I truly don't know how to put into words the deep appreciation and gratefulness we feel for Carolyn and her team for all of their guidance, help, and care for our December wedding! I wasn't even going to hire a wedding coordinator at first because I figured it would be an extra expense we just couldn't afford, but I happened to stumble across Carolyn Celeste Weddings on Wedding Wire and the reviews were so fantastic, I figured it might be worth a shot. Let me tell you: Carolyn is more than worth her weight in gold!!! Even before we signed a contract, she was so sweet and helpful with a few suggestions after I shared some details about our wedding with her. At that point, we knew this was the gal for us and it was quite possibly the best decision we made in the planning process! Carolyn is fun, encouraging, creative, organized, and the best possible advocate for her clients' wedding dreams. She kept us on track without being pushy, never ghosted us for even a moment, and made suggestions to help us stay on budget and still have the wedding we wanted. SO much goes into planning a wedding behind the scenes, but the real magic happens the month and day of! She and her lovely team were so sweet and kind to us, our wedding party, and our families and friends the entire night, from start to finish. We didn't have to worry about what was happening next or where we needed to be, because Carolyn kept us informed and on track with her fantastic timeline and simultaneously made sure we were having the best night of our lives! All of our guests are still complimenting the wedding and reception and how smoothly everything went, to which we credit Carolyn immensely. She consistently went above and beyond for us in so many ways, and because of her guidance and care, we literally had the PERFECT wedding day we had dreamt of for years. To prospective clients wondering if you even need a coordinator, much less wondering if Carolyn Celeste Weddings is right for you -- DO IT!!!! To Carolyn, Allie, Carter, Tiffany, and Shannon -- THANK YOU a million times and more for your hard work and kindness! We will truly never forget it! -

From our first meeting with Carolyn, we knew we were in good hands. Her organizational skills and always positive responses made our planning time productive. She listened to us and helped us craft the perfect celebration for us and our guests. She and Julie made the day seamless for us and their behind the scenes work allowed us to celebrate and enjoy our guests without worrying about the schedule or details. All of our guests are still raving about how joyful the entire evening was, from beginning to end. One of my most treasured photos is one that Carolyn took after our guests had gone and my husband and I had one last dance while Carolyn and Julie were packing up. They have earned our eternal gratitude for making our celebration magical and fun for us. -

We truly can’t say enough wonderful things about Carolyn. We were definitely not the most organized couple and had very little idea of what we were doing or what all really goes into a wedding, but she was amazing at keeping us on track every step of the way. From the planning process to day-of coordination, she consistently looked out for us and made sure we didn't overlook any details. She was incredibly kind, personable, and reassuring throughout the entire experience, which meant so much to us. Because of her guidance and support, everything came together beautifully and we were actually able to relax and enjoy our wedding day. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend Carolyn and her team to anyone planning a wedding!!! -

I met Carolyn in 2018, when I was just a freshman in college. I was attending a wedding with my boyfriend's family (who is now my husband), and I mentioned how I would be interested in becoming a wedding coordinator one day. My now mother-in-law encouraged me to introduce myself to the wedding coordinator, which was Carolyn. Since that day, I joined the CCW team and have worked many many weddings with Carolyn (AND have been the bride)! I am so confident that she is the VERY best out there.
Carolyn is an absolute STAR in the wedding industry. She is the kindest, most detail-oriented, and professional wedding planner I have come across. She makes every single wedding seamless and perfect, and is so supportive through the wedding planning process. She leads with such grace with everything she does and truly cares deeply about her brides and grooms, their friends and family, and the vendors she works with. She is a gem to work with and the perfect individual to have coordinating your wedding. It was the most full circle moment to have her coordinate my wedding this year, and I got to see her work on the other side of things, and she blew me away (although I wasn't surprised!).
Safe to say we all adore her and would 1000% recommend her to coordinate your wedding! -

We can't say enough good things about Carolyn! She was fantastic! We had a good experience with all of our vendors, but Carolyn was truly the best of them all. We used her month of services, but she began checking in with us over 6 months out and helped guide our planning throughout. She was so attentive, communicative, and on top of every part of the planning process. We really valued her expertise, but also her way of making sure our vision for our wedding was realized. She made the month, week, and day of our wedding stress free and was great with all of our vendors and family members. Her day-of team was fantastic as well. She was also just so fun to hang out with and plan with! Highly highly recommend!!! -

Carolyn & her team were the heroes of our day & leading up to the day. I cannot recommend her services enough. She helped assist us with big decisions & took care of small things that we didn't even know needed to be done. She made sure that we felt prepared and ready leading up to the big day. On wedding day, her team was the reason that everything flowed and happened according to plan. She stayed connected with all of our vendors, bridal party, and family & she made sure Daniel & I felt calm and happy all day long. Her team was instrumental in every part of the event; we can't imagine anyone better to do the job! -

Hire Carolyn Celeste Weddings!!!! Early on in my wedding planning I wasn't sure if I needed a wedding coordinator. I thought I could just do it myself (spoiler alert: I would have been very wrong). However shortly after meeting Carolyn I knew she was someone we needed there on our day. She knows EVERYTHING you could ever need to know and is always one step ahead of the game. She is extremely organized (which I so appreciated) and her main priority is bringing YOUR vision to life. We had a unique dinosaur themed wedding and she embraced it from the beginning and was genuinely excited by everything we had planned. On our wedding day I wasn't stressed because while I was getting ready I knew she was downstairs making magic happen with her team (who are just as amazing). Most importantly, you can tell that you aren't just a client to her. She takes time to get to know you and develop a friendship that will continue past your wedding day. I could go on forever but the bottom line is hire Carolyn, you won't be disappointed!! -

Picture a Translator, a Counselor, a Teacher, an Engineer, a Designer, an Organization Guru, a Cheerleader, a Prophet and your favorite cousin all wrapped up in a fun bundle of positive energy, humor and delight and you have Mrs. Carolyn Cox of Carolyn Celeste Weddings. Her years of expertise and her creative problem solving abilities ensure her clients receive double the value of what they hire her to accomplish for them.
When my daughter got engaged, our first stop was a consult with Carolyn. She was wise about where we should start the process and how to proceed. From that moment on she brought the perfect mix of calm and excitement with each interaction we had. She was quite literally the best tour guide we could have had for this 13 month life-changing heart-warming family blending event.
On the day of the wedding she truly outdid herself by bringing her own stash of bonus items (easels, a cake plate, and a “mountain toiletry kit” to name a few). She and her team maneuvered specific obstacles so that every guest and especially the wedding party could fully enjoy this special day. She provided (and updated) timelines, communicated with all vendors (and recognized them on social media), handled surprise weather and venue challenges, directed setting up, completed cleaning up, helped with dressing up and even provided follow up! Carolyn made the whole process fun and memorable and I could not be more grateful for her unique blend of service, expertise and personality. Working with her made me want to do the whole thing all over again from the beginning. Well...almost. 🥰 -

If you are beginning to plan your wedding, you NEED Carolyn. She thinks of everything. She will remind you of things that never would have crossed your mind. Carolyn is not only knowledgeable in this profession, but she is incredibly resourceful in the area. She knows EVERYONE in the Hampton Roads wedding industry and they know and love her. She is so organized and she never skips a beat. I know she had other brides while working on my wedding but she always made me feel like I was the most important person on her list and like I was a friend of hers. And as a bride having to reschedule and make cuts to our guest list because of Covid, I was so grateful for that. If I had to get married again I would hire Carolyn in an instant. The second best decision I made (other than getting married in the first place of course) was having her as our month of/day of coordinator! -

Carolyn went above and beyond for our wedding. It was not any easy one to deal with because of so many things going on and so many factors. Carolyn was helping work through things far beyond my expectations, she was talking to me way before the month of due to the unique circumstances. Carolyn covered every angle, and because of her preparing us, we were able to have our dream wedding. We were so prepared and she helped us to take measures so when the time came we could still have our special day. If it wasn’t for Carolyn our day wouldn’t happen. I highly recommend you hire her especially during these trying times. On the Wedding day, Carolyn was on top of everything and she was a true life saver. Her team made everything look so beautiful, they did a phenomenal job. Everything looked more amazing then we could have ever imagined and the day went so smoothly. Carolyn is the best out there and all the vendors love working with her, it’s a win for you and for them too! To top off our story, before dinner Carolyn came and grabbed us and said there was a surprise for us outside, and it was a giant rainbow over the ocean! Because Carolyn was so fast on her feet, we were able to get our most beloved picture by the photographer of us and the rainbow! We love you Carolyn! -

From the moment we started planning our wedding I told my husband that my one biggest priority was having a wedding planner. I knew from experience that weddings are far more complicated than they seem and I wanted to enjoy the experience rather than be stressed by it. We both agree now that the money we spent hiring Carolyn was the BEST money we ever spent! She is incredibly organized, well connected, and as a bonus, she is an absolute BLAST to hang out with! We had a huge hiccup with our venue just one week before our wedding, and without Carolyn we likely would have had to reschedule. Luckily for us she can make miracles happen and the wedding we ended up having was even better than the one we imagined! I honestly cannot say enough good things about her and her services. Carolyn Cox planned our middle daughters wedding at the Chrysler museum ten years ago!
All went so very smooth we felt like guests! Fast forward to our youngest daughters wedding planned for September 15th 2018 at the Culpepper Barn in Pungo. Hurricane Flo crashed the day. We are so grateful for Carolyn and her crew. She handled this crises with her cool, ‘can do’ attitude. From re-booking the venue for June 15 2019, contacting all paid vendors from caterers to food trucks to beer truck, valets, DJ’s, lighting specialists, rentals and on and on! All re-booked, re-organized, original contracts honored. All done with no additional charges by Carolyn Cox!

I knew from the first meeting my fiancé was convinced Carolyn would be our wedding planner. I was quickly sold as well. Easy to work with, thorough and personable. But when it came to me wanting to surprise my fiancé, THE WEEK OF the wedding -she didn’t bat an eye. No surprise was going to throw her off her game. And that’s where she really shined helping to bring to life an amazing ice sculpture feature and making it happen while I was busy working and preparing for the wedding. And she really took it above and beyond surprising even me with additional small touches when it came time to surprise my fiancé. So grateful to work with Carolyn. Kept the evening moving. Attentive to details and even worked with my best man to make sure behind the scenes things happened without me worrying about it. -

I have the unique perspective of having Carolyn and her team plan and deliver on my own wedding day and then...ten years later...having her team deliver once again for my sister's wedding this past June 2019.
As both a Bride and Matron of Honor, I worked closely with Carolyn and her team. She is very well connected in the industry and if one option doesn't work out, she knows who to call for an even better idea! She's a great listener and mediator - relieving the stress leading up to "The Big Day" and making sure all i's are dotted and t's are crossed.
My own wedding was such a whirlwind. As a Bride, you plan and plan a wonderful evening and then it happens in a blink. Looking back on that day, I can't believe how Carolyn seamlessly executed everything we had planned and made sure my husband and I were exactly where we needed to be when we needed to be there. She did the exact same - all with a smile - for my sister on her big day. And then, I had the ability to stand back and watch it all unfold. A real treat.
For my wedding, she worked with a brand new cake vendor, long-standing wedding venues, my childhood pastor, and even helped us incorporate some Hindu wedding traditions into our mostly traditional Christian ceremony since my husband and his side of the family are all from India.
For my sister's wedding, she FLAWLESSLY dealt with a Postponed WEDDING BECAUSE OF A HURRICANE IN SEPT 2018. She re-booked vendors and dealt with contracts being renewed and guided us through it all. And then - finally for the NEW Big Day - she helped my sister secure a brand new Wedding Venue (a trendy Barn), handled an infant being in the ceremony (even helping feed him right beforehand so he'd sleep), loads of last-minute-details and curves and twists and turns. And it all went off without a hitch - aside from the couple who got hitched. (ba, dum, dum).
I highly recommend Carolyn and her team because of her genuine expertise in the field and my experience - both as Bride and MOH. Your Big Day will be the Best Day in her hands.

Don't you want to be clear and present to enjoy your special day?
So much time, effort, expense, emotion AND love is poured into one lovely day where we can honor our daughter and welcome our son in law and his family to our family. It is so important to have someone by your side making sure this special day goes off without a hitch so your mind is free to be clear and present to enjoy every moment. Carolyn was worth her weight in gold. Her bubbly attitude and kindness were just a few attributes to making the stressful wedding planning process better. Every single detail she added and suggested were easily the things that made our wedding that much more spectacular. She is 100% of the time on POINT with every task that needs to be done and for taking the reigns appropriately on our day of to make our wedding day as smooth and stress free as possible. She works closely with every vendor, provides suggestions to different companies, works within your budget etc. We adored her and just wanted to take her home with us! Promptness, assertiveness and level of expertise are all beyond 10/10 we love you so much!!! -
