I don't think I would've had a successful wedding without Kara. My mom and I consistently look back on the day and remember Kara as the backbone to the entire event. We booked the package that helped with some of the details and colors in addition to day of coordination and I can't recommend this package enough. Knowing I had someone to bounce ideas off of while planning with colors and flowers and with such great experience on how to make this day come to life was such a relief with planning. I actually miss talking to Kara because of how comfortable I was calling her up about whatever problem I had leading up. She was so communicative about if she had another wedding and would be unable to respond for a weekend and always answered if she was available. I could not recommend her enough and seriously wouldn't have had even a quarter of the wedding I had without her. She is simply the best. -

I would give Kara Cardinal a 1000/10 for her wedding planner services without hesitation! From the moment we met her we were greeted with the warmest smile and feelings of comfort that she has got us on our big day and leading up to it. Some of the things we were looking for in a planner were their niceness/ability to get along with us and others, their organization, their affordability, and their quality. We read reviews of Kara and her team which gave us comfort using her. This is why I’m here today to tell you to book Kara Cardinal! She is nothing but the sweetest and most organized planner out there! Her price point was absolutely perfect as well considering the amount of work she did for us. On my wedding day everything happened behind the scenes without me being involved. Kara made sure I was not bothered and got to enjoy my entire day. Her planning application was absolutely amazing and made it so easy to keep track of anything. First biggest piece of advice is to hire a wedding planner and second piece is to hire Kara Cardinal and her team! Couldn’t have done my wedding day without her, thanks again for everything Kara. Hoping we’ll have another event where we get to use Kara again! -

Simple Elopement on Marco
I couldn’t recommend Kara and her team more! From the first conversation to the last she was professional and thorough in answering all of my questions and concerns. I enjoyed working with Kara and Ashley in creating a simple yet beautiful elopement exactly how I had imagined. They both made us feel welcome and like we were already friends. I would like to recommend Aimee Rossi for photography 5th Avenue Florist for florals. Both were easy to work with and accommodating to our needs and wants. We hired KC Weddings & Events about three months before our wedding date, and from our first call, we knew we would be in GREAT hands with Kara. The day wouldn't have run as smoothly without Kara's knowledge, professionalism, positive attitude, and impeccable attention to detail. Our experience with Kara and her associate planner, Ashley, was a 10/10. Kara helped plan our wedding in Naples from Canada, giving us expert advice and numerous fabulous vendor recommendations for linens, steaming services, glassware, photo booths, etc. Kara's associate planner, Ashley, also designed and printed all of our signage for our wedding, which turned out to be more beautiful than imagined. Kara truly cares about bringing the bride and groom's vision to life, and she was just as excited about our decisions as we were, making her such a pleasure to work with. We truly wanted to feel like guests at our wedding, and she handled the day's logistics, planning, and overall schedule like a seasoned professional. We wouldn't have been able to enjoy the day as much as we did without her. KC Weddings & Events exceeded our expectations. Unbelievable
There are no words to describe Kara, except she is amazing. I’d never thought of a wedding planner but the moment we spoke I knew she was the right person to help me. Me, and now my husband were just planning on going to the courthouse to get married, we were expecting our baby boy in the summer and didn’t think we would have time to create a small wedding in a short time window. We thought of certain dates having meaning and 2/12 was the number we wanted. It landed on a Monday and the date was approaching fast we thought it would be impossible to plan something in such a short amount of time but Kara made the impossible possible. The best decision we ever made was hiring her. She took over everything and it was so easy for us. She took our vision and made it a reality. We had a great small wedding on the beach with our immediate family. It was perfect. We are so grateful for her, for all she did and how quickly she made this wedding happen. -

KC planning understood how I vision my day. We gave them a few inspirational pictures and you recreated exactly how I would have done it myself.
I didn't have to worry about anything at all, everything was perfect, all the little details, the timeline, etc.
I think KC Wedding planning was the perfect planning company for our needs, we were looking for a day of coordination, and you both exceed our expectations.

I hired Kara and Ashley to be my Day-Of coordinator and I couldn't have been happier with my decision. From our initial meetings, Kara and Ashley were extremely professional and helpful with the wedding planning process. Although I did a majority of the planning myself, they still happily lended me their knowledge and expertise, and I was grateful! Their planning portal was quite useful, and they even helped me when I was having technical difficulties.
Fast forward to the month of my wedding, Kara and Ashley completely took over the planning process. They handled vendor communications, made sure timelines were finalized and that all vendors were up to speed, and organized my rehearsal. I basically just showed up wherever/whenever they told me to, and it was perfect! On the day of my wedding, I didn't have to lift a finger. I got to sit back and relax on my day, and let Ashley guide me from one event to the next. Ashley was completely in charge of making sure we were sticking to the timeline, and she ensured the whole day ran smoothly, which it did! We did run into a small hiccup of rain RIGHT when my ceremony was supposed to begin, but once we figured out a plan B, Ashley was right there redirecting our vendors and making sure my new ceremony space was set up beautifully and in a timely manner. The rain barely set us back, and it was incredible how efficient Ashley was!
I am so glad I made the decision to hire Kara's team for my Day Of coordinator. They took all of the wedding day stress away, and allowed me to fully enjoy my day and be present in the moment. Do yourself a favor and hire their team! -

We had the best time!!!
We got married at the Naples Grande and did the ceremony on the beach and reception inside which required a ton of coordination/logistics that Kara did a fantastic job handling! There is no way we could have been able to do it without her!
Kara's also very well known in the Southwest Florida market and has great recommendations for any type of vendor you would need.
Kara provided significant guidance on everything from large items to the tiniest details that I never would have thought to consider.

Brendan and I had the pleasure of working with Kara and her team for our beach wedding that took place on February 12, 2023. Kara was fantastic from start to finish and we couldn't recommend her enough. We hired Kara for the year-contract as we were planning a destination wedding to Naples, FL from Toronto, Canada. There was a lot of planning involved over zoom and Kara tied everything together perfectly to create a dream wedding that brought in sentimental aspects for all family members. I truly apricated how caring, thoughtful, and relatable working with Kara is. I loved how she was upfront with my parents and able to pivot through the many challenges that faced our wedding, including a Hurricane that whipped out our original beach venue and changed our date. Her vendors were also incredibly kind and caring towards us and able to meet our needs and discuss our vision over zoom. As others have said, Kara does a good job of aligning your vision with the resources she has in Florida. Kara was always available to chat, very organized, attentive, and kept on top of details we missed. I loved working with her so much that I asked her to officiate us! She did and it made the day so much more fun and special for me. Because our date had changed (hurricane took out our original venue) I asked Kara to come back to see us to sign our marriage licence two days later on February 14th. It was so thoughtful of her to come back and I can’t thank her enough! -

KC Weddings and Events was the best investment we made for our destination wedding! Living in Michigan, it was intimidating trying to coordinate a wedding across the country. Kara put my mind at ease every step of the way and was extremely accessible to answer my questions in the months leading up to our big day. The week before in our coordinating phone call, Kara pointed out a few small details we may be missing (card box, cupcake stand, etc.) and had these items available to rent from her own personal inventory which was extremely helpful! On the day of the wedding, we had some wind issues which did change up some of the plans in terms of décor, table settings, etc… however I did not have to deal with any of this headache and Kara handled everything gracefully behind the scenes so I didn’t have to worry about a thing on the day of the wedding. She bustled my dress (which the hook for the bustle broke at some point in the day by the way, so thank goodness for her nifty sewing skills to save the day before my father daughter dance!) I would highly recommend Kara and KC Weddings & Events to anyone looking for a kind, helpful, professional, organized, and extremely talented wedding coordinator! I am so thankful we chose Kara to help us on our big day! Thank you for everything! -

KC Weddings & Events got a 10/10 in my book. Back story, we had our wedding January 9, 2022 at the peak of omicron. So many things changed last minute. I’m talking guest count going down by 50 guests 2 weeks before the wedding. We lost a bridesmaid and a groomsmen the day before the wedding due to Covid. Had additional guest show up that had not RSVPed and so much more. Let me tell you, we could not have done it without these amazing wedding planners. We personally had Brian as our wedding planner. And he killed it. All our last minute changes were challenging but he absolutely took them head on. It was a huge piece of mind knowing he was there to help with it all. Our reception space turned out STUNNING, they took our vision to a whole new level. Every detail of the wedding day was taken care of. They absolutely exceeded all expectations and we were so happy that we hired them! Thank you guys for everything! -

We hired Kara as our wedding day coordinator (and then added on postponement services d/t COVID) and also hired Kara for design/planning for a pre-wedding event. Our pre-wedding event was a traditional Vietnamese tea ceremony and although Kara has never been to one, she embraced it. She enthusiastically helped with rentals and other design touches. She nailed it!
Since day 1 (sometime in 2019!), she went above and beyond. She never rushed the calls and took time to learn about who you are and your vision. I did have a misunderstanding with a vendor and Kara advocated for me. We successfully reached a solution that worked for everyone. She went to bat for me and I'm so appreciative of that. She cares. On my wedding day, I noticed Kara threw in a few extra touches to help complete the design/look/feel. Thank you!

Where do I start with Kara! From before we even officially hired her, she and I clicked immediately. She is so incredibly attentive, sweet, talented and easy to get along with! The thought of even planning a wedding before I had her gave me panic attacks. Having Kara along the way helped us relax and made sure everything was set for our big day. Kara is the absolute best wedding planner you could ever hope for. She helped us not only plan our wedding, but our destination wedding when we were on the other side of the country. I want to start out by saying that Kara is an ANGEL. This amazing, hardworking women helped me plan my dream wedding during a pandemic, which is no easy task. She was there for every freak-out (there were many lol), vendor meeting, design-related details, or just a shoulder to cry on (there were also many of those). She made my entire wedding planning process, which lasted almost an entire year, so easy and alleviated as much stress as she possibly could from me. She put together the most beautiful design plan for me, a flawless timeline, coordinated and recommended the BEST vendors in our area, and made my wedding day stress-free. She was even willing to round up my pups during our wedding (along with 10000 other things she had to do) so we could have our fur babies included in our wedding. Pretty sure she still has scratch marks/leash burns from trying to control 2 50 Lb dogs- now that is some freaking dedication. Kara- I adore you and will always be thankful that I had you on the most important day of my life. -

Planning a wedding is stressful! Adding on COVID, travel restrictions, and our wedding being far away (we live in DC but our wedding was in my dad’s backyard in Naples due to COVID) made us realize we might need some help, but how do you choose the right person? We did some searches on google, theknot, etc and came across Kara and her positive reviews. We had nothing but positive experiences from the very first email! Wedding planners might seem like something you don’t need if you’re on a tight budget but trust us, Kara will take all the stress away from the process so that you can actually have FUN with the planning and more importantly, the actual event. Kara was professional, timely, helpful, extremely knowledgeable, and had a wonderful relationship with the vendors to make sure we got what we needed. She is also fun to be around and made every step exciting for us. She even let us throw some curve balls her way as late as the day before the wedding (we decided we NEEDED a keg after all our drinks were mysteriously gone after the rehearsal dinner and she said no problem!). If you’re considering hiring a planner, LOOK NO FURTHER! Hire Kara and her team and you will not regret it. -

First off, thank you Kara for all that you did for us and our wedding! Kara was absolutely awesome. She from the start explained to us what we needed, examples, what she can do, how we can meet, created last minute meetings to meet our needs, concerns, or questions. She took care of reminding us or “Reminding” me of what are the items we orders, planned, or agreed on because I was just too consumed with other every day items, there is just absolutely no way I could focus on planning my own wedding without her. I would have been bridezilla or worse. She helped to turn me into anything but that. She even helped with putting all pieces where they belonged on day of wedding, in the middle of the wedding bring my daughter juice, even helped with doing a Zoom so family and friends who could not attend could at least can virtually attend our ceremony, and helped with my dress so I could be more comfortable, and even picked up everything after the wedding. She never let me lift a thing up. I appreciate all she did and HIGHLY recommend her if planning your wedding. -

My wedding was August 1, 2020, and yes I am one of the many covid brides who found herself planning and incredible day that slowly began to shift as we approached wedding day. Kara was my wedding planner and I can say with full confidence that hiring Kara was the best decision I made for my wedding day as I was preparing. Not only was she there every single step of the way with planning and coordinating, she was my encourager, my supporter and truly became my friend. By the time we reached wedding day, I felt that Kara knew me so well that I was not concerned about any issues or questions would arise, because I knew she would be able to make a decision that truly reflected what I would have wanted out of my day. Kara was not pushy or aggressive in her approach. She was honest when I asked for her opinion and professional in her mannerisms at all times. I don't think I can thank her enough for her help, guidance and support for my wedding day. You will not regret hiring and working with Kara; and I highly suspect that you too will feel it was one of the best decisions you made. -

We had our wedding on 2/22/20, and I reached out to Kara the Lead planner two months prior to help plan our wedding. I was set on a small wedding so two months was a good time frame. I couldn’t help my self and went with a larger wedding then the original plan of 30 guest. Kara is very experienced and has great relationships with many vendors for all of our special request and location options! The day of our wedding she made it so easy for me not to worry about anything even fighting the wind! (We had an outdoor wedding) she made sure that any issue that occurred was fixed like the wind breaking a center piece and her driving to a near by store to purchase materials to fix it or even the venues dance floor breaking and ordering a dance floor the day of. Hiring Kara is a must! If I was planning our wedding alone it would have been so stressful especially the day of our wedding!! She is the sweetest and worked her butt off on top of officiating our ceremony. -

We are so very happy with the choice we made on our Day of Coordinator because Kara was more than just that!
Kara was a huge help each step of the way- from her credible vendor recommendation list to kick start the planning process, through each productive meeting, all the way to the big day - Kara was 100% organized and made the entire process smooth & seamless.
Our wedding was a bit challenging in the fact that our venue was just a piece of land (no building, restrooms, etc) we had to bring everything in ourselves. I don’t think this would have been possible without Kara. She easily recommended & coordinated with all of the vendors to have my day of vision come to life & exceed my expectations! She kept the night flowing effortlessly & handled every situation with ease. Kara is a reputable planner with great vendor relationships.
I can’t thank or say enough about Kara & her professionalism. We will absolutely use her again for any future events & you should too- you won’t be disappointed! -

From the moment i said YES, to when Hurricane Irma ruin our first venue, and then when her husband Brian found us the most amazing wedding venue, till my wedding day literally sweeping my husband and I off our feet... Thank you to Kara and Brian for their work during our wedding! We originally were planning on having around 25-30 guests at our parents house in Marco Island and figured we wouldn’t need a coordinator or planner.. Once that escalated to 52 people we decided to reach out for help and found KC Weddings, and they stepped in seamlessly to where we were at in our planning and got started. Kara is so responsive and available for any questions you may have. She has a wealth of knowledge regarding the wedding planning process and gives great advice to those (like us) who didn’t know what they were doing. We had a unique venue, in that we got married at my parents house out on their dock, so Kara made sure that we had everything we needed (from tables, chairs, silverware, everything for the caterer/kitchen, glasses, napkins etc - the things a “typical” venue would provide). She helped us with the design and flow of the wedding as well which was perfect. On the day of, Kara and her team were there helping with whatever was needed, and it was so appreciated. Even if you are having a small, home wedding like us, HIRE Kara!! It truly made our wedding day stress-free, knowing someone else was handling the vendors/timeline/decor/set-up/breakdown. I would highly recommend KC Weddings and Events to anyone planning their big day! I had the pleasure of working closely with Kara the 2 months prior to our wedding. I purchased the most basic package as I didn't have many vendors to coordinate, but needed help and peace of mind for the day of the wedding. While Kara was technically only really contracted to help me a month or two before the wedding, she always made herself available to me if I had any questions, and keep in touch with me regularly through the several months prior. She really became a friend during this time, and now I'm sad I don't get to see of talk to her anymore 😢. She really is fantastic! And I have to give a shout out to her hubbs who came (sprained ankle and all) at the end of the wedding the video our bubble exit and give it to our videographer so that we didn't have to pay extra for more hours with my videographer. Our wedding was everything we dreamed of and more, THANK YOU KC WEDDINGS AND EVENTS!!❣️ -

We went into the wedding planning thing with the mindset that we could do it all ourselves. As things starting rolling I realized that I would not be able to relax and enjoy are special day this way. We hired Kara for partial planning and she went above and beyond! This was the best thing we ever did. We actually got to relax, enjoy our guest, and have fun. Kara made sure that we had everything we needed and then some. I can not say enough good things about Kara. She went as far as enlisting her husband to build us a donut wall for our donut favors. Melissa Sent on 03/17/2015I hired Kara and Brian literally 27 days before my wedding day. I knew that I needed someone to help me on-site the day of the wedding, as the last thing I would want to do is get ready as well as run around making sure everything is set up correctly. Kara and Brian were just PERFECT! They both came to my rehearsal the day before and were excellent with taking charge and making sure everyone needed to be where they were supposed to. On my Wedding Day, Brian managed my day for me and he did an amazing job! My reception room was beautiful, the ceremony site was beautiful, he was so wonderful to me and my family. He also took on the brunt of questions from my family members and my Father thought he was great (which coming from him, is a BIG DEAL!). I truly lucked out with this amazing wedding planning couple! Their prices are extremely reasonable, they are incredibly professional, and they completely set my mind at ease on my wedding day. I was able to relax and the day turned out PERFECTLY. Hire them with confidence - you won't regret it! :) -

KC Weddings and Events = the best
Kara and her team were awesome through my entire wedding planning process. She was on the ground as my eyes and ears in Naples, and I could have never gotten everything I wanted to get done from afar without her! She knew how to make things happen, and even when I wasn't clear on something or changed my mind, she was there to make quick adjustments and give me peace of mind. I'm so glad I chose to have a planner, and she was just what we needed for our day. -

Kara was a huge help in the pre planning process of my wedding planning. She was also very helpful referring us to vendors for ideas/concepts that we liked from Pinterest finds. Kara was also helpful day of the wedding keeping the logistics and flow of the wedding on point. In hind sight I wish I would have more detailed on how I wanted the day of time line to go and where I wanted certain decor items to ensure my vision was fully executed. -

We chose to work with Kara Cardinal based on a positive initial consultation and high expectations for support throughout the planning process. Unfortunately, our experience did not reflect the level of guidance, organization, or advocacy we expected once challenges began to arise.
One of the biggest concerns involved our ceremony venue. Important condition-related issues were not identified early, and when concerns were raised, we did not feel adequately supported or advocated for during conversations that required solutions and leadership. Communication also became inconsistent during moments where responsiveness mattered most.
As planning continued, we increasingly felt that responsibilities falling within the planner’s scope were being pushed back onto us, which added unnecessary stress during an already demanding process. Rather than feeling protected and guided, we often felt we were managing critical issues independently.
At that point, we no longer felt confident moving forward and made the decision to terminate services.
Wedding planning is not just about managing timelines when things are easy — it’s about how challenges are handled when problems arise. Wedding week is when couples need strong advocacy and communication the most, and unfortunately that was not our experience.
We hope this review helps future couples ask detailed questions upfront about communication style, conflict management, and how venue-related issues are handled before making a decision. -

To put it bluntly, we had a terrible experience with Kara. Essentially, it seemed like Kara wanted us to follow a prescripted plan for how she likes to throw a wedding and when we made slight variations to that plan, she mentally checked out. Our view of a planner is someone who provides advice, aids in coordination, and helps overcome obstacles. Many times we felt as if Kara was actually working against us because of some perceived slight that we hadn't followed her suggestion(s). Here are a few defining examples (of many) we experienced:
1. Caterer - We ended up selecting one of Kara's recommended caterers (Frisco's - who we loved). To give you some context, we live in Atlanta and hosted the wedding in Captiva, FL, so we felt a trip was in order for a meet 'n greet & to make sure all vendors were on the same page. We personally handled the coordination regarding everyone's availability with the exception of the caterer (Frisco's) since all communication had be flowing through Kara up to that point. We gave Kara the date we were looking fly down and asked her to check with Frisco's about their availability for our tasting. She gave us the green light on that date and flights were booked. Fast forward several weeks and we find out that, in fact, Frisco's was on vacation during that time. When we called Frisco's it appeared that they had never been contacted or coordinated with. I was prepared to let the cost of the rebooked flights be water under the bridge as long as the overall experience was a positive one, but (obviously) that wasn't the case. On top of that, our tasting didn't include the food we had requested due to more coordination issues. I'll get to the cost of the flights later...
2. About 75% of our emails with a request for information or coordination had to be followed up on. Normally, I'm okay with a certain amount of follow up. I've had busy weeks before where I fell behind, so I get it. What really rubbed me the wrong way was the reaction to the follow up. Most times, we were told "I already sent that to you." I can understand if there was a large attachment or maybe even some sort of bad internet connection here and there. But this is email we're talking about. One of the most trackable methods of communication there is. So to be told repeatedly "I already sent that to you" as if WE were the one at fault got a bit old after the 3rd or 4th time.
3. The day of the event - We were cautiously hopeful going into the big day that Kara's strengths lied in day-of coordination. Boy, were we wrong about that and, to be fair, we should have seen this coming a mile away. During the time my fiance was supposed to be spending with his groomsmen, he was instead in full panic mode helping his sister, father, and three close family friends figure out what goes where and answering questions from with vendors. Days after the wedding, we were told that the vendors thought that his sister was the actual wedding planner because Kara was often nowhere to be found. If it weren't for the five of them selflessly giving several hours of their time, we would've had major major problems. Halfway through the reception, the bartenders ran out of ice. I'm no expert on weddings, but this seems like the type of thing a planner would help with. Instead, three of our guests left the party to buy ice from a restaurant down the road. On one hand, I'm so thankful to have friends willing to help where it's needed and on the other I'm a bit embarrassed by the fact that Kara didn't handle that.
To cap it all off, when we brought up the rebooked flights, it turned into an hour long conversation about how they didn't think they were responsible for the error even though it was right there in black and white. The conversation ended with her husband telling us that we should be thanking them for giving us a credit for their mistake.
