I cannot possibly recommend Ashley-Adrien highly enough. I was on the fence about needing a day of coordinator because it felt like I was already doing most of the advance work anyway and it’s a bit of an extra expense. But it was 110% worth it. Ashley and Tiffany took my very minimal instruction— which was honestly a wave of the arm and a “you know, do stuff with all of the stuff on that table and in that corner!”— and made my dream a reality. I didn’t handle or worry about a single thing on my wedding day, freeing me up to spend the entire time with family and friends. Our family and guests even noticed and commented on how amazing they were. Even if you’re not totally sure you need a day of coordinator, I suggest hiring Ashley-Adrien. -

I booked Ashley-Adrien Events for Wedding Day Management/Day of Coordination for my wedding on 04.20.24. After the exhaustion of finding a venue for our wedding, I knew the next thing I needed to look for was some assistance in the planning department. I am a very type-A individual, so it is difficult for me to give up control but after one conversation with Ashley, I had complete confidence in her and her team. This package included standard Day of Coordination but Ashley offered customization as needed for additional services such as: Create & Distribute Welcome Packages, Hotel Block & Transportation Management... This allowed me to do most of the planning myself (which is what I wanted) but helped reduce decision fatigue. Instead of filtering through 200+ options for each vendor, Ashley provided me with 3-5 vendors who met my needs and budget. This made picking vendors so much easier, and every recommended vendor was absolutely incredible! Ashley really understood my needs and made the planning process a breeze. When working with Ashley and her team, you also have access to Aisle Planner which is a website that helps to organize guest count, meal selections, seating chart and many other aspects; and also includes some perks such as discounts for invitations, standard photo lists that can be edited to your needs, go-bys for other wedding planning needs and much more. As we got closer to the big day, Ashley used what I put in Aisle Planner and created a complete production schedule/timeline with all of my many specifications and vendor specific details. She let me make edit after edit, then her and her team worked with my vendors to distribute this information and coordinate with them for the big day.
Ana was my coordinator and she was absolutely amazing! She was at my final walk-through with the venue, conducted the wedding rehearsal, kept track of every detail and made sure our big day went off without a hitch. As things progressed throughout the day and changes had to be made, Ana handled everything but made sure to keep me in the loop. I was involved just as much as needed, again I am very type A so I wanted to be involved in every aspect, but I appreciated that Ana handled everything and already addressed/fixed what was needed so I didn't have to do anything but give her the thumbs up. I was so nervous that something would go wrong, as it seems something always goes wrong at weddings, but nothing every did! Ana made our day absolutely perfect! She was also so kind and calm throughout the process; this helped to keep me calm which is not an easy task. Ashley and Ana were so responsive, professional, organized, detail oriented, and kind. Everything you need in a wedding planning/coordinating team! I cannot recommend them highly enough! -

Ashley was such an amazing planner! One of my bridesmaids even said this was the most organized wedding she had ever been to. For reference, I had a 150+ guest wedding at the Norfolk Botanical Gardens. There was a lot of activity and detail to tend to with 8= bridesmaids all getting hair and makeup done professionally and Ashley did not forget a thing. She provided a 40 page PDF with a full timeline and all wedding details that I was able to share out with all my VIPs. It included the wedding party names, the seating chart, all vendor contact info, hair & makeup schedule as well as a full and detailed timeline. Multiple people remarked on how low my stress level seemed the day of the wedding and that is large part due to Ashley! She is friendly, professional, organized, and detail--oriented. I cannot recommend her highly enough! -

After spending almost 2 years planning every detail of my wedding, I knew we'd need a month of coordinator to bring the vision to life. We had a consultation with Ashley and immediately booked with her and I'm so glad we did. Ashley went above and beyond! She literally brought our vision to life and helped us have the PERFECT day. Ashley and her co-cordinator Kaylyn were incredible. They were kind and compassionate but also firm and professional to make sure everything went smoothly on the day of. Things that I didn't even think about, they made sure it got done! Even before month of services started, Ashley was still there for any support or questions I had. I'm so happy we went with Ashley and can't recommend her enough! -

We hadn't initially planned to hire a day-of coordinator, but we are SO GLAD we did! Ashley and Kaylyn were absolutely amazing! They stepped in about a month before the wedding to help with confirming vendors, doing the final walkthrough, putting together the production schedule, and so on, and helped to take on a lot of the last minute stress. They ran the rehearsal the day before the wedding and helped put everyone at ease. We handed off all of our decor then as well, and Ashley made me feel confident everything would be set up just as we envisioned, and MAN did she deliver! Ashley was extremely patient with me through all of my stressing out about the rain plan (we were facing a slight chance of rain), and was very helpful on the day of to make sure the right setup plan was enacted. She took care of every little thing on wedding day, and if there were any problems, we didn't have to deal with any of them! Kaylyn was also really great, and was especially helpful with our unruly flower kids as we lined up for the processional (thanks Kaylyn!!).
I highly recommend a DOC, and even more highly recommend Ashley-Adrien Events! -

I was blown away by the attention to detail Ashley displayed from the day she was hired. Couldn't have done it without her and Kaylyn. They even worked with a vendor to facilitate a refund. Best DOCs, highly recommended. -

Ashley and her team were a joy from start to finish. AAE communication was so helpful and so timely, which was refreshing during this crazy time for event planning! AAE is so gifted in their industry: they were able to suggest better ideas that didn’t even occur to us to help elevate our vision, they handled vendor communication in our best interests, they assisted us, our families, and wedding party with anything we needed, and helped execute our timeline and vision perfectly. If anything needed attention, they handled it so that we and our loved ones could relax. We felt so loved and taken care of. AAE coordination is a must for any Hampton Roads wedding. Ashley and her team are amazing and we are so happy that we trusted AAE! It was a beautiful day. -

Ashley is an absolute miracle worker. Our wedding was absolutely flawless. We keep saying how there isn’t a single thing we would have changed. We had no stress or worries, Ashley was on top of everything. It is very clear that she loves what she does, the amount of thought she puts in to everything is incredible. If you are looking for a coordinator, hands down Ashley all the way!!!! Thank you for making our day magical and a dream come true! -

I don't even know where to begin with Ashley. She came on board 3 weeks before my wedding. 3 WEEKSS!!! Due to very unfortunate circumstances with a month of coordinator I had hired previously. She absolutely killed it!! I had so much anxiety but as soon as I hired her that was all gone. We talked on a Friday and by some miracle, she was able to attend my final walk-through the next day. She asked all the right questions and took so many notes. When the big day came I literally sat there... I was not needed for one thing. I never thought I could be that relaxed on that day. Everything was done perfectly. If you are going back and forth about hiring a coordinator seriously do it!! And make sure it's Ashley and her team!! -

If you are reading this review you must be considering hiring Ashley. My suggestion is to stop reading and hire her…. quickly!! My husband and I hired Ashley for our 2020 May wedding. Ashely was present every step of the way and was always able to provide insight and guidance. Ashley kept together all the dates and timelines and had everything we wanted and needed. The pandemic hit of course and Ashley didn’t even skip a beat with her help and guidance to get things rescheduled, guidance on timelines, and emails to our guests. We pulled off an Alfresco (tent less outdoor wedding) which really reflected me and my partners love and connection(thanks to Ashley). Ashley rocked it the day of our wedding and I had ZERO nerves about how smoothly things would run with her running the show :) We knew that that for every meeting Ashley would hold it down for us. We are very sad our wedding is over; she helped us make it so special and she feels like our family. 💗 Looking forward to other special events to hiring her!!! -

Ashley was simply amazing. She responded in a timely manner and did a phone call meet up with us before we hired us. Ashley blew us away right from the start. As soon as we said "yes," she sent us over the contract, the planning app, and was on the ball. We hired her as our Day of Coordinator and could not be happier that we chose her. She attended our final walk through with our venue and took excessive notes. She made sure to answer any questions we had and if she was unsure about something, she asked questions. Ashley contacted vendors and verified set up times. Ashley and her assistant Tiffany were amazing. They had an emergency kit for both the bride and groom. My husband and I could breathe easily because we knew they had everything handled. I even caught Ashley and Tiffany dancing a few times :). I would hire them again in a heart beat! -

I hired Ashley-Adrien Events for my wedding day as a day of coordinator. From the first day contacting her, Ashley took time to meet me in person and talk about my wedding day and see if she was the right fit for us. Ever since that day, Ashley and her team absolutely went above and beyond anything I expected. For our rehearsal, Amy came and helped run the rehearsal with our officiant. She answered any and all questions and was so receptive to any changes we wanted to make. After a medical emergency that happened with someone in the bridal party the day of the rehearsal, Ashley contacted me just to check in and make sure everything was okay. The day of the wedding, Amy and Tiffany were there all day. They had coordinated with us and our vendors and had made a day of production timeline that they distributed it out to everyone. If there was anything that went wrong, I did not know about it. They were discrete, professional, warm, and proactive. When we sat down for dinner, before it was served, they had already gotten two full plates for my husband and I to eat. Tiffany even got me a drink while I was eating! I cannot express how truly grateful I am for Ashley and her team. Amy and Tiffany were absolutely incredible and I cannot recommend them enough. Thank you for making my day go as smoothly as possible. It truly was the best day of my life. -

Ashley was amazing with her service. She was organized, dedicated, and very caring. She made sure everything ran smoothly and on-time. She was on the ball about everything that had to be done during the planning process. She even got us a wedding gift. I wouldn't recommend anyone else BUT her, since she was excellent!
