  Delays and how to prevent them

  Back in 1984/85 I worked FOR Candid Wedding Photographers in Wheat Ridge, CO. We PIONEERED the concept of doing "formals" BEFORE the wedding, as invariably (and as one review stated) they were delayed from their reception --- THAT is the exact reason to do them BEFORE the ceremony... you have plenty of time, nobody's rushed, it's one of the FEW peaceful moments you have all day, and when the ceremony is over - shazzam... you're OFF to the reception... it's a no-brainer. So to all of you who read this and are going to GET married... Seriously consider this concept. (after all, you HAVE "seen" each other, already!)

  We worked with Shawn at Candid Wedding Photographers and he was able to help us book a photographer at the Phoenix studio to save us the travel costs from Tucson since we were getting married in Phoenix. And we were able to work with Shawn in the Tucson studio on building our album, ordering prints, and it all went so smoothly. The photographer was very professional and everyone thought the pictures were great! Our parents loved them which was important to us. We thought they did an excellent job and would reccommend them to anyone searching for a wedding photographer.

  The photographer arrived early (but not too early) and somehow made me look thinner and shorter than my husband. He took some really great shots! He made us all feel very comfortable, was not obtrusive, but still took the important pics.

  The folks we worked with to put together our album in the Tucson office were great! In addition, our photographer, who was from the Phoenix office, did a phenomenal job. They offered flexible payment plans and were a good value for the product we received. We also liked that they used real film, although it slowed down the turn-around time.

  We first met with Candid Wedding Photographers in their office. They sat down with us and showed us previous work. We agreed to a photo album package in advance and placed a deposit down to retain their services.
  
  Two photographers showed up to the wedding. They took photos of the wedding and the reception, which was in the same location. One thing we did not like was that they held us for far too long trying to set up shots. This kept us from our family.
  
  In the end, the time the photographers spent setting up shots paid off. We ended up with some beautiful photos of our wedding. There is one in particular that was taken on a bench that is a cherished family memory.
  
  All in all, I believe Candid Wedding Photographers is a decent choice of photographer. However, if you have more time planning and want fewer posed pictures, I would suggest using someone else.
