier WED, so I ultimately decided I had to. On the whole, I did not find wedding planning to be stressful or overwhelming. Sadly, the only part I did find to be stressful was my interactions with my wedding planning team and my growing lack of trust in their commitment to my wedding. I purchased a partial wedding planning package from Premier WED because I wanted more involvement in the wedding, and the only two things I really needed help with were executing my desired design look and day-of coordination. I can't say what my experience would have been had I purchased the full wedding planning package, but it was my understanding when I hired the company that I as hiring Dawn, the wedding planner and the woman I met with before hiring them. This was not the case.

The majority of my interactions with the company were with unpaid interns, who I was not even aware would be handling my wedding when I signed the contract and hired Premier WED. The times I did speak with Dawn, it was clear she had not reviewed my file before our calls, and I spent much of my time (which I paid for hourly) reminding her about things we had previously discussed on multiple occasions and of which she also had written record. Throughout the wedding planning process I asked her several times to check my rentals agreement, as I continued to find that items were missing (including the bride and groom sweetheart table), but each team she assured me it was correct until I again later realized that something essential was missing. The concern and frustration mounted in the final weeks leading up to the wedding, as I was asked to spend hours going back through emails I had sent her confirming each item I had shipped to her office for the day of the wedding, as she apparently had not been keeping record, and shortly before the wedding she sent a final invoice, which was over by $1500. After my (now) husband and I spent several hours during the workday trying to figure out why it was so high and where the error was, we asked her about it, and she simply confirmed we were right without any recognition of error or apology. Ordinarily I would have been extremely upset when I found out at my final wedding planning meeting that Dawn was not going to be my day-of coordinator (as promised at our initial meeting before I signed the contract to hire her), but that she was instead going to be coordinating another wedding she had not yet booked at the time I hired her. Yet, because my confidence had dwindled in her attention to detail and commitment to my wedding, I did not complain, and I thought it might actually be a blessing in disguise. I was more wrong than I can put into words, and I will forever regret not making her stick to her word.

There were many small mistakes, misses, and mis-steps by the coordinator and her intern the day of my wedding, none of which I care about. The only mistake I care about, and the reason I'm writing this review, was anything but small. When Dawn, Brittany (the coordinator), and I went through my fist-row seating chat for the wedding, I told them their chart was confusing and it was critical that my mom sit on the aisle. My parents are divorced, so I had a specific location where I wanted my dad and my dad's semi-recent girlfriend to sit. Dawn ASSURED me that it was standard protocol for the mom to sit on the aisle, and they would never consider seating her anywhere else. I went over this seating arrangement with Dawn and Brittany two more times before the wedding because I was so afraid they would mess it up, as my trust was lost and Dawn's paperwork seemed to be in disarray. Yet, when my wedding ceremony finally arrived, Brittany (the day-of coordinator who was assigned to me last minute and as it turns out, has a full-time job outside of the wedding industry and only occasionally coordinates weddings for Dawn) did not sit my mom in the aisle seat. She put my dad in the aisle seat, followed by his girlfriend. She stuck my mom so far down the front row that she could not see me walk down the aisle. It's incredulous-- my mom could not see my walk down the aisle at my wedding. And she saw nothing but the back of my head during the entire ceremony. Who did Brittany ensure was able to see me very clearly throughout the ceremony? My dad's girlfriend. It goes without saying that this is one of the most heartbreaking things that could have happened at my wedding, not only for me, but for my mom.

The part that I still can't wrap my head around is that the heartbreak was created by my wedding planner, the person who should have protected my wedding day and made sure that everything went off without a hitch. She failed me on my wedding day, and I couldn't forgive myself if I didn't write this review and she failed you on your wedding day too. It’s true that premier WED will probably never make this same mistake again, but if you don’t want your wedding planner to be the most stressful part of your wedding planning experience, that’s something to consider as well.
