Our dream wedding
We feel so lucky and grateful that we got to work with Vida for our wedding at the Bahia. From the very beginning, she was responsive, kind, and so easy to talk to. Month after month, I was in contact with Vida while planning our big day, and she always got back to me quickly, went above and beyond to bring our vision to life, and made us feel so cared for throughout the entire process.
Vida is the Catering Services Manager, but she was so much more than that when it came to our wedding. She was genuinely invested in every detail, always making sure everything we envisioned was possible and came to life exactly how we dreamed of it. Her dedication, kindness, and professionalism truly set her apart; she never made me feel like a bother, no matter how many questions I had, and she always looked out for us.
Getting married at the Bahia truly was our dream wedding come to life. Our day was absolutely perfect… the venue was stunning, the food was delicious, and every staff member we encountered was friendly and professional.
The prices were reasonable, and we never felt pressured to spend more than we were comfortable with. They were understanding of our budget and helped make everything work beautifully.
We got married in the Tropical Garden and had our reception on the beach, it was beyond magical! Everything came together so perfectly that now I understand why people say it’s the most special day of your life. I truly believe a huge part of that is thanks to Vida. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience or a better person to guide us through it all. Thank you to Vida and the Bahia Team!! Xoxox

Vida is a rockstar!
We had such a wonderful experience working with Vida and the Bahia Resort Hotel for LH and Izzy’s wedding! From start to finish, Vida was an absolute dream to collaborate with — incredibly organized, responsive, and kind. She communicated clearly throughout the planning process and went above and beyond to ensure everything flowed smoothly for both the couple and our vendor team.
The Bahia Resort Hotel is such a stunning venue — it created the perfect backdrop for a timeless celebration. Vida’s professionalism and calm, accommodating nature made coordination effortless and allowed us to truly enjoy bringing the couple’s vision to life.
I can’t recommend working with Vida and the Bahia enough! They made the entire experience seamless and memorable for everyone involved. -

Amazing Venue!
The Bahia was such a perfect venue for our wedding! They were so easy to work with and reasonably affordable. Our coordinator, Vida, was wonderful. They were super flexible with our numbers and easy to work with for some late changes.
The week of our wedding, here in sunny San Diego, we were seeing rain in the forecast. We had made sure we had a backup plan when we booked, but they were super flexible as we watched the forecast, letting us make the final decision to move inside the day of the wedding. They helped make our special day imperfectly perfect. It was as if our rain plan was our original plan and everything ran seamlessly. The food was also so good! We did the short rib and macadamia crusted chicken, and both were great, we heard lots of compliments from our guests. If we had to do it all over again we would choose the Bahia every time! -

The perfect wedding at the Bahia
The Bahia was the PERFECT location for our wedding ceremony and reception. From the initial meeting, through the planning stages, and to the day-of, every single staff member, including especially our point of contact, Vida, was professional, warm, detail-oriented, and an absolute pleasure to work with. The ceremony site (we picked the pond/garden/gazebo) was stunning and the reception hall overlooking the bay and palm trees was so magical, we barely needed any extra decor as the garden and views were beautiful already! We appreciated how, despite the ceremony being outdoors, it really did feel private and intimate, with the hedges providing a secluded space for us and our guests. The suite they provided us for the night before and the night of was so spacious and comfortable, and a great location for the ladies to get ready together the day of. Truly, it was just the most perfect day, and we had zero stress, thanks to knowing the team was so incredible. Thank you so much! -

Amazing Experience
From the moment I called the Bahia and met with Laura I have been so happy with their service. Shortly after you iron out the details with Laura you meet with Vida, She is absolutely amazing as well. Almost every time I reached out with questions I received a same day response. (Even weekends) I was able to tour all of their venue options at the resort and we chose the Bahia Belle. It's a super cool three story boat that sails the bay during your wedding reception/ceremony. The staff seemlessly executed the reception. We had one small hiccup with the sound system that was immediately addressed and remedied. We were treated like the bride and groom from the moment we checked in hours early. They had our room ready within a half hour. While we waited we had some lunch at the on site restaurant that is delicious and somehow they knew we were the bride and groom and brought us a beautiful dessert on the house. The location is unmatched for the Mission beach area. The rooms on the private beach and the views are so romantic. It is very fairly priced as well. We had so many compliments from guests on the venue and how beautiful everything was. I would highly recommend the Bahia and Laura and Vida. Thank you for making our day so memorable and special. -

Dream Wedding
My husband and I, Ozan, had our wedding with the Bahia last weekend on August, 3rd, 2019. We had our ceremony in their beautiful garden and reception on their famous William D. Evans Boat. To this day, we are still talking about how perfect the wedding was! We are still receiving compliments on every detail of the wedding and venue itself. We had the pleasure of working with Jenna Nickl and Monique Milan. I still remember the day Monique gave us the tour of the venue, and we were sold! I cannot thank Jenna enough for her quick responses to my big and small requests throughout the planning process. I will, especially, never forget her helping to bustle my dress on top of the William D. Evans boat while experiencing a beautiful sunset! We were also very lucky to work with one of their planner/coordinator vendors, Blissful Weddings & Co., as well as their florist, Artistic Flowers. The entire team gave their best efforts and paid close attention to all of our detailed requests which was more than we could ask for. If you want an unforgettable experience, the Bahia is the venue for you! -

Incredible
If I had an extra million dollars to spend on my wedding I would have still have chosen the Bahia to host it. It was an absolutely perfect day. The beach was perfect for my ceremony. The William D Evans sternwheeler was perfect for my reception. My guests had what I can only call an EPIC time. It was absolutely perfect. Kelsey was amazing, the flowers were incredible, the cake was beautiful - everything was just perfect. Oh and the food! My guests said it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding, and some of my guests said it was the best salmon they had actually had in their entire life. I can not say enough good things about this venue. And the hotel gave my husband and I the most gorgeous honeymoon suite! What a perfect weekend - I could not have asked for anything more. I’m sitting outside my honeymoon suite to write this review right now - 2 days after my wedding - and I’m still having a great time enjoying this beautiful place. -

We absolutely loved having our wedding at the Bahia! We looked at almost every venue in San Diego before deciding on the Bahia for its beautful scenery and location right on Mission Bay! The Bahia also made the choice easy because they have a package for both the wedding ceremony and reception that was hard to find anywhere else for a great price! Holly Nelson helped us plan and made sure our special day was perfect. The food was amazing and the venue is the best in San Diego in my opinion. All of our guests loved the rooms the staying in and got to explore the whole venue. Overall, we highly recommend Holly and the Bahia Resort to anyone wanting a perfect wedding venue that offers beautiful views and an amazing ceremony and reception! -

While I did not get married at the Bahia, they did provide our wedding room block and we took our first look, family, and bridal party pictures in the garden. I truly want to recognize the Bahia for their excellent service, quality, flexibility, and kindness. First of all, we nearly doubled the number of rooms in our assigned block and the Bahia continued to extend the discounted room rate even though they didn't have to do so. Second, all our guests LOVED the hotel!! Everyone was extremely pleased with the service and we heard no complaints. The hotel even sent champagne and chocolate covered strawberries to our room which were waiting for us after the wedding!!
We had planned to take first look, bridal party, and family photos in the tropical garden at the Bahia before we headed to the ceremony but two days before the wedding we were worried about rain and our photographer was concerned about being able to take photos if it was drizzling. I was starting to worry and get a little upset since I didn't want all those photos to be squeezed into our hotel room so I walked over to the catering department and knocked on the door of two women having a meeting (I feel so so bad for forgetting their names!!). I was going to ask if there was any way we could do photos in the Bahia ballroom in case it rained and started to cry a little...I really didn't think I was that upset but it just all came out at once. The two women we SO KIND AND UNDERSTANDING. They got me tissues and listened to me blubber a little before telling me not to worry and ensured that it if rained we would be able to take photos in the ballroom (even though we weren't having our wedding at the Bahia or paying to use the ballroom). Their kindness came at the perfect time and truly exemplified the qualities of the Bahia staff. I would also like to thank the front desk staff who ensured we had parking for all our cars and the restaurant staff which managed our rotating cast of family each morning. -

Amazing venue! Holly (catering manager) was great and made us feel like ours was the most important weeding on her schedule, even thought there were several the weekend we were there. The William D. Evans is a stunning reception venue and the pond makes for a lovely and intimate ceremony space. Highly recommended! -

Fantastic venue for a wedding. Ours was a destination wedding for us and all our guests. Such a beautiful location, great service, unbelievable value (for both lodging and the ceremony/reception), all our guests loved the resort, the wedding went smoothly and we were able to enjoy it along with our guests. Special thanks to our planner Yinka (Freeman) and day of coordinator Jamie (Rury)... they helped us get everything right, from helping with vendor lists, setting the menu, getting the decorations up, moving people between the ceremony and reception... everything went smoothly and we were able to relax and enjoy our day. I also need to mention the food served at our reception was delicious and got rave reviews from all our guests... the event went so well, our guests enjoyed it so much, that many are already planning return trips to the Bahia just because it was so good. -

Kadi Duff and the Bahia Hotel provided the most amazing experience for our wedding. We walked down the Isle in the sand. We celebrated our reception on a boat. The food... Amazing. the atmosphere, perfect. The experience... WOW. but there is one thing that easily stood out to us, and that was the service, not only from Kadi, but the entire staff. We truly felt like the resort was ours, like there was no one else there. Our wedding was so perfect, and we can not thank the Bahia enough for making this fairytale real!! -

I planned my wedding from over the phone since I live in NyC and the staff was just amazing. They met all my desires and more. Also compared to other vendors you get so much for what you pay for. All my guest had a blast and talked about it for days. Since many guest had to travel from all over the US it made a mini vacation for everyone. I'm so happy we picked the Bahia!!! -

I just had my wedding at the Bahia on 9/21/13. The venue was amazing! We got married on the beach and had our reception in the mission ballroom. It is one of the few places in San Diego that you can get married on the actual sand through a resort. At the Bahia the resort owns the beach and therefore the only people roaming around is limited to guests. I highly recommend the Bahia for a beach ceremony. Most other places you can get married on the grass of the bay, but not the sand.
The mission ballroom is gorgeous and has an amazing view of the bay. The floor length windows truly let you and your guests enjoy it! The chandeliers are also gorgeous! Also the area is pretty private ... You have an elevator going up directly to the ballroom and your own bathrooms for the floor.
The packages at the venue are super inclusive, which we loved!! They were inclusive, but allowed for a lot of personalization and a lot of choices. It was perfect because we had a lot of choices to make, but I was not overwhelmed because the package came with certain things and it was a matter of choosing the color or between a few types or a few different vendors. There were several things you could upgrade to and the fees were not significant.
Beth Hunt is an amazing Catering Sales Manager! We loved working with her. She is easy going and super responsive and extremely helpful!! We also appreciate all the hard work of Cheryl (Banquet Captain), Event Elements (anything and everything for the tables at the reception), Edelweiss Bakery and all of the wait staff as they made our wedding amazing as well. The food was really good!! We got lots of compliments on the dinner, desert & appetizers.
I highly recommend the Bahia. There are so many perfect photo locations. For us the Bahia was perfect, it is very reasonable priced and one of the few places you can get married on the beach. Also the staff is easy to work with and very accommodating and helpful!

My husband and I were married here on September 22,2012. Lindsey B from catering was very helpful, accommodating, professional, and perfect leading up to the wedding. This venue offers a lot more than what the package says. My guest loved the ambience of Bahia Resort and the Del Mar Room. We had our ceremony in the pond area, and it was the most special moment of my life. Doug the bartender was amazing for catering to our group during the reception. We had such a great time.
Also I was planning this wedding from Nebraska, and Lindsey is def a go to girl to help get stuff done. The food was amazing and everyone raved over the desserts. -

The Bahia was great to work with. We came in with a very large group to start of 450 guests. The Bahia was very easy to work with and they took there time will all my questions and requests. The room was absolutely gorgeous and the food was spectacular. Our guest could not stop ranting about the food and how great it was. The wait staff was incredible too, the fact that all 350+ guests were eating exactly at the same time was amazing and I was so impressed! I highly recommend The Bahia -

Our overall experience was fantastic. Our coordinators Kristin, Lindsay and Jocelyn all went out of their way to keep us on track, resolve problems we had with our florist and were professional and easy to work with.
The appetizers, bar and dinner were fantastic. Not one complaint from our guests. We cruised on the Sternwheeler-not one person mentioned feeling the boat moving.
Everything was great!
My only suggestion is to be sure to have arrange for someone to help take your items from the boat. After partying this task was not easy. -

I wish I could give them more than 5 stars! We had our ceremony on the beach and then the reception was on the William D. Evans sternwheeler. The entire event was beautiful and the venue was stunning! We loved the idea of having the reception on a boat and had looked at several other options before finding the Bahia. The other boats were much smaller, less impressive (the William D. Evans is truly a sight to see...huge, stained glass ceiling, lots of seating, has an elevator and much more!) and more money! This was a real deal for the price! Our coordinator, Kristin, was superb through the whole process answering all of my questions quickly and offering advice when needed. She set everything up (tables, centerpieces, flower arrangements, etc) better than I was even expecting! The food was excellent, bartenders were great and all the staff were professional and eager to please.
Overall the wedding went off without a single hitch and I would recommend the Bahia to anyone looking for a worry free day! -

We booked the Bahia Resort Hotel for our wedding night and the night after. We wanted to stay somewhere close to home but that would still give us the feel of being on a little honeymoon...we definately chose the right place! What more could you ask for really? We had a nice sized room that you couldn't help but want to cozy up next to your new spouse in! We chose a bay front room with a king bed, we had a private patio that opened up onto the Bahia's private beach. We could walk from our patio to the sand/water within 15 seconds! When I booked it, I NEVER thought it could possibly be so close to the water...it was amazing! One entire wall of the room was glass windows and a sliding glass door...so we could just sit back in the room and watch the beautiful water...it was very romantic :) We felt like we were in our own little cottage on the beach! My husband and I are very much animal lovers so when we awoke in the morning to find little ducks out on the patio we were in heaven! We grabbed some cookies and pizza crust and sat outside feeding the birds for about an hour...there's nothing we could have chosen that would have been better to wake up to the day after our wedding :) We truly enjoyed our stay at the Bahia. The staff was very friendly, we got an awesome deal on the room and everything was just picture perfect! The bed was very comfortable and they provide tons of extra pillows without you even having to ask. The Bahia is very close to so many attractions so it was perfect for our short 2 day honeymoon. We went out to eat, saw a movie, and walked around beautiful Seaport Village. It was a perfect relaxing end to all the months of wedding planning and then the wedding day....a little piece of heaven! We would definately return again! -

My wedding couldn't have turned out more beautiful. Everything went extremely smoothly and looked amazing. I truly believe without the Bahia's catering staff's detailed attention to our event this would not have been possible. They went above and beyond to make our event special and treated us as if we were the only one's getting married there. We had such personalized attention, support, feedback, and ultimately an extremely successful wedding. We got such a great deal we were exteremly pleased! I would recommend this venue to anyone wanting to get married in San Diego. Our reception was on the William D. Evans Stermwheeler and people just loved it! -

Our ceremony and reception were absolutely PERFECT. Everything was set up and ready in time and went so smoothly. Our reception was in the Mission Bay ballroom, and we could see the sunset over the beach on one side, then the Sea World fireworks later on the other side! Kristin was our catering manager and she was sooo awesome. I emailed her practically every other day with new questions (because I am crazy about things being perfect) and she was always on top of everything. We also had a complimentary room right on the bay, which was huge and had a grogeous view. -

Amazing Day!
We loved our wedding at Bahia, we would do it again in a heartbeat. Jenna did an amazing job communicating with us leading up to that day. Beautiful location, yummy food and tons of fun. -

True Fairy Tale
Not going to lie, started rough with communication being missed from time to time (on both sides) but they made up for it and created a magical night for me and my hubby. We had a Beauty and Beast themed wedding and they were able to create the magic for us that night from the chandeliers to the amazing views of the bay. My only advice for any future bride that books this venue, make sure your wedding coordinator or day of coordinator knows what they need to do and shows up on time... other than that the staff was very helpful to make up for my wedding coordinator not being there on time and helped my family do the set up. :) -

We LOVED having our wedding at the Bahia, and working with Kadi as our catering coordinator was great! She was very prompt in responding to my millions of questions and was always friendly, providing great ideas. Our ceremony was held on the Bahia's private beach on the San Diego Bay, followed by our reception aboard the William D. Evans boat. It was SO much fun, and the food was fabulous! We did the stations, and I would highly recommend the mashed potato martini bar. Our guests are still talking about how delicious it was. We were very happy with our choice to have our wedding at the Bahia and enjoyed staying with many of our guests and families at the hotel. It was great to have everything in one place, so the party felt like it lasted several days! -

Beth as our coordinator for our May wedding. She was amazing. We started out with another person who left partway through our plans. I was a little worried since we met and told the first person everything we wanted. I didn't get to meet Beth until 2 days before our wedding but she did everything she could to make our dream wedding possible. She worked with the florist who was giving us a hard time, worked it out so the hotel would pay for the maximum slices of cake, and worked really hard to provide other extras to use up our funds when a lot of our guests cancelled. Our wedding turned out beautiful. It was everything we wanted, in terms of beauty and setup. The two things we were unhappy about in the end was having both our Oakley sunglasses stolen by cater staff at the end of our wedding, and having the wrong dressing for our salad. All in all, the Bahia was a great choice and we felt very satisfied with our experience. I would really recommend Beth as she went above and beyond... -

I would highly recommend The Bahia Resort Hotel for a wedding. Most of our guests were traveling from out of town to attend our wedding. I was looking for a place that everyone could stay and spend as much time together as possible. The Bahia was absolutely fantastic. They have a variety of rooms, and even though this property is a little older, each room felt comfortable, clean and spacious. We attended the California Beach party on Thursday night as our welcome dinner. The food was great! Friday day we relaxed by the pool that offers a pool side bar, food hot off the grill, and really good live music!
Saturday was wedding day! The bridal party got ready in my mothers bay side suite which was so convenient. The Bahia offers a beach wedding ceremony and a garden ceremony with a gazebo and a pond. We chose the garden ceremony. It was private and shaded. Our guests absolutely loved it. I especially loved all the beautiful landscaping which saved me from having to decorate!
Our reception was held on the William D. Evan boat. I cannot tell you how many compliments we received on this reception venue. So unique and soooo beautiful!! I did not have a photo booth or any other activities really because just being on the boat was special for our guests. The food was absolutely delicious! Even the filet.. cooked to perfection.
Overall, what I liked most about this venue was all of the vendors that were provided. When you book your wedding here you get your choice of 2 ceremony spaces with chairs, water station, and floral decorations. 2 reception spaces with tables, linens, chairs, all dishware, service staff, food, cake (which was absolutely delicious), one hour of open bar during cocktail hour, champagne and wine during dinner. Oh, and a free night stay for the bride and groom!
The memories we created here last week will last a life time. If you are looking for a destination wedding feel, with fantastic food and service book the Bahia! -

The location was perfect! It was great to have our ceremony and reception all in the same place......our guests did not have to drive anywhere. Everything turned out beautifully and our wedding was exactly how we pictured it would be. The Bahia took care of so much for us which took away a lot of wedding stress!! -

We had our wedding June 19th 2010 on the William D. Evans Sternwheeler. It was a blast. All the staff on the boat were great! We even got our very own fire work show due to Seaworld summer nights. Kristen our catering manager was very flexible, though sometimes hard to reach however she did always get back to us even if it was a few days later. Our guests loved the food and the view from the upper deck. We also got a complimentary suite on the private beach facing our boat. EXCELLENT -

Unique venue, great food!
We chose Bahia because we could have our ceremony on a private beach and because they allow dogs. We loved our wedding and the venue. It was as expensive as most other venues, but the space (beach & William D. Evans) was unique and perfect for our wedding. One challenge was parking; there's no on-site parking for wedding guests, just hotel guests. There's a public parking lot adjacent to the resort, but it was a walk for our guests who weren't staying at the Bahia. The guest rooms were fine, a bit pricey for the room quality. We had a few guests stay at the Bahia and no one had a great experience, just fine. No complaints, just an older place with no upgrades. Also, our contact changed three times in the 18-24 months leading up to the wedding. It was fine because each contact was great; Rachel, our last contact, was wonderful. But this made getting answers to our questions difficult.
The Bahia includes the cake through Fab Cakes which was DELICIOUS, however, we were told that any cake (within reason) would be included...apparently this means frosting only. The design did not include flowers or anything other than the basic frosting. It really was delicious, but our florist ended up placing the flowers on the cake. I think a better description would be "basic cake" as part of the package.
The ceremony also included a florist, which was great, but that contact also changed.
We had little contact with that florist, but they did coordinate with our florist to make the decor flow.
Overall, it was the best location for our wedding. We had small bumps in the road, but we loved our wedding and the food was exceptional. We did not hear one negative comment about the food. We had chicken, ravioli, and mahi-mahi as the options; all three options were delicious. I would love to eat that food again. Thank you, Rachel, for jumping in and helping make our wedding perfect.

My wedding at the Bahia Hotel was a mixture of positivity and hair ripping frustration. I will say that if you are a creative bride who wants some flexibility to incorporate your own schedule and style to your wedding...don't go to the Bahia for your wedding. If you are a bride who wants someone else to plan your schedule down to a tee, decide when you eat and how much you eat (even though you paid for it all), by all means plan your wedding at the Bahia.
I will say that the culinary coordinator Beth worked her butt off to help us plan. I appreciate her going to bat for us even when the higher ups made many promises and then broke them or changed their mind at the last minute. As I mentioned earlier, the Bahia people seem to want to plan your wedding according to a schedule, especially if you have your wedding on one of the beautiful steam ships. We wanted to have time to mingle and see everyone there but during the reception, the servers watched us like hawks and gave a rather tense feeling. I didn't let that bother me but what did bother me is when we were scheduled to take off and everyone wanted to see the boat sailing, our food was taken away. And it was barely touched! The food was rather costly at $10-$15 per plate and we were given the reason that it couldn't stay out too long or else it would go bad because it was meat. Um, you have a fridge e in the back kitchen I'm sure. Maybe save it until we can take it home. After all, we paid for it. We were warned that we had to give an exact number of guests so they can make the exact number of servings or else "they were taking a loss". I was told that the hotel was already taking a loss and this would make it more so.
I didn't let any of this bother me because I was marrying the man that I love but it really put a damper on the 'party' part of the whole wedding. Was I glad I did it? Yes, but that was mainly because of family and friends. Jamie rocked and kept my nerves at bay. Best coordinator in town! -

We had our wedding room block here. I only would suggest it based on its location. I had many guests who had issues checking in, they gave my bridal room with a clogged shower (just perfect for the day to get ready) and when asked to be moved the girl was beyond rude. Also, they tried to give me and my husband our honeymoon suite right next to my moms room and didn't understand why we wanted to be moved. They kept arguing with my Matron of Honor and finally moved us two rooms away. Overall, this place is not amazing. It is a hotel that has prime location and treats the guests like they are in their way. I wish I had nicer things to say because when booking the room block, the girls were very helpful but the weekend of was another story. -

Overall, I think we had a pretty issue free wedding at this venue. They were nice, but semi-disorganized. Pros: The location was beautiful (the ballroom) and it made getting married on the beach much easier at reserving the beach space. Cons: The food servers has a difficult time dealing with an issue or change (such as a guest who noticed the chicken was undercooked) and I honestly do not think the catering/wedding coordinators were that organized. The sales department also messed up our room block many times. -

Beautiful venue, but most stressful experience
I have several pages written of our experience (I'll attach here for the full story), but I've condensed it for an overview as pros and cons:
Pro:
-Beautiful location. We had our ceremony on the beach and reception on the William D Evans boat and that was an incredibly unique experience
-They offer a lot in their packages for a decent(ish) price
-Luckily lots of positive feedback from our guests, even though the wedding party was stressed to the max because of the venue and staff
Cons:
-HORRIBLE customer service. From start to finish, it felt like a fight just to get information or even things that we agreed to originally. Any small request like having a signature cocktail at the wedding was immediately shot down. They were not accommodating at all without us putting up a fight or try to charge extra for it (see below).
-Every little thing was extra. I get that most wedding venues do this, but there were things that felt like hidden fees. For example, we had the ceremony on the beach (which was already an extra cost) and were under the impression that the cocktail hour would be there as well. They tried to charge us extra for that. Also they tried to charge us for our dogs being there with us (even though it's a dog friendly resort and we told them the dogs would be there) and they even tried to charge us AFTER the wedding for our photographers having a drink at the bar - even though we had already paid for them in the guest count.
-The bar tender at our reception was incredibly rude to the guests, and not particularly friendly with the bride and groom either. I don't know if she had a chip on her shoulder or what, but we paid a required 25% gratuity in advance that I'm sure she was included in, and I'm sure she would have gotten more cash tips if she had been friendlier throughout the night. She refused service to a guest who she thought was only a vendor, and actually refused to serve me - the bride - at the end of the night because she had started packing up. Not worth 25% in my opinion and not the kind of energy you want at your wedding.
There's so much more that went on in my short few months of dealing with the Bahia, but in short, while it's a beautiful venue in a great location, I would have taken my wedding elsewhere. Just be prepared to fight for what really matters to you in your wedding. My biggest advice would be to hire an excellent wedding coordinator as they require you to hire one anyway - I highly recommend Giulia with GiuliaEvents.com - and don't expect them to make you feel special or excited that you decided to spend a lot of money by choosing this venue for your wedding. -

The only reason they get 1/2 a star is because of the location. The catering office was almost impossible for us to work with over the year of our planning. On the day of our wedding the coordinator was incredibly rude to our wedding party. We paid for her to be there for our whole wedding and she left as soon as the reception began. Thank god we had an amazing DJ that knew what he was doing to keep everything running on schedule or it would've been a huge mess. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!!!! -
