I’m not sure where to even start with our review of Vanna and her team at Blue Sparrow Events, however simply put, they are magnificent! The year leading up to our wedding was quite a chaotic year for us — new city, new jobs, new house, and then covid. It was evident that a wedding planner would be an absolute necessity for us. After interviewing a few planners, Vanna was the clear choice for us. Her experience was very evident and spoke for itself, however what really sold us on BSE was Vanna’s ability to connect with us right off the bat. She was genuinely interested in us as a couple during our first call, making it feel like she’d known us for years! Throughout the entire planning process the BSE team was so incredibly helpful and thorough as well. As a couple planning a wedding during Covid, we couldn’t have asked for a better partner. Vanna was instrumental in helping us through the difficult decision to postpone our wedding. However when our day did finally come, it was better than we could have ever imagined! Seeing our multi-cultural celebration come together after a year of planning and having the BSE team there the entire day to make sure everything ran smoothly was the best decision we made! We wish we could do it all over again and can’t imagine doing it with anyone other than Vanna and the team at BSE. We promise if you choose to work with BSE, you will not be disappointed! -

Blue Sparrow , Vanna and her team were exquisite
Vanna was organized and responsive. Her referrals for vendors were quite simply the best . She made the day spectacular and her ability to navigate the entire wedding and reception without one glitch was remarkable. I highly recommend Blue Sparrow events , quite simply she took away all the stress of the day and organizing and impressed us until the ( sadly ) last moment of the evening ~ -

Vanna is truly the most incredible, meticulous, talented wedding planner you could ever ask for. From the very beginning, she made my husband and I feel so supported, giving us tons of resources to book vendors and a budget guide, and was always there to offer her opinion backed with experience and insight in the industry. Upon hearing I was working with Blue Sparrow Events, each and every vendor I spoke to said "oh my gosh, Vanna is INCREDIBLE, you are in GREAT hands" and how right they were! Vanna's organization, ideas, and impeccable attention to detail makes her stand out from other planners I had spoken to before landing on Blue Sparrow. She made our wedding feel like the most special, unique day, and it truly was the absolute best day of our lives! I never had to worry knowing Vanna and her team had thought of every detail and sent out to-the-minute timelines to all of our vendors long ahead of the event. She reviewed our contracts and found frivolous things we could cut out, and was quick to pivot and resolve issues if they came up. From the beginning, she listened to our vision and brought it to life, knowing how to articulate details and pieces of the day better than I could myself! My family was beyond impressed with how perfectly smooth the day was, and that is all thanks to the incredible team at Blue Sparrow. Vanna is truly an EXPERT in her field. I already am having FOMO watching her events for other couples, knowing how perfectly those days are going for them, and I could not recommend her enough to everyone I know getting engaged. Thank you so much for making our day the absolute best day of our lives, Vanna!!! -

I got married a week ago at The Allan House and I can honestly say that Tara with Blue Sparrow Events was the MVP of my entire vendor team. Tara went above and beyond to make this my dream wedding! I am a very detailed person...I think through everything and plan, plan, plan, and plan. Even with all that I am telling you that a wedding coordinator is a MUST- Tara gave me the most gorgeous, intimate, and flawless wedding!
She also saved my wedding from disaster! My entire wedding was supposed to be outside but 72 hrs before my wedding a HUGE rain storm decided to linger over Austin. She basically rearranged the entire wedding for me with a plan A, B, and C for EVERY part of the wedding (ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing). I am so thankful I had Tara by my side through this process. She was available whenever I needed her, so prompt with responses, so clear and detailed when dealing with all of my vendors. I am so grateful for everything she did to make the day perfect for my guests and my husband and me! -

Working with Vanna was the second best decision I have ever made (second only to my husband and barely at that!). She is dedicated, creative, supportive, and makes your dreams hers as she creates the wedding you see in your head but do not know how to make happen or (if you're like me) even put into words. Vanna is somehow able to be exactly what you need at every step of wedding planning. She is clearly your teammate and advocate as she guides you through the world of weddings. I was never stressed or worried that things would not turn out because from the moment I met Vanna I knew things would be perfect. That trust was not misplaced. Vanna created the wedding of my dreams and EVERY SINGLE PERSON attending cannot stop talking about how amazing everything was. I know this review falls short of her truly incredible ability and awe-inspiring hard work so if you get anything from reading this- hire Vanna and you won't have to wonder if you will love your wedding because when you meet her you will know beyond a doubt she's the best there is and your wedding will be perfect and designed for you. -

Absolutely Amazing
Vanna and her team are absolutely AMAZING!! When I first started wedding planning I noticed very quickly how overwhelming things can be. This is when I found Blue Sparrow Events. I initially reached out because I saw how beautiful their Instagram page was but after my first over the phone meeting, I knew I made the best decision of the whole wedding process. Vanna truly listens and walks you through every single step. She lays things out so perfectly so you won’t miss a step. Her readiness to help is unbelievable and her design skills are out of this world. I chose a venue 3hrs from my home so most of our planning had to be done via phone/email and let me just say I not once felt stressed or overwhelmed and I truly believe it’s all because of her and her team. Fast forward to the wedding day, seeing my dream wedding at Contigo Ranch come to life so beautifully was unreal. If I could relive the whole entire process I would. I don’t feel like many people can truly say that but Blue Sparrow Events is simply the best. They are fun/hardworking/dedicated/talented ladies and I’m blessed I got to have them bring my dreams to life. -

Blue Sparrow Events is the best!
Vanna is truly such an incredible person. Her + Mia did such an amazing job making our special day perfect.
I met Vanna through work - I'm a venue manager here in Austin. I knew I wanted to hire the moment I met her, even though we weren't engaged yet.
At the start of the process Vanna sent over a guide full of recommendations from timeline guidelines, vendor references, and even tipping recommendations. She was so supportive throughout the process and was available for the smallest and the biggest decisions. She also did an amazing job managing vendor communication, especially the month of the wedding. She took over and made sure to prioritize us (me + the groom) not having to worry about the stress of planning so we could enjoy the last weeks of being engaged.
Another reason why Vanna stands out is because of her attention to detail and her ability to make decisions in the moment. I know first hand from working weddings that a lot of small things come up throughout the day, and how your coordinator manages those details can have a huge impact.
A lot of brides don’t see those things happening, but and that’s because you aren’t supposed to when you have a good coordinator.
It was truly the best day of our lives, and we are so thankful we had Vanna + Mia there to make that happen.
If you are still hesitant to hire Blue Sparrow Events: I have worked with many coordinators and I can tell you with full confidence as a fellow vendor and bride that you will not find any one better than Vanna. -

For any fellas reading these reviews (or Brides concerned about their grooms being reluctant participants in the planning process), Vanna & Blue Sparrow Events ("BSE") made wedding planning an enjoyable process. My wife and I hired BSE for the full-service planning and design. She pulled everything off in about 6 months. Working with Vanna is so easy because she is an extremely organized, an incredible listener, and genius visionary. She was able to take implement my wife's vision on a granular level to the point that every detail of our wedding from the ceremony, all the way down to the votives (YES-she taught me what a votive was!) said something about who we are as individuals and as a couple. She was on top of every aspect and was able to anticipate the questions and concerns of the other vendors at the outset so that nothing was left in question.
As a groom, I was hesitant to be involved in the planning meetings. But Vanna knew exactly when to include me and when to (politely) let me know that I could tune out. I was grateful for that because it allowed me to support my wife through the stressful planning process without getting in over my head (or bored out of my mind!). In the end, I never saw my wife happier than on our wedding day. It has been over two months and still not a day goes by that she doesn't bring up a memory from that day.
If this all sounds like a typical review, I should note that we planned the wedding from over 1,000 miles away. My wife and I live in Denver and got married in Austin. Additionally, Vanna had never planned a wedding at our venue (Villa Antonia) before. So, Vanna didn't just execute the perfect wedding, she did so at a venue she was (1) unfamiliar with, and (2) by working around the schedule of two busy attorneys who live in a different timezone. She was integral in helping schedule weekend meetings with vendors and late evening Skype calls to talk about the wedding. Vanna can literally do it all. I mean it when I say our wedding would not have been possible without Vanna and her BSE team. I could not recommend someone more. -

Indispensable
I can honestly say that I would not have been able to pull off my wedding without Blue Sparrow Events. Not only is Vanna extremely organized and detailed, but she has an extensive knowledge of the industry and great eye for design! Vanna made sure we had a bullet proof timeline, that all of our vendors were on the same page, and in the end that all of our decorations and design choices were put together flawlessly. She made our vision come to life and was not afraid to warn us when we were going off of the rails or trying to take on too much. The first thing I recommend to anyone who is getting engaged is to hire BSE (if available!) because it is absolutely worth every penny! -

I'm the groom celebrating our one month anniversary. Over the past month, I've been able to reflect a lot about how perfect our wedding day was and we owe that to Vanna at Blue Sparrow. There are so many decisions to make, vendors to schedule and details to plan for - the value of Blue Sparrow's service cannot be understated. My now wife and I felt that a lot of the weight was taken off of our shoulders during the wedding planning process, freeing up what little time we had after our busy work weeks. Leading up to the wedding, we were confident that we were in good hands and are super grateful for the attention to detail and effort Vanna put into our big day. We were able to sit back and truly enjoy the day without worry. Our wedding was an absolute dream - Thanks again Vanna! -

Not sure where to begin, but I'll start by saying my wedding wouldn't have been perfect if we didn't have Vanna. She covers every last detail and gave me every tip in the book to make sure our special day didn't have a single hiccup and also so I didn't spend the day stressed out. I truly knew with her there I didn't have to worry about a thing. There are so many decisions that have to be made along the way, more than you can imagine, and she helped me make nearly every one of them. She talked me out of bad ideas and coached me through the ones where a decision seemed impossible. She keeps you organized and focused on what's really important, because it's easy to get lost. Her services were worth every penny. Through it all she also became a friend. I could not recommend her more. The question now is do we have her as a guest or use her services again when it comes time to renew our vows ;) -

Words cannot express my gratitude for Vanna at Blue Sparrow Events. The first time I met Vanna, I knew she would be my perfect match. Vanna is gentle, innovative, productive, organized, and best of all PATIENT! I needed the patience because I had no idea what I wanted or needed for my wedding. Vanna was great with communication the entire time. She talked to me hours longer than needed and put in more time and effort than I could have imagined.
I started working with Blue Sparrow Events a year before my wedding. Before we signed the contract with Blue Sparrow Events, Vanna had already helped me narrow down the perfect venue for my budget. In the months up to the wedding, Vanna helped me find vendors that were in my budget and would help my vision come to life.
The weeks up to my wedding, Vanna put together the most detailed timeline for the day of the wedding with details for each vendor that she had confirmed as well as every piece of décor. She made me feel so comfortable in the week up to the wedding - knowing we had everything organized and ready to go!
The day of the wedding, Vanna was my hero. Everything came together perfectly. More perfect than I could have imagined. She calmly directed everyone and helped us to be in the right place at the right time. She was great at keeping to the schedule, yet flexible when we had to make changes.
I couldn’t be more thankful for Blue Sparrow Events. My day was the best ever because of Vanna. -

If you're a bride looking to hire THE best wedding planer in Austin, look no further.
I have been thinking of what I was going to say when I wrote this review since the very first day I met Vanna a year ago..so this may be verrrryy long.
I quickly found Vanna after searching through planners online. I never found anyone I was interested in hiring or anyone that I clicked with, until I came across Blue Sparrow Events. When I came across Vanna's Instagram page and website, I knew right away she was the person I was going to hire for the most important day of my life. When researching through other wedding planners, no one else's portfolio, instagram page, website, work ethic, passionate and bubbly personality even came close to Vanna's.
I never thought I would meet someone who was more detail oriented, creative, and as much as a perfectionist as I am. Because of this she quickly became someone I knew I wanted to have with me on my wedding day. From the beginning of our first interaction, It was clear that Vanna was going to do anything she could do to make this day perfect for my husband and I...and she did.
Hiring Vanna was THE BEST decision I made when planning my wedding. I wanted to hire a planner that allowed me to express my creativity and organizational skills, while amplifying it with their own. Someone who had all these type A personality traits, but with a calm demeanor. Vanna was all of the above. She was someone who I was able to put 100% trust in, even though I am someone who loves to be in control. When I began my wedding planning process I never thought I would be standing with any of my vendors 2 weeks before my wedding saying "Honestly, just do whatever you think." or "I trust you with whatever decisions need to be made, or whatever you think looks best" Because...being a perfectionist, thats usually not something I say, haha.
It was such a relief to have found Vanna, and be able to completely relax on my wedding day (and the days prior) knowing that she was the one making everything perfect and run smoothly. Every step along the way, she was there to make suggestions, decisions, tell me her opinion, communicate with vendors, and let us know information I would have never known on my own.
Fast forward to my wedding day, and she impressed me (and my family) even more than I thought was possible. Vanna took charge, and made everything fun, beautiful and absolutely perfect for us. I seriously had family members coming up to me at my wedding telling me how impressed they were with my wedding planner. My mom told me the day after the wedding how perfect Vanna was for me as a planner, and that she could tell the whole day that Vanna was not going to let anything go wrong or let me down.
To say that Vanna went above and beyond for me and my new husband is an understatement. With the help of my other wedding vendors (that Vanna quickly started developing relationships with) every dream I had about my wedding day came true. My wedding day seriously looked like every pinterest photo I had saved.
I am seriously going to miss having Vanna in my life! She was not only the best wedding planner I could have ever imagined hiring, she's a person I could totally see myself becoming friends with. Vanna truly was such a blessing on my wedding day and I am so grateful for her.

Jeanne Sent on 10/13/2018Where do I even begin?! Vanna was simply a GODSEND for my daughter and me in the planning of her wedding. The first time we met Vanna, I KNEW we'd made the right decision to have her lead us through this journey. Vanna is one of the sweetest, most organized, dedicated, hard-working, eager-to-please-but-all-the-while-making-sure-you-make-a-good-decision! people I've ever met. She doesn't mess around--she makes SURE every single base is covered and then has a plan B...and maybe even a Plan C just in case! She is easily accessible and puts in way more time/work than she's paid to do. We were super impressed with her in the days leading up to my daughter's wedding as she confirmed vendors and made sure we had everything in place for a smooth ceremony, but in our eyes, her ranking skyrocketed on the actual wedding day! She seemed superhuman to my husband and me as she very calmly guided and directed ALL of us...and all the while handled everything else--vendors coming and going, questions from many, keeping things on schedule, etc--and even made sure we had everything we needed! To say we couldn't have done this without her would be a complete understatement. Would we recommend her? TIME AND TIME AND TIME AGAIN!! Her incredible efforts made our daughter's wedding the best day ever! We are so THANKFUL❤️

I think wedding planning is more than just making sure your guests have a good time, it is also about the day for the couple, and I felt like that was lost for my wedding. My guests all had a great time, but I didn’t get to experience any of it. The stress started from the morning I woke up, I felt like I had no coordinator, I never knew what time it was, no one ever told me what I was supposed to be doing. I would hear from the photographer that I was running late when I had no direction on what I was supposed to be doing in the first place. I didn’t get to see half of the things I worked so hard to plan, I didn’t get to see my welcome table, seating chart, oyster shucker, vogue vignette, or photobooth. I didn’t get even 1 photobooth picture. There was several mistakes on the layout which ultimately led to very last minute changes that were so stressful to deal with. Mistakes were made with no acknowledgement. Things didn’t even make it to my reception space during the flip from ceremony to reception, with no acknowledgment. No one ever told me, I had to notice myself. When you start planning over a year in advance, you don’t expect for things like that to happen when you have had so much time to prepare. There was no sense of urgency on anything, even in the final weeks leading to the wedding. I felt like no one cared about my wedding. I felt like I had no one in my corner in the planning & coordination process. When the wedding was over I just wanted to cry because I felt like no one was checking on me throughout night or making sure I got to see key parts of my own wedding. I feel like I missed out on all of it. I felt like the experience of the day for me, the bride, was not considered or cared about at all. For how excited I was for this experience, it has been an absolute heartbreak to come to terms with.
