It is NO exaggeration to say that Kuuipo hands down saved my wedding. After dealing with MONTHS of difficulties with our venue in Paia, Maui and losing our original wedding planner weeks before our wedding with no notice, my husband and I were at the end of our rope. Not only are you legally required to have a coordinator for every venue on Maui, but we were 5 WEEKS OUT when our original planner up and left us and we had no one to turn to. We were recommended Kuuipo and called her immediately, and not only did she listen to our plights, agree to take on the absolute MESS we were dealing with and HEAVILY reassure us that her and her team would take good care of us, she also freaking DELIVERED. She wrangled our vendors, handled communication with our venue, provided emotional support during the time leading up, answered every phone call no matter what day, and was a joy to work with. I've attended and been in my fair share of weddings before and never have I seen a planner be as efficient, kind, flexible, adaptable and reliable as Kuuipo. Plus her team was just as wonderful as she was, and never once during my wedding day did I feel pressured to make decisions or handle anything because Kuuipo and her team made sure to deal with any issues that came up internally or turned to our bridal party for answers, not the bride and groom. She embraced my creative (and eccentric) vision of what I wanted for our decorations and set up and never made me feel like I had to change how I wanted things, and her and her team executed the layout and design perfectly. I felt like our wedding was in loving hands, which was worth it's weight in gold after the year and half we had of nightmare planning. My only regret is that I didn't hire her sooner! Do yourself a favor, especially if you're a local family, HIRE KUUIPO WEDDINGS. It'll save you soooo much time, effort, tears, frustration, stress and overwhelm because Kuuipo and her team were seriously a 100000/10. -

To start off we would like to thank you so much Kuuipo.Our day would not have been possible with all the help and dedication, you have given us.
Kuuipo is the best at what she does.She made planning our wedding so smooth and stress free. Her energy and positivity is what you need in a wedding planner/ coordinator. She definitely listen to what our vision was for our wedding. She handled all our vendors and explained to us all the details very well. She's very patient and understanding. We only got good things to say about her because she had executed our wedding so perfectly.
There isn't a lot of wedding planners here on Maui that understands and works well with the Locals.We are so happy we found her. Her vibe and her personality fit so well with us.She made planning our wedding so easy.She alway reassured me that were so far ahead and that we don't have anything to worry about.
If I can leave one thing on this review.I would like to say that for any future couples planning a wedding..Please consider hiring Kuuipo.You will not regret this decision.
Once again Kuuipo thank you so much for everything. You really exceeded our expectations and this was the best day ever. We truly appreciate all you have done for our Gazmen Wedding!! Till the next event!

I cannot express enough how grateful we are to Ku'uipo and her team for making my daughter’s Maui wedding an absolute dream come true. From the moment we began planning, she was attentive, professional, and truly dedicated to ensuring every detail was perfect.
The coordination of the entire event, from managing details and communucation with the venue and the caterer, to the smallest décor details, was executed flawlessly. Ku'uipo took the time to understand my daughter’s vision and helped nudge us in things that weren't on our radar. The communication was excellent, and we always felt informed and at ease throughout the process.

Our wedding day was flawless thanks to our amazing coordinator Ku'uipo. Her and her team were organized, communicative, creative, and ensured everything ran smoothly. Her calm presence and attention to detail were exceptional, making our day stress-free and unforgettable. She even had a plan B for us if the weather wasn't going to cooperate! But luckily we didn't have to use it. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a perfect wedding! -

Kuuipo is professional, helpful and fun. We had some challenges along the way (as weddings, especially destination weddings, do) and there’s absolutely no way we could’ve done any of it without her. She kept us calm and positive through out the planning process and the outcome was nothing short of magic. She even managed to get us a rainbow during the ceremony. 🥰 We cannot speak enough great things about Kuuipo as a professional but also as a person. We love her! My only complaint is we don’t get to talk as often anymore. 😉 -

Mahalo nui loa, to Ku’uipo Weddings & Events for being an essential element to the magical memories that were made on our wedding day (and week) in Paia, Maui.
My husband and I went back and forth for nearly a year on where we wanted to have our wedding. Through my random research on The Wedding Wire, I found The Surf Club Events venue and reached out. I was soon connected to a consultation call with Ku’uipo. As it aligns closely with our mutual values, if we were to find a venue in Hawaii, we agreed it needed to connect to native and local vendors as much as possible. Ku’uipo is not only a seasoned, well-experienced event planning professional and business owner, she is also a local girl through and through with strong and reliable vendor relationships all over the island. Without her willingness, her network, and her organization, amongst many other things - we would have been very lost.
As the bride, I knew I would naturally need to take on the majority of the load of planning for the wedding but was extremely overwhelmed with how to do it all from another state. Ku’uipo walked by my side throughout the whole process for the quick 5 months we planned. Any time I emailed or called her with questions, additional requests to add to the wedding - she helped me with an open heart and excitement. No matter the timeline challenges, needing to be creative with our budget to make my visions work, or communication issues with vendors - Ku’uipo kept our well-being and our experience as the bride & groom as top priority.
Ku’uipo was our rock throughout our planning and the day of our wedding with fantastic communication, authenticity, and island lightness. She even was knowledgeable and respected the cultural dynamics and aspects of my Filipino family’s traditions and values throughout our wedding. It felt like family with Ku’uipo. Through the care of Ku’uipo Weddings & Events, my husband and I were welcomed to the island, which was not our own indigenous roots, yet felt very much like home during our special time to unite our families and community.

My wife and I recently got married on July 20th in Paia, Hawaii. Prior to planning our wedding, we knew we wanted hire a planner that met these criterias:
- Hawaiian local and native (very important)
- Flexible with budget
- Outstanding reputation
This is where we found Ku’uipo. From the start, I didn’t think we were the most difficult couple to work with, nor the easiest, but I’m sure that our requests were deemed quite challenging. We initially gave her a budget to work with in which she worked around to the best of her ability, told her that our wedding wasn’t your traditional wedding - where there was a huge bridal party (only one Best man, and one Maid of Honor), intimate dining experience, and unorthodox events. It was also an offering that when working with Ku’uipo, we could have it at this venue in that area; Surf’s Club Tacos. Beautiful venue and so we went for it. There was a slight issue with the venue itself that made us very stressed out the week of our wedding, but Ku’uipo walked us through a plan and process about the whole situation - reassuring us that everything was going to be okay. I’m pretty sure if we had worked with tha venue alone, we wouldn’t have stayed with them and most likely reached out to Ku’uipo regardless.
All to say that Ku’uipo really went above and beyond to make sure that all of our requests were met. She’s made a lot of good calls by suggesting a few vendors to be at our wedding such as ‘The Catered Coconut’. This was probably one of the best calls made to have at our wedding pre - reception dinner. Not only that, the coconut juice was DELICIOUS. It was a big hit with everyone.
Up until the day of the wedding, Ku’uipo has gone above and beyond to ensure that we were updated, taken care of and stress free. There was a slight scare that there would be a rainstorm the day of our wedding and has laid out a back up plan in case we needed to seek shelter ( luckily it wasn’t needed). When it got to the day of the wedding, Ku’uipo and her staff were ready to receive us and take care of business. When the ceremony was happening, there was a moment where the leis were supposed to be with the best man, but the handoff didn’t quite happen yet. Ku’uipo realized it, and she was quick. It was a moment, but it was funny and lighthearted - which was nobody’s fault. Fast forward to the reception, Ku’uipo made sure we were fed, and we had our cups filled, and there was no worry in the world. She really did have our backs and treated us like one of her own. In another lifetime, I am pretty sure we would work with her again.

Kuuipo and her assistants were all amazing. Very friendly, attentive, and organized. I loved the planning process of the wedding but I definitely needed the extra help during the actual wedding, and kuuipo weddings and events was well worth every penny spent! -

Ku'uipo was able to plan and execute my ceremony on the fly with only a weeks notice she got everything in order for me I didn't have to worry about anything.
She was very professional and she explained and answered my questions before I even needed to ask any. I highly recommend her if you want the weight of planning a wedding off your shoulders.
She even stepped in at the last minute as my photographer.

Best decision ever!
Kuuipo was a blessing to us! With under 4 months to plan the wedding of my dreams, she confidently executed everything that needed to be taken cared of. She understood our vision and went beyond our expectations. Her team was also absolutely amazing!! There was a traffic accident that happened on our wedding day which halted everything, but Kuuipo was prepared with a backup plan. She showed us so much compassion and supported whatever we needed during that hectic moment. In the end, everything worked out beautifully the way it was meant to be.
