Amazing staff
We hired Austin Occasions servers and bartenders and every single one of them was AMAZING! We had a rain plan and a no-rain plan, and as it is Texas, the weather decided to do its own thing, which meant we went with neither plan! All the staff were extremely helpful in setting up what was needed and making changes on the fly, all while still providing an excellent experience for us and our guests. Would definitely hire again for future events! -

What an amazing wedding day!
Camille and her staff made our wedding everything that we could’ve dreamed! We used her services for Day-Of Coordinating and staffing.
We had been feeling extremely out of our depth with wedding planning. We had a ton of family coming in from out of town and we were concerned about getting everyone there, getting all the materials there, and we felt like we were losing sight of the actual goal: to get married.
Camille made the day so easy for us. All the worries and concerns that had been building up in the months leading up to the wedding felt heard and understood from our very first meeting. She asked us all the right questions, and made the whole thing seem doable, and more than that actually made the whole wedding doable.
My wife and I tend to be planners so everyone was very concerned about us actually kicking back and enjoying our wedding instead of micromanaging everything from the sidelines. From the moment we arrived at the venue on the big day, it was clear that everything was taken care of! My mom rolled up with a trailer filled to the brim with all our wedding things, and Camille and her staff took over arranging everything including our archway exactly as we had pictured it! She followed all of our requests and anything that we didn’t explicitly discuss was arranged beautifully without adding any additional stress to our plates.
Throughout the night her staff was professional and accommodating. They handled set up of everything for the wedding including the archway, decorations for the ceremony, table settings, the welcome table, as well as serving the food, providing bartenders, and putting everything away at the end of the night. We got endless compliments from our friends and family over how beautifully everything was done and we were blown away ourselves!
Camille made sure we were taken care of with everything for the night. She made sure we had plates of food once dinner was started, she kept us hydrated, and kept us on our timeline so we didn’t miss out on photography, cake cutting, and every other event we had outlined.
Overall, I would absolutely recommend Austin Occasions to anyone getting married. It was so worth it! -

Wow - amazing team and service!
Melissa and her team were amazing. From the moment I sent an inquiry to the farewell at the end of our evening, we were so glad that we found Austin Occasions. We found their packages easy to select from and Melissa also provided a number of recommendations (what we might need, what we didn’t need) that were greatly appreciated. Even when we had a last minute change in venue (as in, the day before), Austin Occasions didn’t skip a beat. Every single team member at our event was pleasant, professional, attentive, and made things so easy. B was a wonderful crew leader and very helpful with facilitating decisions about where to set up, our place settings, and keeping things on track. So glad we worked with Austin Occasions and will definitely be using them in the future when the need arises. We hope the crew had fun at our wedding - thanks to AO, we sure did! -

Helped us stay on track and think through all the details for a DIY event
Melissa truly put us at ease as we planned our DIY wedding for 180 people. It was the first wedding we'd planned and she helped us think through all of the little things - We hadn't even considered thinking of how to bring home the extra food! She helped organize and execute our personalized and atypical ceremony (we created it ourselves) and made sure all of our guests enjoyed themselves. And she also made all of our bouquets and boutonnieres!
The run of show was seamless - checking in when it was time for toasts, cake and send off while adapting throughout the night as things moved quicker or slower than expected. Melissa and her team were great - the bartenders were some of the friendliest wedding bartenders I've ever experienced! We could easily say "do what you think is best" and know that she would choose an option that we may not have thought of but would fit our event perfectly.Austin Occasions's reply:

Wonderful Experience
Our experience with Melissa Benavides at Austin Occasions could not have been better. She and her entire team are thoughtful, hard working and fun! They went above and beyond to help us pull off a wonderful event for our daughter and her new husband. Quick to response and very professional!
I had my wedding on March 9th, 2019 and reached out to them a couple months before and they responded instantly. I spoke with Melissa a couple times over the phone and she was very quick to answer questions and respond to all of my emails!
The ladies who were at the wedding were professional and did everything from serving drinks to picking up trash and cutting the cake. I couldn't have asked for a better team! Thank y'all so much for making our wedding amazing!Austin Occasions's reply:

Personable and Professional
Sarah and Norah were absolutely AMAZING at the most recent wedding I worked. Not only were they attentive to the guests to create an intimate and memorable experience throughout the evening, but they were so kind and responsive to the tasks that I gave them throughout the night. Melissa is absolutely amazing. My goal when I got married was to keep it as stress free as possible - I planned what I thought was a pretty simple wedding and I honestly didn't think I needed a planner or a coordinator. I was wrong. If Melissa had not been a part of our wedding, it would have been a mess. We turned cabins on the river into our venue so everything was pretty DIY and Melissa's input was invaluable. She helped me determine how much beer & wine to buy (we had the PERFECT amount), how to coordinate the food truck, helped me pick out my flowers, the list goes on and on. Melissa was there for our entire wedding weekend and she worked the whole time making sure everything was perfect. She not only made sure everything was set up & everything happened on time, but she went above and beyond. We did everything pretty non-traditional so we didn't have a time for speeches planned. She encouraged us to see if anyone wanted to say something, and I am SO GLAD she did. It was one of the most memorable moments of the evening. She also made sure to set up some really beautiful photo opportunities I never would have thought of - she even brought sparklers! On top of all of the above, she also did the flowers - I do not cry easily and the flowers were so gorgeous I cried. She was absolutely invaluable. All of my friends were saying things like "I need Melissa for my wedding" or "I wish I had had Melissa at my wedding." If you are wondering if you need a wedding planner or day of coordinator - you do. And you don't just need any planner, you need Melissa.Austin Occasions's reply:

We hired both Melissa and a bartender for our wedding. I am so sad that I cannot remember the bartender's name now, because she was so fantastic. They went above and beyond for us. Melissa was constantly covering the floor to ensure we ate, and our vendors were taken care of. At the ceremony location, she was gathering everyone together, keeping us on track, ensuring all was set to perfection for us. Back to the reception, Melissa was again taking care of it all. She arrived there from our cocktail hour and ensured everything was placed out and ready for our guests. She helped to handle the vendors setup so my husband and I could have time with our photographer and videographer without disruption. Melissa even stopped to sew my bustle when someone stepped on my dress and ripped the fastener. The bartender was friendly, and made our guests feel comfortable all night long. Melissa with Austin Occasions did a great job as day-of wedding coordinator for our daughter's wedding. Her staff provided catering services for food we brought in from another vendor. She was flexible and responsive in meetings we requested prior to the wedding. She and her staff were in charge of every detail on the wedding day. There are so many details, and she anticipated every situation that came up. I highly recommend Austin Occasions! Melissa is professional. She has a wonderful personality and helped make our day joyful!

Austin Occasions made our wedding day a breeze! There wasn't a moment spent thinking about something that needed to be done or worked on. Together with our day-of-coordinator, Jessica Ryan, they were so on top on everything that we felt like guests at our own wedding.
Leading up to the wedding, we worked with Melissa. She helped us identify how many staff we would need and for what hours. You could tell she has a lot of experience staffing events, each with their own needs.
When friends have asked for our advice in planning their own weddings, the first thing we've told them is hire good staff! It makes all the difference. -

Simply put, Melissa is THE BEST! If I could give her a 100/5, I would!
We used Melissa as our DOC, but her services really extended beyond that - we had planning meetings that were incredibly helpful, & she stepped in to assist with a couple of difficult vendors when we felt that we were in over our heads. Whenever I had issues come up, prior to the wedding, or actual day of she ALWAYS had a solution, if not several sound suggestions for a solution. She is an incredibly reasonable person, & this extends as a grounding force when a bride (or groom) can be teetering off the deep end. Plus, she will be right there in the trenches with you when your bustle rips during the reception :).
She is an incredibly experienced & well-seasoned wedding planner / coordinator with the knowledge, staff, network, & expertise to match it. We absolutely loved her & loved working with her in the time leading up to the wedding, & I was so glad to have her at the actual wedding because beyond her doing her job, she felt like part of our family & I was excited for her to share in our day. My family & guests also really loved her. It was not lost on them how beautiful our wedding was (due to Melissa & her assistants' hard work in setting it up), but also how they doted on our VIP guests & on us to make sure that everything ran smoothly & beautifully.
If we were ever to renew our vows, or honestly - host any event with some complicated logistics, I would call Melissa to re-hire her in a heartbeat (I fully intend on giving her info to any future bride i know that will be getting married in the Austin area in the future). SO! If you are lucky enough to be able to snag Melissa & have the opportunity to hire her - DO IT! Honestly, I'd recommend hiring her before any other vendor (including your venue) - because she will make sure that you get what is important & what you want. Hiring a full-service florist was not in our budget so she suggested I buy bulk flowers with her wholesale account but when it came to picking up, trimming, and storing the flowers before the day, I realized this was not feasible so Melissa also gave me a very reasonable quote to handle that for me as well including centerpiece arrangement for my rehearsal dinner and wedding, my bouquet, and boutonnieres. Everything was beautiful and very true to my vision and sample pictures I shared. I couldn't stop gushing over my bouquet and she even did a beautiful floral arrangement on our cake!
The actual day went by seamlessly and she and her staff were professional and accommodating, always making sure my husband and I were taken care of. She even brought a fabric sheet for my static-y dress which fixed the mini-emergency of my clinging skirt.
I'm happy with our decision to purchase our favorite Barbecue and have Austin Occasions to pick up the food, create a buffet and staff the dinner. We ended up saving money over full-service caterers and didn't have to compromise on the quality of our food. We then still had staffing through the end of the night to wrap things up. Melissa even let members of her staff go early when things winded down a little earlier than expected so we weren't paying for people who turned out not to have much to do.
Overall I would absolutely recommend each of her services. I can't imagine the day having gone any better with credit to them!Austin Occasions's reply:

If you fall in love with your venue and it's not something like a hotel that provides almost everything, I highly recommend getting a wedding coordinator. They can help to keep you sane on your special day (especially if you're hosting 200+ people). Austin Occasions did just that for me. I was already pretty stressed out planning the wedding and honeymoon, so I enlisted their help. Their entire staff is incredibly nice and professional. They even thought of things I didn't think of that day. Thank you so much Melissa and crew for all the hard work you did for us. We'll never forget it! -

Melissa has the creativity and energy to create and individual and special experience for the most important day of your life. It was like she could read my mind and the result was better than the dreams I had of the event. I will recommend to anyone who wants a fun marriage experience without any worries. Melissa was AMAZING as our day-of coordinator! We got an email from the venue the MORNING OF OUR WEDDING that they were not going to be able to put up enough tables for everyone. I was freaking out but I called Melissa and within 30 minutes she had worked with the venue to rework the table layout and texted me that everything was fine. Throughout the night she was 10 steps ahead of everything and put out probably more small fires than I'll ever even know. She remembered details that our caterers forgot and didn't hesitate to make sure they followed through on their commitments. I'm recommending her highly to all my engaged friends! -

WOW! I don't even know where to start, Melissa was AMAZING! I hired her to be my day of coordinator, but she was there for me the 10 months leading up to my wedding date. When we had our initial meeting, we left and my fiance said we are hiring her! Melissa and I exchanged emails and phone calls quite frequently and always gave me the help I needed. My wedding was in Austin, but I live in Houston. I only went to Austin 3 times before the wedding, but I felt so confident that my wedding day would be perfect! And man was I right! I trusted Melissa with every detail of the wedding and it was perfect! I actually also hired her as my florist too. I was on a tight flower budget and she helped me stay within that! When the day of the wedding finally arrived, Melissa and her assistant were there for me all weekend! Melissa fixed a bridesmaids dress that need a quick sew fix and she kept us on the timeline. I was so happy that I had someone that I trusted to run my wedding because I was able to have a BLAST and not have one thing to worry about- they took care of it ALL!! During planning, she told me to have back up for limo service and good thing I did because the limo had a blow out. When I received that call, I didn't panic because there was a plan B and everything was still on time! I can't say it enough, she was wonderful, thought of every detail and was patient with all my emails and questions! -

I cannot recommend Melissa's day-of wedding coordination services more highly. Wow. Melissa is a total pro and at an amazing value.
We met with Melissa in person to review our plans and she would provide insight and recommendations. She identified gaps in our planning for us to fill in that we would have never thought of, even though we are well-known among friends and family as being super-planners. When we had issues with our vendors, Melissa would offer us perspective and advise on how to handle and even offered to step in if it would make us feel more comfortable. We always felt like we were in good hands and had someone protecting our interests. Flexible and responsive? Absolutely. I always received an emailed response within minutes of sending, and often a call back. I like how Melissa isn't afraid to get on the phone and figure things out.
On the day of the wedding, Melissa made sure everything was happening according to plan. I loved her attitude. All I worried about what getting ready and enjoying my day, which was no worry at all. It was amazing to see my vision manifest without having to check and make sure everything was working out. No one bothered me on my wedding day because Melissa was the gatekeeper and she made that clear.
If you are looking for day-of service or beyond, you can do no better than to hire Austin Occasions. -

LIFE SAVERS!!!! I cannot say enough amazing things about this company. I hired them for my wedding a few days ago and Melissa was my day of coordinator. The planning process was so simplified for me and my day was worry free!!! I work as an event coordinator myself so I knew that I needed someone I could trust. Every little thing Melissa and her team did was professional and so stress free. She kept us focused and happy on our special day and I really appreciated how much she went above and beyond. She even sewed a bustle on my dress when we got half way through the reception and I was holding it. (I totally forgot to get that done, bad bride!)
I will be using them in the future for my professional engagements and highly recommend them if you want your special day to be complete!! -

Melissa and her team are so great! I hired Melissa to be our day-of assistant, as well as two bartenders from Austin Occasions. Melissa worked with me in the months before our wedding to craft a service package that worked with our budget and needs for the event. She was incredibly responsive throughout the whole planning process and I felt confident that I could rely on her for great service the day-of. I am so, so thankful that I hired Melissa to be there to help run the show! She kept things moving and took care of all the little details so that after all the planning, I could really enjoy my wedding. She even saved me when I spilled a beer on my dress during the dance party — she knew exactly what to do, cleaned me up, and sent me back to the party and my dress has no stains!. We hired bartenders from Austin Occasions for our May wedding, and they did such a wonderful job! They mixed our Sangria, cut tons of fruit, and assembled our entire Sangria bar and bar set up. Service was excellent as well. I can't recommend them enough! -

I hired Austin Occassions to waiter my wedding dinner. They were beyond perfect and went above and beyond what I was expecting. Along with doing their job of waiting tables Stevie and his crew of professionals quickly took charge of their surroundings and provided excellent wait service, as well as, finishing up some of the cooking for my grandmas recipe dinner. Melissa from Austin Occasions was amazing!!!!! If you are a looking for a wedding coordinator you should look into her! She helped with the leading up planning and did the whole day of coordination. I didn't even need to speak to a majority of my vendors as she had everything taken care of. She was respectful in honoring our wishes and going with the flow when needed. My groom didn't think we needed a wedding coordinator but after the wedding all he could say it was the best money we have ever spent and he would have spent a lot more for all Melissa did for us. She was very on top of things during the day of which helped my family and maid of honor relax like I felt they should. She was very sweet and worked for all vendors very well. I would recommend her to anyone because of her knowledge and ability to get things done quickly and smoothly! -

We had several compliments from our guests who took note of the staff's friendliness and helpfulness not to mention speed. I was pleasantly surprised when my husband and I sat down and a member of the Austin Occasions staff come over quickly to take our drink/food order. The professionalism and high quality work that was provided allowed us and our guests to enjoy our wedding day. They not only provided food servers but also bartenders, set up and clean up crew and all had a smile on their face. Thank you a million times over! -

Melissa from Austin Occasions was great! She was easy to work with and was able to roll with the punches at my wedding--which ended up being on a cold/rainy day in Austin in April! So, the outdoor ceremony we had planned had to be moved onto the porch--which means Melissa had to figure out how to set up the chairs and decorations in a totally unplanned way. She did a great job and really let me just relax and be a bride. I highly recommend Melissa as a day-of coordinator. She and her team will work their hardest to make your wedding go smoothly. -

Melissa and her Team were wonderful, and the wedding could not of been more perfect. She was great at directing everyone to where they needed to be and what they needed to do. When I had a little miss-hap with my train falling down in the middle of our first dance, she was a life saver running out and fixing it quickly so we could get on with our dance. I am so happy that we found you for our wedding, and I would recommend you to anyone that needs a coordinator for any type of event. Melissa was amazing! We hired her as our day-of coordinator and couldn't have made a better choice. We met with her a few times before the wedding, going through the walk through and sorting out all the little details. She knows what she's doing and had great suggestions from our walk through to where to put the bar, from what time we should arrive to when to do the cake cutting. We made our own centerpieces, table numbers, menu cards, which she gladly put together before our reception. We bought our own tablecloths and chair ties, which she also put out and organized. She even sewed on my button, which fell off my dress before our first dance, AND sewed my mom's dress on her, when her zipper broke. And no one even knew about either one. She guided us along the entire night flawlessly. At the end of the night she picked up everything, including the gifts and dropped them off at the hotel. The event was perfect! I hired Melissa to run the "Day of" event - aka Wedding, and to help us with the floral for the event so we could put them all together. As the event got near, she was always on top of it, and understand for any changes that may have occurred. With family traveling in from town, it was sometimes tough to get exact dates locked down.
On the day of the event, any changes she managed on the fly, as always something happens and it did. But the best part, is I barely even noticed it because it was just handled. It was set up and managed exactly how I envisioned and even better. All of my friends and family also commented on how professional, but approachable and direct she was in getting stuff done. The event itself went off perfectly (and ahead of schedule) which allowed us to spend more time talking with each and every one of our guests. She was fantastic to work with, and for any other major event here in Austin, I will absolutely be calling her back.
I would HIGHLY recommend Melissa - either for your day of coordination, or for your entire event planning. -

I am so happy that I found Austin Occasions. It was, of course, was last minute cry for help. Our small wedding celebration was in need of a few extra hands to help with serving, busing and clean-up.
I filled out the online form and the next day received a response from the lovely office staff. The cost was within our limited budget. Maria and Jason were prompt, professional, fun and so very helpful -- they assisted me with the details from the very large to very important small that may go awry at an event.
I received many compliments from the guest regarding their service. The result? A happy wedding reception coordinator (me) and ecstatic wedding couple!
I highly recommend and will use Austin Occasions for all other events in the future.

We hired a bartender and parking attendants. They were very friendly and eager to do anything that needed to be done. After the parking was finished, they came in and bused tables and then when it was time to cut the cake, they took care of that without being asked. I would highly recommend them for any function. We hired Melissa and her staff to do the serving and bartending at the venue. They were MAGNIFICENT! For a bride with no wedding planner and a small army of family helping her out, they did a beautiful job. People complimented how professional they were and how efficient they were. The clean up at the end of the night was also much less work thanks to their help. I contacted Austin Occasions to provide bar tenders for our March 2nd wedding at the Caswell House in Austin, TX. Melissa was very helpful from our first initial conversation and I knew that she and her team would do a wonderful job for us! We served beer, wine and champagne. Since I don't drink any of the items we were serving, I asked Melissa if she could make me, the bride, sangria. Without any hesitation, Melissa made and hid my special drink. From having the bride and grooms favorite drinks waiting for them after the ceremony to cleaning up messes on the dance floor they do it it all! When dinner was served they made a plate up for each of us and were constantly checking on our drinks and refilling when necessary. Throughout the night they were going around cleaning up trash on reception tables and making sure everything looked great. They were very responsive, accommodating and professional. The Austin Occasions staff really took care of everything and went above and beyond to make our wedding day flow smoothly. Our wedding had a lot of separate events and logistics, and they made sure that everything was exactly where it needed to be. In addition, they even thought of other details that we hadn't, so the decor was arranged beautifully, all the events were smoothly coordinated, and there were even extra special touches added in. Excellent service and value, and the staff were so sweet and helpful. We're really glad we picked Austin Occasions! -

They provided the servers / staff for two of our wedding events, one for 30 people and one for 150 people. They all were very professional, helpful and took care of our guests. We did not have to worry about the food being served properly- they took care of it all. Afterwards, they made sure everything was cleaned up before they left. I would definitely use them again! -

Melissa was incredibly helpful to us from the beginning of our wedding planning process. She was knowledgeable, flexible and direct. Most importantly, she has the kind of event experience you need to throw a wedding (if you're a novice, like most brides). Melissa provided wonderful day-of coordination for my wedding. She was organized and on top of everything. She handled all my DIY decor and centerpieces and it all looked beautiful. I didn't need to worry about a thing the whole day. Austin Occasions also provided bar tending services for my wedding. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and very attentive! -

Very Easy to Work With!
I want to give a huge thank you to Austin Occasions!
Thank you to Melissa who coordinated everything with me leading up to the wedding and a special thank you to the staff, and most specifically, Elona.
Unfortunately, my wedding planner was very disappointing and without Elona, so many things that were important to me, would have fallen through the cracks. Once it was evident that my coordinator wasn't going to do certain things she was supposed to, Elona teamed up with my mother and made sure everything came together effortlessly! She saved the day in so many ways and she and Sara and Keifer were hard-working, professional, and friendly!
I have used Austin Occasions for work events as well and they have always been great to work with!
The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because I was told that the staff would be breaking down the tables and chairs at the end of the night and loading things up but those things weren't done so my dad and coordinator had to stay late to do this and I was charged extra from my coordinator. I completely understand that there weren't enough people to tackle this, but I wish that expectation hadn't have been set for me. It wasn't fair that my dad had to do this.

They gave me the waitstaff I needed and they even went and picked up our catering. Both waitresses were absolutely amazing once they arrived. There was a slight confusion on a few details the day of my wedding, but once Melissa was aware of the situation she helped make it better by comping our travel and pick up fees.Austin Occasions's reply:

We hired a bartender through Austin Occasions. He was fantastic, personable, friendly and everyone thought he was amazing. Probably one of the best, if not the best, bartender I have seen at an event. -

Melissa was on time to our initial meeting, late to my rehearsal. She wore a small, low cut, see through mini dress with sandals on my wedding day. Her staff and her were not able to read the plans for decorations, eventhough we had previously met at the venue (she was late to to this also) my family had to assist with hanging and placing decorations which means there are very few pictures of me with my mom and sister getting ready on one of my most important days. There were few photos of my father getting ready with the groom. During the entire event, she wasn't available or making sure announcements were happening. Several of my guests left because they thought we left. We were taking our pictures and she asked us to stop because guests were leaving rather than explain what we were doing. Again, more memories lost because she didn't fulfill her promise.Austin Occasions's reply:
I am so sorry that you feel this way about your wedding experience. However, we were contracted to do a job that required more staff and you assured me that you had family members helping with the ceremony site & inside lighting which we had indicated to you was going to be a difficult task (very high ceilings) with only 3 staff members (including myself) who you had hired to handle all the food, set-up, decorating, maintenance and trash. There were no other vendors at this wedding besides the photographer. I was concerned from the beginning about this but I wanted to do everything I could to fit within your budget. I brought my staff 30 minutes early to your wedding because I was concerned about set-up. I also spent 2 hours at your rehearsal so that you could take a break and eat. I remember we had started late because we were waiting for family members to show up. In regards to my dress, I wore sandals because I found my self running back and forth throughout your wedding and had to take my heels off. This wedding needed much more staff and I feel like I took as many opportunities as I could to let you know that we were only 3 people handling an entire wedding. -
