My husband and I got married in April 2026 in Dripping Springs, and our wedding was anything but standard - we blended a Baptist ceremony with a Persian Aghd, which meant two distinct traditions, two sets of family expectations, and a sofreh setup that most planners have never touched. Rosa didn't just accommodate it; she understood it. She asked the right questions early, researched what she didn't know, and treated both ceremonies with equal reverence. That alone would have made her worth every penny.
But what really set Rosa apart was her vendor coordination. She managed our florist, caterer, officiants, photographer, DJ, and rentals like a conductor - everyone knew where to be, what to do, and when. The timeline she built was meticulous, and she proactively flagged conflicts I never would have caught (load-in windows, ceremony transition timing, even how long the Aghd would realistically take vs. what we'd budgeted). She negotiated thoughtfully on our behalf and was honest when something wasn't worth the spend.
Day-of, she was unflappable. A few things went sideways behind the scenes - they always do - and I genuinely didn't hear about any of it until weeks later. That's the mark of a great planner: you should feel like a guest at your own wedding, and Rosa made sure we did. My husband and I were fully present for every moment because we trusted her completely.
A few specific things I want to call out:
- She built a custom timeline that accounted for both ceremonies and gave our families clear expectations
- She coordinated directly with our Persian family on Aghd traditions so I didn't have to translate between worlds
- She handled a last-minute vendor issue with zero drama and advocated for refunds and credits when service was anything less than promised
- She kept us on budget without ever making it feel transactional
If you're planning a multicultural wedding, a Hill Country wedding, or honestly any wedding where you want to actually enjoy the day - hire Rosa. She's organized, warm, deeply experienced, and somehow makes the whole process feel less like a project and more like a partnership.

We highly Recommend Rosa at AWP
From the very start our planner Rosa at AWP worked very hard. She had tons of awesome vendor recommendations and really got the ball rolling for everything. She was always available for my countless questions and had so much experience to offer. At no point did we ever feel like this was just a job to her, she really, deeply cared about us and making sure we were happy. She was able to notice whenever I got stressed and she'd offer advice and handle anything that would come up. We wouldn't of had a wedding if it weren't for all her hard work. She managed all of the vendors, communicated with everyone and planned out a very detailed timeline and schematics. I consider myself to be fairly hands on as it relates to planning, but Rosa's attention to detail and her dedication to ensuring everything ran smoothly was evident from the very first meeting. We live in South Carolina and felt that we could use expert help planning for and executing a rehearsal/welcome party in Austin. The bride and her family were already working with Austin Wedding Planners and we reached out to see if Rosa and her team would be able to help us with our welcome party.
Our party went off without a hitch! Rosa is an excellent listener and communicator and that made us comfortable from the start. Rosa facilitated all of the meetings with the vendors and helped us choose the best ones for our party and the vendors did not disappoint!
Everything was set up and ready to go when we arrived. The flowers from West Bank Flower Market were gorgeous, the food and drink from Maudie’sTex Mex/Specs were delicious and the photographers from Main Squeeze Photography were such fun and took great pictures to help us remember the evening.
Rosa’s attention to every single detail resulted in a seemingly effortless party for our family and friends. I had a friend comment that I looked so relaxed in the pictures from the party and I told them I was- because I KNEW that Rosa and her team had everything taken care of.

Anyone looking for a wedding planner in Austin should hire Rosa. Our wedding was beautiful, perfect, and nearly stress-free - I don’t think that would have happened without Rosa’s help every step of the way. Her vendor recommendations were sublime. Her strong ability to follow-up meant that I didn’t have to worry about getting responses. Her coordination with the vendors on the schedule and the day of, working with the venue on table layout, fan placement, and meal tastings, helping me look for missing bridesmaids and photographers, solving an issue with the cake, lining up family members for the procession, and so much more! - All this meant that I could just enjoy the process of getting married rather than stress the details, which Rosa took care of! Beyond just being amazing at her job, Rosa is such a lovely person to work with. You meet with your wedding planner quite often during tastings, vendor and venue meetings, and of course the day of the wedding, so I think it’s important to enjoy being around them. Such a wonderful experience!
I came to Rosa about 5 weeks out from my wedding and she was able to step in and help me tie up all the loose ends. Her and her team were so extremely helpful on the day of! As I learned, before - and especially during - your wedding, you need an experienced, decisive, well-connected, communicative planner. Rosa is all of those things.
Some highlights of our experience:
-Intimate knowledge of Austin-area venues, caterers, DJs, bakers, florists, and more (stuff I can't remember - why we needed Rosa): all of the recommendations were excellent (DJ Mike, Michelle's Patisserie, Umlauf Sculpture Garden, Westbank Flower Market)
-A meeting with my wife's mom before the wedding to walk her through the venue
-An initial consultation at her house where she listened and asked the important questions
-Detailed day-of logistics / choreography run-through before the wedding
-Meetings with multiple caterers
-(Maybe most important) Day of decisiveness meaning we did not have to make decisions, worry, or miss important time with family (for example, we ran out of booze, and she made it quickly reappear)

I had the most wonderful experience working with Rosa for my wedding. She was knowledgeable, personable, and attentive to the smallest details. She helped me plan every aspect of my big day, from the venue to the flowers to the music. Rosa listened to my vision and made it a reality. She was always available to answer my questions and offer suggestions – she is great at scheduling calls and checking in with her clients (and was flexible around my busy travel schedule!). She handled everything with professionalism and grace – including a bridesmaid wardrobe mishap (which she fixed on the spot) and emotional guests. She made the whole process stress-free and enjoyable for myself and my husband. We were able to arrive at the reception knowing everything would be set just how we wanted and that Rosa would answer any questions from guests. I received numerous compliments from guests on how kind, organized, and helpful Rosa was on the day of the wedding, including a compliment from my father-in-law on how organic and natural the schedule of events flowed! All I can say is WOW.
Our wedding day was perfect based on our experience and our guest's feedback. If anything went wrong, we never knew about it. From start to finish, the execution and coordination were top-notch. Our families and wedding party also loved Rosa. She had every detail on lock, and given she's been doing weddings for over a decade, she's worked with almost every vendor in Austin and has excellent relationships with all of them.
She was a fantastic partner to work with and became like part of our family and also a friend!

Rosa Gibson and her team at Austin Wedding Planners were wonderful to work with, and we would hire her every time. We came to Rosa about a year before the wedding date. We had our venues and one or two vendors picked out. We hired Rosa for her consulting services, and her timeline planning and running of the big day. As mother-of-the-bride, I had a lot of anxiety about pulling this all together and keeping within budget, but with Rosa as our guide we accomplished all our goals and had such great support! Rosa is so positive in her attitude, super knowledgeable in the service and field, generous with her time, and really became a sweet friend over the year we spent working with her. Her suggestions and advice were always spot on. The vendors we hired through her counsel were great and within budget. We were very happy with their services. One week before the wedding, we did have a few wrinkles pop up, but Rosa navigated it all with ease due to her calm, positive approach to it all. She was able to advise and encourage us in how to proceed on our end as well, which really made things turn out well. The day of the wedding, I didn’t even worry. After working with Rosa and her team over the year, I knew we were in good hands. I was able to enjoy and be at the party as Rosa handled everything and the timeline ran so smooth. I was probably the very annoying type of bride in that I didn't have strong opinions, procrastinated, and waffled over every decision. Who you choose to help plan your wedding can really make or break your experience, and thanks to Rosa and her team at Austin Wedding Planners we were able to make our dream wedding happen! From the get go Rosa was incredibly invested in us as a couple and wanted to not only help us plan a wonderful wedding but also make an honest connection so that the planning process was as fun and painless as possible. We got extra help from her on choosing our vendors and details for our caterer and florist; we can’t imagine going through those processes without her. Rosa helped us go into our wedding month and week with the confidence that everything would go smoothly and it did!
On the day, our wedding was coordinated by Richard (her husband and great business partner to her) and Deidre from her team with regular check-ins from Rosa. They all did such a fantastic job. We didn’t have to lift a finger (and even when I instinctually tried to, Deidre very kindly and gently reminded me that I should relax and enjoy it all). Being able to soak in your wedding day without a worry is priceless, and they helped us achieve that.
We simply could not have planned such a beautiful wedding without Rosa. Her husband, Richard, and Deidre from her team did such a wonderful time coordinating our wedding on the day as well. It’s not just us who loved the day, all our family and friends can talk about is how well everything came together and what a blast they had! We cannot recommend Austin Wedding Planners enough. If you book with Rosa, she will ensure that you have a wonderful wedding reflective of who you are and what matters to you! -

Working with Rosa and Austin Wedding Planners is definitely one of the best decisions we made when planning our wedding. Rosa is extremely knowledgeable and organized, we never had to worry about anything slipping through the cracks. On the big day, my husband and I were able to sit back and simply enjoy. Rosa made sure everything went off without a hitch, took charge of every detail, and made sure we could take everything in while keeping us on schedule. Rosa was a lifesaver when it came to our wedding planning process. We had actually been planning on our own for a while, but as the wedding grew closer, we decided we needed professional help and hired Rosa on. Thank goodness we did, or who knows how many disasters we would have had! The first thing she noticed was that our original catering company wasn't "full service" which meant we would have to figure out all the setup/breakdown and bussing on our own! She worked quickly to find us a new vendor close in price and the same style of food. She really thinks of everything, and is closely involved in the planning process. Our wedding and rehearsal dinner went so smoothly, and it was such a relief knowing she was there to stay on top of everything. I am so glad we had her help! -

We moved to Texas during the pandemic, and were pretty anxious about planning a wedding in a city/state that was new to both of us. Hiring Rosa/Austin Wedding Planners to coordinate our meeting was the *best* decision we ever made! She was brimming with excitement and ideas from the moment we met her, and through the entire process.
Throughout the wedding planning process, Rosa was incredibly knowledgeable and supportive of our ideas, working with us to put together our dream wedding. She was able to suggest phenomenal vendors, including our caterer and florist, and was always very conscious about our budget. We were especially grateful to our regular meetings to touch base on the vendor contracts, guests list, and schedule, and all the little tiny details of a wedding.

Let me begin by saying that I am a pandemic bride. I became engaged 2019 and had begun planning for 2020 alongside Rosa and AWP. From the moment we had our first appointment, Rosa is and has been: professional, poised, respectful, transparent, helpful, charming, resourceful, not to mention she has absolutely fabulous taste. About eight weeks before the big day, my now husband and I made the incredibly hard decision to postpone our nuptials for a year due to skyrocketing cases of Covid and severe restrictions in Central Texas. I can truly and deeply attest that had it not been for Rosa's support, professionalism, and extensive connections throughout the industry, there would have been no wedding, like I literally would've just gone to the JP and Waffle House because the particular task of having to re-plan everything seemed just so terrifying. But... not only did she talk me down (endlessly) from losing my sh!t, she gently and precisely guided me through the process of re-scheduling every vendor from one date to another - I didn't lose a single one! She wisely advised on what steps I needed to take by what date, what trends were gaining popularity, helped me in the dress-selecting process, and she even accompanied me to the rentals showroom to pick out plates and table runners. To put it in Texan, Rosa was the left tackle to my quarterback. She was more than a coordinator, she was INVESTED. And Y'ALL. LET ME TELL YOU. I didn't even KNOW she had other brides, that's how dedicated she is to her craft, because let's be honest, watching her work on the day of my wedding was like watching a conductor direct an intricate symphony of chaos and vendors and just nailing it. Her presence was beyond a comfort, especially to me, and on my wedding day everything went exactly how I had dreamt it, not a hair out of place, not a ceremony chair out of line, not a sour note or cold plate anywhere. There are truly no words to describe or express what an absolutely immaculate job Rosa and AWP did for this anxious bride. I am so blessed to have found such a fantastic, stand-up woman supporting me through one of the happiest (and hardest!) moments in my life. I know wedding planners can be an extra expense when you’re looking at how to save money for a wedding, but the number of headaches and amount of anxiety that I avoided was totally worth the price. When my husband and I got engaged, we had made an initial guest list to help identify how big of a venue we would need. The venue stated that we had to hire a day-of wedding coordinator, which was something I had already considered, but having that decision made for us actually helped.
After interviewing several wedding coordinators and wedding coordinating companies, we discussed it and chose Rosa. She had years of experience, had several glowing reviews, and most importantly, seemed to genuinely want to help us have the wedding that we wanted. She was always extremely enthusiastic and joyful about our ideas. When there were times that our ideas didn’t seem quite plausible, she helped nudge us in the right direction without being too forceful and always explained her reasonings so that we didn’t feel that she just wanted what was easiest for her.
She always gave us several recommendations for each vendor type and then introduced us via email to get the ball rolling. As the wedding got closer, she was more and more in touch and helped everything stay on time and organized. The day of the wedding, she worked behind the scenes so that I didn’t have to worry about a thing and kept us all on track. I’m always at least 5 minutes late to everything and she even included that in her plan so I was on time for once in my entire life!
After the wedding, my friends said that she was able to help keep all the packing up organized and everyone knew their roles. She even made sure to save my husband and myself to-go boxes so that we wouldn’t be hungry late at night. Turns out those to-go boxes had enough food for the two of us to eat for about 5 more days, but it was delicious, so we didn’t mind!

Here I am finally writing a well overdue review of a 2018. Cinco de Mayo wedding, all because there is just so much to say and could not possibly express in words how amazing they are. Rosa and Richard are both miracle workers!
I contacted Rosa less than 2 months before my wedding, and she was my main point of contact who jumped right into planning. I can't tell you how many qualities these folks possess - strong work ethic, diligent, detail oriented, flexible, and always thoughtful of her clients. I'm a very particular person who gets involved in a lot of details with very high standards. She surpassed my expectations!
There are a lot of examples I can list but will focus on a couple of specific things that happened that show how they are the absolute best in town, and the reason you should hire Austin Wedding Planners.
An entertainment vendor of mine cancelled on me the day before the event. Rosa called assuring me she already had a backup person aligned without me needing to find someone else myself. What a relief!
My husband had left the party favors we were supposed to put together back at the venue the night before. At that point I just said F it, guess guests wont be getting our awesome party favors.... To my surprise, when we arrived the day of, without even asking, her team had helped assemble and package the favors! This was an example of them going above and beyond whatever I expected.
I also had an extremely difficult time reaching some of the vendors I had contracted with before I hired AWP. She stepped in and took care of every detail for me every step of the way, including scheduled timelines and making sure everyone is on task the day of the event - not to mention how fantastically well dressed they were!
My wedding was unforgettable, beautiful, and goddam stellar of a party. It wouldn't have been that way without their involvement. Rosa and Richard weren't just our wedding planners for 1 day.... they've become our personal friends and continue to stay in touch even after 2 years. -

As other reviewers mention, Rosa was crucial for the success of our wedding and I could go on gushing about what an amazing person she is but let's get down to the brass tax. Wedding planners are an added cost for any budget. Unlike other planners, Rosa more than covered the costs of her own services not just in time she saved me with vendor recommendations but in savings we realized by using her as our wedding planner:
1) 10% off entire catering order for 140 people by having direct relationship with caterer!
2) 10% off event rentals for having wedding planner discount!
3) 10% off from baker again for 140 people by having direct relationship with Rosa!
The amount of savings from vendors more than justified Rosa as our wedding planner. You really should look no further because she is the right choice economically and professionally.
Now for the gushing. Rosa was a God send for our wedding and remained the consummate professional with the utmost attention to detail but more importantly she became a friend through this process so much so that she and Richard even attended our rehearsal dinner as guests. Without Rosa our wedding would not have been such a roaring success. I'm so glad we hired her and I give my sincerest and highest recommendation of her to anyone looking for a wedding planner.

Rosa was so wonderful to work with! My wedding wouldn’t have been so amazing if it wasn’t for her and the rest of AWP. Rosa helped ensure all of our contracts were as they should be, and was very helpful when communicating with vendors. She gave great recommendations as well, from vendors to our timeline. She is such a natural at wedding planning and I can’t thank her enough for all that she did for me! Even though there was an 80% chance of rain the day of my wedding, she remained calm and helped me stay calm and promised rain or shine I’d have the wedding of my dreams. The rain stopped right before the ceremony and everything was perfect! Rosa and her team did so much behind the scenes work the day of the wedding that I didn’t have to worry about a thing, which is exactly what I wanted (and what my hubby wanted for me). I was able to have fun and relax with my bridesmaids while getting ready and wasn’t stressed over the little things because I knew Rosa was taking care of everything for me. She knew my vision inside and out and helped me execute it perfectly. She’s seriously the sweetest and is so hardworking. AWP made our wedding stress-free and seamless
We had a small wedding with about 30 guests, and I initially intended to plan and execute everything on my own, with some help from the venue's manager. Wedding planning was a lot harder than I expected, even for a small wedding and even as a hyper-organized bride. A few months before the wedding, I realized I needed some help, and it was kismet when I met Rosa.
Rosa served as our day of coordinator, but she helped me in the months leading up to the wedding, recommending vendors as needed and checking in with me to see if I had any questions and offer suggestions, ideas, and helpful checklists. There were a lot of things I had no idea I needed to think about, so it was really helpful to have Rosa and AWP on my side.
The weekend of the wedding, Rosa and her team helped everything run smoothly. She ran our rehearsal, picked up all of the various items that needed to be displayed, set up, etc., and kept everything on schedule. As the bride, I didn't have to worry about anything. All day, I kept marveling at how everything came together. Without a doubt, things wouldn't have flowed like they did without AWP. We are so thankful for all of AWP's help in making our wedding such a special, stress-free, beautiful day. -

Rosa and Austin Wedding Planners were amazing!
Rosa was not only our Wedding Planner, but she became a friend throughout the process. She truly cares about making the day you dream of come to life. Rosa takes the time to get to know you, your partner, both your personalities, your chemistry with one another and, your wedding ambiance/vibe you strive for.
Rosa was very good about keeping us on track and on schedule. Also appreciated that when we procrastinated on certain decisions we needed to make, or we fell behind her schedule, Rosa was realistic about how much time we had and didn't panic or freak out.
As a testament to her professionalism, you could really tell she has the respect of her peers. When we spoke to all of our vendors, especially the venue, officiant, florist and caterer (which have the best insight to how good a coordinator is) they were all delighted to hear we were using Rosa, and both excited and at ease knowing they would be working with her.
Rosa is extremely detail oriented and punctual, obviously two very important traits for an event planner. But she also did a really great job of adapting to our personalities. We cannot say enough good things about our experience with Rosa and we would recommend her over and over again!
