The best wedding planner we could have ever asked for!
My husband and I got married at LaPlaya in November 2024 and had the absolute BEST experience working with Courtney! Her professionalism, humor, flexibility and knowledge of the wedding industry is unmatched. There were so many details leading up to the wedding that she helped us coordinate that we didn't realize we would have needed -- things like charger plates, uplighting, drapings, etc. These elements might seem small on their own but made SUCH a difference day-of. Additionally, her relationships with industry vendors is amazing -- she really helped us put together such a dream team of vendors that made us feel supported from beginning to end.
Professionalism aside, Courtney leads with empathy. She helped us navigate wedding planning during hurricane season and kept us calm amid the uncertainty with Hurricanes Helene and Milton.
I wholeheartedly recommend hiring Courtney and the Fabulously Chic team for any and all wedding/event planning services. From the initial kick-off call to saying goodbye at the end of the wedding reception, we had such a great experience with her and will be forever grateful. Thank you for everything, Courtney!

The Only Right Option
If you are anything like me and my wife - you have probably scoured the internet and this site looking up reviews, pictures, and are having tons of conversations about who you should work with to plan your dream wedding. Please look no further.
Courtney is the best of the best. She was quick extremely quick to respond to emails, she helped walk us through steps to determine what our vision for the night would be (because we didn't have a clue), she had the patience of a saint with us, and ultimately on our biggest day she was an absolute rock in ensuring every single moment was picture perfect.
She was able to coordinate with our venue, negotiate contracts, set expectations, keep us calm when we were nervous, set us up with vendors who were all just absolutely incredible, ensure our family felt comfortable on the big day, and had a smile on the entire time. We genuinely can not thank her enough.
I promise on / leading up to your wedding day, you don't want to have to worry about a thing. You need someone to ensure you follow the right timeline and get everything you want to make the perfect day come true.

This review is long over due. Simply put - Courtney is amazing! I came in knowing exactly the vision I wanted and Courtney really executed my wedding at LaPlaya perfectly. Being out of state and extremely Type-A, I was nervous and anxious. However, having Courtney as my planner really calmed my nerves and she truly was a life saver. Not only that, but days after giving birth, she was on the phone with me talking wedding details - clearly she is committed to her job and clients! Since she had a baby a few weeks before the big day, Tori was there for our welcome party and wedding. Tori was also great! Every detail for the wedding was absolutely perfect and I wish I could plan another wedding with Courtney. Getting a wedding planner was one of the best wedding planning decisions I made and going with Courtney is a no brainer. She is every type A brides dream :)

No stress & solid execution when Fabulous Chic Wedding (Courtney) is involved!!
The wedding jigsaw puzzle is very stressful. Will everything fit together and run smoothly was a constant question on my mind. With Courtney (Fabulous Chic Wedding), I was at ease. Courtney spoke with me weekly ~2 months out from our wedding to answer any questions or sort through any logistics. I cannot say enough great things about Courtney and her team!! I was planning on having a small "destination" wedding in SW Florida and needed a planner to help me since I live in New York. I didn't have the largest of budgets but she was able to make my wedding dreams come to life and it was absolutely beautiful! Courtney and her team were so unbelievable. We made the decision to move our wedding from Michigan to Naples, FL just 6 weeks before our big day and I TRULY could not have done it without Courtney. Within one day of signing on with her she had recommendations for my whole vendor team, recommendations on design and was managing coordination with our venue (La Playa). She added so much value and was honest with me about what things were worth spending money on. My wedding was beyond amazing and it wouldn't have happened without her. Courtney is amazing! Her organization and expertise is beyond helpful in this industry. She hands down puts you first and listens to every detail you want for your day! She was my planner for my wedding on October 16th 2021 and she made my day stress free. I had three locations which can be a lot for planning purposes. Getting ready at the hotel, ceremony at the church and cocktail and reception nearby..... can I tell you how hard navigating and staying on top of vendors/ design/ timeline etc for all three locations?! She nailed every detail all with a big smile on her face! she is realistic and honest and i feel like that is what you want in a planner! You want to trust the person who will actually be with you more than your spouse leading up to the day (lol) and that is truly Courtney!

From beginning to end, Courtney was a dream to work with. We started planning the wedding very early & she was extremely organized & prompt. I had no idea what I was doing and she guided me to ensure my wedding day was perfect. Sanibel Wedding
If you are on the fence about hiring a wedding planner, my advice would be to STOP HESITATING AND BOOK COURTNEY. She is such a professional and is amazing to work with. I initially thought I could handle the planning for 150 guests with just the help of our venue coordinator, but I later realized that I needed more help. Luckily Courtney was still available for our date, and we hugely benefitted from her services. She has worked so many weddings that she was able to offer incredible advice. Having her sharp eye review all of our vendor contracts and day-of timelines was invaluable. I also can’t emphasize enough just how awesome she is to work with (sweet, funny, and gets stuff DONE)! She brought an assistant with her day-of and it is dizzying how much they were able to get done, and they did it all with smiles. She wrangled large family photos and made sure our bridal party was in the right places at the right time. She was hands down our favorite wedding vendor. Thank you, Courtney!!

Words can't do justice to the service Courtney provided us as our wedding planner. Despite thinking we could handle everything on our own, we hired Fab Chic after multiple referrals and a bit of pressure from our families. I can't how many times during the process I said "Thank god we have Courtney or we'd be so lost and under-prepared." Courtney took time to get to know us as a couple and understand what my wife envisioned for our special day before recommending vendors. She wanted to make sure that each vendor was suited to our personalities and style. Small details we would've never thought of such as baby pineapples on name cards, a beautiful "In Loving Memory" display, and massive hedge wall covered with tropical flowers to separate ceremony from reception were just a few of the touches our guests couldn't stop raving about. Courtney had a family wedding to attend the day of our marriage so couldn't be there in person... at first we were hesitant but after meeting Amanda, we knew we were in good hands. Amanda was on top of EVERYTHING and was present for our final walk through and other pre-wedding meetings to ensure she knew exactly how we expected everything to go. Her assistant Liz was also a pleasure to work with and went out of her way throughout the entire day to make sure we were comfortable. I am so happy that I hired Courtney with FabChic Weddings for our Day of Coordinator! She went above and beyond to help make our wedding day absolutely perfect in every way! I emailed her countless times in the months leading up to our wedding day with a million questions and she always responded back quickly and with great advice that truly helped relieve so much wedding stress. She coordinated our rehearsal the day before and had great insight to make everything run smoothly. The morning of our wedding, there was a big thunderstorm and our venue ended up loosing power for a few hours while we were trying to get ready. Courtney handled everything! She worked with the venue to find us a location with power to get ready in and took care of all the little details. In what should've been an extremely stressful time, this bride was calm and was able to enjoy the day because of Courtney! I truly don't know how we would've done it all without her! Courtney handled all details of the entire day. She communicated with other vendors, set up all the decorations, kept everyone on the timeline, and was there for any little thing that came up. Couldn't have done it without Courtney!
Hiring Courtney was one of the best (and easiest!) decisions we made when planning our wedding. She is absolutely fabulous, and she made our wedding everything we hoped for, and so much more. Courtney was able to take my somewhat scattered ideas for an indoor garden wedding and turn them into a reality (she was even able to get bistro lights hung in the venue!). Her attention to detail, professionalism, and overall kindness made working with her a dream, and I’d jump at the chance to work with her again (in a non-wedding setting, of course!). From her guidance and experience with picking linens and table settings, to the day of the wedding, Courtney and her team kept everything relaxed, running smoothly, and on time. She made sure we ate the day-of, and even went so far as to follow us around with plates of appetizers when we were taking pictures! There’s no way I would have enjoyed the wedding day as much as I did without Courtney, and for that I am forever grateful.

Courtney is a dream wedding planner
Where do I begin...Courtney feels as much a part of the wedding as our family and friends did! We hired Courtney for full planning and coordination and she helped us design our entire wedding from afar (we got married in Sanibel at Casa Ybel Resort and live in CT). She helped us pick vendors and everyone we worked with was top of their game. There are a lot of little headaches that come with so much planning and coordination and Courtney managed every one of them for us. She has an eye for design and helped bring the look, the feel and the colors we wanted to life. She asked us to describe the words we were looking for that we want people to say about our wedding- 'fun', 'great music', 'stunning', 'wow', 'beautiful', 'elegant' and every one of those words was said to us at some point! It was a perfect weekend and we owe much of that to Courtney. We interviewed several planners and Courtney stood out from the rest with her professionalism, organization, connections to vendors, and designing. Amazing Experience with Courtney for my 3/16/19 Wedding!
I recently had my wedding at LaPlaya on 3/16/19... where to begin?! Courtney will always hold a special place in my heart because she is who I credit for making my wedding day so magical and more than I could have ever imagined. Hiring Courtney was by far the best decision I made for my wedding. I had no idea how many small details and vendor coordination was involved (a lot of work!), I could not have done it without her. Awesome Wedding Planner
We just got back from our amazing destination wedding in Sanibel Island, and I don’t think there are enough great things I can say about our experience working with Courtney. In a relatively short amount of time, she helped us plan a weekend-long dream wedding that completely surpassed all of our expectations. She is an unbelievably hard worker who guided us through all aspects of the planning process, including helping us pick our vendors who were all so wonderful, keeping us on track timing-wise, and helping us create beautiful details that all of my guests were wowed by. Courtney has incredible attention to detail, she cares only about what you want and she makes sure your dream comes true. Our wedding was an island beach wedding with an insane amount of logistics. With Courtney in charge, I never had to deal with ANY logistics. She had a plan and she executed on it flawlessly. She became my friend, my therapist and my mentor throughout the entire process. My husband and I look back on our absolutely perfect day and the first person that comes to mind is Courtney. She is the one who made it happen and for that we are forever grateful. Courtney is the best. She made sure that my wedding day was flawless. Leading up to the wedding she was always making sure that everything was ready and was answering any questions I had! She really can do it all! From welcome bags, keeping the boys in check, bussleing the dress, to every small detail she was on top of it! I did not have to stress at all on my big day, because I knew Courtney had it! She even took photos and sent them to me so I could see some before the photographer could send me photos! Thank you Courtney... my wedding day was the best day of my life! If you want the best coordinator out there, pick Courtney!

Courtney exceeded ALL of my expectations. I am very organized and Type A by nature, so I was unsure if I needed a Coordinator. After working with Courtney, she was truly the best investment for my wedding and I know that my wedding would not have been executed as flawlessly without her. I hired Fabulously Chic Weddings to help me with my destination wedding at South Seas Island Resort on Captiva Island. I hired for the Day Of Coordination and whether that's what you are looking for or wish to have her plan the entire event, I would highly, highly recommend and wish I could give her more stars than 5. She far exceeded my expectations and have her to thank for a wedding that I feel went on flawlessly and is forever going to be my best day ever.
Courtney and I clicked from the first call (when I was vetting her), and all along the way as she was so kind, honest, professional, responsive and knowledgeable. She gave me reassurance that I was staying up to date with making my crucial decisions and vendor selections. She gave honest insight to make sure I hired vendors that could deliver on what I was envisioning. And created a timeline for the day of that worked PERFECT for us - I wouldn't have had a clue on where to begin!
When I met Courtney in person - once 2 months prior and then the rehearsal day - I knew even more that I was in great hands. I can say that I felt more RELAXED than I ever thought I would have been leading up to the wedding and family/friends noticed too. That was because I felt like with Courtney, I had my own personal army to execute all the details!
Courtney is great at keeping you, your bridal parties, parents in check. (telling me to go relax and not worry about setting up the tables, asking groomsmen to ditch their sunglasses, getting my dad to put his suit jacket back on for the father/daughter dance, etc.) All things I didn't have to worry about and now looking at pictures, she is the one to thank!
One other huge benefit with Fabulously Chic Weddings' day of coordination is that I purchased most of our decor and wanted to leave with it. They packed it all up so neatly after the wedding ended - I didn't have anything to do but load in the car the next morning.

Hiring Courtney was by far the best choice I made when planning our destination wedding in Naples, FL, and I can’t say enough great things about her!
Being Boston based it was just too difficult to plan from afar, and I knew I needed someone local to help me navigate the process. From our very first phone call I knew Courtney was the perfect choice. She was quickly able to pick up on my vision and knew exactly how to bring my wedding dreams to reality.
Communication with Courtney was always a breeze. Email was my preferred method and she always responded quickly to my litany of questions. Being a local expert she was able to recommend vendors for all of my needs and then coordinate with them to ensure everything went off without a hitch. The one time there was a small snafu with one of our vendors she quickly found a replacement and negotiated the items for the same replacement cost before she even called me to tell me there was a problem (all within 24 hours of her finding out about the issue). I truly did not need to worry about a thing with Courtney at the helm, and I trusted her 100% to take care of all of the details.
Our wedding day was absolute perfection and everything we dreamed of, and it was all because of Courtney. She coordinated absolutely everything on the big day, and I was able to sit back, relax, and enjoy our day with zero stress. I would recommend a planner to anyone planning a wedding, regardless of whether it is a destination wedding or not. Having someone else to do all of the coordinating is worth every penny, especially when it’s the amazing Courtney!

Courtney did such a wonderful job helping to plan and execute my husband's and my wedding this past March! Based in DC, we knew we needed someone on the ground in Florida to support with vendors and getting married at my parents' home, there were a lot of logistical details to consider. Courtney made the process incredibly easy! She would email me lists of vendors so we could easily select which one we wanted (I think we always went with her recommendation, too, which is a testament to Courtney really understanding what we wanted, our budget, etc.). Courtney was incredibly responsive throughout the planning process, worked patiently to help tease out visions I had in my head and worked tirelessly with vendors until we were all on the same page. Her and her team handled all things big and small from ensuring design elements at the ceremony and reception space were perfect to figuring out how to transport people from point A to point B efficiently. One of the best things about working with Courtney, though, is that my family and I were incredibly relaxed on the day of the wedding because she and her team were so organized. If there were any hiccups, I couldn't tell you. It truly was a magical day and are so appreciative of Courtney and her team for helping to make it everything we wanted and ensuring that we could be fully present to enjoy the day. Working with Courtney was the best experience ever. I cannot say enough positive things. She made planning our wedding a stress-free and immensely enjoyable process. She truly understood our vision and kept us on track the whole way. When people asked why I wasn't stressed leading up to the wedding, it was because I had Courtney there every step of the way.
Our wedding planning process was about 15 months and she was there from beginning to end. From helping us nail down our venue, to picking us up at the airport when it was our only opportunity to meet, to making sure every little detail was in place for our welcome dinner, the wedding and the day after brunch...she was beyond the best. To summarize the review I am about to write: Courtney is amazing. Do not think twice. Hire her. NOW.
Now for the long review: I am a very organized person and didn't think I needed a wedding planner. But, so many people told me there is a need for one no matter how organized you think you are. I ended up interviewing a few planners and realized the huge value that they would add. I hired Courtney for her day of services, which meant she started getting involved about a month before to help organize schedules and reach out to vendors. She was truly amazing. She asked me questions that I didn't even know I had to think about, and helped put me at ease throughout it all. She paid attention to every little detail, and I knew once it was in her hands - it would run smoothly. She was truly a game changer to my wedding and helped relieve any stress I had. I live in another state, so we had to ship a few things down to make it easier on us. Courtney volunteered for us to ship things to her house, which was so nice of her. She went out of her way to do things like that, to make sure she was helping throughout every step of the way. I can't say enough great things about her. I made a last minute switch as to where I wanted to get ready on the day of, and she didn't bat an eye. She was on it, and contacted all of the hair and makeup crew immediately to let them know of the change.
On top of her amazing skills, she has such a positive attitude. It was easy for me to tell that she is just a kind person, and someone that you just feel good to be around.
I HIGHLY recommend her. My wedding would have not been the same without her role in it.

My wedding was in Naples, FL and my husband and I were planning the wedding from Denver, CO. My husband and I are scientists and love doing lots of research before any major commitment. I'm also EXTREMELY picky and not afraid to speak my mind when it comes to things that I find unsatisfactory. I often come across as rude, especially to people who don't know me. So choosing the right wedding planner was extremely important to me, especially since we were planning a destination wedding.
I have ABSOLUTELY ZERO regrets in hiring Courtney to be my planner. I. LOVE. HER. She genuinely wants her brides to have the most perfect day ever. No detail is too tiny if it is what the bride wants. I started working with her about 1 year before my wedding and she made the process SO easy for me. I get stressed about the stupidest things and Courtney just knows how to reduce my stress. She took the time to understand me as a person (she even took a personality test per my request so we could better understand each other's communication styles!) and it makes all the difference when your planner makes the effort to make you happy 100% of the time. My vision for the wedding and my happiness (and also keeping to the budget) were ALWAYS a top priority. The communication was not a problem, even with the distance; she was always willing to schedule calls/video chats or meet up with us when we were in FL visiting. She was also realistic, which as a first-time bride is helpful because I have nothing to compare to. She will be straight with you. She is also a WONDERFUL mediator. She volunteered herself countless times to handle "mom drama" so I didn't look like the bad guy. She is a fantastic problem solver and I swear she is a magician. She is a professional, and just makes everything beautiful.
Courtney was my "wedding buddy" and made all my wedding dreams come true. If you are on the fence about Fab Chic Weddings, don't be. Choose her. You will NOT be sorry!

I was speachless, like jaw on the ground speachless when I saw my reception space. It was like something out of a movie.
Think you cant afford it? Think again. You will honestly spend more if you try to go it on your own than if you pay for least partial planning because you will find you spend money in the wrong places on your own. All the vendors Fab Chic recommended were top notch, dependable and delivered a quality product. My wedding was unbelievable thanks to Fab Chic! Totally worth every penny and more!

live in Switzerland and we (my husband and I) hired Courtney after she spoke to the couple. It was hands down the best decision we made. She is a total professional and went beyond the call of duty for us on many occasions. She helped with every detail and aspect of a complicated destination wedding. We had a unique situation with time, language and distance but knowing Courtney had our backs made it all run smoothly. She was spectacular to have on hand for the the entire day and we got her a room so she with us every step of the way. Not one detail escaped her attention. Even with the distance (i live in Switzerland), she helped me a lot. She was doing everything i couldn't do because i wasn't there: meeting vendors, buying items, driving hours to assist to my mockup table, going to the venue and taking picture for me, etc... I hired Courtney as a day of coordinator for my wedding and not only she surpassed my expectations but she also made it so much more stress free. Courtney is absolutely amazing! Our wedding would not have been as beautiful as it was without her. She helped make our wedding vision come to life. We were married at the Powel Crosely Estate and live in New York City. Her email communications, phone calls and texts made planning from such a far distance so easy. She has many vendors that she is able to recommend, she always keeps your budget in mind and she is extremely helpful in reaching decisions that work best for your vision. I had complete trust and confidence in Courtney and was able to relax knowing that I had her there. She turned ideas that I had into a reality and put together the most amazing and gorgeous wedding I have ever seen. All of my guests were also telling us that it was the most beautiful wedding they have ever been to. The day of my wedding I was able to relax knowing that Courtney was handling all of the details. Courtney went above and beyond to ensure my day was perfect. She's incredibly professional, sweet, informed, and "above and beyond" hard working. She at one point catapulted over a railing to ensure my walkway was clear before going down the aisle.
No detail is too small. She thinks of things you'd never even consider, and is as budget conscious as you need to be.
I couldn't imagine my day without Courtney, and if any event comes up in the future I will hire her in an instant.

We hired Courtney to oversee full planning for our wedding on June 21, 2014 on Sanibel and Captiva Islands. She guided us through the entire process of planning 3 events: the Welcome Party (150 ppl), the Wedding (170 ppl) and a Sunday Brunch (130 ppl). As our wedding was destination, we were based in New York during most of the planning process and entrusted Courtney with the big (and small) decisions. Courtney brought her knowledge, intuition, experience and high taste level to every aspect of planning!
A key reason we hired Courtney was that she had connections and strong relationships with other vendors in the area. This provided me with a sense of trust in all decisions as she had previously worked with the vendors we chose and had positive experiences with each. Planning from a distance became very simple as I could rely on her expertise and relationships with others in Southwest Florida! All of the vendors she recommended were tailored to our style and budget specifications.
Courtney has many qualities that make her the right choice, but one of the great things about Courtney is that she has your best interests in mind the entire time. She negotiates when necessary and stands up for what she thinks is right. She is always working on your behalf.
Above all else, Courtney is friendly, passionate and truly cares about your event as much as you do. As we all know, our own wedding is the MOST important thing to us, but it is hard to find others who find it as important as you do! Courtney plans your wedding as if it were her own, making sure every detail is taken care of in order to make the event seamless. She is always there to run an idea by or talk things out. On the day of, everything is taken care of so all you have to do is relax and get married.
Our wedding weekend was absolutely perfect. If we could do it all over again there is not one thing we would change and that is 100% due to our Wedding Planner, Courtney!

I hired Courtney for my Day Of Coordinator for my wedding in Naples, Florida on April 26, 2014. Despite the "Day Of" title, Courtney helped me tremendously in the several months before the wedding and offered recommendations and advice whenever I asked.
I am a very organized and creative person, so I was unsure if I need a Coordinator, but planning a wedding is unlike any other experience. I could not have executed such an amazing event without her. I am so thankful Courtney was my Wedding Coordinator!
She completely handled the logistics of my wedding venue, church, hotel, and vendors. She asked questions that I had no idea to ask and sought out solutions to problems that I didn't know I would encounter. She even picked up my wedding dress from the steamer, shopped for frames for my signage and labels for my flip flop basket when I forgot to do so in time, and bought extra ribbon for my napkins when I purchased too little (and didn't tell me that I purchased too little until AFTER the wedding so I wouldn't be stressed).
I live in Chicago and Courtney let me ship anything I bought for the wedding to her home -- many months in advance of the big day. She took in boxes of favors, flip flops, table numbers, lanterns, baskets, sparklers, everything!! This service was of value beyond words.
My wedding weekend was 100% stress-free and that is because I knew Courtney was handling it. She brought expertise and professional to the job. She brought me and my mom complete piece of mind.
"Highly recommend" hiring Courtney is not a strong enough phrase. Just do it, you will be incredibly glad that you did.

Courtney is absolutely amazing. My mother in law hired Courtney to help with our wedding because we were planning our wedding in Fort Myers, and currently live in Chicago. At first, I thought it was unnecessary and wasn't really sure what exactly a wedding planner would do that we couldn't figure out on our own. Boy, was I mistaken! We started meeting Courtney a little more than a year before our wedding, and she took care of even the tiniest of details for us. She was incredibly flexible, and very helpful with giving us options for certain vendors. We met with Courtney probably 8 or so times before the actual wedding, but she emailed me at least once a week to keep my up to date as to what was going on, or what we needed to work on. The day of the wedding she even went and picked us up Publix subs and delivered them to our rooms! Courtney was instrumental on making the wedding day itself successful. We had planned to get married in front of the fig tree at the Edison Estates and the weather started to turn for the worst in the morning of the wedding. At about 2pm, Courtney made the judgement call to cancel the ceremony at the Edison and have it at the Sidney Berne Davis, which was where our reception was to be held. I won't lie, I was bummed. And I couldn't imagine how having it at the Berne Davis was going to compare to that beautiful fig tree. Courtney worked some serious magic. We ended up having the ceremony outside on the front walkway of the Berne Davis. It was breathtaking how gorgeous it turned out. In fact, I can't imagine my wedding having looked as good at the Edison. Courtney made my wedding an absolute dream. I could absolutely not have done it without her, and I can't thank her enough for everything she did for us. I would recommend her to anyone! She is absolutely fantastic. So much so, that you'll connive to find other parties to have her plan for you!

We originally hired another planner who made us all of the promises in the world and after she had our money, she couldn’t deliver on ONE of those promises….she was beyond horrible. I was absolutely devastated and that person took all of the fun out of the planning process and this special time in our lives. We dreaded every meeting and had no idea how we were going to get through the next year working with her. Luckily, someone recommended that we speak with Courtney at Fabulously Chic and as soon as I did, the decision to make the change was a no-brainer!! Courtney was fantastic during the whole process, helping me to stay in budget, trying to keep me focused to what was really important to execute the day of the wedding. She helped me find the vendors to use and really helped to manage the stress of the wedding. On the day of the wedding Courtney was absolutely amazing. She made sure everything I had planned and imagined was excited flawlessly, the decor setup was absolutely amazing, and all the details that had been planned looked amazing. She made sure everything and everyone was ready for speeches, dances, entrances and if I looked nervous she was running off to get me some water. Courtney was the perfect planner for us! She provided us with a wealth of ideas, information, resources, and contacts that helped my daughter achieve her vision for her perfect wedding. Although we had originally decided only to secure a coordinator for day-of assistance, we decided to add support for decoration planning because our venue was not normally used for a wedding reception. My daughter had a clear vision of what she wanted but we were uncertain how to make that happen. Courtney guided us through many discussions over about six months that truly helped us plan and implement a beautiful event. Her contacts are the best, and not necessarily the best-known. If you are getting married in SWFL then you should contact Courtney immediately. She is very good at what she does. After I contacted Courtney and signed a contract she was very helpful throughout the entire process. We used her for Day of Coordination, and she was always very quick to answer any emails for guidance or advice. When we met a month before the wedding, we were completely at ease knowing that Courtney would do an amazing job. She did wonderful coordinating the rehearsal, and prepared everyone for the wedding day. On our wedding day she took care of absolutely everything, and made the day run so smoothly. If anything went wrong, I am not aware of it! I would HIGHLY recommend Courtney, you will be so happy to have her as a part of your wedding!

She was able to coordinate all the shipping and hold anything I needed for the wedding weekend prior to my arrival. After getting engaged, I became obsessed with all things wedding--watching the marathons of wedding movies and shows, reading magazines, and perusing through Pinterest. I'd always hoped to have a wedding planner that was just as great as what I'd seen in the movies, but knew the reality was that it was "Hollywood" and the chances of that were slim. I thought I'd just do it on my own, but wanted to entertain the idea of a "day of planner." This is when Courtney Shaw and Fabulously Chic came into my life!
The day we met, Courtney was so professional and prepared. At that meeting she made me realize that I needed more help than I thought. The next day, I officially hired her as my full time planner. From that moment on Courtney calmed my nerves when they became frazzled, helped me sort through the numerous vendors, set a budget, helped me finalize a design idea, set the tables, shine the candelabras, and fluff my veil and dress one last time before walking down the isle.

I cannot put into words how incredible she is. She was there for me every step of the way of this extremely overwhelming process with such tact and enthusiasm. She became more than just my planner, she became my friend! I want to start by saying why I am so thrilled with having Courtney as my wedding planner
-She is a perfectionist who worked tirelessly to make our wedding exactly what we dreamed of!
-She responded to every email, phone call, and text message so promptly, that I truly felt like I was her only client!
-Her hard work and organizational skills took so much off of my plate during the planning process AND allowed me to actually enjoy it!
I began planning my wedding thinking that I would do it on my own, that having a wedding planner was a luxury and not a necessity. I now know that it is as much of a necessity as having a photographer. I viewed having a planner as insurance that my wedding day would be amazing...not average.
Courtney was the first to return my phonec call of the 3 planners that I called. Lucky for me that she did and, perhaps, not so lucky for her, I was less than 3 months away from my wedding and had a lot of unknowns...My colors, my flowers, my cake just to name a few. I leaned on Courtney for inspiration to figure out what I wanted. She was 100% there for me, constantly emailing and texting ideas, until finally we had a clear vision and plan. This is essentially how the whole process went, we collaborated and came up with a vision, and she brought it to life. In addition, she and her staff did all of the hands on work...assembling welcome bags, inflating beach balls, creating agendas, place card assembly...to name a few.
I can honestly say that my wedding day was the most amazing day --better than I ever imagined it would be! I attribute this to all of Courtney's creative abilities and organization during the planning process AND to the fact that she and her staff made the day of my wedding completely stress free for me and my guests.
Lastly, Courtney has impeccable taste and works with the finest vendors. Every vendor she recommended was outstanding. For this reason alone, it was worth having her!

Courtney and her assistant did an EXCELLENT job 'day of coordinating' and then some. My rose petal aisle that Courtney designed came out gorgeous! I had no worries leading up to the wedding or the day of because of her awesome communication skills and attention to detail. My emails were answered quickly and efficiently, I have no doubt that everything turned out perfect because of Fabulously Chic's hard work!!

Courtney was absolutely amazing! I could not imagine putting my wedding together without her help. She was on top of every little detail and on top of me to make sure what I needed to do got done in time. She pointed my husband and I in the right direction on things so that we could stay within our budget and she was wonderful on helping me stay calm and collected on the big day. We couldn't have asked for more or for a better wedding planner, there just isn't one.

Courtney honestly went above & beyond anything I expected and/or asked from her. She is so professional, personable, and passionate about her job! Any time I had a question- she responded quickly, honestly and was always willing to help with any weird thing I had in mind for my wedding. If I was heading in 100 directions & getting overwhelmed (happened a lot) she'd point me in 1 and tell me exactly what I needed to get done first. I loved that I could e-mail her late at night and almost always got a response the same evening! She is full of ideas, advice, and did most of the correspondence with all of my vendors. I couldn't have asked for more from her (not to mention the few counseling sessions she gave me ;) during our many meetings... She has a lot of great vendors she works with frequently who were willing to give me a good deal since I was working with her. I truly think she is worth all that she charges, I would recommend her to anyone who is planning an event. She truly wants her clients to be happy at the end of the day and you can rest assured she'll do everything in her power to make that happen. Thank you, Courtney!!!!!!!!!!!

Planning a wedding is the most stressful event I have ever experienced. Not only are you trying to make that day memorable for you but you are also trying to please all your guests and family members so that everyone walks away with that "wow" experience.
I started this journey with complete confidence in my ability to handle the entire situation. About half way in, I realized I was in way over my head and started looking for "a day of planner". Interviewed a few and walked away not happy with the results.
I went back and started researching again and found my answer in someone who initially did not have a lot of reviews up on any of the web sites. At first that gave me pause for concern....either she has not done a lot of weddings or brides were not happy with her service and would have rather not commented.
I took a chance on Courntney and her staff and she totally blew my expectations out of the water. At our initial meeting, I was sold. One month into our agreement, I went back and modified it to include the entire event including the rehearsal dinner. She was perfect in every way. Responsible, hardworking and truly wanted that day to be about us.
I am very grateful to her for literally taking my planning folder away from me and running with it in a way that made me feel like she really understood me.
I have since referred several brides to Courtney and her staff and will continue to do so. She is truly a professional and you will not be disappointed.

Courtney was amazing! I literally could not have done it without her. I hired her just for the day-of only a month before my wedding. She listened to my ideas, made suggestions on decor and vendors, and then pulled it all together on the day. She gave me the wedding I had wanted without me having to lift a finger on the day. She was flexible, accomodating, and organized throughout the planning process, balancing the wishes of the bride and groom as well as the parents. She is creative and has good taste. Fabulously Chic Weddings was recommended by a close friend of mine. Originally, I thought I would just be needing a Day of Coordinator, but after I met with Courtney I knew I wanted her help all the way through. Our personalities instantly clicked, and she genuinely understood my concerns and answered ALL of my questions. I wanted to have a vintage/rustic themed wedding and I planned on making most of the details for the reception (such as my centerpieces, party favors, etc). Courtney totally saw the same type of style I had envisioned, and she also provided new ideas that I hadn't even thought of. We spent countless hours together crafting away, and can honestly say I wouldn't have been able to do it all without her! On the day of the wedding, I was able to BREATHE because by this time I knew her well enough to trust her with every task that I would have been worried about trying to do myself (I am normally a super OCD control freak). Courtney was extremely thorough, so I really didn't have to worry about a thing on my wedding day, I could just relax and enjoy it- and for this I am so grateful. I had so many guests come up to me after the wedding and tell me how "on the ball" she was. Words cannot express how happy I am with her services from the very beginning all the way to the big day! After struggling with a decision between two different planners, I ended up going with my gut and selecting Courtney because of how prompt she was getting back to me, and how friendly she was through email conversation before I had ever met her in person! Once I did meet her face-to-face, we clicked and I felt like she was always on the same page, even when I wasn't very clear with what I wanted! She always managed to keep me calm and problem solve without bothering me a lot and without stressing anybody out at all. She's very smart, very resourceful and always available to answer questions. My wedding day was GORGEOUS. She took all the small ideas I had and turned them into grand realities. Courtney Shaw of Fabulously Chic Weddings is outstanding! I planned my wedding at Marco Island, FL from Los Angeles, which as you can imagine has its challenges. Being the control freak that I am, I hired Courtney as my DOC. I naively thought I would have all the wedding details squared away and would only need a DOC to run the show on the big day. I came to realize that remembering or even knowing all the little details involved with a wedding was a bit unrealistic. THANK GOODNESS FOR COURTNEY!!! She went above and beyond her duties of a DOC.
After our initial meeting, Courtney periodically checked in with me on the details of the wedding. She was a great resource to me whenever I had questions related to vendors or even basic wedding etiquette. She housed all my wedding decor that I needed to ship in advance and even offered her assistance to put it all together. When the big day finally arrived she took care of everything! And I mean everything...she even reminded me to eat...which I would have definitely forgotten with all the excitement from that day. She remembered every single detail and made sure that the day was truly perfect. I could not have done it without her.
I highly recommend Courtney Shaw from Fabulously Chic Weddings, you are making a mistake if you pass her up!

Fabulously Chic Events was there from begining until long after the last guest left, offering so much advice and support and just listening when I was getting stressed. My daughter was married on May 14, 2011, and Courtney made the day perfect. Her professionalism shines. Thank you so much for making the day fantastic. I would highly reccommend her to anyone.

Courtney from Fabulously Chic Weddings designed a gorgeous wedding for my husband and I. She followed every vision we had. I am only providing Courtney a 4/5 for Quality of Service for budgetary reasons. Although we were very loose with budget, it would have been beneficial to have a dashboard which showed the estimated cost for each items and the actual to track how much would be due in the end.
Overall, would highly recommend Courtney to any bride getting married in the SWFL area!

Courtney definitely lives up to her business' name (Fabulously Chic Weddings)! She has great taste and knows quality vendors in the area. The vendor fees we paid to Courtney saved us more money than we spent on her services and the week of the wedding she was completely at our disposal for anything and everything.
