    All brides to be, buckle up, and read this review. Hiring Johnell and the Cleary Classy Events team was hands down the best decision we made for our wedding. To start, I have never been one to day dream about wedding details. Growing up I didn't think about what my flowers would look like, or my color scheme - I just knew I wanted it to be a great time celebrating the love of my life with family and friends. The first time I met Johnell I walked into her office with my wedding Pinterest board in tow, filled with random pins that could have described 10 different weddings. She took a look at what I had, listened to my "vision" (I put in quotes because it was so scatter brained), and she looked and me and said "I can plan this wedding". After giving her my thoughts and letting her know I wanted an ethereal, elegant wedding with a laid back backyard vibe she took me right to the Hummingbird House, and I can not even put into words how perfect and absolutely incredible the venue was. We immediately knew it was the venue for us after a long and arduous search, and we would have never found it had it not been for Johnell's expertise. Every single step of the way she was diligent and responsive. I changed my color scheme at least 3 times before landing on blush, and each time I sent those random late night emails with my frantic requests she would get right back to me. I felt totally at ease, and had the most incredible experience planning my wedding with literally no stress. Every single recommendation Johnell made from the photographer (Luxe Photography), the flowers (Bloom Bar) the videographer (Erik Carlson) and beyond, were absolutely fabulous. Not only was every single person we worked with tremendously talented, but they were also amazing people and a total joy to have as a part of our special day.     My daughter (the bride) and I trusted Johnell at Clearly Classy Events to coordinate and plan the whole wedding. I was totally a deer in the headlights, a little high-strung and live in Houston. The wedding was to be outdoors in Austin in early February. How's that for a tall order?! We met with Johnell gave her our idea of what we wanted and how much we wanted to spend. She worked with my daughter and me and created a vision board and detailed budget--which was very accurate. Even though we never saw a flower before we got to the venue for the ceremony and reception, when we walked into the reception room, we saw our vision down to the smallest detail. Johnell's recommendations for vendors were all spot on. Even afterwards I can't get over what a fantastic time we had.

    Clearly Classy Events is THE event planning company to choose! Johnell and her team worked with us from the beginning to the end on our wedding. They handled every piece of our wedding puzzle. I had some unique ideas and they were helpful and always knew and understood the final vision. Every step of the way Johnell and her team were GREAT! I would easily recommend Clearly Classy Events to everyone needing an event or wedding planner...no matter how small or large your event are going to get exactly what you want! I was married in Austin but lived in Houston and I always knew our preparation was in great hands with the Clearly Classy Team! The communication was always open and responded to all questions and concerns I had during the process. I can't thank them enough for making one of the greatest days of my life so EXTREMELY INCREDIBLE!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!! Johnell, Cassie, and the team are great! Do yourself a favor and choose them! :) You won't regret it!

    Johnell and Natasha are fabulous wedding planners! I didn't ever think about getting a wedding planner because I thought it was unnecessary and I was completely wrong. These people literally changed my life. The venue required a planner so I called a few that the venue recommended. I chose Clearly Classy events because they were the first to respond and very well priced (and didn't tack on a bunch of extra fees). They were extremely detail oriented, professional, and helpful. I never had to ask if something was being done, it was always taken care of before I asked. Our venue had strict rules about when we could bring things in and they made sure it got done. Natasha was such a rockstar at the wedding making sure everything was running smoothly. I would highly recommend them to anyone! Thanks so much ladies!

    From start to finish: WOW! We knew we wanted a party planner for our wedding, but had no idea where to start or even what questions to ask a party planner. Thank gosh we met Johnell!!! Her and her staff provide you with an exceptional level of service. They provide you with things that you don’t even realize you need when you are trying to decide on a planner. During the process, I thought to myself “Wow, its a good thing we hired Johnell because I had no idea I would even need a timeline or a dropbox folder, but it really came in handy.” She creates a vision board, keeps your budget on track, lets you know how much deposit and final monies are due when and to whom, she coordinates with the transportation and caterer, and flower people and OH MY! All the people to coordinate with is mind boggling, so it really helped for us to have one point of contact, Johnell, who would then contact the correct vendor to make any changes. We changed our minds so many times about little details and they seemed happy to make the changes and roll with our punches. Never, at any point, did they seem frustrated with our requests, which made me, as a bride, feel okay about wanting to add/subtract things from the evening. There are so many details that go into planning an event and I didn’t want to handle any of them. You can be as hands on or as hands off with Johnell and her staff. We let her take complete control of the decor because neither of us cared about it, but she ended up nailing exactly what we had in mind as she took our venue style and favorite colors and blended them seamlessly all well within our budget. Johnell is by your side the entire time you are planning. She came with us to everything…. my dress fittings, our venue walk throughs, flower appointments, etc. Day of the event, Cleary Classy Events was paramount to the success of our event. She catered to me and my husband throughout the whole night to make sure we were comfortable. YOU MUST HIRE THEM!

    Johnell and her team were absolutely amazing. I could have imagined our wedding going more perfectly. All of our guests were stunned by the decor, food, and setup of our wedding. Johnell worked tirelessly to fulfill each and every one of our needs and request, and the most amazing part was she did it with a smile on her face the whole time. It was such a joy working together with her to put this thing all together. I felt so enthusiastic after each of our meetings leading up to the event, and she her vast experience in everything wedding related calmed all of our nerves, and let us really enjoy and celebrate.

    Johnell with Clearly Classy Events is the best of the BEST! She is organized, patient, caring, kind and above all... one heck of a wedding coordinator. I really believe hiring Johnell was the reason my husband and I were able to relax and enjoy our wedding!
    She is impeccably organized and kept us on schedule. We never had to worry that something was overlooked because Johnell was on it. Throughout the process, Johnell reached out to every vendor to make sure everyone was on the same page to avoid any hiccups.
    When the wedding weekend finally arrived, she was there every step of the way. She orchestrated a fun wedding rehearsal and on the day of the wedding was off to take care of every imaginable detail! Our wedding was truly PERFECT! Our family and friends still can't stop talking about how amazing our special day was! Johnell was one of the main reasons why everything went so smoothly and I cannot recommend Clearly Classy Events enough!!

    I was MOB for the wedding. My daughter lives in CA, I live in west Texas and the wedding was in Austin at The Driskill Hotel. I could not have made it through the 14 months of planning without Clearly Classy Events-Johnell Huebner. Hiring her was well worth the money. She kept us focused and on schedule with everything-from day one. Johnell Huebner knows the event planning industry. She knows the best dependable and professional vendors in the area to work with. Clearly Classy Events is up on the latest styles and trends to help brides/wedding parties accomplish their wishes and visions. My daughter had her vision of specific items and Clearly Classy Events pulled it all together and made it come to life. Johnell Huebner is creative and very detailed oriented. On the day of the wedding, we got to enjoy the event while Johnell and her Clearly Classy Events team supervised and directed. We're so thankful we hired Clearly Classy Events! So many thanks to all the people involved! This event was way above and beyond our expectations.     Johnell was my wedding planner and it was the best decision we made through out the wedding planning process. I live in Los Angeles, CA and was planning a wedding in Austin, TX. I was worried to plan the whole wedding lost distance, but Johnell made sure everything was lined up and taken care of. From day one, Johnell and I clicked and she immediately picked up on the vision I had been picturing. She took the vision and made it come to life even better than I had imagined. I was very thankful that Johnell was very involved with recommending and communicating with all of our vendors and the design and vision of the whole wedding. On the wedding day itself, she executed the plans to perfection. The groom and I didn't have to worry about a thing on our wedding day because she was on top of it all. It made the day that much more enjoyable! We really couldn't have asked for anything more.

    Where do I start with all that Johnell and her team did for our day??? From the very beginning when we skyped for our first meeting, since it was a semi-destination wedding, she was a rockstar! She is down to earth, but knows her stuff. I, like many brides, had everything I wanted in my head, but didn't know how to make it a reality. With Johnell and Clearly Classy, my vision came to life. It was like she had jumped into my head and explained it all like I never could.

    She found vendors for me, arranged schedules, fixed problems, kept track of the budget, shuffled people, orchestrated the rehearsal, kept me focused day of, & even went under my dress trying to figure out the bustle. While nothing is ever perfect, you would have never known it with the graceful ease and flow the day held. A hiccup arises? It's taken care of. A vendor is late? She's got this. Drama? She can take it.

    I have no doubt that the day would have fallen apart all around me without Johnell by my side. I probably wouldn't have any hair left by the time the wedding day arrived either, if had not been for her taking care of all the things I knew I couldn't up in Dallas. She held my hand like a friend, hugged me when I started to melt down, and made my day what I always dreamed of since I was a little girl.

    Johnell, you blew it out of the park, or Ranch ;)

    Thank you just doesn't seem to be enough for making my dreams come true and making Chris and I's wedding day the most beautiful day of our lives.

    We contacted CCE and gave them what I consider to be a small time-frame for planning a three-day event for 50+ people, they definitely pulled it off! We were very happy with our event and would recommend.

    Johnell made sure all requests were completed and made sure we were stress free the day of. I was hesitant to hire a wedding planner, but clearly classy events is worth the money!

    Imagine everything almost falling apart on your wedding day due to flooding! We had record floods and almost didn't have a venue! Johnell at Clearly Classy took the reigns and got EVERYTHING executed for us despite weather and obstacles. Two of her assistants were unable to drive out due to road conditions, Johnell stepped up and handled the ENTIRE event herself. She also handled everyone's HIGH and INTENSE emotions of the possibility of vendors, guests etc not showing up. JOHNELL IS AMAZING! I would recommend her to ANYONE. Even prior to the event, she is on task and organized. Thank you Johnell for making sure our day was special NO MATTER WHAT.

    My daughter Brianna wanted to get married at Camp Lucy from the moment she saw Ian's Chapel and the grounds. She had 6 months only to plan her wedding the wanted to be married by the end of 2015. She lives in Dallas and I, brides mother, live in California. I was referred to Johnell by one of Camp Lucy's vendors. We did not have a chance to meet until the Wednesday before the wedding but she was kind enough to answer all my emails. The day before the wedding Dripping Springs got 16 inches of rain within 1 hour and keep raining through the night and morning, roads where closed due to flooding and no passable roads were open. I saw my daughters heart breaking as we had to make a decision. Johnell asked what we wanted to do. My daughter wanted to be married at Camp Lucy , she said she would make that happen and do all possible and SHE DID. We got there 1 hour before the ceremony and she had to work the event on her own because her staff couldn't make it through but SHE DID and Camp Lucy Staff, WHIM catering and crew they all made it happen for her. It was a beautiful event and Johnell from Clearly Classy Events YOU ROCK. You made my daughters day so beautifully romantic I can't thank you enough. I highly recommend Johnell she understands what it takes to make the day magical for bride and groom. She works well with all the vendors and keeps everything going.     Clearly Classy could not have been of more help not only before, but on the day of our wedding! The coordinators were included in our contract with out venue (Hideout on the Horseshoe), and I understand why the Hideout works with this company completely! Johnell helped recommend wonderful vendors to work with, and on the day of the wedding, Kacie kept me from having to worry about a thing! From organizing the vendors, to controlling groomsmen and bridesmaids that had enjoyed a few beers (or more) that morning, Kacie put out fires left and right. She was a pleasure to work with, and I would recommend Clearly Classy to anyone who wants a stress-free wedding day! I cannot thank these ladies enough for how much help they were :)!

    Clearly Classy Events is 100% top notch.

    From the beginning, my husband and I interviewed planners and Johnell (planner and owner) was at the top of the list by far. Since the venue wasn't a traditional venue, from day one she had to hound people to figure out how to book the place and get vendors there, as they prefer all of their own vendors, and we preferred otherwise. She has a "take no shit" attitude, which is exactly what I needed and what we needed for the wedding party and guests on the day of; she is a true cat wrangler. She was extremely flexible and easy to work with, which made things so much better for us, especially with the constant communication!

    Johnell's assistant, Jessica, is also amazing, and is always quick to respond and help in Johnell's absence.

    I had the Princess Package and I wouldn't change that for anything, as it made my experience pretty easy and seamless. I wanted as much help as possible and wanted everything done for me, in true Princess style.

    10 thumbs up, I would hire Clearly Classy for any event, not just a wedding.

    Clearly Classy Events was a lifesaver and had such wonderful people to work with. Everything was taken care of by Johnell and her staff so if anything went wrong or there were mishaps I was unaware of any of it. I doubt that there were because she is so organized and keeps things moving effortlessly. She was so fun and hardworking that I felt no worries giving her complete control and authority. I would suggest brides do the same and don't worry about anything accept having a great time on you day because they will get the job done even better than you would have imagined. Johnell took care of everything from the making sure the parents, groomsmen, bridesmaids, bride, groom, officiant, and all of the vendors had everything they could possibly need. Thanks to Johnell and her staff who made the most beautiful wedding come to life.

    Out of all the things I decided to do for my wedding, I believe getting a wedding coordinator (for the day of) was one of my best decisions. Johnell from Clearly Classy Events worked flawlessly with the venue coordinator (and all the other vendors) to make the day perfect - I had to worry about nothing at all. I was pleasantly surprised to see that when the wedding was over her team actually took care of cleaning up (and packing away) all the things I had in the "bridal cabin" (this is where I got ready for the wedding) - they packed everything in my car, and also helped move my things over to a cabin I had reserved at the venue to spend the wedding night with my new husband. They even packed away left over food and cake as well as drinks for us to eat later should we get hungry :-)

    The only thing that got me on alert was the fact that after eating people started to get ready to leave - but the problem was resolved right away; Johnell announced the toast, and after having a few people speak we served cake and people ended up staying for another hour and a half.

    Our wedding day was lovely, and I am glad Johnell was there to see it through!

    Clearly Classy Events went above and beyond for my wedding. I am typically an anxious person but working with Johnell put my mind at ease. She helped me choose all of my vendors and every one of them were amazing. The day of my wedding I didn't have to think once about planning. They had everything covered. Talk about a major sense of relief! They did many things that I didn't even think about like brought my husband and I's food to our table immediately so we wouldn't get stuck talking to people and not get to eat! Through out the night Johnell would check in with me to make sure all was well. Clearly Classy Events is more than just an event planning service. Through the entire day they were extremely supportive and gave me a lot of little tips that went a long way. I am so happy they were our planner!

    I am so thankful that we chose Johnell at Clearly Classy Events to plan our wedding. The princess package was a must. My fiance and I are both working professionals and needed someone who could alleviate the stress and handle the details so we could make the final decisions and enjoy our special wedding day. Johnell listened to all of our requests, and made top-notch suggestions that satisfied all of our criteria, kept us on track, and fit the budget. All of Johnell's professional connections and recommendations were outstanding - the caterer, the florist, the DJ, the officiant, and the photographer! We actually started the planning process rather late, but Johnell made sure that everything about our day went smoothly -- it was perfect!!

    I wanted everything to be perfect for my daughters wedding and it was Johnell and her staff did an amazing job from the planning all the way through the wedding reception making everything, even the smallest detail was perfect

They made our wedding day perfect and my husband and I were amazed at how well everything flowed on our wedding day. That was all thanks to Johnell and her team!     Johnell provided the full package of wedding planning for us and was nothing short of amazing. We knew we wanted our wedding to be about our guests, and throwing our first party for our loved ones as a couple, but as for the practical details, we had almost no idea where to start.     Johnell was the wedding planner for my wedding. I absolutely LOVED her! She listened to everything I had in mind and make sure it was all executed to perfectly! She took the ideas my mom and I had, and was able to build on them by seeing our vision from the very beginning. She was to relieve us of the stress of having to deal with everyone, to where we just needed to communicate with her and on the day of, we were able to just enjoy ourselves and knew it was all going smoothly!

    I had a very large wedding party and was blessed to have so many guest. Johnell made sure everyone was taken care of and knew exactly what was going on throughout the entire day. I have received many compliments on the way the wedding was carried out and the way it looked. It was truly above and beyond my dream day and one that I will always look back on and feel so special. I am so grateful that we had Johnell!!!

    Johnell was the wedding planner for my daughter's wedding June 21, 2014. This was my daughters dream wedding and Johnell helped make her dream come true! She took on the huge task of all of our requests and gathered and worked with all of the vendors needed from the custom designed invitations to the china and sequin linens to the flowers to the string quartet to the Cinderella horse drawn carriage and everything in between! Johnell made sure that nothing was ordered or confirmed without our approval. The wedding was absolutely beautiful! We could not have done it without her! The wedding took a year of planning and many meetings, and I know we have made a life long friend. I highly recommend Johnell as the wedding planner for your wedding!

    Johnell and her team did a great job with my wedding! We used a raw piece of land by the river and put up a big tent for the reception. It was a chore and Johnell never blinked an eye. She made sure everything was good to go and flowing as I wanted it to. The best part- she and her interns are calm. They're sweet- and not high stress. I found that incredibly helpful on such a crazy day! They work well and efficiently allowing everyone to enjoy the event. I even found myself wanting to just talk with Johnell and her intern at one point in the night! You can't go wrong with this crew.

    Johnell and her team went above and beyond my daughter's day of wedding coordination expectations. Our outdoor wedding/reception required lots of coordination and "hands on" the days before and on our daughter's wedding day. And WOW, they went above and beyond in providing coordination and hands on, worry free service and expertise. The day of the wedding went so smoothly, more so than I ever imagined. Everyone and everything was where they were supposed to be, when they were supposed to be. And if they weren't, Johnell made it happen! She arrived many hours before the 6:00 ceremony and stayed until all the tables and such were cleared. What a total relief.     Jessica and her team provided exceptional service on my wedding day. Operating under a strict budget, I was unsure if having a wedding day coordinator was going to be possible, however I am beyond thankful I was able to have Clearly Classy Events be part of my day. I would have been absolutely lost without them. Jessica and her team executed my wedding vision perfectly, which was no easy feat considering the light drizzle that insisted on hovering throughout my entire outside wedding. Though I was in panic, Jessica and her team kept me calm by ensuring that despite the rain,they would get all of my decor and tables set up and keep the ceremony chairs dry, then sent me on my way to get dressed. They kept the entire ceremony and reception running smoothly and all of my decor looked absolutely beautiful. I cannot praise them enough on their hard work and dedication to making my day perfect.     Johnell and her team were awesome! Our weekend at the Hideout on the Horseshoe was perfect, largely because of Clearly Classy. From making sure everything looked gorgeous, to making sure the wedding party was where they were supposed to be, to making sure all of my vendors balances were paid (even if it meant running to my room to grab the check book). I don't think any of the wedding guests saw her and her team, but I knew they were there and making sure the guests were happy. A great team!

    Stop browsing for event planners and hire Clearly Classy immediately! I emailed Johnell to ask if she could tackle a small private party at our house. The party was in honor of my wife's military promotion. I had originally intended on planning the event, but realized I was over my head. Johnell returned my email quickly and set up a call to discuss. She was so excited to help us out, especially because it was for a military member. I had only given her 10 days to plan, but let me tell you, the party was perfect! Johnell and her assistant thought of everything. Welcome signs, balloons, decorations, the alcohol order, and the food. The food was a HUGE hit. Johnell and her assistant worked through the evening, ensuring that the food was incredibly displayed, and transitioned the food between appetizers, hors d'oeuvres, main dishes and desserts. Johnell's assistant, Jessica, spent a large amount of her time behind the "bar", a table they had set up and decorated, ensuring that our guests were never empty handed. They displayed each type of beer and wine we had ordered so our guests could see what we had available...a small detail that was brilliant. As the party slowed, Johnell did a great job of checking in with me periodically, but also staying behind the scenes as to not interrupt our guests. As the party wound down, I came in to the kitchen to find Johnell and Jessica cleaning our personal dishes, and transitioning the flowers she brought from several vases into one. She took the time to cut the daisies to fit and arranged them in the new vase. They handled the trash and decorations. Our house was neat and tidy when they left. Johnell's service was ABOVE AND BEYOND what we had imagined. She squeezed a lot in to our budget and even came in under budget! Most importantly, because she was there, my wife and I were able to focus our on our family and friends instead of playing host. I would definitely hire Johnell again, and encourage you to do the same.

    Johnell and her crew are absolutely AMAZING! Her professionalism and attention to detail are top notch. I had to plan my outdoor Texas wedding from Minnesota and her constant communication between email and phone was phenomenal, making it so much easier to plan from across the country. Before we even met with her she was emailing us info and making sure we had everything we needed. When we did meet her in person, she had a long list of recommended vendors as well as ideas and suggestions on how to work within our budget. After talking to all the vendors on her list this was the general answer we got from them: "Oh you're working with Johnell? She's the best. This will be so easy. We LOVE working with Johnell!"
    I had many DIY ideas, and while Johnell was very supportive of all my ideas, she was straightforward about how much time a bride really does have and how fast your time can go by. Her suggestions helped me to be more realistic with my time and projects and I ended up saving a lot of headache in the end, while still doing a few of my DIY ideas.
    I had Johnell as a day-of wedding planner and she was right there beside me every time I needed something. She even knew how to bustle my dress (multiple times through out the night) without ever being shown. She is fun, outgoing, extremely organized, detail oriented, and professional. Her assistants are just as fabulous as well. I would DEFINITELY recommend Johnell to anyone!

    Johnell was the coordinator for my wedding this November at the Hideout on the Horseshoe in Canyon Lake, TX. She and her assistants were awesome to work with. I was pretty clueless about wedding planning and she went above and beyond to work with me on vendor recommendations and giving me helpful tips. I also tended to procrastinate things that needed to be done but she was very patient with me and clear about what exactly she needed from me and why. We had a large wedding party (10 bridesmaids, 11 groomsman, 2 ushers, and a flower girl) and Johnell was great about keep everyone on track. The groomsmen were a pretty rowdy group so keeping those boys in line was a task in itself. Johnell and her assistants were great about coordinating all the vendors, keeping the wedding and reception on schedule, as well as making sure my new husband and I had drinks, food, or whatever we needed throughout the evening. I could not imagine our wedding running smoothly without Johnell and her team. I would highly recommend Clearly Classy Events to any bride!

    Johnell was the consumate professional when we worked together. She had helpful advice regarding who to use for music, food, transportation, and rentals. She responded promptly to all inquiries leading up to the event. This was SUPER helpful as I was planning the wedding by myself from another city. When the wedding weekend approached, she was even more of a rockstar. She ran our rehearsal when our officiant could not be there. On the day of our wedding, if there were hiccups, I was not aware of them because Johnell's team took care of everything. It was as if a magic wedding planner fairy swooped in and took care of all the things I didn't have time to do on my own. My parents, in-laws, husband, and vendors loved working with Johnell. She is a woman who knows how to accomplish a task and make it look easy. Clearly Classy Events was truly a gift to us during a very busy and exciting wedding weekend.

    I would recommend Clearly Classy Events to any and everyone needing an event coordinator, in fact, I DID! Johnell and her staff were nothing short of AMAZING! She really helped with the stress factor of planning a wedding, I basically just had to show up. My drink was constantly filled, my shoes were put on me, jacket was brought to me, my plate of food was made for me and my husband, bags were packed, everything was taken care of! They were constantly asking my husband and I if we were okay or if we needed anything. Her staff was efficient as well and VERY professional/nice.     upon getting engaged, i initially began trying to try to plan the wedding myself. i quickly realized that it was going to be a full time job and that i was not nearly educated enough on what needed to be done. however, i was just a "normal" bride - did i really need to hire a wedding planner? it seemed like such a lavish expense and something only rich people did.

    i initially met with johnell over a cup of coffee, expressing to her my needs and fears. almost immediately, i was in love with her personality and her approach, and knew that i could trust her with this special event and that she had my best interests at heart. ultimately, johnell MORE than paid for herself, whether it was the vendor rates she secured because of her relationships and experience, or the peace of mind that she gave me. she knew every single thing that needed to be done, which company to go with to get the best service and rate, and was there for me throughout the entire planning process and day of.

    i can't imagine what the process would have been like if i had not hired johnell. the wedding was such a success and i know that it was 99% her hard work and expertise that contributed to it. i could go on and on (and on) about johnell. she is absolutely wonderful and helped me have a very classy, fun wedding.

    I was lucky enough to have Johnell and Clearly Classy on board for day of wedding coordination! My husband and I were planning our Austin wedding from Ohio, and being able to visit TX only once prior to, I could not imagine bringing everything together in the end without her help. I had absolute confidence that Johnell and her team could take my vision (and notes and emails) and create a perfect wedding day, and that confidence for me was worth every penny! The entire event flowed beautifully. I threw out a couple little plan changes during the day and she made sure they were seemlessly executed. Though I dont know all the behind the scenes details, I do know Johnell was also a big help to my parents! She was even able to time the rain perfectly so that it didn't interfere with our outdoor ceremony ;) I relied heavily on online reviews during my planning, so I can't think of a better place to tell Clearly Classy how thankful I am for everything!

    I am the mother of the Bride and have been a wedding coordinator in the Dallas area for 10 plus years. I am well aware of what needs to happen to ensure a successful wedding and ceremony. The thought of dealing with vendors and setup the day my daughter was getting married was not an option. We wanted to enjoy ever moment without worry or stress. We had some crazy extenuating medical circumstances the day of the wedding, and Johnell's expertise kept the wedding plans on track. I cannot give enough kudos and props to Clearly Classy Events for a job so professional and so well done. I give them the highest of recommendations!

    Johnnelle and her staff are great! We hired her as a day of coordinator. We didn't talk much until the week of my wedding. I was a little worried leading up to the week because we hadn't talked much but once we met at the rehearsal, she kicked things into gear. She spoke with all vendors the week before to confirm everything, she organized my rehearsal and was beyond amazing the day of my wedding! She was the manager for everything! She made sure everything was on time, made sure I got what I wanted when I wanted it, cleared up all problems before I even knew about them, and gave good advice when some last minute problems arose. She helped clean up at the end of the wedding night, she bustled my dress, filled my drinks and dinner! Anything that you can think of, she did it! You need her for the day of your wedding( especially if you are having it at Texas Old Town)! Very affordable and knows how to get things done! My wedding would not have been the same without her!

    Have you chosen your wedding day? Check to make sure Clearly Classy is available before you lock it in!! Speaking as a mother of the bride, my only regret is I did not have Johnell by my side from day one!!

    Johnell listens to your budget, brings in the professionals in that price range, and helps you to create the wedding of your daughter's dreams -- and yours too! It is seldom that one can say, "It exceeded my expectations."

    My daughter's wedding day did just that!! And I can honestly say it would not have been possible without the expertise of Johnell Huebner and Clearly Classy!

    Johnell was an amazing wedding planner! Throughout the entire process, I was never worried or anxious about anything getting done. She was on top of things!!! She has great vendor connections in the wedding business to meet all budgets. If she's never done it before, she will work hard to make it happen!!!     Johnell was a jewel! She handled everything for our 45th anniversary . We changed ideas, colors, and needs BUT she handled it beautifully. Our event was just what we envisioned and more! Would recommend Johnell and Clearly Classic Events to anyone wanting a worry free fun party!

    Johnell was fantastic! She definitely went out of her way to make our day as perfect as possible. Even down to picking up and bringing our wedding cake to the venue when the bakery messed up our delivery order. Her assistant Krista was just as attentive and helpful; making sure my groom and I had everything we needed at all times. It's not easy dealing with brides - and all extended family but they did it with a smile and never failed to get any request done!

    Johnell was very organized, always on time, etc. She had some great ideas, taken from her past experiences, when we had any questions or concerns. She suggested some things we had not even heard of before, and all were great ideas, many of which we implemented. In times where my strong will would have been too much for other people to handle, she stood her ground and we were able to compromise in areas that worked both for her and our family. On the day of the wedding, I had no doubt she was in charge--that caused me to rest easy, knowing everything would be on time and handled appropriately.

    Johnell was wonderful! I was living out of state for most of the wedding but didn't feel like I had to worry about a single thing for the wedding. She had wonderful suggestions for caterers, florists, DJs, etc. and coordinated everything with them so that I did not have to worry about any details. She also did a wonderful job of listening to me and getting a good feel of the type of wedding I wanted at the beginning so that day turned out to be everything I wanted. The day of the wedding I also had absolutely nothing to worry about. The wedding was at my parents house and we had lighting/furniture rentals/food set-up etc. going on beginning at 8 in the morning but I didn't have to worry about any of that set-up. She had everything completely organized and on schedule so all I had to worry about was getting ready. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a wedding planner!

    Johnell and her team at Clearly Classy Events were such a pleasure to work with, and I would highly recommend them to anyone. In fact, my piece of advice to all brides now is "get a wedding planner!"
    After getting engaged, my fiance and I had a general idea of what we wanted for our wedding, but the prospect of actually handling all the logistics was daunting--even though I manage complex projects professionally. Based on the recommendation of a friend, I called Johnell, and we had a conversation about our vision--which basically boiled down to "a party where we happen to get married...and also really good food".
    Johnell and her team took so much of the guesswork and stress out of the rest of the planning because of their established relationships with a variety of vendors and their general knowledge of the industry. Rather than presenting me with a ton of options to choose from, Johnell would present one or two options and let me decide--and then my work would be done. I often joked that I felt like CEO of the wedding because I would just make the big decisions and let other people worry about executing.
    Because I am a project manager myself, I was always asking Johnell where we stood with respect to different tasks and how we were doing on our timeline. And Johnell always responded in a positive and timely manner--even if my concerns wouldn't be relevant for months. Though I know she and her team were often quite busy, the level of attention I received often made me wonder if I was their only client!
    Also please know that Johnell and her team are equipped to handle potentially difficult situations extremely well. Gluten-free, dairy-free bride? No problem. The bride doesn't really get along with her family but still wants them to feel included--got it. You live in a different city? No worries. Anything and everything that came up was handled so well, and in the end we absolutely had the wedding we dreamed of.

    Clearly Classy Events' made my son and daughter-in-law's wedding an amazing, wonderful, magical experience for everyone. From the first interaction until after the last after-wedding brunch, Johnell Huebner handled everything to perfection. Our family has been fortunate to have attended parties all over the world, and none was more professionally organized and fun that the wedding that Johnell and her team did last week-end for our family.     The day turned out perfect. Everyone had a great time without any complaints. We were for the most part stress free throughout the ceremony and reception. There were a few miscommunications between the coordinator and photographer before and after the ceremony. The driver of the car and the bride were not sure where to wait for the drop off before the wedding so she wouldn't see the groom. Other than that the ceremony and reception were excellent. The coordinator and her interns worked very hard the entire time and we were very impressed! I would recommend this wedding coordinator to everyone getting married.

    CCE was the best part of our venue package. They were professional, knowledgeable and friendly. They took charge and helped to ease our anxiety so my daughter could actually enjoy her wedding day. I highly recommend them.

    Clearly Classy was assigned to us through the wedding venue that we picked. In the beginning of our wedding planning process I was rather disappointed with the service we were receiving . After pointing out my disappointment, I am happy to say that Clearly Classy Events fixed the issue and gave us one of the greatest blessing to our wedding, Kacie. She was our coordinator for our wedding day and is apart of the Clearly Classy team! She went above and beyond to cater to every last need regarding our wedding day. Our big "fiasco" for our wedding was a rain storm that was supposed to come through at the same time our outdoor ceremony was to take place. When I said that I wanted to wait out the rain, she made sure that every last vendor was ready to go with plan A (waiting it out), plan B (dealing with the repercussions of the rain), and plan C (make sure every guest had a cocktail in one hand and a rain poncho in the other!) to accommodate the weather. And not for one moment did she ever let me know what was going on because her main priority was to keep me cool, calm, and collected! I am thankful that our issues were resolved with Clearly Classy Events because I can absolutely say I would not have had the opportunity to enjoy our wedding without Kacie!

    A Nightmare

    Johnell let us down at almost every turn and her lack of professionalism was shocking.

    At the beginning we asked her if she had the bandwidth to give us the attention we needed in a short time frame and she assured us she had only one other wedding that would be over soon and could focus plenty of attention on us. Later we would find out she would only be available weekdays before 3pm and every weekend she was busy with other weddings.

    She had little interest in truly including us in the process with vendors and would rather handle everything by herself. Florals were our biggest priority and we were eager to share ideas with her and vendors. We had some discussions with her and shared a pinterest board and she said she would take care of it but we didn't have our first conversation with the vendor until weeks later. When we did have our first contact with the vendor the quote was for 3x our discussed budget, included no real pictures of what it would look like, didn't match our described vision and the vendor admitted he hadn't seen our pinterest board. We asked for some examples of his portfolio and he said he would send some but never did and wouldn't show us any examples of what it would look like unless we first signed the contract which we obviously weren't comfortable doing. We were left scrambling for a floral vendor 3 weeks before our wedding.

    When we would we would ask questions to try to get a full understanding of her ideas or to talk through our ideas she made us feel like we were a burden. She kept telling us to just trust her but anytime we did we it was to our detriment. For instance she suggested we move the ceremony a different angle than typical to make use of an existing archway that she said would save us money but it turned out the most expensive thing in her florist quote was for decorating that archway. It was much cheaper to bring in an arch. She said finding a musician would be easy but two weeks later she only had one quote that she admitted wasn't really the style we were looking for. We started doing our own legwork to make sure we would at least have one vendor option. She gave us a lighting quote and we didn't know what all the different lights were so we asked her if we could see what some of them look like set up. She said no that wasn't something they do. I emailed the vendor directly asking if we could see some of the lights and two days later we were in the venue with all the different light options set up. The vendor walked us through everything and it was extremely helpful and we actually ended up spending more once we understood what all our options were.

    At this point in the process we were very frustrated and anxious and sent Johnell our concerns that we needed to be included more to make sure we don't needlessly waste any more time. In her response she said walking us through decisions is not the best use of her time and she would address everything the following Monday. We didn't hear from her.

    We mistakenly decided lets just get through this and at least she'll come through on the day of. This is when things went from really bad to horrific. We had a walk through at the venue with her 9 days before the wedding. After she left we put the chairs down at the tables and realized it was impossible to sit 10 at a table as she had planned. In a later meeting the string quartet and sound person both recommended moving their location. The next day we asked to schedule a phone call in the next few days so we could go over adding tables and moving quartet. She responded by email saying there was ample seating room at the tables for guests which we knew to be untrue and that the strings would be heard fine and there wasn't a better place despite her never having worked the venue while the quartet had worked there many times. Again we asked for a 15 minute phone call. She said our walk through 9 days before the wedding was our final meeting and she would only be responding by email. She said we had 3 meetings(one of which was a tasting) and 3-4 phone calls and as far as she was concerned her job was done and any additional requests would only be heard by email. We were flabbergasted. We paid for the full service package which specifically states unlimited emails and phone calls and we had had 3-4 phone calls over 6 weeks and now were being told we weren't allowed one the week of our wedding.

    At this point we had already paid in full so i guess she decided now that she had our money she was going to make sure we got fed up enough to not want to deal with her anymore. It worked. She was causing us way more stress than she was relieving so a week before our wedding we told her not to come and we would handle everything ourselves. And we did. We called all the vendors and they were all helpful and accommodating and a breeze to work with compared to Johnell. We also found out for a fact that she had been bad mouthing us to vendors behind our backs. Clearly not very classy.

    Highly regret my experience

    I write this in case it’s helpful for others. I sincerely wish I’d have known what I was getting into before I entered into a contract with Johnell. If you’re not inclined to read the entirety of this lengthy review, I sum my experience up in the last two paragraphs.

    My wedding was only 1.5 months away. I chose the full package option. As a full-time professional & graduate student, the idea of a wedding planner sounded like heaven. Her reviews were phenomenal. I thought we’d get timelines, help with our vision, several vendor options with differing price points. Instead we got snarky eye rolls when we’d ask about details, sarcastic jokes about us needing to book marriage counseling, disinterest in getting us what we actually wanted, and extremely abbreviated access to her at her convenience. Honestly, it was devastating. The most stressful part of our wedding planning became my interactions, and oftentimes lack of interactions, with Johnell.

    Price points and vision would continuously get lost in translation. The pattern: Time would pass despite our requests for input on selecting vendors (for example, 3 weeks for florals) and then we’d get an almost finalized contract from a single vendor we hadn’t vetted. In the case of florals, at a price of $11K when we’d explained our floral budget was $3K.

    She was extremely dismissive. Even requests for a quick 15 minute check in call could go ignored. Her preference most of the time was to send emails during peak work hours. And her emails, most times, left things unclear. We explained several times that a weekly 15 minute call was what we needed. But she was extremely resistant. We had, at max, 2 to 3 such calls and then she refused to participate in any others. It was maddening with our 6 week timeline as we felt like our hands were tied about really understanding the status of and options for things.

    My fiancé and I defaulted to doing the legwork ourselves. When we did, vendors were LOVELY. Bending over backwards to assist us. Supplying us with multiple options and ideas. They took the time to hear us and ask about what we did and didn’t want for our day. I was overwhelmingly grateful for their support and availability.

    I was stunned when Johnell sent an angry email chastising my fiancé for calling a vendor. She reminded us that we’d have to pay her even if we were doing the work. I reiterated to her that this had nothing to do with payment. We’d started doing the work ourselves because we felt handcuffed and limited w/ her at the helm. Over and over we’d discover her “no, that’s not possible” would become “sure, we can do that, and here are several other options too” once we’d finally talk to a vendor.

    The most important thing for me: the wedding to have our unique imprint and flair- were in direct odds with Johnell’s priorities. Her priority was the path of least resistance, what’s easiest & most convenient for her. Things came together beautifully. But it really was in spite of and not because of our planner. With the vast majority of vendors, we elected to go with others that we’d vetted. This brought on its own drama as we then witnessed Johnell being cold and dismissive with these individuals when they’d attempt to ask questions or share options.

    I made several attempts to explain to her how poorly we felt we were being treated - via several emails and voicemail when she wouldn’t answer or return my call. She would eventually respond in an email days later with a dismissive, “everything will be fine” one-liner.

    The last straw was her denying us a 15 minute phone call the week of the wedding. Four days after we requested the brief call with her, she emailed, “No, I’ve done my job already. See you at the wedding on Saturday. Email me a list if there’s changes.” This transpired despite her contracted description of “unlimited phone calls and emails” and us only having had at most three direct phone calls with her. At that point, we decided to cut ties with her completely. It was an extremely high sunk cost. One that benefitted her (she was paid in full despite not working the week of or day of the wedding) & would cost us greatly. It was worth it though as the thought of this, in our experience, truly unprofessional coordinator running our special day was too disheartening.

    In sum, I felt trapped in this working relationship. I wound up having to expend more time and energy on fixing things vs had I not had a planner to begin with. All the while being made to feel like a huge annoyance during the brief times when we would have access to her. Her communication style is one tailored to meet her needs and convenience rather than the client’s. In hindsight, I never should have hired her. It was the poorest decision of my wedding planning process.

    Cleary Classy was my biggest regret. I was a very much a DIY bride, and didn't expect much from Cleary Classy. Johnell started stressing me out on Tuesday about the rain forecast, I had to remind her of our rain plan. When we discussed the guest count, she made it seem as though the wedding would be shut down, it was a completely different story when I spoke to the venue coordinator, everything was worked out. But here's what really ticked me off: on the day of the wedding, she shows up and doesn't greet me. When I request to speak with her, to make sure we are on the same page, she is panicking again asking me how SHE'S supposed to "do all this by herself". I was baffled, after constantly being told that "she got it". So there I was, getting hair and makeup done trying my best to round up my friends to go and help set up. Next thing I know I have Johnell standing in front of me telling me the last thing she needs is for my friends to tell her how to do her job. I later learned from my friend that when she arrived and offered her help to Johnell (who was frantically asking for help minutes ago), she turned my friend away saying "she got it". My friend then made a comment suggesting maybe she didn't have it under control. Johnell went on to tell my friend that this is what she does and besides the "bride is paying me". .... I'm sorry.. WHAT?? I suppose you're here to VOLUNTEER????? She was my biggest stressor!!! She also made a lot of "executive decisions" choosing not to use dishes and glassware I spent hundreds on. What a horrifying experience!!! They didn't even allow me to call my niece to bustle my dress, we were both so upset. My dress was ruined because it wasn't bustled correctly.. "but this is what she does every weekend" I still cringe when I see wedding photos showing how poorly it was bustled, again wasting hundreds of dollars. Did I mention she left before the ceremony started?! She used HER timeline.. not ours! She was so ugly to work with.
