Hammond/Preuss did an absolutely bang up job capturing the story of our wedding so perfectly. Ryan and Leigh are very nice and easy to be around, so they made us feel very comfortable getting our pictures taken. They are also ninja photographers! At some point, you won't even notice them there, but then, when you look at all your wedding photos, you realize that they were there for everything, from the most special sweet moments, to the sweetest dance moves from your friends, they caught it on film for you to reminisce about later. They took wonderful portraits, but I think we all knew that those weren't the most important photos. My husband and I wanted lots of pictures of our guests, and we sure got them! It truly reminded us of all the love we felt not only for each other on our wedding day, but for all of our guests. Hammond/Preuss is a great team of two talented photographers who you absolutely need as part of your wedding dream team!Hammond/Preuss did an absolutely bang up job capturing the story of our wedding so perfectly. Short review: Ryan and Leigh are amazing! They were always quick to respond, and happy to hear any ideas we had. They blended with the crowd, and were never intrusive. The photos they gave us were beautiful and made me feel like I was back at the wedding, laughing and having fun. I would recommend them to any couple, without ANY reservations.
Long review: After the venue, photography was our biggest vendor purchase, and my husband and I were extremely picky. My husband studied photography in college, and fancies himself a connoisseur. Several of my friends who would be attending are professional photographers, as well, so I wanted to make sure ours was up to snuff.
More than anything, we wanted a photographer—or photographers—who would capture the "feeling" of the wedding. I figured I could get any number of posed photos of friends and family through their own selfies or cameras, so we were looking for a vendor who would get all those other moments that we might miss.
Ryan and Leigh (Hammond and Preuss) delivered and then some! We got so many great photos; even my pickiest family members admitted that they are having a hard time choosing which ones to print. They did take some formal posed photos of family and friends immediately after the ceremony, but the rest are all "in-the-moment." Some are funny, some are sweet, and they all captured the feel of my wedding perfectly.Short review: Ryan and Leigh are amazing! They were always quick to respond, and happy to hear any ideas we had. Ryan and Leigh did an amazing job of capturing our day in the most natural way! The photos are absolutely beautiful, yet we never felt like we were staged in front of the camera all day. We all worked together to determine what we wanted for our day, and Ryan and Leigh made that happen! They provided us the perfect combination of posed photos and more importantly, a lot of candid shots were captured, which was what we were looking for. Ryan and Leigh captured our day, perfectly! We can relive our special day through these photos over and over again. Job well done!! We would hire them again and again! They were perfect "guests". They made everything seem like a very effortless process and that was important to us.

Leigh and Ryan did an amazing job with our engagement photos and our wedding photos. Both of them made us feel so comfortable from our first shoot all the way through our big day. They were able to capture true moments that were unexpected and truly appreciated. They were there for us on the day of our wedding very early to photograph both of us getting ready for the big day and stayed late into the night to take pictures of all of the action on the dance floor. They included a photo booth with their package which they took photos at themselves. It included props and a great background. We thought it was much better than the standard booth that spits out photos on a strip to you in black and white. The quality of there photos was 100 times better than others we've seen recently (have been in 5 weddings this year before ours this year alone). They didn't limit the number of digital copies that we could receive and also did not charge anything for the extra time we requested them to spend with us. They were so amazing and we wish they could be there to capture every special moment in our lives!Leigh and Ryan did an amazing job with our engagement photos and our wedding photos. I can't say enough good things about Ryan and Leigh. They were professional, but also made the whole experience fun. Their style of photography is so unique, capturing candid moments and providing a different point of view from the standard "hold a pose" type of picture. They were absolutely fantastic. My Husband and I cannot say enough about how much we loved our photos! Ryan and Leigh are so wonderful. We had a very small wedding that was a little less than traditional. They made everything so easy- got everyone where they needed to be.

From the first phone conversation is was easy to see why Ryan and Leighann from Hammond Preuss are one of the best wedding photographers in the world! Their professionalism, patience, kindness, and of course skill were so far beyond our expectations. We didn't even know they captured the most amazing candid, natural shots, of us! The finished product is o far beyond expectation!!!! the cost was nothing compared to what we received! Memories to last a lifetime! I would Highly! Recommend Hammond Preuss photography! To anyone and everyone!!!! Can't wait to see the wedding day photos! Ryan and Leigh are a wonderful team and superlative photographers. Choosing them as our wedding photographers was the easiest and best decision we made. If you’re looking for true photojournalism and photographers who capture the entire arc of your wedding day—the happiness and joy, the atmosphere, the special moments, and the meaningful details—then they are the perfect choice. Their photographs are vibrant and kinetic, and Ryan and Leigh are fun, energetic, and full of enthusiasm.
At our first meeting, I appreciated that Ryan and Leigh presented an entire wedding shoot, rather than selecting only highlights. Their photography styles are complementary, and we liked the idea of having two professional photographers with different perspectives. They were flexible and understanding when we had to twice reschedule the engagement photos. Despite our skepticism of syrupy engagement pictures, Ryan and Leigh gave just enough guidance to let us relax and be ourselves, which they captured perfectly in the photographs.
Ryan and Leigh traveled to Phoenix for our wedding and arrived early to scope out the best spots for pictures. Being led by Leigh to the first look was calming, like walking with a dear friend. During the ceremony and reception, they captured all the moments we remember, and others that we missed. Our guests commented how great, friendly, and unobtrusive they were as they maneuvered around the dance floor to snap pictures of everyone.
After the wedding, Ryan and Leigh were prompt with editing and finalizing the photographs and kept us posted on their progress.
We are thrilled with our photographs, and we are grateful to Ryan and Leigh for documenting the day so perfectly and professionally. My husband and I are big fans of old french photography (Doisneau), b&w photography and we were very picky when it came time to pick our photographers! But we were so happy with the quality and the aesthetics of our pics!! Ryan and Leigh were open to our ideas, they blended so well with our guests that they were able to capture some amazing moments between our families...when we showed our photos to friends and family, everyone kept saying that "they looked like they belong in a magazine " .. Amazing work ethic, communication ,vision ,professionalism...I would recommend them with no hesitation!I can't say enough good things about Ryan and Leigh! Words written in this comments section simply cannot describe how awesome Ryan and Leigh are. We eloped to Tucson in January 2013, and they captured the soul of our little ceremony. We had no idea what we were doing -- thank goodness they were there to take charge and good care of us. They did it all -- traditional posed shots, whimsical candids, everything. Additionally, they were the *most* fun people to hang out with for the day! Since our family and friends weren't at our secret wedding, the photographic journal of the day was so important. We're still getting comments from people on how much fun the day looked through Ryan's and Leigh's work. Ryan Hammond shot our Christmas Eve wedding and we can sum the experience up in one word - brilliant! It was a very small affair and Ryan was as much a part of the festivities as our photographer - we were so comfortable with him from the first, felt like an old friend was with us taking our pictures. He has such a gift for catching the expressions and emotions and fleeting priceless moments with his easy candid, documentary style - Ryan perfectly captured the incredible joy, fun and intimacy of our wedding day. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts Ryan - our photographs are lovely and amazing and we're over the moon happy with them!

From our first contact and first meeting, it was clear that Hammond/Preuss was our top choice, and they really came through for us. They're both incredibly easy to work with and went out of their way to create a wonderful product for us. They were always easy to get in touch with and very responsive by phone and email. Their style is unique in that they really know how to capture spontaneous moments. They captured some beautiful candid moments and facial expressions of us (the bride and groom) and of our guests. Just know that they will never pose you unless you specifically ask for that, except during your formals (and they don’t do a ton of these), so if you're looking for more typical/traditional shots, this is not your photographer. But if you're looking for artistic, beautiful and unique photos, Hammond/Preuss are the photographers you're looking for. We made it clear from the beginning how important it was to us to have mountain views in the background of our photos, and they thought outside the box to make sure this happened. The lighting was a huge challenge for them (considering that the sun was coming over the mountains), but they really make it work beautifully. Moreover, each of the two photographers have distinctly different styles, one more journalistic and one more artistic, so you’ll get a nice variety. Something that also impressed me is that I think they, themselves, showed up in exactly 2 photos, and that includes the hundreds we received from guests. Also, I think some guests didn't even know we had a photographer. When they say they're unobtrusive, they really mean it. Leigh and Ryan were AMAZING photographers for our wedding last month. They worked with me and my husband from when we booked them over a year ago to make sure our wedding day photos were exactly what we were looking for. My husband and I wanted our photos to capture the expressions and the feelings of happiness on our big day without too many smiling "posey" photos, and they did exactly that. During the ceremony, they were very respectful of our Catholic ceremony and we didn't even notice they were there! They took some creative photos, including a night "sparkler" photo before our big exit which looks like it was created at a Disney park! I love every single photo, each one tells a story of our wedding. We knew up front what the costs would be, and they didn't try and nickle and dime us for anything. I feel very lucky to have picked such amazing photographers for my wedding!Leigh and Ryan were AMAZING photographers for our wedding last month. They worked with me and my husband from when we booked them over a year ago to make sure our wedding day photos were exactly what we were looking for. My husband and I wanted our photos to capture the expressions and the feelings of happiness on our big day without too many smiling "posey" photos, and they did exactly that. During the ceremony, they were very respectful of our Catholic ceremony and we didn't even notice they were there! They took some creative photos, including a night "sparkler" photo before our big exit which looks like it was created at a Disney park! I love every single photo, each one tells a story of our wedding. We knew up front what the costs would be, and they didn't try and nickle and dime us for anything. We were planning a wedding in NY, but live in Tucson and have to say that Leigh and Ryan were the MOST low-key of our vendors even though they were the ones least familiar with the area and had to travel across the country! We met with them once or twice, emailed a few times and when the wedding day came they captured everything flawlessly and most importantly- they were like ninjas. Most of our guests didn't even realize we had photographers until they did the photobooth at the end of the night (which I highly recommend doing, such funny shots!)
Aside from getting phenomenal shots of our whole wedding, they are just a joy to be around, good at giving direction to that wandering family member when needed but also smiling and joking in between shots. A good photographer was the most important thing to me and my husband in planning our wedding. Leigh and Ryan definetely exceeded our expectations. Hammond Preuss took our engagement and wedding photos and they all came out wonderful. Of all of the vendors used in our wedding, two of them stood out as EXCELLENT choices- one being our DJ (separate review) and one being Ryan and Leigh of Hammond Preuss. They were not only professional and AWESOME at what they do, their personalities were so fun and laid back and easy to work with. They went above and beyond in more than a handful of ways over the planning process and during our wedding day. I have absolutely no regrets using them and they are worth every penny! I feel that our photos are the most gorgeous I have ever seen of any wedding photos...maybe I am biased?? =) They truly are stunning and the photographers eye that they each have is unique and journalistic- when looking at our photos, the story of the day from beginning to end is so clear and takes us right back to our most special or special days! I will always be so grateful that we chose to go with them over several others we met with and interviewed. These two are such great people to work with- we totally enjoyed working with them on a professional level and we loved them on a personal level. Thank you Ryan and Leigh! Hammond/Preuss Photography provided their services for our wedding and we were beyond overjoyed when we viewed our prints! We happened to get married on a beautiful day in July-thankful there were no monsoons during our outside ceremony-and Ryan and Leigh did an outstanding job capturing the beauty of the desert harmoniously with the beauty of our wedding. As the bride on the day of the wedding, I was extremely anxious. Having Leigh in the room taking pictures of all of the ladies getting ready together, lightened the mood and allowed me to relax and enjoy that time prior to the ceremony and reception. Ryan and Leigh also did an amazing job of taking beautiful and FUN pictures of the wedding party with out my husband or I seeing each other before our vows. They captured not only the love-filled moments, but the laughter and celebration that is just as much a part of the union of marriage. They are willing to capture any sort of photographs you would like and also come loaded with creative ideas of their own! I am so blessed we had them as our photographers for one of the most special days of our lives and highly recommend Hammond/Preuss Photography! Ryan and Leighann from Hammond Preuss have to be the best wedding photographers in the world!!! They were great at getting natural shots, of our children, our guests, and us! They were extremely patient as we had large family groups to get together for pictures. I knew wedding photos were going to be very important to me, the cost was nothing compared to what we received! Memories to last a lifetime! I would Highly! Recommend Hammond Preuss photography!Ryan and Leighann from Hammond Preuss have to be the best wedding photographers in the world!!!
