Working with Phil was so much fun! We did both engagement photos as well as our wedding day with Phil and the entire experience was a blast. Phil brings so much energy, has an amazing vision and takes great photos. Our guests couldn't stop raving about how great of a photographer Phil was.Working with Phil was so much fun! He was absolutely amazing. He was like a long lost family friend that helped coordinate the entire day. He took amazing photos, took us to an unknown spot, took the guys to get pre photos done, and showed us around a couple nights before. Loved him!He was absolutely amazing. My husband and I decided on a destination wedding in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Thankfully, I found out about a "Destination Wedding Bride" Facebook page that was very helpful, with lots of information from brides that have had a destination wedding.
Upon looking on the Facebook page, I was searching photographers. I knew my husband and I had a photo package included in our wedding package on resort, but was very skeptical about the resort photographer.
That's when I found Photophil! BEST photographer, hands down! I sent Phil a message and he replied right away, and we were chatting, emailing back and forth. I felt very comfortable talking to Phil, he was informative and by looking at his photos on his Facebook I knew we had to book a Trash the Dress shoot with him. Phil and I decided three days after our wedding would be a good time. Phil picked my husband and I up at our resort, and drove us all around Punta Cana and took the most beautiful photos! We also went to a local beach not far out of town, and went right into the ocean. It was the best day, aside from the day my husband and I got married, of course.
Phil is one of the most outgoing, friendly, knowledgeable, and talented photographers ever!
FUTURE BRIDES: As much as you may think that your husband to be maybe wouldn't be a big fan of trying something like this, do it anyways! I thought my husband didn't want to go, and was worrying about it the morning of. He was all for it! My husband had so much fun. I'm so glad we went, I would regret not having these photos for the rest of my life.

We got married at the Majestic Colonial Resort in Punta Cana, DR in Jan 2017. When we started planning our wedding, we spent a number of weeks researching photographers and in the end decided to go with Photophil based on the positive reviews and his portfolio which showcased his creativity. Phil was professional, easy going, very personable. He captured our wedding day perfectly (including moments we don't even remember lol). We got 800+ wedding pictures and 400+ rock/trash the dress session (absolute must do!). The pictures were beautiful...we had a tough time deciding on which ones to print. I had a wonderful experience at Majestic Colonial for my wedding and it def helped because I had such an awesome photographer Photophil Steingard. He has so much energy (more than me). Not only is he a great photographer, he also helped to guide me on how the day should unfold. This is my first (hopefully only lol) wedding so I had no clue what to do. He provided me with a timeline on how the day should go. He also knows where to take you to get the most amazing pictures! I got my pictures back last week and people have been telling me that their the best wedding pictures they've ever seen. I also had the Brazilian style carnival & firedancers. They gave that additional wow factor to the reception. It was def worth the money. We were lucky enough to hear about Phil, he's on the Nottawasaga Inn list, and were extremely happy when he agreed to photograph our daughter’s wedding this past May weekend, 2016. I had a long telephone conversation with Phil about the event and he is a man of vision. The event went off without a problem, he kept within our daughter’s time line for photographs and he is beyond professional - he becomes your best friend and wedding planner. This is a man with one goal - to make sure you have a great time! His pictures (we added a slide show at the end of the evening) are so beautiful. There are a thousand words associated with every photograph we saw. Every guest commented on Phil, and none were negative. Phil and his assistant were beyond perfect. We also had the add-on of the Photo Booth, which the guests thought were fantastic and none had ever seen it before, which was nice and definitely a lot of fun. Phil has a wonderful outgoing personality, he danced, he talked, he laughed and most importantly he made people comfortable. We want to thank you Phil for helping make our daughter’s wedding the wonderful, fun event it was. You were great from the beginning - what a personality! and energy!! Can hardly wait to see the rest of the pictures - know they will be amazing. Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts. I had the pictures of my dreams done by phil he was one amazing man.I highly recommend him to everyone.very very nice man on time for pick up.very patient.And the work he did was out of this world :) we had so much fun getting pictures done with the locals. Phil was everything you'd want in a wedding photographer. Meet him for 5 seconds and you're already drawn in by his energy and passion for what he does, and his sincere focus on making his clients the happiest they can be on their day.
As the groom, I had no idea what to expect from a photographer meeting all my groomsmen and family, and it shows that he had an incredible impact by how many of them immediately added him to social media when they got home. No one who met him would hire anyone else for an event they want remembered perfectly through photo.
He meshed perfectly with the videographer we hired for the wedding... The photos and video complemented each other to a t for the entire day and night.
You'll never find a photographer with more enthusiasm, attention to detail, sense of humour to break the ice, and precise direction to get the EXACT photos you never knew were even possible.

Phil is more then just a photographer. He becomes your friend! He was there for us since the day we booked him. He expressed to us that he would pretty much be our 2nd wedding Coordinator for our destination wedding...and he followed through. He relieved so much of my stress before the wedding. He had no problem answering my questions anytime of day. And sometime just not about the photography but about the resort and wedding itself. He takes a lot of pride and enjoyment in his job and couldn't have asked for a better photographer . So make sure, if he is available, you boom Phil (happy, happy). Photo Phil was amazing!!! He saved our destination wedding as our original photographer (husbands family friend) backed out. Not only is Phil the photographer he also helped coordinating the wedding. He helped with the days timeline, keeping things moving and directing people where they needed to be.
Photo Phil was also awesome with my husband as he hates, hates, hates pictures and was dead set against hiring another photorapher. Phil worked hard to keep my husband happy, he was fast and fun. He even brought my husband a bottle of Captain Morgan, which you cant get in the DR and by the end of the night they were best friends. My husband even said mid-way through the day, "that guy was worth every dime"! Our guest also noticed what a great photographer Phil was, they were all commenting how cool and fun he was. Phil was also the party planner when it came time for the dance. He was able to get all our guests on the dance floor and even brought props that made some pretty great party pics.
Phil also goes above and beyond after the wedding is over, he sent us a few sneak peep pictures that I requested for our Christmas cards and kept us in the loop as when we would get our photos back. We got our wedding pictures back last week and we are so in love! There are so many pictures and they are all SO GREAT! Phil cares about the quality and detail and it shows.

I did work hard on getting Ryan to like me and that bottle of Rum sure helped.....lol Yes by the end of the evening we were best friends. We can't even express how happy we were to have Phil as our photographer. He was extremely helpful with everything. Once we had our first meeting with Phil we were 100% comfortable, and knew everything would run smoothly. He made us feel like everything will work out. The photos that Phil took are absolutely stunning!! He was very flexible with us, and not only was he just taking pictures he was part of the party as well. We decided we did not want to do trash the dress in Dominican anymore so he provided other solutions which was very nice of him. All in all we are very pleased with Phils work and would recommend him to anyone!

His photography skills are out of this world. He was very flexible with any photos we wanted to have done and made sure everything was on time and ran smoothly. Phil Steingard Studios, "Photo Phil" would be my only recommendation to any couple getting married, looking for a photographer.
At first, the cost may come as a shock, BUT don't let that turn you away - as my husband fully agreed, Steingard was WORTH THE MONEY SPENT!! (My husband was not too pleased to be spending as much as we did at first, until the day of where he realized how amazing and fun of a photographer both Phil and the other photographer were) By the end of the night, he came to me and clearly stated that he was happy, for once, that I didn't listen to him when it came to the costs about the photographer.
I of course already knew that Photo Phil was the best choice their was, when it came to choosing our photographer.
I knew that he would be able to capture ALL the magic in our day, and then some - which of course, he did. I still have people coming to me saying how fun and amazing our photographer was. Guests loved him because he got right in there with them and had a good time, while capturing those touching, funny moments, where some photographers may have missed.
I also have numerous people, even friends and family who could not attend, commenting on our photos (and we don't even have our whole wedding package yet) Everyone is amazed in awe, at how Steingard Studios captured our special day!

My now husband and I recently had the pleasure of working with photophil and damen for our wedding on September 6/2015. I met phil back about 2 1/2 years ago when he was the photographer for my best friend in the Dominican. I was a bridesmaid at photophil was amazing!!!! I knew when I got married I had to have him!!! So when that time came I contacted phil. We got married in Huntsville, Ontario at the Deerhurst resort. From the very beginning phil was professional yet fun. We met with him a few times throughout the year and I had no concerns for the day of as he was very organized and I knew he was going able to keep the flow of the day going!!! He is not only an amazing photographer, he is so very personable. He also brought along damen for our second photographer - whom was also great. Together they made an amazing team!!!! Damen took the boys out for photos of them shooting clays (letting of some steam before he said I do) and he even helped them all tie their ties. Everyone at the wedding was so extremely pleased and had nothing but good things to say about phil and damen. They had props that were given out on the dance floor which made for a great party (way better than taking people away from the dance floor for photo booth) Phil just brought the photo booth to the dance floor - such an awesome idea!! and the DJ loved it too!!! I just had the pleasure of getting my photos back yesterday and I can say that my expectations were met and exceded!! We are so happy with the product that phil and damen produced and would recommend them to anyone - Destination wedding or not... phil knows how to kill it every time!!!!! Phil was great he gets an "A" in customer service, outstanding quality and attention to detail. He made sure our wedding party felt totally comfortable and involved and engaged in the process. My wife and I totally loved him as he was super fun yet knowledgable and skilled. Being a photographer is more than snapping pictures, it is an art. Phil is truly a amazing person & photographer. He came extremely recommended from past brides and we were so happy to be able to work with him. His pictures are flawless and he captures your special day like no other. My husband and guest all loved him immediately and he became a part of the family instantaneously. He captured the whole wedding day over 12 hours from start to finish and we did a trash the dress session as well. You will not be dissapointed by any means. Phil is BEYOND AMAZING!!!! He is not just an incredible photographer, he also helps plan the schedule of your day and keeps everything moving along smoothly. His friendly attitude kept everyone relaxed and comfortable in front of and behind the camera. Phil was the photographer for both of my sister's weddings so when we planned our own, Phil was the only requirement both my husband and I would not budge on. We actually changed our wedding day just to get him. You will be over the moon with the quality of your wedding day photos. I guarantee it!!!Phil is BEYOND AMAZING!!!! We've hired Phil to do our wedding photography next year. We just did our engagement photos with him. Oh my gosh they are STUNNING! Phil is such an incredible photographer!! He is so professional and knows everything there is to know about his trade. His ideas and creativity are endless not to mention the hundreds of different equipment he owns! His prices are also fantastic. Some photographers quoted me double for half the service! Phil is so passionate and takes extreme pride in his work.

Phil is a hardworking, extremely talented photographer that I highly recommend. I got married in Punta Cana and hired Phil about three months before the wedding. He helped me plan my big day in detail and we were in constant communication up until the wedding day. He did an excellent job photographing our special moments throughout the day and also got the party going at the reception. Not only did I love him, but my guests did as well. I was so happy going through my photos that I received from him last week. I couldn't believe some of the beautiful shots he got of the day. Phil was well worth every penny I spent!!Phil is a hardworking, extremely talented photographer that I highly recommend. He has amazing customer service, and even made sure to keep us in and out of air conditioned areas and kept us well fed so nobody fainted!
