TARA is the REAL MVP! Seriously! We could not have planned this wedding without her and sure as heck could not have pulled off our rainy day wedding without her either. Tucker and I are so incredibly thankful for Tara and how talented she is. We truly felt like she was our dear friend helping us through every step of the way. She knows her stuff and she gets it done while staying in great communication with you every step of the way. We really can't express enough how much you should hire this woman before she gets booked up! If you want a wedding planner who is communicative, on top of everything little detail (she's OCD about all of the little things just like me so that was a big WIN), cool, loving, and your biggest cheerleader then this is your girl! BONUS: Her husband was our DJ and I swear he made it the PARTY of the year. All of our friends couldn't stop telling us how insane our dance floor was and we even saw some asking for his information after the night was over! haha If you're tired of cheesy DJs and are looking for a cool one then DJ Holden It Down is your man! -

BEST Wedding Planner
WOW!!! I don't even know where to start with Tara Blackwell from Lotus Events. I first want to start by saying there would be absolutely no way we would have gotten through this time without her. Anytime I had a question (even 11 months out) she provided a quick response. As it got closer to the wedding, she made herself readily available to meet us or join us for meetings. This was extremely important since we were getting married outside of where we lived. I have been in many weddings who have wedding planners and Tara has hands down been the best. Even everyone in my wedding party, family, etc loved her and respected her. The way she can take charge and control of situations while still being calm and composed is amazing. It is exactly what a Bride needs on her wedding day. I think it is one of the main reasons I was able to remain so calm and still enjoy, even when our rehearsal was completely rained out and were unable to practice before the big day. I knew she had everything under control. I also cannot fail to mention how well she knew her stuff. There was not a question I asked where she did not have a well thought out and helpful answer. Also, another huge thing is my husband even loved her as much as I did. She was the perfect balance of both of us, so was able to communicate on both our levels which was great. I could seriously go on and on. If you have any question to book with Lotus Events, let me be the one to say, STOP here and do it! You will not regret it at all!

We had to reschedule our wedding several times due to COVID. That meant Tara stepped in to help us finish planning our wedding. She was amazing, flexible, and so helpful.
On the day of our wedding, she was exactly what we needed. My grandma was so thankful that we had such an amazing person to make sure our day ran smoothly! Our wedding went off without a hitch and I know we have Tara to thank for that. -

Tara is THE BEST! She's so easy to work with and on top of everything. I used her for month-of wedding coordination and am so glad I did. Her response rate is fantastic! Her best quality is her demeanor - she is so calm and down-to-earth it puts you entirely at ease!
For day-of coordination, Tara was at the ready to handle anything. About an hour before our ceremony was set to begin, an actual fire started in our reception area - she handled the entire thing before I could even stress out about it. (All was fine!)
If you need a coordinator (spoiler: you do), Tara should be your choice! -

Hiring Lotus Events was the best decision we made for our wedding! Tara was great to work with from the very start. She always provided her honest opinion and gave great recommendations based on her experience. She was available throughout the wedding planning process to answer any and all of my questions. She was a pleasure to work with. The month of she managed all communications to the many vendors we had, which took a lot of stress off of me! She was extremely organized and thoughtful in her process. We had planned an outdoor ceremony and reception with tents covering the reception area in case of rain. It started pouring minutes before our ceremony and our guests rushed to the tented reception area. For 15 or so minutes we were going back and forth on where we would have the ceremony and Tara was literally running from the ceremony site to the reception site carrying chairs and organizing the guests and vendors. The rain was not stopping so we shifted our schedule to allow for cocktail hour to be the initial event, followed by the ceremony (hoping the rain would stop). Tara quickly communicated the change to the vendors and guests and got everyone moving. As soon as it stopped raining, we rushed everyone down to the ceremony site to begin the ceremony. The whole schedule got shifted and moved around and it could have been a chaotic nightmare, but Tara handled it so well that everything ran smoothly and the night turned out better than we could have imagined (rain and all). I would highly recommend Tara and Lotus Events for any and all of your wedding planning needs! Tara really goes above and beyond! -

Tara is the BEST!
I cannot say enough great things about Tara! I knew from the start that I would not have the expertise, time, or desire to plan a large wedding, no less during COVID. She made planning a wedding seem like a simple task by taking the lead. Her communication with vendors, her availability whenever needed, and day of wedding assistance was phenomenal. Our day would not have been as magical if were not for Tara and Lotus Events. Thanks Tara!!! -

Tara is an angel sent from heaven on your big day!
Tara was amazing. She is sweet and bubbly but also knows how to get to work and get the job done. We had a photography disaster 2 weeks before our wedding and she swooped in quickly and saved the day by finding us someone so last minute. We really can't thank her enough for making our day perfect. -

We hired Tara with Lotus Events to help plan our wedding. She is incredible at what she does, and she made our day so perfect! Tara is super professional, yet approachable. Tara is amazing! If you are searching for a planner look no further! We went with her standard package and she went above and beyond those services. Tara was quick to respond to all of my (many) questions and made herself available to jump on phone calls too. When COVID hit, I was very anxious and unsure what to do. Tara eased my stress and calmed my anxious heart. She handled all vendor communication - making sure everyone was ready to go still. She provided relieve each time we spoke/saw her. When the big day arrived, I knew everything was going to be great because of Tara. On the day of she was in/out and managing all the moving parts. Our wedding day was beyond magical and we couldn’t be happier choosing Lotus Events. Tara is truly a rock star and made not only our wedding day stress-free but the weeks leading up to stress-free too. Thank you again!! -

Tara Blackwell is the absolute BEST wedding coordinator out there! From the moment we booked with Lotus Events we felt immediate peace during the whole planning process. Tara was always available to take my phone calls no matter what time of day and always made us feel like we were her top priority. I loved how confident she was in her abilities and she truly handled everything like a pro! I ended up getting a virus the morning of my wedding and she made sure to take care of me, while also handling literally everything else! She also made sure to check on us often to see if we needed anything at all during the busy reception. The day of the wedding couldn’t have gone more smoothly and it was all because of Tara! If you are in search of a coordinator Tara and Lotus Events is the way to go! I could go on and on about how amazing our wedding day was and I give all the credit to Tara. Above expectations in every aspect!! Tara was accessible and responsive to every detail leading up to, during and after my daughter’s wedding. She worked so well with the venue, catering, music, the photographer, the Cakery ppl and too many to name! I would highly recommend and will use Lotus again for another event. Her experience and advice proved invaluable when we were stuck on options and she came in with marvelous advice! She was definitely my daughter’s and my go-to! Loved working with them, very professional. It started to pour rain right before the outdoor ceremony and they managed the transition to the chapel seamlessly and efficiently in lock step. They missed nothing. -

Tara is the absolute best wedding coordinator in the wedding industry!! My wedding was the most stress-free day of my life thanks to Tara. One of my best friends works in the wedding industry and had suggested hiring Tara because he claimed she was the best coordinator he had ever worked with. He was 100% accurate because she truly is the greatest. She never ever made me feel like just another client, but really made me feel special. She cares deeply about her job and she is so dang good at what she does. We hired Tara as our day-of coordinator and if our budget allowed, we hands down would have hired her for the entire planning process. She even came with me to my final walk through and was so meticulous in making sure she knew exactly what I wanted. Her services were the best money spent out of all the wedding expenses and I truly mean it. I was able to enjoy my entire wedding and have an absolute blast because I knew Tara would take care of anything and everything that happened. All of my family members even couldn't stop talking about how wonderful she was! As soon as the wedding party arrived at the reception venue, Tara found my husband and I with drinks in hand for us and made sure catering brought up food for us before our grand entrance. While I was dancing, a part of my bustle broke and within a minute Tara was right there with safety pins fixing it. If you are considering hiring a professional coordinator, you will never regret hiring Tara - you NEED her! I loved working with her and without reservations would recommend her to any and every bride. Thank you for everything, Tara - you are a brides dream coordinator! -

Tara is the BEST!!! I had her as a month/day of coordinator and I'm so glad I did. She made sure I hadn't missed any important or minor details. The day of the wedding, while I was busy getting ready, she completely made sure all the vendors were on time and taken care of. I vaguely discussed with her how I wanted the reception area set up and left the rest up to her. It was above and beyond anything I could have dreamt of!!! That whole way was a breeze and its all thanks to Tara! -

From our first consultation with her, we immediately felt more comfortable knowing she was on top of all the thousands of details that go into a successful wedding day. She gave us a timeline of when we needed to complete certain tasks and was always available for feedback. But I think our deepest appreciation came on the wedding day itself. That is when Tara especially shines! Her attention to detail and ability to work with so many vendors and moving parts allowed us to relax and just enjoy the day. Throughout the process, Tara remained positive and upbeat, which goes such a long way to making our big day a smash - which it was! -
