We worked with Lori Amery at LJ Events and she is a big reason why our wedding day was the best day of our lives. When we first met Lori, we were feeling extremely overwhelmed and found it difficult to balance our work lives with wedding planning. We explained our vision to Lori, and she helped to organize everything and to keep us on track so we were meeting all of our vendors' deadlines. Crucially, she also thought of the details we would have completely overlooked without her. And day of, she kept everything moving so smoothly, ensuring everyone was in the right place and that we got all the pictures we wanted. She made sure we had no stress on our wedding day. I would HIGHLY recommend Lori and LJ Events to any couple that is feeling overwhelmed or stressed about wedding planning -- Lori really helped turn chaos into a dream for us. -

Working with Jamie from Lauren James Events was truly one of the best decisions made for my daughter's wedding. Over the two year planning process was an exceptional experience, and nothing short of perfection. From the very beginning, she approached every detail with thoughtfulness, precision, and an extraordinary level of care. She didn't simply plan a wedding, she brought our daughter's vision to life in a way that was deeply personal, beautifully executed, and completely seamless. As a very involved mother of details and bride, I deeply appreciated the way she welcomed me into the process, with grace, respect, and genuine collaboration. She created and environment where every voice was heard, while always guiding us with at steady hand and clear expertise. Managing a bride/groom, and two families is no small task, yet she handled it all with professionalism, patience and ease.

Where do I even begin? Words will never be enough to describe how incredible Jamie of LJ Events truly is, or how my wedding would have never become the weekend of our dreams without her.
My husband and I can honestly say we had the best weekend of our lives because of Jamie. Nothing — and I mean nothing — would have unfolded the way it did without her. She made the entire experience 100% stress-free and turned our wedding day into the most magical, seamless night imaginable. 🥹 Every single guest, family member, vendor, and friend commented on how amazing Jamie was and how flawlessly she took charge and ran the show.
From the moment we contracted her, Jamie handled every single detail with unmatched professionalism, calmness, and heart. She connected us with all of our vendors, scheduled and attended every appointment, guided us through each decision, and responded instantly to every call, text, and email. She built a timeline down to the minute, kept everything running perfectly even when we fell behind, and ensured our rehearsal and wedding day were absolutely flawless.

Everyone warns you to expect a bunch of things to go wrong at your wedding, and that you should just go with the flow. But if you hire Jamie, you won’t have to worry about even the smallest things going wrong.
I could not recommend Jamie enough - it was truly the most incredible experience working with her throughout the entire planning process! She connected us with the absolute best vendors in the Philadelphia area (who ended up being the dream team for our wedding weekend). From day one, Jamie was available whenever we needed her, always quick to hop on a call, answer an email, or talk through even the tiniest detail until we felt settled.
She took the time to really get to know us, understand our vision, and stay mindful of our budget, and then somehow made it all come to life even better than we imagined. She is unbelievably organized, has amazing relationships with every vendor we worked with, and is clearly so respected in the industry which made the whole experience even smoother.
Hiring Jamie as our planner allowed us to actually enjoy the process, taking away every ounce of stress and never once making us feel overwhelmed. By the time the wedding weekend arrived, we didn’t have to think about a single thing. She handled everything with the calmest energy, and the day was completely seamless and absolutely incredible.

We were so impressed with Lori at LJ Events. We got married at the Philadelphia Museum of Art in November 2025 and LJ Events helped us throw a spectacular event. Lori was so organized, responsive and was always thinking of the next thing to do or item needed in planning while never us out and keeping us calm throughout the process. I could not think of better planners to have along side such an important day. The cost of LJevents is worth every penny - and every vendor we worked with thought so highly of them - great reputation! -

Working with LJE feels like having your best friend guide you through one of the most exciting (and sometimes overwhelming!) experiences of your life. Jamie was with us every step of the way, from finding the perfect venue and vendors to shaping our vision and flawlessly bringing it all to life, all with so much knowledge, positivity and enthusiasm. She made us feel heard, worked within our budget, and helped us navigate differing opinions from family, all with calm, confidence, and creativity. She somehow always knew exactly when to step back and let us handle things, and when to jump in at the moments we didn’t even realize we needed her. Somehow, she always found a way to make everything happen! That kind of magic only comes from someone with incredible experience, heart and strong industry relationships. It’s so clear how respected and loved Jamie and her team are by EVERY vendor they work with, and trust me, from what I learned through the process is, YOU WANT THAT. Having LJE on your side is truly a game changer.
The attention to detail, organization, and calm energy Jamie brings made the entire process not only stress-free but truly fun and enjoyable. Every little thing (and trust me, there are so many little things) that once felt overwhelming suddenly became effortless with her guidance. On the wedding day itself, everything ran seamlessly. We were able to be fully present, soaking in every moment, knowing she had everything handled perfectly behind the scenes. And what you hear is true, it really will be the best day of your life and will go by way too fast! Having someone there who allows you, your partner, and your family to be completely present and soak in every second is something I didn’t know I needed, but now I can’t imagine it any other way. You actually get to live the day, be with all the people you love and take it all in. It’s beyond worth it.
Our wedding and the lead up was beyond what we could have imagined, and we owe so much of that to Jamie and her incredible team. If you’re looking for someone who truly cares, listens, and gets genuinely hype for you and your partner (like a best friend!), works within your budget, and delivers beyond expectations, LJE is the one.

My daughter recently got married and we hired Lauren as our wedding planner. Hire Lauren as your wedding planner. Every detail from hair and make up starting at 7am, food and drink for the bridal party, first looks, photography, videography, bands, flowers, you name it, was coordinated and choreographed to precision. Every detail was handled seamlessly. No frustration. No exasperation. No raised voices. Kindness, coolness, laughter and fun describe both Lauren and the spectacular day she gave to the bride and groom and their extended family and friends. Working with Jamie over the past year and 10 months planning our wedding was a DELIGHT. Jamie has the best energy, knows all of the best vendors, and truly is a professional in all aspects. Every single person we worked with echoed this sentiment as well, which truly means a lot. I never once questioned her knowledge or ability to help execute my (very particular) vision. My wedding was truly the happiest, most fun, and most stress free day of my life because I knew that Jamie would handle everything (even when our first look location permit was canceled the day before). We literally jumped up and down together when we saw the venue set up. I probably told Jamie 100 times I would not have survived planning this wedding without her. Anything you need, Jamie will handle it and there is NEVER a lack of communication. You will never stress about a deadline or setting up a meeting with a vendor. Their professionalism was beyond compare! They answered all emails quickly and always with excellent information. They were spot on with everything!! They are excellent in reading the client; knowing what the client wants and needs. Am excellent judge of character. Which is very helpful when planning your wedding! They understand you and knows how to steer you in the right direction.
Money has never been more well spent than hiring LJ events! Without a doubt, they were the reason we were able to fully enjoy our wedding journey! My daughter and I were 100% confident that everything was being handle and handled perfectly with them. It was because of them, that we did not have one sleepless night! We had complete peace of mind! And we’re able to have the most incredible wedding experience!! To top it off, the day of the wedding was seamless!!!!! And even if it wasn’t, i didn’t know! Because they took care of it without me ever knowing! Again, they were truly the most worthwhile money we spent throughout our whole wedding journey! Peace of mind is priceless!!! -

I recently worked with Jamie Nadeau for my wedding and I cannot say enough amazing things about her and her team. From start to finish, Jamie had an answer for all of my questions. Jamie helped us to stay on top of everything right from the beginning, including helping us to secure some of the best hair, makeup, videography, invitation, and photography services in the Philadelphia area! As we got closer to the wedding date, Jamie provided us with the most organized and helpful timelines and checklists. She made sure we stayed on track and on time for all deadlines, and continued to answer any and all questions we had throughout the planning period with patience and grace. She is so knowledgeable and has a solution for everything. In the week leading up to the wedding, Jamie helped to guide me through all of the final details and made sure to cross all of the t’s and dot all of the i’s. And on wedding day, she was truly amazing, as was her team. She made sure that everything went absolutely perfectly and she perfectly timed the entire day. I was so calm and happy the entire day, all because I knew Jamie had every single detail under control. She also managed to wrangle a very chatty 16 person wedding party, and keep them in check the entire day. During the ceremony, Jamie continued to make sure everything went perfectly, and was there at every turn to make sure we were having the best time. Jamie truly created the best night of my and my husband’s lives, and she was such a joy and pleasure to work with throughout the entire experience. I will truly miss working with her, and I genuinely cannot recommend her enough. Run, don’t walk to secure Jamie as your planner! -

I can't rave enough about LJ Events! I worked with Jamie for a year planning the wedding, and Lori joined the team 2 months before the wedding for final planning and day-of coordination. Both were absolutely incredible. I used their full service wedding planning package and could not recommend this more highly. They are so professional, organized, attentive, and all around wonderful! They made my life so much easier every single step of the way. Anytime I had a question or concern, no matter how small, they made themselves available and came up with solutions. They were so on top of every single piece of the wedding and made it so easy for me to just have fun and be present once it came time for the wedding. Because they were involved from the very beginning, starting from the time I booked my vendors and set my date, they truly understood what I wanted the day to look like and made it all come to life while taking the stress off of my plate. They were able to offer wonderful vendor recommendations that fit my vision and budget, kept me on track with helpful timelines, managed coordination across my vendor team, and made me feel like I had an advocate with unparalleled knowledge every step of the way. Throughout the wedding weekend, everything went so smoothly thanks to them - they were so on top of every moment of the day and managed every single transition so efficiently and calmly - and what's more is they felt like family there to celebrate with us! We hired Jamie because she did such a great job with a previous wedding - and we're so glad we did!! Wedding planning was absolutely zero stressful for me and my husband because it was all so smooth and easy with Jamie. She helped us with everything, from picking the best venue for our vision and guest list to literally packing everything up on the wedding day and bringing it back to our bridal suite that night. She made a timeline for to do items and she also made a day-of timeline -- which was so helpful so we felt so on top of everything. I cannot say enough good things about our experience. There are so many things we didn't realize go into planning a wedding and she is so honest and helpful with what she thinks is worth the cost and what may not be. I also literally cannot imagine what our actual wedding day would've been like without Jamie - she made sure everything was running smoothly and my husband and I didn't have to worry about anything and just got to focus on celebrating and enjoying the big day. I don't even know where to begin. From the start working with LJ was great. So easy to communicate with and they are ready to help. Lori was our 3 month planner and day of coordinator at Hotel DuPont September 28 2024 and I couldn't give a better review for her. She is on top of EVERYTHING so helpful and truly one of the best people I have ever met. She made our wedding so perfect and no stress at all. She handled everything so well, made the most detailed timeline and ensured everyone stayed on time. From start of our rehearsal the night before to the start of our after party Lori was there whenever I needed her. She truly was an angel sent to help me on my wedding day. We first heard of Jamie and LJ Events through a cousin who rescheduled her wedding 4x with COVID and raved about how smoothly the process was (every time) because of Jamie so as soon as we booked our date, we reached out. I cannot recommend her enough, from the very first meeting, she put us at ease. Even though we mainly had her for "month of," anytime we reached out with a question she was so responsive and helpful! The day went so smoothly all thanks to her. My mom, bridesmaids and I were able to really enjoy our morning because every single detail was taken care of perfectly! So professional and easy to work with, she made our wedding planning so much fun and enjoyable! I cannot recommend Jamie enough, she is the best!!! -

10/10 Experience with Lauren
We hired Lauren to be our month-of and day-of coordinator for our Water Works wedding on May 6th. Once we were a month out from our wedding day, Lauren spent HOURS on the phone and on Zoom calls with me going over every contract, proposal, and detail of our day. She helped me make some final changes and decisions as well. Lauren quickly became acquainted with our Cescaphe event planner onsite at Water Works, Lexi. They worked well together and had joint calls to ensure that we were all on the same page. She touched base with all of my vendors as well. Her extensive knowledge and expertise was critical in making our day run smoothly. She came up with a day-of timeline, hair and makeup schedule, every single detail regarding our on-site ceremony, timeline for the reception, photo list for the photography, trolley schedule, and so much more. Lauren and her team took care of every detail throughout the night from making sure that our flip flop baskets were being refilled to ensuring that our restroom baskets were moved from the cocktail hour to our reception space. At the end of the night, they took care of counting all of our cards, securing all of our gifts, and gave us a detailed checklist of where everything is and what we took from the reception such as our photobooth album, signature drinks signs, our ketubah, and everything else that was dropped off at the venue for the wedding day. For the longest time I was stubborn and wanted to "do it all myself", but hiring Lauren was our best decision. At the end of the night, I remember telling her and her assistants that, I really don't know how we would have done it without you guys today. Everything ran smoothly because of Lauren and her team. Thank you! -

The best!!
We started working with Jamie almost a year and half before our wedding. She was by our side for every step of the process and quickly learned our tastes - she knew what we would like/not like before we did! We read what felt like 100 reviews for different wedding planners before we found Lauren James Events (specifically, Jamie and Lori!). In retrospect: all that research really paid off.
We were in great hands with Jamie in the months leading up to our wedding, with no question too big or too small. As our date drew closer, we experienced a seamless transition to Lori, our equally skilled month-of planner.
Personable (immensely likable!). Knowledgeable. Responsive. Efficient. Smart. Perceptive. Detail-oriented. Forward-thinking. Lori is all of these things and more. She proved to be a steady infusion of calm on a chaotic day, and exactly what we needed to be able to relax and truly enjoy the day.
Lori’s depth of industry experience translates to an unmatched ability to work with a broad range of vendors, create and execute a timeline, corral what appears to be 1,000 moving pieces, take the unexpected in stride, and ensure a once-in-a-lifetime event goes off without a hitch.
If you’re looking for a seasoned team with recommendations for everything from where to take photos around the city (and the permits you’ll need to do so!) to how much to tip each vendor, LJ Events sits a cut above the rest. We are so grateful for their patience, flexibility, unflagging energy, and determination to make sure our wedding was everything we dreamed of. It was, with Lori and her assistant Alex keeping our sanity and senses of humor in check along the way.
Lastly, coming from someone who debated whether or not she needed a planner: it doesn’t matter how comprehensive your own Excel sheet is. Your planner will think of everything you didn’t know to think of and free you up to spend more time soaking it all in. LJ Events is the best in the business – we highly recommend their services! -

I couldn't recommend LJ Events and Jamie enough! Jamie was instrumental in my entire wedding process, from start to finish, and I couldn't imagine my wedding going as smoothly as it did without her help. Her attitude throughout the process was so positive and she was a constant voice of reason throughout all of the decisions that I had to make. Not to mention, she has an amazing attention to detail and great opinions so was very helpful to have her help leading the charge. When my husband and I got engaged, we interviewed a few wedding planners before making a decision on who to partner with for our big day. As an event & conference planner myself, this decision was very important to me. After meeting with Jamie, her expertise, knowledge, creativity, proactive nature, and detail-oriented approach set her apart from other planners. I was confident from day one of her ability to execute our dream wedding. With the pandemic, we navigated obstacles, finding a new date and rescheduling our contracted vendors. Jamie was there every step of the way, supporting us (sometimes even emotionally) and assisting with renegotiating contracts. During the planning process, I could go to Jamie for any question related to our wedding and ancillary wedding events ( i.e. the bridal shower, bachelorette, welcome party, rehearsal dinner, brunch, etc.). We would frequently schedule last-minute calls with Jamie for advice on something and she was very accommodating. We always felt like her main priority. It was clear that she was invested in our big day and making it perfect. She made a stressful process, a fun process for my family, husband and I! She kept my Mom and I organized and on track with our deadlines too to ensure we were accomplishing everything we envisioned. Her recommendations, guidance, preferred vendors, and ideas helped create our dream day. On our wedding day, I truly don’t know what we would have done without her! My husband, family and I said so many times on the wedding day, ‘what would we have done without Jamie?!’. Jamie worked incredibly hard to make our day special and ensure every detail was in place. The vendors and details that came together the day of our wedding were spectacular. Through Jamie’s guidance, we had the “A Team” of vendors for our day. The wedding was beyond my expectations - it was perfect! When I needed Jamie, she was by my side, making sure I was happy and everything was going smoothly. We had so much we wanted to do on our wedding day, and Jamie ensured that we were able to do all of it! There is not one thing I regret or would change about our wedding. We had the best day of our lives and were incredibly lucky to have Jamie in our corner. I am so appreciative that I had Jamie making everything happen for my husband and I exactly as we dreamed. I was referred to Lauren James Events by a friend of mine who had worked with Jamie for her wedding. I was skeptical about needing a planner at first, but my friend was adamant that they were indispensable and that she couldn’t have gotten through the wedding planning/day without them! Now being three weeks post-wedding, I can say that I 100% feel the same way. I worked with Jamie for “month-of” services, but from the start, even six months out, Jamie was ready and willing to help. She was always extremely responsive to my emails and calls, and kept me and my husband on track throughout the process. As the wedding day drew closer, Jamie was on top of coordinating with all of our vendors and I never felt overwhelmed or unorganized as a result. But without a doubt, I could not have gotten through the wedding day without Jamie. She made sure the day went off without a hitch. My husband and I truly did not have to worry about a thing - we did not need to watch the clock, corral family members for photos, or remember any last minute details. We were able to actually sit back and enjoy our wedding day from start to finish. I cannot rave about this company enough - they are great people and true professionals! -

Our wedding day would not have been possible without Lauren James Events, specifically Jamie. Jamie met with us multiple times before the wedding to discuss how the whole day would plan out, and provided suggestions and support when figuring out all of the vendor coordination for our special day. She was always very responsive over emails and helped keep us organized with her amazing checklist, photo list, and day-of timeline. I cannot recommend Lauren James Events enough, they are absolutely amazing. There are not enough adjectives or terms of endearment to express how truly amazing and helpful Lauren and her team was throughout the entire wedding planning process, especially on our big day. Unfortunately, due to Covid we had to not only move our wedding date a few times, but also our venue, and Lauren stayed on top of everything the entire time. Without her, I truly do not think we would have been able to successfully celebrate our special day. She made sure everything was perfect and that our big day went smoothly. If you are having a wedding and hiring a planner, you’d be wise to go with LJ Events! They are worth every penny and more! -

Hiring LJ Events was the best decision we made!
The best decision my husband and I made throughout the entire wedding planning process was hiring LJ Events as our full service wedding planner. From the start Jamie was incredibly helpful and diligent in contacting all of the venues and vendors we were interested in. With her knowledge and expertise in the industry we were able to seamlessly plan our May 2020 wedding. As it would turn out...that wedding did not happen due to Covid-19 and Jamie, without hesitation, went on to help us replan our wedding 3 more times with multiple venue changes. With her impressive coordination and communication skills we were able to secure almost all of our vendors for our new date(s) and venue(s). We can’t thank her enough for her invaluable advice and guidance during that time of immense uncertainty. In the end we wound up with two amazing wedding days that wouldn’t have been possible without her. On both the day of the micro wedding AND the larger wedding reception my husband, myself and our families did not have one thing to worry about because Jamie had everything so organized and well thought out. We cannot thank Jamie enough for all of the hard work she put in over the 2.5 years that we were lucky enough to work with her. We truly consider Jamie a friend and would recommend her and LJ Events to anyone without hesitation! -

Do yourself a favor and hire LJ Events immediately! It will be the best wedding decision you make out of the millions of things you need to do to plan a wedding! LJ Events helped plan my cousins wedding and in this time of Covid was no easy task! They had to postpone and reschedule their wedding FOUR TIMES! LJ Events was there to help, assist and re-coordinate all of the vendors and details over and over again. Not only was Jamie helpful and supportive she was also heartfelt and sincere. The bride could tell that Jamie felt the pain she felt and truly sympathized with all she was going through.
Long story short, my cousin and his fiancé had to create an entirely new wedding. They had to find a new venue, new florist, a back up photographer, cut the guest list by 200 people to name a few. This stressful process often left the couple relying solely on Jamie's recommendations (i.e. the band who was AMAZING) to select vendors and move on to the next task. Well, the newly created wedding I just attended a few weeks ago completely blew me away! It was nothing short of MAGICAL! The most beautiful, intimate, and special wedding I've ever been to. I know Jamie put so much heart and soul into this wedding and it showed. I know how grateful my cousin and his wife are to Jamie and LJ Events and I know how rare is it to meet a team like this. I'm in the wedding business myself AND when I got married 5 years ago my wedding planner was an absolute nightmare. She made everything more difficult for me and caused me so much unnecessary stress! My wife and I worked with Jamie & Lauren at LJ Events for our wedding and honestly could not imagine our day without them. With all the money that gets spent on the wedding day, the wedding planner was easily the best money spent. Now looking back, it would have been extremely silly and detrimental to the outcome of our wedding day to have not hired any wedding planner, but more specifically Jamie & Lauren.
From months out, their attention to detail is unrivaled. Their constant interaction with you calms you knowing that while you may not know everything or have thought of everything you don't need to because you have them. They stayed on top of everything pre-wedding, including important details you couldn't dream of thinking of. When you thought their value couldn't get better - they will blow you away the day of. Our wedding day could have easily spiraled at the first sign of "disaster" and while they can and will put out each and every fire - they don't even allow one to spark. They kept the day lighthearted and fun - outside of about 15 minutes of family photos we felt zero stress the entire day. They really allow your wedding day to be what you dreamed of your whole life.
We felt like we knew Jamie & Lauren for years and it's really a testament to their business and their personalities. It's more than just a business transaction for them; they treat your wedding like it's their own and they just know what needs to be done and they do it before you even realize it needs to be done. They are both incredible and they eliminate all the stress you may be feeling so you can truly enjoy each and every small detail you spent months on and enjoy your wedding day without having to be your own wedding planner throughout the event.
Don't for a second think you can do this day without them - you can, but you won't enjoy your wedding. You cannot be your own day of planner and neither can your mom or dad or your sister or your photographer. Just do it. Hire LJ Events - then sit back and relax knowing that you just nailed the most important decision regarding the wedding outside of choosing your life-long partner.

Working with Jamie to plan our wedding was probably the best decision we made. She made the process so easy and took so much work off of our plates. She was able to recommend vendors, arrange meetings and relayed anything we wanted done to our vendors - even arranged our meetings with vendors. Jamie payed attention to every detail and was on top of everything! When planning our wedding with her I felt like I could ask her anything about the wedding process, not just wedding detail questions. Lauren and Jamie are truly outstanding professionals to work with in all aspects of wedding planning. I hired them because one of my best friends was one of the most organized and best brides that I had ever seen on her wedding day. I can not even put into words how amazing Jamie is , she made my wildest dreams come true through her numerous connections and she was ALWAYS ready with a suggestion when I wanted another “WOW” factor or when I had a dream she made it a reality. On the actual day of the wedding I swear she was a magician .... she had everything down to a science and under control I did not stress once. I left the most important day of my life that I had been planning since I was a little girl in her hands and she made it PERFECT. I can not say enough about her , I miss talking to her! Jamie Nadeau: Simply The Best
Maybe you'll be lucky enough to hire Jamie for your event. Our daughter's wedding was simply perfect and she is largely responsible. While the bride and groom live in Philly, both sets of parents are out of town, so this was a destination wedding for us and most of the guests. I thank our lucky stars every day that we found her. Lauren James Entertainment was the number one wedding planner recommendation of every wedding venue we toured and after one initial telephone conversation it was easy to see why. We worked exclusively with Jamie, who is delightful; knowledgeable, professional, experienced, warm and easy to talk to. Honestly, she left no stone unturned. Even though our wedding was a year and a half out when we hired her, and in the beginning she had clients with more pressing needs than ours, we were always made to feel that we were a priority. The wedding was scheduled for a holiday weekend and Jamie helped us to secure some of the city's most highly sought vendors promptly so we wouldn't be closed out. Early on, Jamie worked with us in establishing and organizing our parameters - number of guests, style of reception, meeting with the bride and groom to talk about their vision and expectations. She listened so well to us in our initial conversations that her recommendations were spot on. She created meeting and planning timelines with our vendors as well as a meticulous spreadsheet of expenditures. She helped us establish wedding blocks at area hotels for out of town guests and kept track of the bookings so we knew who was staying where, and she assisted us in planning events for the wedding weekend. She attended vendor meetings along with us and took scrupulous notes, and worked with us to negotiate contracts She advised as to where we should be spending money and did not hesitate to steer us away from the things we didn't need. In the week leading up to the wedding she worked every day making sure everything we expected came to fruition. She created the welcome bags for out of town guests and delivered them to each of the hotels. She surprised the bride and groom by having their room upgraded to a phenomenal suite. On the wedding day, Jamie never left our side - in the bridal suite beginning early morning with the bridesmaids, orchestrating the hair and makeup people, the photographer and videographer, lunch delivery for everyone, rode the wedding trolley with the bridal party to the bride and groom's first look and photos, at the venue for formal photos, and once at the venue, managed the catering staff and band so that the timing of everything ran smoothly. We actually had to beg her to take a break and eat dinner. I've never seen her lose her cool and as a result, the bride and groom and their parents were able to relax and simply enjoy our family's wedding. Weddings are highly emotional occasions, but thanks to Jamie the only emotions we experienced are tears of joy, and total elation. We cannot thank her enough -

Not sure where to begin with Jamie and LJ Events. From the day we met Lauren and Jamie until 2am at the conclusion of our wedding’s after party…and still, now, 5 weeks later…we have been ranting and raving to our family and friends about our wedding planner. More than just the actual planning itself, but the timely, friendly, FUN, and professional way they conduct themselves in the event planning industry. To say that wedding planning would have been survivable WITHOUT Jamie is a blatant lie (and not just because she also served as my wife’s therapist for the last year). Beyond giving us a list of the best vendors, setting up – and going to – those meetings, Jamie led us through the wedding planning process in a way that we can only describe as perfect. On the day of our wedding, everything was seamlessly executed and beyond our wildest dreams. To date, beyond the décor/food/music/atmosphere, our family and friends continue to talk about the timing and the flow of what we consider the best day ever. The fun/elegant/party vibe that came through with LJ Events at its backbone is something we will never forget and can’t thank them enough for. The best decision I have ever made (aside from saying yes to my husband) was choosing work with Lauren James Events as our wedding planners. I am a very detail oriented person and live for a good to do list but we knew we needed a wedding planner from day one and so it was a priority to seek out the best. LJ Events came highly recommended and exceeded our expectations. From the first day we met both Jamie and Lauren- it was like planning with my best friends- they completely understood our vision for our wedding. I knew we would be a perfect fit. Within hours we had signed our contract and began working with Jamie. We explained what we were looking for, for our wedding and Jamie quickly provided us a list of recommendations for vendors tailored to our taste and budget. She was beyond helpful with setting up appointments, listening to our pro and con lists and assisting us with finding who would be the perfect fit. Jamie's responsiveness (seriously, minutes), professionalism and attention to detail constantly amazed and impressed me. Jamie attended many of our vendor meetings and helped us to make the right decisions- to see what we wanted and needed and to help clarify our vision when it sometimes blurred. As the wedding got closer, Jamie and I would meet to discuss any outstanding items on our fluid to do lists and to just relieve the stress that comes with wedding planning- I would leave these meetings feeling like I had just come from an afternoon with a friend (which she now is) and with all of my to-do's checked off. Not only were LJ Events a key part of our wedding planning, I would be remiss to fail to mention the day of. My husband had been side-planning with Jamie for months to give me gifts each hour of the getting ready day. Jamie handled that so seamlessly on top of making me the calmest, happiest bride there has ever been. From the time Jamie and Lauren arrived I knew I was putting the best day of my life in the most capable hands. I did not worry about anything (and I did not need to)- everything was taken care of and if anything came up, I still do not know about it. We are so lucky to have worked with LJ Events for our wedding and could not recommend them more. -

Julie Sent on 10/04/2018First of all, understand that I am incredibly picky with (sometimes) impossibly high standards. I rarely feel compelled to write reviews because most times I am left disappointed in some way with contractors and vendors.
Not so with Lauren James Events.
My daughter first learned of LJ Events from a friend of hers who married a few years back - a wedding that was featured in Bride’s. So when my daughter became engaged, she consulted with this friend about vendors. Jamie from LJ Events was at the very top of the list.
This particular wedding was difficult to plan because I am located in CA, the bride was in NYC and the wedding was in Philly. Because of this, there were so many things that popped up that I did not anticipate in the months leading up to the wedding, but Jamie did. And that made what could have been a very stressful time for me much less so.
Details are what make a wedding weekend the most memorable and Jamie has the details down to a science. But what stood out the most was Jamie’s willingness to go WAY above and beyond what was required. From hunting down a lost wedding certificate and replacing it to hauling a bunch of last-minute purchases to the hotel – and when I say a bunch, I mean completely filling up her SUV – to never, ever being thrown off her game and being a constant calming presence when hurricanes were threatening (literally) and venues decided to rip up floors right before the wedding. She is what kept me sane.
Bottom line, Jamie and LJ events are hands-down the best wedding planners and I would not hesitate to recommend them or speak to anyone about their services. You not only will not be disappointed but completely blown away. Use them.
