“We want you to have EVERYTHING you want!!” Katie would say this to me thru out the planning and execution of our wedding. This is the best way I can introduce the Katie Brooks team – they truly did EVERYTHING to give us EVERYTHING we dreamed! Hiring Katie and Anna Blue was absolutely the most important decision my husband and I made. I’m the mother of the bride and it is my honor to write this review. It’s been 60 days since the wedding day, and I still get chills when memories swirl in my head! Each of every memory would only have happened with the amazing creativity and expert coordination of Katie and Anna Blue.
My daughter got engaged right before she was moving for a new job in Nashville, TN. Her fiancé was working in Roanoke, VA. And we wanted to have the wedding in Charlotte, NC. Needless to say, we were starting this process with some unique challenges! Then, my daughter and I chose a venue which would require all vendors to be hired individually. We quickly realized we needed help, so I started interviewing coordinators. In our first phone call, I instantly felt a connection to Katie! Her enthusiasm and energy were a perfect match for us and our needs. When we met Katie and Anna Blue in person at the venue, the inspiration board they created allowed us to see the beginnings of what would ultimately be a wedding event that perfectly reflected the personalities of our daughter and son in-law.
Once the mood had been chosen with colors and overall concept, Katie and Anna Blue secured the vendors that would make the wedding event spectacular! They keenly matched us with vendors who would understand the physical vision we hoped to achieve. I craved the look of draping vines and lights to create a lush and romantic feeling. This was extra challenging in that the venue had restrictions on hanging items from the ceiling and the walls. Katie was determined to construct it regardless of the hurdles. She worked with the florist to design a custom sculptural installation of vines and flower stems that showcased the head table and served as the inspiration for the overall floral scheme. Then, Katie worked with the rental company to design a tent plan that perfectly complimented the patio area for the cocktail hour and thru out the evening. To achieve the final look, Katie designed a brilliant arrangement for the dining and dancing areas with such precision and creativity, the venue simply came to life! She and Anna Blue completed the design with beautiful table dressings set apart with handmade stationery and stunning accessories that captured the candlelight and florals just right. Katie’s dedication to deliver our vision was the key to setting the scene for a romantic, intimate, family and friends extra fun celebration!
Dinner, photography, and music were also extremely important to us. Katie encouraged us to consider a family style dinner with a caterer she thought would be our best option for a sit-down meal. Working with this caterer was a dream and we never would have found them without Katie – she has developed lasting relationships with vendors who deliver nothing but excellent quality, artistic talent, and personal care for their work. This was also the case with the photographer and the DJ. Both of these professionals seamlessly joined in our celebration while guiding us thru the event taking the greatest of attention to capture all the special moments Katie knew we wanted. The vendor team Katie and Anna Blue put together and led that day helped us give our daughter and son in-law a wedding event blessed with love, laughter, celebration, and magic! The most amazing people to work with!
My husband Andrew and I got married almost two months ago now, and it has taken me this long to write a review because I cannot get over how absolutely magical our wedding weekend was - and so much of that is due to Katie, Anna Blue, and team!
Let me start at the beginning. Shortly after we got engaged in April 2023, I got to work to start researching planners in the Charlotte area. I did not grow up here, but live here now and it is where Andrew and I met - so we wanted all of our people to come be in “our city” for the wedding. My mom and I started setting up phone calls with different planners, and I vividly remember after getting off the phone with Katie that we looked at each other and said “wow, she is who we are looking for!” She was professional and kind, and really demonstrated that she knew her stuff from that initial call. It just felt like we clicked immediately! Not to mention she emailed us afterwards right away. It was basically a no-brainer that she should be the one planning our wedding.
Throughout the year, the whole team at Katie Brooks Event Co. were so on top of things - they are so responsive and kind! I had a habit of sending emails with 500 questions about different things in them, and they always answered back punctually and thoughtfully. When it came to the design, I simply shared my Pinterest vision board and the girls truly made it come to life - even better than I could imagine! They also managed vendors so well along the way, and made what could have been a stressful process juggling so many different moving parts just SO easy.
By the time we got to wedding weekend, I felt so at peace. I knew that if anything came up, Katie and team would 100% have it covered. In fact, one of my Bridesmaids who knows me extremely well kept saying “you’re so calm, it is freaking me out” - that is how uncharacteristic this was for me! Little things came up throughout the day, but Katie, Anna Blue, and team took control before it ever got to me to stress about. They handled both the Rehearsal Dinner and wedding, and I am so glad we had their help all weekend.The entire was so magical! The design was impeccable throughout, but the reception space is truly still so vivid in my mind. It made me feel like a Disney princess in an enchanted garden, and was just so stunning!
I am sad for the wedding to be over for so many reasons, a large one that I truly started to think of Katie and Anna Blue as dear friends throughout our year working together. I want to reiterate how incredible thoughtful, organized, creative, and so so so kind they are. They are truly gems in this space, and I could not recommend them enough! I can’t wait to see how they continue to shine in all of the weddings they plan!

Katie Brooks Event Co. is incredible!
The Groom…yes, the Groom is writing this review 1 year after the amazing wedding day that Katie Brookes and her team helped us plan. Even after a full year, the vivid memory of the beautiful wedding day allows this review to be written without the use of pictures or notes. For a little background, my wife and I were able to bid the highest to win the wedding auction that Katie and a team of Vendors put together in support of those families affected by the tragic golf cart accident that took the lives of several people and severely injured others. Through the kindness and generosity of Katie Brookes Wedding planning and the team of Vendors (Katie knows some AMAZING vendors), the money used to bid on the wedding weekend auction went directly to those families affected. This auction and support of the families affected by such a tragedy speaks to the beautiful hearts that Katie and her team have, and we are still in awe of it.
Katie Brooke’s team was phenomenal in helping us bring a wedding vision to reality. Their support in our vision, along with their expertise in planning, coordinating, and day-of services allowed us to have a wedding that exceeded our expectations of what we thought was possible. We were not the type of couple that had it all figured out so Katie and Anna Blue were a perfect team to help guide us through the process, help bring options to the table, and assist in decision making that would result in a day we that was nothing short of magical. From the coordination of vendors to the planning of how things would look and timing of the events of the day, this team in second to none in accomplishing that goal and helping take all the stress away that some might feel on what is one of the biggest days in a couple’s journey together.
Professional, coordinated, timely, confident, passionate, patient, welcoming, calming, positive, encouraging, detailed and some of the many adjectives we would use to describe Katie and her team. The fun we were able to share with Katie and her team made what could be a very stressful process so enjoyable.
We cannot thank Katie and her team enough for helping us have the most amazing wedding day! And we are grateful for the friendship that was created and is still standing. We just cannot praise them enough... amazing at what the do, and amazingly wonderful people! We love you Katie and team!! -

Unmatched experience for the best day of our lives!
11/10!! It’s hard to write how incredibly grateful we are to have found Katie and her team at Katie Brooks Event Co!
My now husband and I are not from NC as we decided to have a destination wedding there after visiting and falling in love with the state! Searching through IG and the internet, I found Katie Brooks Event Co and scheduled a call with them! We connected instantly!
At the time, we already had a few vendors booked, so we were looking for partial planning and day of coordination. Not only did their team go above and beyond to make our day perfect, but they truly became great friends that I miss talking to each week!! It makes me tear up thinking of the incredible wedding day we had thanks to all their hard work! It’s hard to describe how incredibly talented Katie and her team are - they are the BEST!! They gave advice when I needed it, they gave options for us when requested, and made decisions when they knew what to do from past experiences! The. Dream. Team.
I was worried I would be so stressed the day of our wedding (my family was worried about me too lol) because of everything that goes into the big, exciting day! When it came down to it, I was calm and able to soak in every minute and it’s all thanks to Katie and Anna Blue!! ❤️ I knew they had everything organized and under control and trusted them to do what they do best…they did just that and more! Our guests love everything about our wedding day! My family never stopped crying! It was a day filled with happy tears from start to finish!
We are forever grateful to have had them a part of our special day! Thanks, Katie and Anna Blue! Love you gals! My advice to future brides…book the planner!! You won’t regret it - enjoy the moments that matter on your big day and leave the rest to the pros! -

Where to even begin with Katie... she is absolutely amazing and was clearly destined to be a wedding planner. When we had our first venue tour, our event manager recommended Katie Brooks Event Co. for both planning services and decor/furniture rentals (check out Bespoke Rentals if you haven't yet!). We initially wanted to hire her for month-of coordination but ended up going with a partial planning package, and she generously included a design board since that was an area where we needed more insight and expertise.
Katie and her team were so thoughtful and communicative throughout the planning process, even when there were complications with our venue. She hadn't dealt with a venue moving before, yet she and her team handled it so graciously and didn't miss a beat. Her vendor recommendations were fantastic and mindful of our budget, and the platform she uses (Aisle Planner) kept us organized every step of the way throughout our year of planning. It contained a to-do list, vendor contacts, budgeting tool, seating chart, and everything else you would need for your dream day.
We came into the planning process with a lot of ideas but weren't sure how everything would come together from a design perspective. Our theme/vibe was midcentury modern + boho with lots of color, florals, velvet, etc. Katie's design board brilliantly captured what we were envisioning, and seeing it come to life on our wedding day was incredible. Everything from the decor to the event flow felt so authentic to us and our vision. Our guests were gushing about how gorgeous, unique, and cohesive it was. It's like Katie crawled into our brains and created exactly what we were hoping for!
We can't thank the Katie Brooks Event Co. team enough for making our wedding so beautiful and seamless. It was a pleasure to work with them and we'd recommend them x100! -

Hands down, the best wedding planning team!!
If you’re looking for a dream team to design and coordinate your wedding — look no further!!! Katie and her team are the best of the best. After quickly realizing there was no way we could plan our own wedding with a 300+ guest count… I found Katie from a CLT wedding Facebook group — and I knew I had to work with her!!! Katie and her team are incredibly organized, detail-oriented, full of energy, and have the best recommendations and advice to make your wedding a dream come true. I had a very specific vision in mind for our wedding and Katie and her team turned my vision into a reality! If you’re looking for a sign on whether or not to work with a wedding design/planning team — this is your sign! I promise you’ll be in the best hands possible and you will not regret it! I hired Katie and her team to help me plan my wedding in November. Katie and the team were amazing from beginning to end. I had a big vision but did not know how to pull it together. Katie and her team did just that. I highly recommend choosing her add-on option of a design board. The board made interviewing additional vendors very easy and also allowed me to see my vision, communicate my vision, and helped the team keep my vision intact throughout the process. On my wedding day, I was able to 100% focus on getting ready, and not once did I worry about the setup of the venue.
This team was extremely organized and communicated quickly and on schedule. There were times when I had questions for the vendor and the response I got was that the vendor had already discussed my question with the venue.
The team is truly a dream team, you will not regret hiring them! -

Katie and her team were absolutely amazing to work with during the wedding process and on my wedding day! As we all know, a wedding can be very stressful with all the last minute details, decorations, coordination, communication, and set up/breakdown that is required... Thanks to katie my day was absolutely perfect and I didn't worry about a single thing. The timeline was seamless, and they made sure every one of my requests was answered and nothing slipped through the cracks. On top of that, they made the venue look amazing!!! It was the most stress free day and I would 100% hire them again!!!! -

Simply AMAZING. Katie's entire team were amazing from start to finish. I am a super visual person and struggled to visual my wedding/decor while planning. It didn't help that I had a destination wedding, so I couldn't visit the venue to picture everything. Katie understood this and created a design board for me, but it didn't stop there. When I asked for help visualizing the seating charts etc, she even sent me images of past wedding to help. Let me tell you IT HELPED SO SO MUCH! Every question I had was answered quickly either via email, text, call, or in our meetings. My day of planner was Anna and she was on top of it. Every detail big or small was spot on and she made my day go perfectly! I also rented items from Katie's rental service and they added the finishing touch to my decor. Lastly, after realizing that I would not be able to drop of my bouquet off to my florist to get it preserved (destination wedding problems) Katie offered to drop it off on her way home (it was also out of her way). Truly an amazing company and group of girls. They are delightful to work with, pay attention to the little things, and will make your dream come to life. 10 out of 10 would recommend! :) -

I was also a vendor at a Highlands, NC wedding that Katie was coordinating. The weekend of the wedding we got hit by the biggest snowstorm the area had seen in years. Needless to say this brought up an entire list of complications and added logistical stuff to the weekend. Many vendors and guests were literally snowed in or stranded due to the storm. Despite all the chaos the storm brought with ith KB kept everyone calm, continued to keep everything organized and pulled off a beautiful wedding ceremony and reception. It's a weekend that I'll always talk about when sharing my wedding experiences.

We booked Katie at the start of our wedding planning knowing we would need some help and realizing most venues required a day of planner. I honestly don’t know what I would have done without her support. We ended up with her middle package, and I’m glad we did! I would have NEVER been able to pull off everything myself. She was there with any questions we had and all the recommendations in our budget. I never felt compelled to go with a more expensive vendor. I think there’s something to say about a planner that truly does stick to your budget and listens to what you and your partner want, not what will make them look good. The stress of wedding planning is real, and if I did it again I would have booked the next package up! I sincerely would recommend her and her team. -

Above and Beyond Wedding Planner
Katie and her team made all of our wedding hopes and dreams come true! KBE is responsive, hardworking, and thorough. They did an outstanding job of handling all the details (quotes, timeline, meetings, etc.) and made sure our vendors were all set for the big day. Several of our vendors have commented on how organized and prepared KBE was on our wedding day. Katie did an amazing job of our easing our nerves and planning our day down to the minute, but she also made my husband and I feel so comfortable throughout the process. Katie and her team are simply the BEST and I cannot recommend them enough. If you are looking for a wedding planner that will go above and beyond for you, Katie is your girl. -

Katie helped us plan our dream wedding this past October! We couldn’t have asked for anyone better, she truly helped make it such a special day that we will remember forever! Katie and Bailey were such a truly wonderful team to work with for my wedding. I worked with Katie for the partial planning & day-of coordination, and she was incredible; Katie was always happy to set up a time to chat when I needed advice or vendor recs, and she kept me on track throughout the planning process. Her day-of services were flawless and invaluable. I was so busy in the days leading up to the wedding because I planned my wedding in NC from Washington state, and Katie and her team seriously came through for us!!! Look no further for the perfect wedding coordination team!
Bailey and Katie were amazing from start to finish! They were on point with all the details leading up to our wedding, but I have to say that I couldn’t have asked for better coordination on the day of. We didn’t need to worry about anything except to show up, relax, and wait to be told when and where to go. Bailey stayed connected with all the vendors to ensure everything was synched up, so it all went off without a hitch. We couldn’t have asked for a nicer and more professional team. This girl knows what she is doing!
She made day of planning coordination seamless.
Super easy and pleasant to work with, wouldn’t have wanted to hire anyone else. Very responsive to emails and made sure all of my vendors were up to speed. She had a answer for all my questions and was very professional and flexible to work with. Access to Aisle planner was very helpful as well when it came to seating arrangements and keeping up with payments.
She checked in with me on the day of and took the reins from there. I didn’t have to think about anything. One thing I would suggest is a check in with the groom and groomsman as well on the day of the wedding just to make sure they know what’s going on.

Katie Is the kindest soul to ever exist. She is extremely professional and more detailed than you could ever imagine. Her work is her life and she pours every ounce of herself into making sure your wedding is absolutely perfect. She not only had a list of tips and recommended vendors but she created such a detailed and FUNCTIONAL timeline. On top of it she made sure I (the bride) and my husband were comfortable and taken care of the entire time. I mean she literally brought us our food! Every second of the day she was attentive and ensuring each vendor was doing their part. Our day was beyond perfect. I literally couldn’t have imagined our wedding without her (& her mama) !!! First vendor I booked and I wouldn’t have changed a single thing. If you book Katie..(you better!!!) you would never regret it, and we’ll after your wedding you’d still be stress free! Above and Beyond!
I was fortunate enough to photograph a wedding at The Kinslee Shop Farm that was coordinated by Katie Brooks and day of execution was handled by Bailey (as Katie was handling another wedding that day). They both worked so hard to accommodate the needs of my clients and their guests and they did it with warmth and elegance in every last detail. By the end of the wedding, guests were dancing with Bailey in celebration of the night. She became a part of the friend group as it was clear how much dedication and enjoyment she put into the entire weekend. As a wedding professional, I do not often write reviews, but I know when one is well deserved. The team went above and beyond. I am so grateful and would recommend them 100%. -

Katie was absolutely amazing to work with and took such a huge list of 'to-do's' off our plate. From working with vendors and coordinating with venues and our officiant to the actual day of, she was always there. Late night panic phone calls, handling things gone awry just before the wedding, dealing with obnoxious family members -- Katie did it all and we are so grateful for her services and SO thankful we hired her. We booked her elite package. It made wedding planning seamless and worth the money. She has plenty of experience planning weddings. I can not say enough AMAZING things about working with Katie! We began planning my wedding in February 2019. I am having our wedding in a location 9hrs away from where I live and Katie has been so helpful and supportive every step of the way. After months of phone conversations, meeting her in person for a venue walk through was like seeing an old friend you hadn't seen in years.
When Covid hit and we were forced to rescheduled our big day, Katie was there on the daily helping me re-arrange all our vendors and scout out new ones. She made a high stress change work out flawlessly. I can't wait until our big day in the fall because I know the weekend will run smoothly with Katie in charge! -

I culled through so many wedding planners and I wanted to make sure I could find someone that cared about me, understood and related to my vision and was ultimately someone that could turn into a friend. Every other planner felt like I was just another sale for their profit, but when I first talked to Katie, she genuinely just was interested in helping me and I wasn't just another sale.
My wedding was already planned for after Coronavirus and she's been dealing with a lot of brides who have had Covid-19 affected weddings with so much grace and professionalism while balancing mine which is still almost a year away!
Katie is always pretty available to talk even if you have the most random thought. She has helped me SOOOO much with everything, even if I have the craziest ideas for my wedding. My stress level went from over 1000 to 10 because of Katie and I know she'll take care of it exactly how I want it without saying many words because 1 she knows her stuff and 2 she's trendy and GETS me!! It's so awesome that we have the same taste and style and I can be REAL with her like a friend.
I'm not an easy bride. I want to whip out all the stops for my wedding; fireworks, a drumline, a firetruck, a cryo gun...I'm crazy! Even if I text her about one of these weird ideas, she never judges or asks questions..she just does what I need to be done to try to make it happen. She is so patient and has so much experience from other weddings. I'm so grateful I found her because I didn't vibe with other planners like her. I know I can call on her anytime. I know she's going to make sure my wedding day is perfect so I can enjoy my special day. I honestly will be sad when it's over because she's been such a value add and joy in my life! -

My fiancé and I live in Ohio and are getting married in Asheville, NC. Hiring Katie was one of the best decisions we could have made. From the initial phone call we could tell she was genuine, sweet and very much invested in her job. She was the first and only wedding planner we spoke to, bc we knew right away she was the one. We were supposed to be married on May 30th but had to postpone till September due to COVID. Katie coordinated with all our vendors as quickly as possible and was able to find a date that worked for all of us and make it as pain free as possible. She is knowledgeable, punctual and really cares for her couples and goes out of her way to make sure every detail is handled. She has a lot of vendors she is already familiar with and works tirelessly to find new ones if needed. Her bubbly personality makes it so easy to work with and we are so happy to have found her.

Wedding planning for me became very stressful and the last thing I wanted going in to my big day was to have to coordinate all these big plans. I decided to hire Katie and she has been so helpful! I can honestly say she is making wedding planning more exciting instead of eye twitching! If you want a wedding planner who is dedicated to detail, perfect in her craft and truly talented- do what I did and hire Katie immediately. We ended up hiring her for both our wedding day and rehearsal dinner and it was the BEST decision we made hands down. Her talent exceeded all expectations and she was always there to guide me throughout the wedding planning process- I live in Southern California so having her a text away, even in those late hours, gave me complete comfort-she is truly the greatest. She also has an incredibly chic aesthetic and not only listened to my visions, but made them all come true in the most magical ways that I couldn’t have dreamt possible! She’s amazing!
Katie absolutely made our big day a million times smoother! She made and sent out timelines to everyone and made sure that everything stuck to that time line. She showed up and made everything 10 times easier. She also had a really good eye for detail and pulled me aside to make sure every little thing was just perfect. We liked working with the KBE team - they were polite and easy to be around. Katie also has a great rentals inventory that we utilized. In hindsight though, I wish we would have gone with a company that had more familiarity with our venue/wedding location and vendors and could offer us better advice. We purchased the Sweet partial planning package and did all the vendor research, selection, booking/pricing on our own. We were also ahead of Katie's planning timeline the entire time, so when we did meet with the KBE team, it felt like we were just catching them up instead of making any new decisions. Katie did try to help us recoup costs from a problematic transportation vendor, which was great. Overall, I think a Month-of coordinator would have been a better use of our wedding budget.
