I literally could not have survived wedding planning without Greta and Nova Events. Greta and her team understood our vision from the onset, were incredibly flexible with our busy work schedules, and made our wedding day so seamless and memorable for all of our guests. Greta was able to manage logistics that I would not even think to ask about and was very professional in coordination with our many vendors. Truly our fairy godmother/wedding guardian angel. I would recommend her without any reservation to any couple looking to get married or to anyone looking to host an event. -

This review is long overdue, but I wanted to make sure I took the time to give our incredible wedding planner the glowing praise she truly deserves. From the very beginning, she eased every single concern, guided us through some of the toughest decisions, and made the entire planning process feel effortless.
She was so patient with us, even when we were behind on giving her our to-do items. Instead of making us feel rushed or overwhelmed, she kept us on track with gentle reminders and a game plan that worked for our schedule. She also helped us stay within our budget without ever making us feel like we were sacrificing our vision—she had creative solutions for everything and made sure we got the absolute most out of every dollar.
No matter what challenges came up, she handled them with grace, professionalism, and the kind of calm that every stressed-out couple desperately needs. Whether it was helping us navigate tricky vendor decisions, coordinating last-minute details, or stepping up to handle anything and everything on the day of—she did it all flawlessly. With the lofty goal of planning a 250-person NYC wedding in just 4 months, my groom and I were certain that we'd need a good planner on our side. We interviewed 4 different planners and from the moment Greta appeared on our Zoom screen, we were immediately put at ease. She is calm yet direct, gentle yet firm, but most of all—her attention to detail is incomparable. I'm not sure how many times I said to her, "there's no way we could've done this without you," but I really, really meant it. Greta caught small errors by our other vendors that saved us a headaches and money in the long run. While we hired her for specifically to execute all the aspects of the wedding that we planned, she went beyond the scope of her work to make sure that we felt secure and on track to pull this wedding off. Her day-of team was calm and confident, which was more than I could've asked for in my anxious state. Hiring Greta and her team was some of the best money we spent on our wedding. -

The best of the best
We are so grateful we chose Greta as our Planner for our wedding at the New York Botanical Garden. We booked her for the month of, but she was dedicated since our very first email over a year out. I cannot put in enough words how amazing her and her team were leading up to our event and on the day of. My husband and I very much felt like guests at our own wedding and didn’t even think about any of the logistics on the day of. Her team handled everything so smoothly and professionally, including a last minute ceremony change due to the weather and even had tissues on hand when we needed it. They took care of our family and our wedding party, and even ensured later in the evening It was such a joy working with Greta and we absolutely recommend choosing her as your wedding planner. -

There are not enough words to express the amount of gratitude and love I have for Greta. My now husband and I got engaged in June of 2022 and started setting up meetings with prospective wedding planners/coordinators that July. Immediately after we finished our first call with Greta, we both looked at each other and said "yep, it's Greta!" As someone who is an over-planner and cares very much about logistics, details, and getting things done right the first time, I immediately knew Greta was my perfect match and that I did not have to worry about anything on my wedding day with her leading the way. Although we hired Greta for month-of-coordination, she met with us frequently from July 2022 up until our wedding last weekend and made sure the planning process was moving along and we felt supported through it all. She really gets to know her couples and makes your vision come to life so that you can fully experience and enjoy your wedding day. On top of that, she did a phenomenal job managing various vendor relationships and made sure all the vendors we hired were on the same page (which was crucial for our venue as vendors could only begin set-up at 11 AM the day of the wedding and needed to be cleaned up and out of the venue a couple of hours after our wedding ended).
Again, there are not enough words or ways I can express how grateful we are for Greta. Our wedding exceeded our expectations and it would not have been as beautiful and magical as it was if it wasn't for Greta. THANK YOU a million times over! If you need a wedding planner, coordinator, or professional to trust with one of the most special days of your life, choose Greta...choose her every time! -

I am so incredibly grateful for Nova/ Greta.
She was our wedding coordinator. She took her magic wang and in a matter of a few months she helped us coordinate and organized the most beautiful and elegant wedding. She was always available for any questions or concerns I had leading up to the wedding, and i had many lol as a new bride my knowledge was very limited, time lines, wedding invitations, menus, she even designed our welcome sign, Greta developed relationships with my vendors to ensure proper communication and to execute my vision. On the day of the wedding, she was there every step of the way, ensuring I did not have to stress about anything, I can’t recommend her services enough! My advice to those that want to have a beautiful wedding to hire her services, I promise, it is worth it!! She is THE BEST of THE BEST. -

You never truly understand the value of a wedding planner/coordinator until after the wedding. I am SOOOO happy I had Greta and her team help us out with your special day. I would always hear how the wedding day is so stressful and that you don’t get to actually enjoy it, that you don’t even get to eat, as you have to make sure everything goes as planned and cater to all of your guests. I am SO happy to say I did not feel any of that! My husband and I got to relax and we had so much fun because she was there to do all that for us. Greta and her team planned every single detail of the wedding day for me. She had a very detailed timeline and was with us at every moment of the event. She made sure everything ran smoothly and as planned. I know not everyone can afford a wedding planner, but you should AT LEAST hire a wedding coordinator. I was so clueless going into this… There are so many little details we had no idea about. Greta helped us with inspiration ideas, with vendor recommendations(which again- they were the best of the best and that just made everything so much better. We had absolutely no issues with any of the vendors because she knew who to recommend) she helped with the timeline, with the decorations… literally everything. My wedding wouldn’t have been what it was if it wasn’t for her, as she was the brains behind the entire event. Greta is so good at what she does!! She was able to figure out my style and what I like on our first meeting. She’s literally the best of the best! You don’t regret working with her. Trust me, you’ll thank me later!! 😊😊 -

10/10 would recommend NOVA to any couple looking for a team of people to execute the perfect wedding. Nova Events and Greta were amazing to work with throughout the entire process. Greta was able to organize and structure the wedding planning so everything felt easy in the short 9 Month planning process. She was welcoming and encouraged our quirky out-of-the-box ideas and was a trooper when I proposed an added idea during the 11th hour of planning. If you looking for someone to handle the stress of the planning, so you can focus on the joy, then this is the place for you!. (We live in NYC and got married in Miami, are a super gay couple, and had a creative black tie wedding.) -

I knew Greta was our planner from the very first interview. She said “okay, so this is an event” and I was sold. She understood my vision, didn’t make me feel crazy (everyone else did!) or like I was doing too much, and was a fierce advocate when the road became bumpy once or twice along the way. With her extensive catering background, my chef wife felt extremely confident in her ability to oversee back of house execution when necessary to ensure top notch service for our very big wedding in a somewhat logistically complex venue. She also brought an INCREDIBLE team with her - we had bridal attendants who steamed dresses and seemed to have the answer to every question before we could even ask it. Completely helped us relax and enjoy getting ready without the added stress of coordinating family members!
She and her team members were also present with us throughout the night, always there to hand off a drink, blot my sweaty face before a photo, or find my temporarily missing engagement ring!
Greta and her team totally executed my vision, 700 lit candles and all. Our wedding night was an absolute dream, in no small part thanks to Nova Events.
I only wish we could do it all again!
P.S. Have to mention that as a gay couple in south Florida, vendor / planner shopping felt cumbersome at times, as many industry figures at the time were using only Bride/Groom language, and/or only featuring cis-het couples on their pages. Nova Event’s Instagram has always been an inclusive page. At our first zoom meeting, I pointed out to Greta how I appreciated seeing photos of all kinds of couples on her page, as I had been having a bit of a difficult time feeling like we were finding someone who actually wanted to work with a gay couple, let alone someone who already had worked with a gay couple. I casually mentioned that some vendors would put a little rainbow emoji in their bio to signify that all are welcome. After our meeting, I was browsing her page again and noticed that she added a rainbow.
It may seem insignificant to some, but to us the acknowledgment, representation, and respect was huge.

We began planning our wedding during the craziest year of our lives. We moved back to NYC, one of us finished a grad program, we both started new jobs. We realized we needed help but since we were having a small or "micro" wedding of only 30 people, we ran into issues finding someone willing to dedicate the same level of care as a 200 person wedding, but wouldn't charge us the price of planning a larger wedding. Then we found Greta at Nova Events. She offered us everything we wanted: a package just for couples wanting a wedding with less than 50 people, one-on-one communication and dedication to making our dream wedding come true, and she brought her light and energy to everything we did together. We worked closely with her and Lesley to talk through everything and anytime something came up, they both offered immediate and concrete solutions. Lesley found us a stunning venue that was perfect for 30 people (a rarity in New York!) and Greta organized everything so we could just enjoy the day. I was a very hands-on bride, with ideas about everything, and they both took it in stride, going above and beyond to make sure I was happy with how everything turned out. The day of, I was surprisingly nervous, and was so grateful Lesley was there by my side, comforting me the entire day, while Greta set everything up beautifully at the venue. I never once felt like the service they provided was “less than” the attention they would give a larger wedding, and would highly recommend them if you’re trying to do a smaller wedding, but care deeply about the details. Greta has a deep knowledge and relationship with many vendors and Lesley can find just about anything you want, plus she won’t rest until you’re happy with the result. Thank you Nova Events team! -

Her team was impressive and professional on the day of and nothing was dropped. Throughout the planning process, she was our visionary, our friend, our cheerleader, our problem solver, our therapist, our savior. She is so incredibly attuned to detail, creative, and knowledgeable that she made all of the tricky and difficult parts of wedding planning a breeze. She finds a solution to any problem that comes up. You can trust her to not just accomplish any aspect of the planning process but to supersede your expectations by 100-fold. She is a tireless worker behind the scenes and was incredibly organized, available, and responsive to our many questions. Absolute life saver!! From start to finish Greta and her team were amazing. Greta helped me every step of the way for my MA wedding, coming up for site visits, answering all my emails and calls when things weren't going to plan and calmed me down on multiple occasions. My now husband and I got Covid just days before our original wedding date and Greta sprung into action and helped us reschedule with all of our vendors and guests. When our day finally came, it was nothing but perfect (despite the 98 degree weather.) Greta and her assistants Monica, Christy and Chris made sure every little detail was perfect while being professional and seamless. They were really there for my husband and I and I cannot thank Greta and her team more. The only way to describe this team is ABOVE AND BEYOND. -

Greta and Nova Events were a lifesaver!!
If you are looking for the best, then book Greta as your wedding coordinator. She has been like our guardian Angel. She is so attentive to her clients, and really looks out for their best interest. As a mother of the bride that works full time, and had to plan two of my daughters weddings within one year, I knew I needed to find someone that knew what they were doing! Thank gosh I found Greta! Both of my daughter’s had completely different visions and expectations for their day. Because of Greta, both of them got their dream weddings, even though one of my daughter’s had less than 4 months to plan a wedding with over 200 guests. We could never have gotten it done without Nova Events.
I wanted someone to help me that was super experienced, had attention to detail, and would make sure my daughter’s weddings were exactly what they always wanted. Nova Events more than surpassed all of my expectations, and went above and beyond to ensure my daughters day was perfect.
Greta was a God send, and I could never have done it without her. Her vendor recommendations were the best, she has impeccable taste, and I can’t imagine anyone else being more dedicated to her clients, more organized, or more knowledgeable than her.
If you want to be able to really enjoy your wedding season, and not be overwhelmed by all the thousands of details, hire Greta! She has a way of planning that breaks everything down, to where if you just follow her lead, you can actual enjoy the process. I am so grateful for all she did for my girls, and after working with her this last year planning both my daughter’s weddings, I now consider her more than just one of our vendors, she is a definitely a dear friend. -

We worked with Greta for our intimate NYC wedding.
Greta helped us with things big and small. One of the big things? She helped us source new venues when we thought we were going to have to switch. And the small? She personally picked up our wedding cakes, yes multiple, the day of the wedding.
She helped with payments, checklists, scheduling, coordination…she even helped with my wedding shoe choices—and you bet there were a lot of them.
I’m not exaggerating when I say I’m a complete control freak. But Greta’s attention to detail and cool-calm-collected-ness would make any OCD bride happy.
She answered every text no matter the time of day.
She sourced special vendors for us for florals and music.
And when my brother-in-law showed up on our wedding day wearing a heinous pair of socks, she offered to run out to buy him new ones. That’s dedication.
Chrystie, the bridal attendant, held my hand (literally and figuratively) all day. Plus, we just loved having her energy around us. She put me at ease and that’s a tall ordering considering I’m anything but easy.
I didn’t think I needed a wedding planner. But without Greta and her team, our day would not have been possible. -

We decided to have a small intimate celebration last minute and needed help fast. Greta was as excited about planning our small gathering as much as we were. She immediately set up a zoom call to get to know us and within one week we had a list of to do's and a timeline we were ecstatic to receive and follow. It made the process so seamless. During these hard time she inspired us and made our day beautiful. Followed all of the Covid 19 restrictions and guidelines and made us and our guests feel very comfortable.
