Dream Wedding

I can not say enough good things about Cindy and Laurie. They made the entire wedding planning process so smooth and created our dream wedding. Everything was beyond perfect and we got so many compliments on our wedding and multiple people saying it was the best wedding they had ever been to. We had a very small wedding at the Kukahiko Estate (the prettiest venue I have ever seen) and finished with an amazing dinner at Gannon’s (best dessert I have ever had). Our officiant, Al, was also amazing, the ceremony was absolutely perfect and everyone loved him. I would definitely recommend Makena to anyone!

Dream Wedding at Olowalu Plantation House

We had our absolute DREAM wedding at Olowalu Plantation House, and in large part thanks to Makena Weddings and working with Cindy throughout the planning process and day of. She always comforted me and reminded me they are there to make it "stress free". From my initial inquiry with Makena Weddings I knew it was a perfect fit with me as they provided some sample excel sheets with preliminary budgets from venues I was interested in (I love excel sheets for planning!). From there everything came together so seamlessly, especially planning from California. On wedding day, I felt stress free and was absolutely stunned how everything exceeded our expectations. The venue looked amazing and included all the special details and touches I requested from my pinterest inspiration and even MORE! Thanks to Laurie for getting me prepped and ready for my walk down the aisle with my dad and special thanks to Al for his very special ceremony. The whole day was amazing and magical! Thank you Makena Weddings for everything!!!

The best!

Where do we begin… Cindy and Laurie made our wedding more than anything we could’ve ever dreamed of. We got married February 2020 at Maria Lanakila Catholic Church and had the reception at Olowalu Plantation. Throughout the year leading up to our wedding we were mostly in contact with Cindy and she made the process of finding the perfect vendors within our budget simple. I voiced to her multiple times that I felt like I wasn’t “stressed” enough because she was handling the details and making it so easy for me. We were pretty much hands off with the majority of the wedding planning and trusted both Cindy and Laurie as well as the vendors to use their creative talents …… they blew our expectations out of the water. Our wedding was a fairytale and they handled every tiny detail so we could enjoy our day and soak up every special moment without having to worry. Laurie had my back during the rehearsal when I wanted the ceremony to flow differently than normally done at the church and ensured it would work out how I wanted.

The vendors they work with are exceptional.. Marvin Tevaga & hula dancers, Angela Nelson Photography, Aloha Bars, and Café O Lei catering. The star of the reception were the floral arrangements. We worked with Dellables and gave her a look we were hoping for and let her take it away with designing the floral arrangements and bouquets however she wanted. It was like we walked into a floral jungle and our guests still to this day cannot stop raving about how breathtaking it was. Pictures just do not do justice to how well the entire reception was executed. She also made personalized bouquets for my sisters/bridesmaids based on their individual dresses.

Our day was absolutely perfect from start to finish (even complete with whales jumping off shore and rainbows!). Laurie and Cindy are truly the best at what they do. Trust me, these two will make your dreams for your wedding turn into reality!!

Olowalu Plantation House Fairytale wedding

My husband and I had hired Makena Weddings for our wedding planning. They did an amazing work. We planned everything from New York over phone and emails without seeing anything but the venue before the wedding day. They are very quick to respond to emails and happy to schedule calls as needed. They were very flexible to our requests and managed to keep us in budget while delivering amazing end results. It’s hard to find someone to fully trust for such an important event and plan over the phone but they worked their magic and made everything perfect to every little details. On our wedding day we also didn’t have to worry about anything, they helped coordinate everything for us and we just enjoyed our beyondddd perfect day. Highly recommend!

Made our Wedding Day the Best Day Ever!

Cindy and Laurie of Makena Weddings made our wedding day the most amazing day ever. Communication was always easy, and there was not a single thing I had to worry about on the day of the wedding - can’t tell you how much I appreciate that! Our wedding day was more beautiful than we could have imagined, and it’s a day our families and ourselves will not stop talking about. Everyone was in awe of our special day! We are so happy with our memories of that day, and our communication with Makena Wedding in general, and would not change a single thing.

I’m a bit of a control freak when it comes to anything like this, so I’m always skeptical of getting help from others but the best decision I made was hiring Makena Weddings!!! We are beyond grateful for everything they did. Not only Cindy and Laurie, but Al put on an AMAZING ceremony for us that everyone absolutely loved. His words were so moving and unforgettable. We have nothing but PERFECT memories of our wedding day, and we have Makena Weddings to thank for that. You will not go wrong choosing them!!!

Flawless!!

Laurie and Cindy are the best!! We had our destination wedding on 8/4/2019. They made the planning process seamless, and executed perfectly! The wedding was better than my husband and I envisioned. Best wedding ever!

What a perfect day! Laurie and Cindy at Makena Weddings are amazing -- they planned, coordinated and put together an absolutely stunning, super fun and super beautiful wedding that included all of our requests and was really tailored to us -- they made everything incredibly easy for us (we live in Australia, so they took care of ALL details locally, answered all our questions, and were always available to us), and made all our dreams come true. Absolutely amazing!

My older son and his fiance were married on Maui in Nov and Laurie and Al from Makena Weddings were amazing! They made this dream wedding become real for our family. From the beginning, Laurie listened to the ideas they imagined for their wedding and made them come true! Every single detail was taken care of for a stress free, absolutely beautiful day. And Al. How do you describe this gentle giant, with his memorizing words. He performed the ceremony with singing the aloha greeting in Hawaiian. What a beautiful voice! The whole ceremony was relaxed with tears and laughter and couldn't have been more perfect and personal! Everyone said it was the best wedding they'd ever been to! You can tell Laurie and Al absolutely love what they do and as the Mother of the Groom, I can't thank them enough for blessing us on our special day!

Perfect Destination Wedding

Laurie & Cindy were awesome! Organising a destination wedding may have challenges, but we did not encounter any. Everything was seamless and they were able to organise everything we asked for. We found it easy to send photos of what we were looking for and Laurie and Cindy worked their magic to make it happen. Very helpful to see detailed budgets and timelines as so we could be flexible and incorporate exactly what we wanted. Our wedding day was perfect and we would not change a thing. Thanks for all of your help Laurie & Cindy! Will highly recommend your services to anyone trying to get married on Maui. AMAZING! The best day ever !

We can not thank Makena weddings enough for all they did to make sure our day was beyond perfect. From the very first phone call we knew they were the ones ! Laurie and Cindy were open, honest, and accepting of all of our thoughts and ideas. They worked within our budget and were always there to answer all of our questions promptly. They made me feel so comfortable from the time we arrived on Maui and throughout the entire wedding day. Reverend Al was absolutely incredible and offered such a beautiful sermon, including our 7 year old daughter in the vows. We had family asking us where he offered service afterwards as they were so blown away ! The entire experience was so memorable and special to us. We are so grateful to have had Makena weddings there for us on our special day.

Very responsive, personable, and nailed everything we wanted!

When we began to plan and contact wedding planners, it became pretty overwhelming and stressful, but as soon as we found Makena Weddings, a ton of weight lifted off our shoulders and they are a true gem.

From the first contact with Makena Weddings, they were very informative with recommendations of venues and catering. Cindy and Laurie created such a personalized solution based on our vision and made it so very simple for us. Cindy and Laurie were on it with creating our detailed, broken down quotes and did a fantastic job keeping in touch with us all the way up until and after our Wedding Day. I had many questions leading up to the day and they were by my side the entire way. I had initially had certain vendors in mind, and when I had concerns, Cindy and Laurie were there to reassure me. The most important thing to us during the planning was to have someone respond to us in a timely manner and Makena Weddings took the cake!!

Cindy was our main point of contact and she was always so calm and pleasant to work with. Day of wedding, she did not seem frantic at all, and everything ran so smoothly. The Ceremony, Cocktail hour, and Reception were perfect! The details were so beautiful and it really was everything beyond our imagination. She also was able to incorporate the little personalized touches we wanted.

Rev. Al Terry. Oh my gosh! He is a hoot and so gentle. Until this day, our friends and family talk about how light his spirit is and how fun he kept the Ceremony, which by the way, made for great photos!

We highly, highly recommend Makena Weddings. We are so grateful for them and we could not imagine working with anyone else. We hope you choose Makena Weddings as your planner. They are such beautiful souls and spirits and they really are the dream-makers!

I truly can't say enough about Makena Weddings

There are no words to describe Makena Weddings, (Laurie, Cindy, and Al) Our wedding planning process was completely stress-free from the day we picked our date until the end of the evening of our Wedding day. They went above and beyond in so many ways. Our day could not have been better and our guests even told us that it was the most beautiful wedding they have ever been to. Laurie made everyone in our bridal party so at ease and added some beautiful touches that we didn't even think of. Al's ceremony was so beautiful and personal. Laurie was there every step of the way to answer questions and help with coordinating with our vendors. (And I had A LOT of questions along the way) and even though we were so far away, I never felt like I couldn't call or email. Laurie was always so quick to get back to me every time. If you are getting married in Maui, I HIGHLY recommend that you use Makena Weddings. Cindy and Laurie are AMAZING! True miracle workers! I started planning my wedding 15 months prior to the event date. Cindy and Laurie gave us really great vendors to choose from. Everyone from the florist to the photographer to the videographer to the bar service to the DJ was outstanding. As the date got closer, Cindy and Laurie were great about talking me through all the details and logistics and allowing me to be as involved or uninvolved in all of the decisions as I wanted. But the real miracle work came on wedding week. Let me tell you a little bit about the crazy week that was my wedding... it definitely did not go as expected. During our week in Maui we were faced with Hurricane Lane, followed by a fire, followed by a power outage. Dinners and events we had planned for months were canceled as were several of our guests’ flights taking us from a 40 person wedding down to 25. I scrambled to process my disappointment while also struggling to make last minute changes... all things you never plan to be doing on your wedding day. Then I found out that the musician we hired wouldn’t be able to make it either. Everything I planned was crumbling before my eyes. I arrived at my incredible outdoor wedding venue Olowalu Plantation House on the sunny afternoon of August 25 but about 30 minutes before guests arrived, the rain starting pouring down. Luckily for us, our wedding planners were absolute professionals, prepared for anything. Due to a power outage in Lahaina, we would not have had electricity (no lights, no mics, no DJ!) but luckily our planners brought generators so we had everything. They brought in a tent and quickly moved our entire ceremony set up underneath it. They also found a last-minute guitarist to play for us! Despite having one of the craziest wedding stories, everything day-of ran seamlessly as Makena Weddings helped us deal with each new change. THANK YOU!

My husband and I were engaged in Kauai and dreamed of a Hawaiian wedding that we could share with friends and family. When starting to research how to begin to plan a wedding in Hawaii all the way from Eastern Canada is started to get a bit overwhelming....Then I stumbled upon Makena Weddings and that was when everything changed!!!

Laurie and Cindy were angels who made planning our special day a true joy. They took any and all stress out of the process and I had full confidence and trust that everything would be taken care of. They were upfront and knew the best of the best and never once tried to push us outside our limits. Our day was flawless and a complete dream and it was all because of them! Laurie’s husband Al officiated our ceremony and it was truly the most special part of the whole day. He is a gifted man and we were so blessed to have him marry us. Where do I start? It’s not easy planning a wedding. It’s even more crazy when you’re doing it from another state! Enter Makena Weddings- the self proclaimed “dream makers” (via their website)- and they REALLY are.

I worked closely with Cindy via email and I think it’s important to note that I wasn’t overly excited about planning a wedding. Fortunately, I did have a “vision”- a small, intimate, fairy-tale like wedding, and they made it happen.

Working with Cindy over email and phone was a positive experience: I know they’re popular, but they always remain responsive, have suggestions, and are very professional. But meeting them in person was even better. Laurie and Cindy were just the sweetest women and made my day absolutely awesome. All the guests loved them too.

Every single vendor that they recommended went above and beyond. They went above and beyond. All my planning and efforts were 100% worth it because our wedding day is something that my now husband and I can look back on fondly. We both had a blast, and so did our guests. I am so grateful to have found Cindy and Laurie and I would recommend them to anyone. We had our wedding at Kukahiko Estate and I wouldn’t change a single thing about that day. Thank you!!

I highly recommend Makena Weddings. Cindy planned our wedding in November 2017 at Kukahiko Estate in Maui and she was fantastic. She was very patient with me as I peppered her with questions, ideas and photos! We spoke and corresponded over email so many times in the months leading up to the wedding. We were having a small wedding and were conscious of budget and Cindy was very helpful in finding ways for us to keep our budget in check. She really understood our vision of how we wanted the day to go and had great ideas and advice. We live in New York and had been to Maui a few times on vacation. But it was a leap of faith (especially for a Type A personality!) to have our wedding there when we weren’t able to fly out and see the venue, meet the officiant and vendors or taste food ahead of time. Cindy guided us through the whole thing and we trusted her judgment- I’m so happy we did. When we arrived on the island we met with Cindy and went to see Kukahiko Estate, which was even more beautiful than it was in the pictures- just like she said it would be! Our wedding day was absolutely perfect- I cannot say enough about how beautifully it all came together. Cindy executed everything behind the scenes and to us the whole event was seamless. We used Makena Weddings Florals for our flowers and everything was stunning! They did the tables in greenery, pineapples and candles and strung up lights in the trees and it all looked beautiful. It was exactly what we wanted. I told Cindy after the wedding that I felt like she had been inside my head because everything was exactly how I had envisioned and dreamed it would be. Every detail was as we had discussed- both big and small. Because Cindy had everything completely in hand, we were able to just focus on enjoying ourselves and savoring every minute of our wedding day. All of our friends and family were blown away by how gorgeous the wedding turned out. I can recommend Cindy and Makena Weddings without reservation!

WOW, enough cannot be said about how great Makena Weddings did for helping my wife and I renew our 10 year vow renewal on Maui. I planned this as a surprise and they worked with me to wait to charge the deposit on my credit card so I could help keep this a surprise for my wife. They were great at communicating through the whole process and making sure it was exactly what I wanted. They allowed me to modify the ceremony like I wanted and let me add unity sand to the ceremony.

I think the most important service we received from Makena Weddings was the officiant and this added all the special feeling to our ceremony. Rev Al was amazing, he immediately makes you feel the connection between each other and brings the true feeling of Hawaii and love all together. His words are amazing and he really roles with taking from what he is feeling to add to the ceremony. I am not planning on renewing my vows anytime soon but I would love to have Rev Al do this for me again, amazing-Joe and Emily

Laurie and Cindy are the best wedding planners you could ever chose for your destination wedding in Maui! It's such a daunting task to plan a wedding from overseas, but when we first met these ladies, my then-fiance and I knew we were in good hands! We had three wedding events: a day-before welcome cocktail reception, the actual ceremony and reception, and a day-after brunch. Everything, seriously everything, went so smoothly and miraculously enough for us, completely stress-free! Also like us, all of our guests were blown away by it all! Practically everyone has told us, both during and after our wedding, how "chill" and smooth our wedding flowed. We had so many people come to tell us they had the best time at our wedding and that our wedding was by far the best wedding they had or would ever attend! In fact, it's almost a two months later and everyone is STILL talking about it! Honestly, all my husband had to really do was tell Laurie and Cindy an idea of what we would like, and they exceeded all our expectations!
Laurie and Cindy are complete pros at what they do! They helped give my husband THE dream wedding we never knew we wanted, but are so happy and feel so lucky to have had.

Lauri and Cindy of Makena Weddings made planning a wedding in Maui from California so easy! We kept in touch with each other every other week or so or if I had other questions more often. It never seemed as if they were too busy to help or that any question was too dumb! From the beginning, they were very transparent with the cost of everything and helped me stick to my budget while including everything I wanted. We had our ceremony at the beautiful Kukahiko Estate and I cannot have imagined anywhere more beautiful! Highly recommend! We then had dinner at Gannon's just down the road. I gave Cindy very few direction on what I wanted but the decorations turned out more beautiful than I could've imagined! So many amazing details! The wonderful Dmitri of Dmitri and Sandra Photography took our photos and we were amazed as well! Laurie at Makena Weddings made our Kukahiko Wedding absolutely incredible. In fact, on their website is a short blog about our wedding and vendors and details to see for yourself! Laurie makes it happen. She ensured that everything we wanted or needed, she would do her best to provide and figure out. She made the day of execution so comfortable as we knew she was handling every detail. She is a great person as well, great to talk with and share ideas and stories. What great people to work with! My wife and I were married last week after coordinating our wedding with Makena Weddings from our home in Seattle. The whole process was easy, reasonably priced and most importantly to us, we were able to work with people who clearly care about what they do and those they help on this special day. Al, Laurie and Cindy were all amazing. You can't find a better person to marry you than Al - guaranteed! We instantly felt a connection with him. They also recommended a photographer that GREATLY exceeded our expectations (Michael Stuarts who works for Chris Evans). There was an additional charge for this higher end photographer but he was worth every penny. We didn't really have the money to add this additional cost, but I have zero regrets. What great photos. And what a great wedding. Do yourself a favor and reach out to the kind folks at Makena!

Laurie, Cindy and Reverend Al were absolutely wonderful to work with. Our wedding day was everything we had dreamed it would be and more because of the care and planning of Makena Weddings. Laurie and Cindy are amazing! I booked them over a year out based on their reviews. I'm so glad I did! They are on it and really get a feel for who you are and what you want for your special day. Weddings are stressful and a destination wedding has not more but a different type of stress. These ladies put your mind at ease and really care about your day. We can’t say enough good things about Makena Weddings and what an incredible job that Laurie and Cindy did in making our wedding something that everyone is going to remember for a lifetime! No detail was left out and Makena Weddings was able to accommodate our budget without sacrificing the elements of our wedding that we wanted. It really made the experience as stress-free as possible with next-to-nothing to worry about! Reverend Al was wonderful and conducted the ceremony beautifully. Our venue (Olowalu Plantation House) was the perfect setting and the food provided by Café O’Lei in Kihei was beyond delicious! Many of our guests have commented on how our wedding was the best one that they have ever been to and we owe that to Laurie and her team. My husband and I are from Canada and, with the help of Laurie at Makena Weddings, we were able to plan our entire wedding from home without meeting our vendors ahead of time.
I must admit that I'm 100% type A, which meant that I had a long excel spread sheet comparing 10 different MAUI wedding planners AND that I had a very specific vision in mind. While many of the wedding planners that I emailed had great ideas and were able to accommodate our budget, none of them quite compared to Laurie. Laurie was kind enough to offer a phone interview to help with the decision process and after speaking to her, I instantly felt at ease. She very kindly explained that she can make any budget work for a Maui wedding and promised that she'd do her best to help my vision come to life.
We had about a year of emails & phone calls back and forth- talk about patience! My questions were always answered, my ideas were always acknowledged, and any discrepancies in cost or budget were always reconciled quickly. Because she has been in the business for many years, Laurie has intimate connections with all of her vendors and so I felt comfortable trusting her suggestions.
We got married at Olowalu resort and our wedding day was a magical dream! Everything turned out better than expected, and Laurie was there to keep everything running smoothly.
From start to finish, Laurie handled the planning process in both a professional and genuinely-loving manner. It's obvious that she's passionate about what she does, because her heart seemed to be in it every step of the way.
I would highly recommend her to future brides.

I got to hand it to Makena Weddings. They did a fantastic job on our Wedding at Kukahiko Estate. We live in California, so planning a wedding 2500 miles away just based off emails and phone calls can seem daunting at first, but once we spoke with Laurie and Cindy @ Makena Weddings, they made the process simple form the get-go to the very end. We did originally look to other wedding planners at the start, but a lot of them felt "business-like" and only wanted us to sign contracts right away. We had tons of questions and Laurie and Cindy took the time to answer all of them to put us both at ease. We felt comfortable with them and decided to move forward with them, which was one of the best decisions we could have made.

So fast forward 9 months into planning (email and phone only), we are here on our wedding day.... and it's raining cats and dogs! I didn't show it... but I was going bananas in my head when it started to pour 20 minutes right before our start time. Laurie and Cindy made sure everything transitioned from our outdoor wedding inside the estate to the lanai and everything ran seamlessly. We couldn't have been any happier how smoothly everything ran.

Reverend Al (Laurie's husband) who officiated our wedding was extremely warm, genuine, kind and funny... really made our wedding ceremony special and memorable.

If you are planning a destination wedding in Maui, Makena Weddings is the place to go!

August 27, 2016 was our wedding day in beautiful Maui at the Olowalu Plantation House, and Laurie and Cindy were awesome! They made sure everything came together to make our special day extra special!!! Laurie brought us attention to detail and a sense of "family" that was really touching.

Even when it started to sprinkle, she was unflappable and kept everything going on schedule. We and our guests were even blessed with a rainbow and then a double rainbow to help celebrate our wedding. The sunshine returned and it was magical to see how mountains gloweding the background. Our guests couldn't stop talking about how everything came together for a beautiful ceremony and reception. We were so lucky to have Laurie!

We started planning our wedding almost a year in advance and Laurie was easy to work with and helped us plan our perfect wedding. She gave us pointers and suggestions and welcomed all of our questions with exprienced answers. Every recommendation she made was wonderful(caterer: Café O'lei, photographer: Scott Drexlor, video-grapher:Ohana Films,...). She was our wedding planner, counselor, and friend throughtout the planning of our wedding.

If you want to experience the true "aloha" spirit in a wedding planner, Laurie is who you want.

Makena Weddings was a delight to work with. My husband and I celebrated our 25 wedding anniversary on May 10, 2016. On this day we renewed our vows. The ceremony was to be in the beach but because it was raining we had the ceremony on our lanai facing the ocean. Rev. Al and Laurie kept in contact with us hoping the rain would stop. Laurie and Al are awesome people. Professional and easy to work with. They made our wedding day on Makena Surf Beach the best day of our lives. Laurie is easy to talk to and once you meet her it's like you just made another best friend. I broke a nail the day before the wedding and Laurie called her nail salon to get it taken care of for me. She went above and beyond. My now husband is a little hard of hearing. Al made sure he heard every word of the ceremony. He made both of us feel so relaxed and into the moment. A moment in Paradise with no worries. He made us feel and enjoy the beauty of where we were at that moment. Truly a special gift he has. I can't say enough good things about them. If you want that dream wedding then Laurie and Al are your "ONLY" choice. They recommended Marbelle Photography and video. Fred and Jen Joswick, husband and wife team. They are truly a team. They work off each other to perfection. You can tell they know what they are doing and they care. I was so pleased with the 272 photo's I am getting all of them. If we could give Makena weddings 1000 stars, we would. This is our story...
We are from Canada and we had initially contracted Jenna Kohler of Maui Wedding Coordinators; we paid her in full for our wedding two months before our wedding date. She called us 9 days before our wedding and said she "could not pay our vendors and therefore she could not go ahead with our wedding". We are still fighting to get our money back from Jenna...
Meanwhile, we had 9 days to plan a wedding from scratch. We were devastated, and in shock and complete disbelief that this could happen to us. And we had 30 guests coming from Canada, to a wedding that now was not happening...in 9 days.
We immediately started doing damage control. I contacted Laurie and Cindy from Makena weddings. I told them our story and they assured me from the first moment on the phone that they "would make this happen and not to stress or worry". This was, of course, hard for us to believe after our experience and what we went through with Jenna. But we really didn't have another option, given our circumstances.
It is not small feat to pull together a wedding in 9 days, but Makena weddings was truly amazing. Not only did they make our day so amazing and memorable, but they really did save us from a potentially disastrous situation. I cannot say enough good things about Laurie/Al/Cindy, and how special our day was. They gathered excellent vendors together for our wedding in that short time frame they had to work with... All of them were excellent.
Laurie and Cindy are both wonderful people and very easy to work with. Tim and I put our full trust in Laurie and Cindy, and our wedding couldn't have been more perfect. I cannot emphasize enough how thankful we are for Makena weddings coming to our rescue. And literally ...they RESCUED us. Sounds cheesy, but it's true.
I can ASSURE you that Makena weddings will make your day magical. Not to mention the 50+ 5-star reviews they have...that is pretty telling iIMO....

Having a wedding planner is a must with a destination wedding were all inclusive resorts are not the option. Laurie and Cindy were eager to help me and made the process of planning less stressful and more fun. I already had ideas in mind and Laurie helped our dreams come true! She is fabulous at what she does and I enjoyed seeing what was created for what I had in mind for our wedding.
The attention to detail (big or small) and her ability to communicate to the other vendors is behind the scenes and is much appriaciated. Our day was flawless and flowed perfectly! The customer service at the resteraunt was remarkable and by far the best I have yet to see. They had served us our drink and appy (cheese platter) within minutes of arriving.
I dont know where to begin on the list for what amazing work was accomplished for our day. Nor can find words to express how wonderful we felt knowing we had Laurie helping and guiding us through it all.

We cannot say enough about how Makena Weddings made our wedding day absolutely perfect. Without a doubt, choosing Makena Weddings for our destination wedding was the best decision made in our entire wedding planning process. Laurie and her team walked us through every step of the way and really took our every desire into consideration and made us feel completely comfortable and cared for. After choosing the venue (Kukahiko Estate) and the vendors, we took a more "hands off" approach with our planning and told Makena Weddings our main requests and general feel that we wanted to achieve. From there, Makena Weddings made the wedding magical for us. We knew that our wedding day was going to be special, but the amount of care that went into all of the small things that were planned out for us did not go overlooked or underappreciated. We were so blessed to have Laurie and Al organize and share our special day.

Laurie had a knack of "knowing" and anticipated and planned for our wishes expertly. She is a great listener and interpreted our sometimes vague directions with generous understanding and we felt she really got to know us a couple.

Laurie and Rev Al - are a great team . Al performed the service on the beach , and his warmth , humour and personalized approach was so appreciated.

We called them our "A" team :

1) Jean in hair and make-up for turning the girls into princesses .
We couldn't have done without her and even managed to have a political discussion (calms the wedding nerves lol).

2) The leis and bouquets were absolutely gorgeous and Laurie managed to incorporate my beloved blue into my flowers - wonderful !

3) The lovely Stephan in videography and Justin & team in photography. You were all so kind and smiley on the day , we really felt your happy vibes . Justin also spent so much time with us afterward going through our photos - what a great guy :).

4) Ron - what a talented musician who really made us feel at ease, and sang us our favourite melodies with a warm smiling face.

5) Thank- you Laurie for : Cake on the beach fizzy peach bubbly in our gorgeous engraved glasses we know you went to much trouble to obtain :)

6) The debonair "Uncle Dave" who expertly transported us to our destination and also even gave us a lesson in Maui history (we requested it).

Thanks also for "confiscating" the boy's sunglasses and the Go Pro" camera ! Good call !
The images were much improved as a result LOL!

Last but not least : Laurie and Al. Maui is a better place for having you both help couples like us organize and enjoy our dream wedding. :)

We truly had the destination wedding of our dreams thanks to the talented team over at Makena Weddings. Our guests are still raving about EVERYTHING about our July 17, 2015 wedding and it was Makena Weddings that made it all happen for us! Reverend Al, Laurie and Cindy went above and beyond to not only plan & execute what we had envisioned, but they took it to a whole other level by adding in special touches that we had never even thought of or imagined, but truly made the day that much more beautiful, meaningful and memorable. We had heard from other couples that planning a destination wedding can be incredibly difficult, time consuming, expensive & stressful, but our experience couldn't have been any different than that or better working with Makena Weddings - they made us feel like the most important people in the world throughout the entire process with their outstanding service & friendly demeanor, awesome vendor selections, responsiveness, always staying on top of everything, keeping us informed, on schedule, within budget and stress-free, which is exactly what we wanted, needed and received! I can't say enough good things about Makena Weddings! I loved working with Laurie and our wedding was everything we wanted it to be!!!

Laurie was very laid back and easy to work with. She gave us great advice when we had questions, and she gave very honest feedback and was extremely knowledgable about vendors, options and expectations. She helped us stay within our budget and delivered wonderful details that made for a beautiful day.

I loved working with Makena Weddings and we had the most spectacular Maui wedding! The best part about working with Laurie is that on our wedding day we were completely relaxed and knew that Laurie and her team had everything taken care of so all we had to do was enjoy the day! Our guests had an amazing time as well and raved about the food, the setting and the experience. She not only helped us plan our wedding but had great advice on places to go in Maui throughout our week that enhanced our time spent on the island with family and friends.

Laurie was so wonderful to work with. We found her last minute with only a few months to plan some small details for our wedding. She was absolutely wonderful and gave great advice as to what would work and what wouldn't. Such a sweet sweet lady and really took care of us. Al was also wonderful. Such a nice gentle soul and made our ceremony so much fun. Everyone at our wedding said it was the most amazing ceremony they've ever been to, that was a really nice compliment and I think it had a lot to do with Makena Weddings. Our wedding with Makena Weddings was truly magical. Magical, in that we had the most perfect wedding we could have imagined on the beach in the paradise of Maui but also magical in that it was really almost as easy as waving a wand and everything was planned just as we wanted. I communicated with Laurie by phone and mostly email what it was we would like for our ceremony and everything was just so easy and perfect. We met with Al and Laurie when we arrived in Maui and they walked us through everything we needed to know for our day- then went just around the corner for our wedding licence, easy as could be! Everything about the ceremony was perfect- Al is wonderful, no flipping through pages or books - he knows all he will say by heart and WITH heart. The photographer we selected through their choices was amazing, weather was perfect as we were advised the best time of day to have our ceremony by Laurie, makeup and hair was wonderful and the cake was an amazing local flavored creation. The flowers and leis were the most beautiful, sweetest smelling creations I have ever seen. Laurie, Al and everyone associated with them truly recognize that this is your special day and do everything possible to make it perfect. We were so blessed to have chosen them to plan the happiest day of our lives!

We had a delightful, simple service conducted on a nearby beach. Loved the Hawaiian Aloha spirit in which the ceremony was conducted. Simply beautiful!

We did a Vow Renewal with Reverend Al and Laurie. Everything was perfect!! Laurie made all of the planning very easy. She knew exactly what needed to be done and took care of it before we even thought about it. Reverend Al made our ceremony unique and special. We plan on renewing our Vows every 5 years and Reverend Al and Laurie will definitely be who we go to! For a wedding or Vow renewal on Maui they are the best!

Laurie & Al are so nice, professional, great, and very trustworthy! They perfectly helped to make our wedding that we have been dreaming for a long long time come true. We can't say enough how touching and moving the wedding is. It is exactly what we have wanted and even beyond our expectation. Living in a different country and with busy work, we found Makena Weddings at the last minute (only two weeks before the weeding). Talking with laurie eased all the panic. I was even worried about the Haku Lei since I got that just before the ceremony. Obvious, I was over worrying. It's so fresh, so beautiful, perfectly fit my dress with all the rest of the wedding. Reverend Al was so great, talking about the meaning of the lei (we love the lei exchange), the ring, the love and the marriage. We both cried. It's the best experience you can ever have. We are still basking in the glow of our beautiful wedding...sigh

Laurie and Reverend Al are WONDERFUL! We can't say enough about them, nor could we ever thank them enough for making our wedding day so amazing and special.
They came highly recommended by a close friend. All it took was one meeting with Laurie to know that she was the wedding planner for us. I felt like I was meeting with a friend. It was instant...We knew that she really "got" us and understood what we wanted for our wedding.

Being a destination wedding, Laurie and I kept in close contact via email and regular phone calls. She is a busy lady...but, she was never too busy to answer my calls or address my concerns. She always made me feel like I was her #1 bride and that she always had time for me. Laurie recommended vendors to us based on our wants. Man, did she nail it! All of our vendors were exceptional!
Laurie is a perfectionist, she is detailed, very organized and she loves what she does.
She organized me, and that is no small task!

The day of the wedding I was a typical frazzled bride. Laurie was my calming force. She took care of me. By the time the wedding was rolling I didn't have a care in the world. I felt like I had a girlfriend with me all day making sure everything went off without a hitch. We had so much fun and no worries because Laurie took care of it ALL!
Our wedding was PERFECTION and the most epic day of our lives. This would not have happened without Laurie and Reverend Al.

Maui is a small Island...ask around. Laurie and Al are the real deal! Everywhere we went we ran into people who knew them...several would say that they had been married by this amazing couple. They always added how much they love and respect them.
We are so blessed and thankful that we found Laurie and Al. They made our day spectacular and exceeded our expectations in every way...we would not hesitate to recommend them to others. We love them!

My wife and I had a 25th anniversary renewal. Laurie handled all aspects of the set-up and communications. She was very responsive and flexible. She was able to adjust on the fly when the weather took a turn at the last minute. Reverend Al was an authentic Hawaiian presence who provided a thoughtful, touching ceremony. I would recommend them.

Laurie and Al are terrific. My husband and I couldn't have been happier about how our wedding went! I didn't have much time to plan before the event and Laurie made sure everything was taken care and went smoothly. The location was gorgeous, Al was charming, my bouquet was much envied.... Most importantly though, Laurie took all the stress out of the logistics so I could concentrate on my new husband and how happy we both were that day!!

Laurie and Al were truly amazing. Calling a different country, talking to a lady you have yet to meet, and not knowing what will happen as you are not there and are relinquishing control is a little scary. Laurie took the reigns, organized our wedding day, and when we arrived in Hawaii we met. They told us to relax and enjoy Mauii, because it was all taken care of. Al was the best, he prepared a beautiful and touching wedding . He even sang in Hawaiian during our ceremony.
I can't say enough about how perfect and relaxing our day was. Not one moment of stress. Laurie even made dinner reservations for us....after the ceremony.
I would recommend them 1000 percent. Thank you!!

We couldn’t have made a better choice than Makena Weddings. Reverend Al and Laurie Terry helped us throughout the entire process, from getting our marriage license to helping us select a wonderful secluded beach for our wedding ceremony. Reverend Al’s sincerity and humor created a causal and warm atmosphere. We love how he incorporated the Hawaiian traditions of the “Oli Aloha” greeting chant, and the lei exchange. We highly recommend Makena Weddings to handle your wedding too.

Working with Laurie was great. She responded to my many emails quickly and didn't seem to get annoyed :) It was nice meeting with her and her husband the day before to answer my questions and to make us feel at ease. I can't say enough wonderful things about Rev. Al and Laurie. They were perfect for our vow renewal. They invited us to their home the day after we landed in beautiful Maui, so we got to meet them and get acquainted. We celebrated our 30 year anniversary, and they have been married 38 years, so they knew firsthand what a milestone that is in a marriage. Extremely easy to work with ~ We had the photographer in place and the ceremony all set up on Makena Surf Beach, and due to Hurricane Ana making herself present a couple of days before, we decided to move the ceremony out one more day to make sure we had a beautiful sunset. Al and Laurie were so accommodating, we were able to move the ceremony a day and Laurie assured me that the weather would cooperate ~ Sure enough, we had our beautiful sunset beach vow renewal and the pictures were phenomenal. Al sang the Hawaiian love song to us and performed the traditional Hawaiian lei exchange ceremony. It couldn't have been more perfect and will be a memory that we will cherish forever.

I'm not usually one to write reviews BUT Laurie and her staff definitely deserve the recognition for the AMAZING job done. I was skeptical at first with even getting a planner as I'm very much a hands on person that organizes and makes almost anything from scratch.

But with the wedding being in Maui and me being all the way in Canada, I knew I had to get a knowledgeable local to help me. Boy was she worth it! From beginning to end, Laurie was sincere, courteous, warm, friendly, understanding and compassionate. I feel like I've made a genuine friend! Every detail was so well organized and professional executed. From the cake cutting with the perfectly timed sunset behind us to making sure I was well hydrated and remembering to relax. The vendors that she recommended and worked with at my wedding were very much like her as well. Everyone "working" felt like they wanted to be there as opposed to just being there for a job. I couldn't believe how great our day turned out.

Being very much a perfectionist in everyday life, I would even go as far as to say that the day went flawlessly. Makena Weddings was the best darn choice we made for our wedding! I would recommend Laurie to anyone that wants an amazing support person by their side on their big day! Thank you Laurie!

When we decided to get married in Maui we were at a loss of where to start until a friend recommended Laurie and Al at Makena Weddings. From our initial contact with Laurie we were confident we had found the right person to plan our special day. We gave Laurie our wedding colors and let her do her magic. She found the perfect venue at Kukahiko Estates. Laurie is extremely talented and if you give her "creative license" to look after everything from flower selection, table decor and decorations you won't be sorry. We literally showed up, stress free and got married. Reverend Al is so special as well. He made our ceremony very personal and still kept it light. We laughed & we cried....it was perfect. We highly recommend Makena Wedding to anyone planning to get married or have a special event in Maui. Lauire and Al are two of the most honest and kind people we have ever met!! A special thank you to Laurie and Al. They made our wedding special. We were married on Makena Surf which was a spectacular place that featured the ocean, beach, and rocks. Our sunset was awesome and our pictures were phenomenal. Al performed one of the best wedding ceremonies we ever witnessed and we felt so special to be a part of it. Laurie helped made everything easy for us including organizing a hair dresser to do my hair in my room and scheduling a photographer. She followed up with phone calls to check in before and after the wedding and offered suggestions on restaurants and activities. We will remember our wedding day forever. Laurie planned our wedding for us. Very scary planning all the way from California. She had every detail planned to a tee!!! Our day was perfect in every way. Al did are ceremony very special and very unique. Love them both and wouldn't trade our day for anything.

Our event wasn't a full wedding, but rather a vow renewal. Lauri and Al made it very very special for us. Al's ceremony was very personal and meaningful--you would have thought he knew us for a very long time. Lauri helped us manage other details such as the location, etc. She had a back-up plan in case of rain since it was in the forecast. Fortunately, we had the ceremony on the beach without bad weather and everything was just perfect. I couldn't have planned it by myself since I live thousands of miles from Maui, but with Al and Lauri it was a memorable experience. I hope to go back in several years to celebrate our 50th anniversary and bring along our children and grandchildren. We would hire Al and Lauri again!!

I cannot say enough great things about Laurie and Rev. Al. I was reluctant to have a wedding coordinator at first because I thought that since we're having a small destination wedding, it can't be that hard to plan...right? Well, luck had it that we were required to have a local coordinator because of the location we chose and welcome Laurie and Al. Don't let their laid back attitude make you nervous. Because when show time arrives, they are all business. Laurie makes things happen, the way you want it, or offers her advice or guidance when you're not quite sure. We bounced ideas off each other and I let her have free reign where I didn't really care. She doesn't let a single detail drop off her radar. It's amazing. Considering she's doing several of these ceremonies and weddings per week! There were a couple times when I had that panic-stricken moment of "Oh my god, I forgot _______." I emailed or called Laurie, and she had already taken care of it. Come the wedding day, I had nothing to think of save enjoying myself. Laurie made sure we got fed, had enough water (and alcohol) to drink, and that everyone had a good time. The vendors she works with are top-notch - and you get the bonus of having her husband, Rev. Al officiate!

Now onto Al...like I said, these guys are doing multiple/several ceremonies per week. You would expect people that do that to be dry, monotone, unemotional, and boring. If you asked me to only use antonyms when describing Al, that's what I would say. He makes the ceremony so special, romantic, fun, and all around perfect. He's such a warm, kindhearted person, I wouldn't have wanted anyone else to marry us.

As another bonus, their assistant Amie is PHENOMENAL. She's a jack-of-all-trades and a get-it-done type of girl. Love her! And she managed to snag one of the best photos of the night on her iPhone!!

I'm so happy to call Laurie and Al friends of ours now. You won't be sorry if you work with them for your wedding in Maui!

I had an absolutely wonderful experience working with Laurie to plan our special day. She is a very approachable person and eager to help. She gave us many great options when we had no clue even where to start and it made it very easy to pick a wedding & reception location that would work for us. I had no stress on our wedding day and I loved that we didn't have to worry about anything. Laurie even sorted out the flowers for our reception too and it looked so beautiful. I left my trust with her and it was worth it. She definitely knows what she's doing! Everything went off without a hitch. Al and Laurie were absolutely amazing!!! They made every part of the planning super easy. My new husband and I decided to come to Maui and get married with only about 3 weeks notice. Laurie was able to arrange everything I had requested in that short amount of time and everything was perfect. We had an amazing sunset wedding that couldn't have gone better!! We are so thankful to them for making our wedding something we will remember for years to come! Not only was Laurie amazing when it came to planning, she went out of her way to make us really feel comfortable and cared for during our stay in Maui. My husband I chose to get married in Maui, Hi as it is such a beautiful place. I sent out numerous e-mails to different wedding planners and Laurie from Makena Weddings was the only one that got back to me in a timley manner with a professional lay out of a quote.

Right away I knew that I wanted Laurie to help plan my wedding. I spoke with Laurie over the phone within a week of finding her on-line and felt that she was very warm, friendly, and over all pleasant to speak with.

Throughout the year that Laurie helped plan my wedding, she was always available to me and answered every question I had. My husband and I were lucky to have the chance to meet Laurie and the wonderful Reverend Al a couple months before the wedding, where Laurie set up for us to have a cup cake tasting as well as a tasting for our dinner. Everything was exeptional and made us want to get to our wedding day even that more.

The day of the wedding was absolutley perfect. Laurie made me feel like a princess. We started the day by getting pampered with hair and makeup, followed by getting our photographs taken before the ceremony. Everything went by right on time and had me walking down the isle even a couple minutes early.

This was the most unforgettable day for msyelf, my husband and our friends and family. Everyone commented on how organized Laurie was with all the staff, how accomadating everyone was. From the ceremony, to cocktail hour, dinner to dancing the night was magical. We had numerous comments that our wedding was the best anyone has ever been to.

I woiuld recommend Laurie from Makena Weddings to anyone. If I were ever to get my vows renewed I would go back to Laurie and Rev Al.

Absolutely wonderful people! Our wedding was completely stress free. We only had to show up dressed. Al & Laurie arranged everything (hair, make-up, photographer, video, venue, even dinnee reservations! They did so much & it couldn't have been more beautiful! From start to finish both Laurie and Rev Al were amazing. We luckily found them on the internet and from the first email we were sold. I couldn't imagine how much they took care of, you hear horror stories about weddings that couples plan in there home town and Makena weddings made it is simple while we were in California thousands of miles away.

They helped us with the littlest details. On top of that the photographer that they assisted us in finding as well is probably one of the best I have ever seen (Pearl wedding photography). I didn't know pictures of me could look so good.

To sum it up I am blown away by the services Makena weddings provided my wife and I. As a general manager for a restaurant I get hospitality and the importance of the intangible product of service. They hands down are amazing.

If you plan to get married in Hawaii I highly recommend Makena Weddings. If you are planning on getting married.... GO GET MARRIED IN MAUI!!!!!!!

Laurie and Al went out of their way to make us calm and relaxed on our special day so we could enjoy every minute. There was no stress leading up to the wedding thanks to Laurie and tons of laughs on the wedding day because of Al. We couldn't have asked for a better wedding day!!!!! Mahalo Laurie and Al!

My husband and I wanted to re-new our vows in a special way. We wanted something very small and romantic. We chose to get married in Wailea, Maui. We had a small party of six. We were staying at a very nice hotel but they could not accommodate such a small party so they referred us to Al and Laurie Terry of Makena Weddings. Laurie not only handled absolutely everything. Laurie picked out the perfect bouquet had referrals on anything I asked for...and she made our wedding dinner reservations...which were absolutely wonderful!!. We met with her and her husband Al, best guy ever, the day before our wedding and Laurie had a list (and map) of places to eat and visit during our stay. By the way Al makes a great cup of coffee with coconut cream!! We even joined them for dinner one evening. It was wonderful. Al renewed our vows and he was absolutely perfect!! It was romantic, serious and funny!! They picked a beautiful beach and referred us to the best photographer. The price for everything was absolutely reasonable. I can't say enough good things about Makena Weddings. Al and Laurie you are wonderful people! . Thank you so much for making our special day ..very special!! I would absolutely recommend Makena Weddings!!

Laurie and Al were unbelievable. We had a destination wedding in Maui and the day went perfect... even better than I'd ever dreamed of. I wouldn't call myself a bridezilla but I am pretty particular and I knew exactly what I wanted for my big day. Laurie not only made it all happen, she went the extra mile to buy napkins that she couldn't rent just to make our day that much more special and unique. I keep telling my husband I want to relive that day over and over again because everything was perfect and that was mostly due to Laurie's planning and expertise. From the first phone conversation we had, I could tell Laurie cared a lot about her brides and that she would take good care of me and of course she did! :) Thank you Laurie and Al!!!!

When Clayton and I decided to tie the knot and make it official in Maui, we didn't know where to start. Once we got connected to you, our worries disappeared and we were confident it would be looked after.

Arriving in Maui, we were delighted to meet the two of you, it felt like we had known you for years ... like old friends. We couldn't have been happier when you helped us choose the quiet cove we had dreamed of and to have the ceremony just before sunset. It was the most perfect beautiful time of our lives and you were part of it.

Laurie, your friendly kind nature has left a spot in our hearts, and Rev. Al you were amazing in all ways. Your warm words of the expression of love were sincerely felt and remembered always, as will your fun and sincere nature be forever in our hearts.

Not enough "stars" to adequately rate Laurie and Al. After 30 years of dating we decided to get married on a limited budget with no frills. Laurie and Al looked after us like we were a King and Queen right from our advance meeting, arranging a license right up to and including a simple ceremony on a secluded beach selected by Al himself. Would I recommend this vendor....absolutely, without qualification to all I know.

Laurie and her team planned my dream wedding! Everything was perfect. My now husband and I went to Maui a year ago to pick our wedding planner and venue. When we met Laurie she made me feel so comfortable and got my vision right away. We planned everything over the year with phone calls, emails, texts, and Pinterest. Laurie has great relationships with all the top vendors on Maui and everyone she chose did an incredible job! We got married at the Sugarman Estate with close to 100 of our family and friends from around the world and it was the best day of my life! The setup was even better than I envisioned...Laurie went above and beyond. From the wedding arch with a petal aisle to the clear tents with strings on lights and chandeliers...it was all executed with perfection. She even surprised my husband and I by getting us a six foot locally hand painted Seating Chart. It was so elegant and beautiful and I was so touched by her generosity. It was actually raining the day of our wedding up until I put my wedding dress on. Laurie had everything ready to set up as soon as the rain stopped and everything looked so perfect once I started walking down the aisle you would never have known it was pouring 20 minutes before. I am so thankful for the incredible wedding Laurie and her staff executed for us. IT WAS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL AND PERFECT!! THANK YOU LAURIE!!!!

Makena Weddings, is in our minds, the pinnacle of top wedding and event planners, they are truly the best, and it shows from their attention to detail and their genuine love for their brides and grooms and what they do.
We love Laurie and Al, and haven't just had the pleasure of working with them, but have gained friends in the process, whom we will I am sure try and visit every time we go back to Maui in the future!
Laurie was with me from the very beginning, planning, coordinating, organizing, contacting the vendors, and making sure all the details and big ideas came together. Through our conversations, she brought our ideas to light, and I trusted her enough to have free rein with some ideas of her own, which enhanced and added to what I imagined my wedding would be. I was completely comfortable and confident in her abilities, and I knew she always had our best interests at heart, no matter what anyone else suggested or requested. We had the perfect wedding, everything came together beautifully and I didn't have to wonder if a vendor would show up, or how everybody would work together, Laurie took care of everything behind the scenes and always had a happy smile when she came to check in on us to make sure we were happy and having the best day of our lives.
My only complaint is that there wasn't enough time!! Makena Weddings made our wedding so much fun that nobody wanted to leave after 6 hours of ceremony/cocktail/reception/dancing, that's how good they were, we could have probably gone for another 4 hours and never have known what time it was!!

Laurie, Aimee and of course rev Al were absolutely wonderful!!
I cannot express how much I love and appreciate these people. From the moment I found Laurie I knew I shouldn't look further and I don't regret a single thing.
A few years ago I stumbled upon a photo online of Rev. Al marrying a beautiful couple in Hawai'i and I thought how cool it would be to have him marry us, and just by luck we found him.
It's very impressive all of the little details Laurie tends to. For example, I ripped my dress trying to rush into it! And Laurie comes running in with Aimee and some double sided tape and also laced up my dress so that you couldn't see the rip at all!
For someone that does weddings all the time, Laurie makes you feel as tho there is or never has been another wedding ever. She definitely makes sure your wedding day is yours and yours alone. Watching her and her team work is quite impressive and professional.
My husband and I will always keep a special place in our hearts for the people at Makena weddings and will continue to tell everyone we know to please, if they want a spectacular wedding, vow renewal etc, to please go with Makena weddings. You will be so pleased and forever richer in love and happiness just for knowing Laurie, Al and Aimee. Mahalo. Until we meet again.

We simply turned our 50th anniversary vowel renewal over to Laure. Everything was perfect and went beyond our expectations. Rev. Al was outstanding, the music was all we could ask for and our video and pictures are forever memories. We most highly recommend Makena. All we had to do was show up and smile. Every detail was taken care of and we will treasure this experience forever.

Makena Weddings is the best when it comes to wedding planning in Maui. I live in Canada and knew that planning a wedding in another country would not be easy however I was wrong. Laurie Terry was there for me to communicate with her on a daily basis and was open to any suggestions or questions that I had. She offered up many different choices and provided wonderful recommendations for our day. The price was more than affordable for all the love and attention we received. Being so far away she made it completely stress free and I didn't worry about a thing. I honestly cannot say enough about how wonderful Laurie was as a wedding planner. She was so flexible with us when we arrived in Maui and needed to alter our plans and she just said "I've got you". As for Reverend Al - you just can't beat his Aloha spirit. All the love he has for life comes through with every word spoken. He put me completely at ease when I met him and I just knew the day would go off smoothly. He has this remarkable charm and passion that shines through his smile. Thank you Al & Laurie Terry for making our day perfect. I recommend these two to anyone looking to get married in Maui. They are wonderful people and do amazing work and I just love that I was able to have them share my enjoyment on our big day.

Laurie planned and delivered the fairy tale wedding that we had hoped for. In fact, she exceeded our expectations. My friends and family stated that the wedding was something that you only saw in a movie, and we were finally in one. We hired Laurie as our wedding planner for Sugarman's Estate in Maui, HI. On very frist day we met Laurie, She drove us around West Maui and South Maui
to pick a location. She was very insightful in terms of explaining the pros and cons of each location. beginning of the planning, my husband and I began to brainstorm various ideas for the wedding. We sent these ideas to Laurie who gave us suggestions when we ran into stumps. I am a very detailed oriented person, and I wanted every aspect of the wedding to be perfect. I gave Laurie my grand dream,
and she executed that plan to perfection. Imagine yourself looking at some amazing photographs online, and you think to yourself "I want this for my wedding."
After you do that a few times, you think to yourself that this might not be possible because it's so amazing to plan something that beautiful. Well, it did happen.
Laurie took those gorgeous photos and turned them into reality. She even added some extra finishing touches to make the dream even more memorable. We are so glad to have chosen her as our planner.
One thing to note is that we live in a fast paced society where we want e-mails answered right away. We had contacted her a few times very early on. She didn't respond
as fast we had liked, but remember that she has many weddings per week, so if you contact her 8 months in advance, don't expect instant responses. Just believe that your dreams
will come true, and they certainly will.
Laurie, from the bottom of hearts, Tony and I are grateful for everything you have done for us to make our wedding a fairy tale.
