Forever grateful to ACE
I think I'll start with the punch line - Missy and the team at ACE are, simply put, the best of the best. After planning a big wedding at a venue in Annapolis, my fiance and I decided to start from scratch and plan something small and intimate in my parent's backyard. We were overwhelmed. I had big dreams, but no idea how to execute. Missy expertly interpreted every idea I had and connected us with the very best vendors in the area. She served as our rock throughout the process - our sounding board, our logistics manager, and our friend. People often ask me how the big day was - and I answer, "flawless." But I know that that's because Missy was there dealing with every mishap without ever even letting it reach my ears. She created our fairytale wedding quite literally from scratch and we will be forever grateful. Bottom line, if you're looking for a wedding planner - hire ACE!! It was the best decision we made for our wedding. -

Dream Wedding Planner and Organizational Queen!
Missy and her team of professionals at ACE helped create the wedding of our dreams for my husband and I! Missy went above and beyond to communicate with all of our vendors, get us connected with the best wedding professionals in the Hampton Roads area, organize the flow of the wedding weekend so we could enjoy our special day, and listened to our creative ideas and wants for our wedding! She was even able to track down my husband's dream vintage car (model, year, and color!) for our getaway vehicle, which was such a special treat! She worked with us consistently through all parts of the wedding planning process, and we simply would not have been able to put on our wedding with this much ease if it were not for her and her team. Especially with my husband and I planning our wedding from out of the state (Military and grad school), Missy's help and guidance was crucial in getting us the wedding of our dreams! If you can afford a full-time wedding planner, Missy's guidance and connections in the wedding industry are a must to have on your side to help create your dream wedding day! She was able to help create the most stunning day for us and joyous memories to last a lifetime! -

Just Amazing
Missy and her team were absolutely amazing. They made our wedding so much fun and absolutely perfect. I am a person who is very particular and somewhat OCD. Missy was so understanding and knew exactly how I think. We were so sad when the wedding was over, because it meant we wouldn’t be with Missy anymore! She feels like part of our family now and we are so thankful for Missy and her team! -

Absolute Perfection
Hiring Missy with Antonia Christianson Events to lead the design and execution of our daughter’s garden wedding at The Hermitage Museum and Gardens in Norfolk, Virginia was absolutely the best decision. While we interviewed others, Missy was by far the most professional yet personable.
The level of guidance and creativity Missy provides is exceptional. She will engage in the design process to whatever degree you desire – we didn’t go into the process with a definitive picture of what we wanted. She asked questions to get to know our daughter and helped us to define a style and then kept us on track throughout the process to ensure our choices would have a cohesive result. She will direct and offer input but not take over, she always has an option up her sleeve and she’s not afraid to have a difficult conversation should the need arise all while keeping the process fun and enjoyable. Missy brings a wealth of experience to the table and is well connected to area vendors. She knows their inventory and their strengths which gives her the ability to guide you to those who best fit your vision. As we began working with those vendors it became clear that Missy is a very well-respected professional in the industry. The strong working relationship she maintains with other vendors provides a rock-solid foundation for flawless event execution.
Missy is a perfectionist. One of her greatest strengths is her attention to detail. Throughout the planning process she tracked our thoughts and preferences, little details that could easily have been missed but she constantly revised and clarified each desire. The result was a document 20+ pages in length that pulled together our vision for the day along with key information from every vendor contract – a schedule for beauty and hair, a list of florals and where each was to be placed, a list of lighting features and where each was to be installed, who would arrive at what time by what mode of transportation where they would wait where they would stand during the ceremony the list went on and on – literally every detail was planned and the ACE team was on top of it all.
When the day came, we were able to completely let go and enjoy the event because we were 100% confident that Missy and the ACE team had it under control. When we walked into both the ceremony and reception space, we were overwhelmed by how beautifully everything had come together – the end result exceeded our every expectation. Did anything go wrong? Maybe, more likely probably as there we many moving parts but did we know? – nope - because it was handled. That is the greatest gift you can give yourself - a stress free wedding day. One of our guests who also happens to be a professional event planner commented that every detail was executed flawlessly – yep that’s an ACE event trademark!
We cannot thank Missy and the ACE team enough for making our dreams come true.

Missy is the planner/BF you want and need through the planning process. She took our vision of NO white and made it work. Missy guided me to the correct vendors that could make our vision possible. Our weekend was flawless because of Missy and her team. Missy went above and beyond with all the planning and her TEAM there aren’t enough thank yous. Missy and team made the weekend seamless and I wasn’t stressed or worried because they knew our vision. 2 weeks before I had a meltdown about my dress. Midsy immediately got me an appt. she said she couldn’t make it to my surprise she was sitting there and surprised me. It meant the world to me. Thank you Missy and team. Amazing attention to detail

Missy is amazing!
Our wedding day (5/15/2021) was perfection and it is all because of Missy and her team!! When my now husband proposed and we sat down to start planning, the first thing I said was that we needed to call Missy. At first he didn't see the point of having someone help us, but from the first meeting he was hooked! She guided us every step of the way, kept us on timeline, calmed our nerves with changing guidelines, and helped us realize our vision for a fun, romantic day celebrating our marriage. Missy and her team thought of every detail and made the day stress-free and fun (including greeting us with a celebratory beverage right after saying I do!). I know she had a million other things going on, but I always felt that I was a top priority. She came to every appointment and encouraged us to select what we wanted and make the day about us. Missy recommended the best vendors and as much as I love planning a party, I would have been completely lost without her! -

Antonia Christianson Events is a team of true event professionals, I can not even begin to put into words how amazing these women truly are. My wedding day was a dream come true and I am beyond grateful for ACE. Getting married and planning a wedding is something I had always perceived to be a stressful endeavor. With these ladies on your side that is certainly not the case. On top of the perception of stress of planning a wedding, we had a year filled with unexpected tragedies and loss. Missy took our vision and turned it into reality. There were many weeks, even months, over the course of the year of planning that I did not have the ability to be involved or time to dedicate to the process and Missy never missed a milestone and had an unbelievable understanding of our dream, she far exceeded all expectations. From forming what can only be described as a dream team of event professionals to the day of coordination, it was perfect. My wedding day was spent enjoying the moment and not worrying about much else. The knowledge, attention to detail and professionalism of this team surpassed any expectation I had. Our Transatlantic Planning Was Made Easy with ACE
I have known Missy for years as a fellow wedding professional/personal friend-family, and as of recently, as a bride! Since we were planning our Virginia wedding picnic reception for my American loved ones from England, there was no question that we needed a local wedding coordinator on our team because we had already been through a UK wedding that changed a few times due to pandemic restrictions, immigration, and everything else life threw at us. I was exhausted, my British husband didn't know the U.S. wedding world and just wasn't able to help, so we knew we needed someone that knew me/our story/my style, understood what we needed practically speaking (especially for a unique outdoor picnic format), and would execute event plans without my having to micro-manage or follow up on things. With a tired brain and a 5 hours' time zone difference, all those things were imperative!
Missy and her crew (Katrina and Danielle) were given full reign over our event, and they didn't miss a beat at any time. Leading up to the picnic day and the actual day of, they made sure everyone/everything was well cared for, helped us connect the vendor dots, was attentive to our budget, and made last minute changes when some logistics unexpectedly shifted.
And being in a pandemic, the ACE ladies were kind, thoughtful, and did everything they could to keep our loved ones safe and healthy by wearing masks when interacting with our guests and social distancing while still keeping an eye on everything if anyone needed anything.
My husband and I were so grateful for ACE's professionalism, attention to detail, thoughtfulness, and day-of making it happen. Basically everything you would want in a wedding coordinator! I literally didn't have one thing to worry about, and for that, both Robert and I will forever be appreciative.-

“The Best” doesn’t quite cut it….
From the moment I called to inquire about her services, to months after our big day….Missy has gone ABOVE and BEYOND her call of duty. We didn’t hire Missy as a “full” wedding planner. I think our contracted services were something like “3-months before” and day of. I don’t even remember…because boy, has she worked overtime. She ended up planning for us from February 2019 to May 2021, thanks to COVID. That’s 27 months!!!! She did it with a smile, and with a loving spirit. She didn’t get a penny more, but she worked 10x as hard!! Her level of dedication and commitment something you don’t find very often anymore.
To boot, she truly knows EVERY thing there is to know about the wedding industry and when you hire her, her connections become your connections. She knows who to call for EVERY thing and because of her professional reputation in the industry, she has great relationships with everyone!
We can’t even begin to imagine our big day without Missy being a part of it. What COVID was trying to make a nightmare, Missy made into a fairytale! From organizing every detail, to planning and re-planning timelines and floor plans, all the way to being my go-to support person…Missy did it all.
Bottom line, Missy is the best wedding planner in Coastal VA because of her hard work, dedication, organization and tenured industry experience. But, all of that means nothing compared to Missy being the best human being you could hire to plan your wedding. The pure love and care she showed to helped make our day the best it could possibly be is what made her much more than our wedding planner…she will now forever be our friend! We LOVE you Missy!!! No amount of words, money or praises could ever thank you enough for everything you did for us!!! -

It’s hard to put into words the fairy tale that was our daughter’s wedding. Everything you'd want in an event planning team!
The entire ACE team was nothing but excellent throughout our planning process. Despite the necessary postponement and venue changes, Missy and her team remained on top of everything with a positive attitude. Missy's constant professionalism and organization left no question unasked and her love for this industry was evident. Our wedding day was completely smooth because of their team. If there were any hiccups, they were handled with ease before we ever knew about them. Danielle and Emily helped keep the wedding party on schedule on the day while seamlessly coordinating all of our details into our perfect wedding. The peace of mind that ACE gave us over the 2.5 years of planning was invaluable. Regardless of the wrench thrown our way, ACE knew exactly how to handle it. AMAZING Experience!
Missy and her team worked with my fiancé and I from day one on carrying out the vision for our day. Missy and her team were very responsive with communication, and kept me on top of the things that I needed to do to keep the planning process rolling. When it came to the day of, it was stress free for everyone involved in the wedding. They took care of everything, including going to bat for us with our cupcake person who brought the incorrect order on the day. Missy and her team worked to get a resolution for me before the wedding without ever stressing me with that detail. Our day was beautiful and more than we hoped for! And we were fully able to enjoy that day because of Missy and her team!-

Absolute lifesaver!
Missy and her team were an absolute godsend. Thankfully, Missy graciously agreed to plan our tiny wedding, because we had no clue what we wanted or where to even begin. She was constantly available to communicate and answer any of our questions. We told her our ideas and a few of our favorite things and entrusted her with the rest. Oh my, did Missy and her team deliver! We walked into the most beautiful, the most magical, the most amazing wedding! Every single piece of our wedding matched our hopes and dreams. Even the vendors Missy paired us with matched what we were hoping for. They were all kind, generous, caring, and professional. We felt like they cared about our wedding as much as we did. It's been a few days since our wedding and people are still talking about it. It was the party of the year and was truly what we all needed during these unprecedented times. I have drafted this review over and over, but words fail me. Missy and her entire team were an absolute pleasure to work with. Missy worked tirelessly to make ensure that our wedding was everything and more than we could have ever imagined. From the very beginning, she helped us to envision what we hoped our big day would look like. She recommended vendors, set up collaboration meetings, crafted seamless timelines, made sure no detail was overlooked, and was truly just INCREDIBLY wonderful to work with throughout the entire process and on our big day. Her expertise and professionalism were an invaluable asset to our wedding. Following planning our entire Charleston wedding, our plans were semi-foiled when Covid restrictions came into play. Despite all of the regulations, Missy was persistent in her pursuits to make our wedding possible. She thought outside of the box and found creative ways that ensured we had everything we initially dreamt of. Throughout our entire wedding planning process, she walked the extra mile for us. I am forever grateful for the guidance and heart + soul that Missy poured into our wedding. It was just magical!

Absolutely Amazing
Antonia Christianson Events provides absolutely amazing service. I’m talking above and beyond what you can even imagine from an event planning/design company. 2020 rocked our world with the COVID pandemic and I cannot say enough how blessed we were to be in the safe, hard working, and very knowledgeable hands of Missy and her team! No question went unanswered. Communication is excellent and they made sure that our vision for the day (Coronavirus precautious and all) came to life. From assisting with finding vendors, to reading through contracts, to all of the postponement chaos, to creating a detailed itinerary and running rehearsal; we knew we were in great hands every single step of the way. My parents loved them, my bridal party loved them and best of all I made new friends (shout out to Danielle, because I already knew Missy) along the way! You literally won’t find more capable hands to be in for your event and when they say “whatever it takes mentality” they truly mean it! Thank you so, so much Missy! You are a bride’s dream come true! Best Decision Ever!!
Hiring Missy and her ACE team was one of the best decisions my new husband and I made! I actually work as a part-time wedding coordinator myself and thought I didn’t need a planner, but boy, was I wrong!! Missy was absolutely wonderful to work with and kept on top of all my deadlines, and thought of questions I didn’t even know needed asking. She then worked with me and all of my vendors to create this amazingly detailed and helpful timeline for our wedding and reception weekend. She helped run the rehearsal and then oversaw our entire wedding day, making calls, fielding questions, helping the bridesmaids get dressed, moving luggage and presents to the bridal hotel suite, etc. All of her hard work - and that of her team - leading up to the wedding and during the event, allowed my husband and I to relax and enjoy our wonderful day. from a former planner & type A personality:
to say that this lady & her gals are the s*** is an understatement. I reached out to Missy about a week after getting engaged. she had just gotten back from Hawaii & I needed a little more insight into the world that is Hawaii & destination planning. as a former planner I knew I needed someone highly recommended & who would make us a priority. Missy was all of those things & more! she instantly got to work on a venue & got all the balls rolling for me right away! thank God for this woman! she handled countless phone calls for me (a 6 hour time difference & working 2 jobs don't go together). Missy most days could read my mind & know what I was thinking before I knew how to put it in words. we would have weekly emails going back & forth with where I was in the planning process. she would send me picture of things to see what my thought were for signs & decor. she created a personal check list to keep my head on straight & keep us on track. helped me plan a welcome luau for all of our peeps & keep all the names together. so fast forward a year & a month: Missy & her hubby fly to Hawaii, the week of their anniversary & their oldest son's birthday to celebrate me & my hubby. these two people were there every day, every step of the way to help us get down the aisle. it poured the day of our outdoor wedding & Missy & hubby rearranged tables & chairs to make things work. they sweated in 80+ degree humid weather & kept smiles on their faces the whole time. I never once had to worry if something was wrong, they had everything under control. Missy made sure that everyone was happy & Christopher & I could just enjoy our friends & family. I told Missy the one thing I'm gonna miss is the constant emails & text messages. & she told my husband now we can all be "real life friends". this woman started off as a kicka** planner I needed to help me plan my wedding & she's become a kicka** lady I need in my life as a friend. thank you Mrs. Christianson for all your help. I would pay for you & your services over & over again.
long story short: if you're planning a wedding, near or far, you want a wedding planner. but if you want someone who's gonna put in the work & make YOUR vision come true & put you & your beloved first, you want Missy. as a former planner myself, I never had to worry about a thing & Missy is the most thorough lady ever.

We can't praise Missy and the ACE staff enough!
Missy and the ACE staff did an amazing job planning and coordinating our wedding. From our first meet and greet to our wedding day, they were on top of everything and took so much stress off of us! We contacted Missy four months out from our wedding date and are so thankful that we did. Looking back at how much planning and detail went into our wedding, there is no way any of it would have turned as great as it did if we didn’t have ACE. A few things we loved about Missy and the ACE staff was their commitment to making our day exactly how we wanted it to be, attention to detail, and their experience. When it came to our wedding day, being able to relax and know everything was being taken care of with the vendors and guests was incredible. We can’t thank Missy and the ACE staff enough for all of the hard work they put into making our wedding day so perfect and stress free for us. -

Stress Free Wedding Day!
As mother of the groom, I must say the best decision was having Missy by the bride and groom’s side during the entire process. She was available every step of the way to answer questions and keep the planning process on track. Missy coordinated the vendors, photos, seating and *thousands* of other details with ease. (Seriously, who know there were so many details!?!? LOL) The best feeling was going into the big day knowing everything was taken care of and if an exception came up, knowing Missy had it covered. Wedding day was 100% stress free and so much FUN! Missy’s planning expertise, follow through and advice was key to a successful day and we can’t thank her and the ACE team enough! -

I wouldn't have wanted to plan our wedding with anyone else.
It has taken me a long time to post this review, for no reason other than I haven’t been able to pinpoint the right words. Missy is my “cousin in love” as she calls it. I have always been a huge supporter of her business and her in general, to be honest. I have always worn her Team ACE t-shirts from coast to coast. She is loving, kind, supportive and I was sure that she carried all of that into her profession. It wasn’t until I got to experience Team ACE from the Bridal point of view that I saw how truly talented and dedicated she really is. Shane and I called with a wild idea to get married in Hawaii and we needed her help. We live in Idaho, she is based in VA, and our families are in CA and OR. Despite that, within 72 hours she had a full page of suggestions for venues, with “just a little google search” she said (eyeroll). She was diligent in making sure my vision was understood (even on days that I wasn’t sure I understood it). She was knowledgeable in how she spoke about other event professionals that she felt would serve me in the capacities that I expected. Her communication was always clear, and if I was unsure there was never a limit on the number of times and ways she could explain things. Missy always took the time to answer when I forgot about the time change and called too late at night, her team shipped us linens and Small details that I was heart- set on. She even helped guide me and encourage me to make decisions about what details and traditions were the most important to me, to maximize the moments we would love on our big day. Missy was never more than a phone call or FaceTime away; even on the days I looked a hot mess- she never even laughed. Team ACE was a HUGE part of Shane and I’s start to the rest of our lives, and we would not have been able to have the beautiful, elegant, simple wedding we had both imagined without them. Team ACE is a service beyond any I could have ever expected, and I am so grateful to now be able to support her as an ACE Bride, not just a cousin in love. -

BEST Entire Experience
Missy and the ACE team were beyond AMAZING!!!! From the beginning to the very end, she was there and always two steps ahead. My wedding was six months from when I was engaged, and she made everything happen. I didn’t have time research vendors or worry about details, but she handled everything better than I could’ve imagined. She has wonderful vendors and people that she works with and recommends, and I was always impressed by their creativity. I got married at a new venue and she was there to make sure everything was done correctly. Despite the newness of the venue, Missy made sure everything was on track. She made me feel so comfortable and at ease throughout the entire wedding planning process and I could not ask for better service. She was open to ideas, and she always knew the best way to execute them to fit into the vision. I love espresso and she made sure that there was an espresso cart during the reception! I could not speak more highly of her and her team’s professionalism and personal dedication. My husband and I were beyond grateful and happy with how she helped us throughout the entire wedding process and we seriously had the best time and memories from our day. -

Where do I begin?? Team ACE is in a league of its own! I get asked all the time "How were you SO calm on your wedding day?" and the answer is simple. I fully trusted in Missy and Team ACE to make sure all details of my big day were executed to perfection.
Let's just say I have been to A LOT of weddings. I wanted to find a venue that was different. I wanted a venue that I hadn't seen a million of my friends get married in. After describing my vision to Missy she recommended The Historic Post Office in Hampton, VA. My husband and I went for a site visit and jaws dropped. It was absolutely perfect. As if she was reading my mind. She definitely knows all things wedding. She always made sure to check in and schedule meetings with me to ensure I wasn't ever overwhelmed and that I wasn't rushed in the planning process. She always had the best vendor recommendations for me and asked ALL of the questions that I would never have thought to ask!
On the day of my wedding, the Team ACE girls and Missy were on it! Set up was being executed perfectly beneath our feet! We were checked in on regularly and if any of our friends or family had questions they had answers. I didn't have to worry about a single thing (just that handsome man waiting for me at the end of the aisle). The day was absolutely flawless!! Special shoutout to Team ACE'r Kelly - while my mom was bustling my dress Kelly helped put my socks and Kate Spade keds on for the reception since I couldn't reach my feet - yes, she literally tied my shoes for me - now that's FULL SERVICE right there! Missy and Team ACE truly care about their clients as if they were family. I would recommend no one else to plan and execute your dream day!-

I cannot even begin to Thank Missy (Antonia) and her team enough. She is the reason my wedding day vision came to life. I was a destination bride, getting married in Paso Robles and she was there for me every step of the way. She made the entire process seamless, which given some obstacles that were thrown our way (which honestly, I wanted to throw in the towel a few times), she always supported me and somehow found the perfect solution. One Epic solution was a smoke bomb instead of sparklers...umm everyone should do that! It was AWESOME!
In addition to planning the perfect day, she and her assistant Lindsey executed the day like no other. I got to enjoy every second of my wedding day!!! How many Brides get to say that?!? I was given heads up on when and what was going on so I could prepare but I didn't have to have a timeline or schedule that I even had to think about. They kept everyone on track the entire day and given our group, that was no easy task.
I have been apart of a number of weddings as a guest or bridesmaid/Maid of Honor and I have been there to support my friends or family but I have also been working to set things up or breakdown when they didn't hire a professional planner. Even if I personally wasn't helping, I have seen mothers or other family members working instead of enjoying the day and spending those precious few moments with their loved. After 'working' at countless weddings I knew that there was no way I would ask this of a friend or family member. I wanted them to be able to share in every moment of that day with my husband and I. I know hiring ACE was the best decision of the entire wedding (minus marrying my husband) because everyone got to do just that!! We got to spend every second of our wedding day with the most important people in the world to us and all we had to do was just...show up!!! It was AWESOME! We tell everyone to hire ACE. It will be the best decision you make during you entire wedding process.

We had the most wonderful experience working with Missy of Antonia Christianson Events. She planned my sisters wedding five years ago and when I got engaged, she was the only person we considered because of our previous experience with her. She gets to know the couple and the families and really puts her heart into every event to make the couples vision come to life. She offers expert and honest insight, remains calm in times of stress, has a "can-do, we will make it happen" attitude like I've never seen and quickly adjusts on the fly if needed. She helped make our weekend seamless and stress-free and our wedding the best day of our lives!-

My wedding went off without a hitch, and that's largely due to Missy and the ACE team! Missy truly cares about her clients and it is evident in everything she does. I was not a local bride and I'm quite indecisive when it comes to just about everything. Missy was so helpful and did not make decisions for me, but helped me evaluate different options and offered recommendations so that I could make great informed decisions. Her recommendations by the way, were all spot on! She made being a non local bride a breeze. She always made time for me (especially on my random trips in town) and we chatted like we've known each other for years. I never felt neglected or less than because I was not local.
On the day of the wedding, Missy transformed into Wonder Woman! She went above and beyond to make sure our day was smooth and stress free - and not just for us but for our entire bridal party (and guests!). When my flower girl had to use the restroom during the middle of our ceremony, Missy took her so that our family could enjoy the ceremony. When my sister had a coughing attack, Missy was there with a glass of water. Missy anticipated our needs before we even knew them ourselves! Honestly, my family cannot stop talking about how amazing Missy and the ACE team were. Our bridal party truly was able to relax and enjoy the day. I would highly recommend Missy and the ACE team to any bride! She was a joy to work with and I could not be happier. A+++++++ -

I moved to a completely different city during my wedding planning process, but Missy worked closely with my mom to ensure my vision for my wedding day became a reality! Even from miles away, Missy helped with every detail, vendor meeting, and made each Pinterest vision come to fruition. The cool thing about Missy (and there are a lot of cool things ;) ) is that she creates everyone's wedding differently. She looked at all of my different ideas (and there were a ton of them) and created an absolute masterpiece! I'm the type of gal who knows what she wants, but can't always make a decision or clearly articulate my ideas. Missy and ACE did not disappoint and made sure the rehearsal and our wedding day went smoothly - even with the rain and all! I would highly recommend Missy and Team ACE to anyone and everyone.-

I cannot gush enough about Missy and her team at ACE! My now-husband and I are not the most creative people but we are perfectionists and had broad-sweeping visions of what we wanted our wedding to be like ("secret garden", "traditional/ colonial", "elegant/ classy", "bring the outdoors in", "bright autumn") though we couldn't put together the pieces and details to create that vision. I had wanted to have our reception on a plantation overlooking the water, but as none were elderly friendly and my grandmother was the reason I had my wedding where I grew up in Williamsburg, I switched to the Williamsburg Lodge ballroom. But we really didn't want a Marriott ballroom looking wedding, though that is exactly what the Williamsburg Lodge is. So I specifically was looking for a planner that could help with design and not just organization. ACE was PERFECT. Missy took what we said and put together an amazing vendor team that brought our vision to life! We went through several designs as Missy helped us work through our budget while still getting the look we wanted, and we ended up with something truly magical and spectacular! Our guests were blown away and told us the reception ballroom was like stepping into an enchanted garden while still completely tasteful and elegant and not over the top. The hanging lanterns Missy came up with along with the dance floor just brought the high ceiling down and created an intimate atmosphere that was still grand. And all this on top on of the basic stuff you'd expect from a wedding planner around planning the day, coordinating with the vendor teams, etc- everything went smoothly without a hitch thanks to ACE. My husband and I had so much fun on our wedding day - completely stress-free - and all because we were in amazing hands. Thank you, Missy and team!!!! -

Planning a wedding is such an intimidating process. There are so many checklists and timelines that can be overwhelming if you don't have the help of an experienced event planner. Missy and the ACE team was by far the best decision we made in making my daughter's dream wedding a reality. She knows the best vendors in the business and can steer you in the direction you need to create a team who can bring your vision to life. My wedding would not have been such a success without Antonia Christianson Events. They took care of so much for us including talking to vendors, double checking our contracts, scheduling, filling in any holes we had for our wedding day and so much more. They seriously rock at what they do. I feel absolutely blessed to have had them with me along the process of planning our wedding. Missy and her team were so helpful when it came to advice, scheduling, and honestly everything that comes a long with the stress of planning a wedding. They really helped me feel on top of everything and worked hard until everything was just perfect. Not to mention everyone on the team is extremely personable, professional, approachable, kind, supportive, hard working, and incredibly wise at their job. From the beginning of the wedding planning process my mother and I both knew that we wanted a wedding planner. My mom has used a planner for my sister and found it to be more than helpful. Another local wedding vendor suggested ACE. We signed the contract with NOTHING planned and really absolutely NO direction for the wedding. I met a former ACE bride through mutual friends and she had nothing but amazing things to say also! As the wedding planning progressed, I got to know Missy and her staff more. They answered every single e-mail so quick and never made me feel like I was asking dumb questions, which sometimes I was. I would have never imagined that they were planning other wedding's also. They made me feel like I was their only bride. The day of the wedding, as far as I know, was flawless. I felt so calm because I trusted Missy and Danielle 100%! Anything I asked, Missy was on it; gum, tissues, helping to the bathroom, sorting out venue issues, communicating with other vendors. I heard people but I never really believed when they said how stressful the wedding planning process can be; my type A personality didn't really help the situation either. It was so nice to know that the day of myself and my mom could relax and enjoy the day. I was sad when the wedding was over and I didn't have a reason to e-mail them! I really don't have enough good words! -

Missy and her team were outstanding. From our first meeting to the wedding day and all through the planning process, we thoroughly enjoyed working with team ACE. Missy took the time to listen to us while we talked about our vision and she recommended vendors (florist, photographer, caterer, band, paper, beauty) who were perfect fits in terms of executing on that vision. Since I was planning a wedding in VA but live in NYC, I really appreciated Missy and her team's responsiveness over email; Missy even took time during the holiday break when I was home to meet with me and nail down details - that's going above and beyond! On the day of the wedding, everyone - myself, my now husband, our families - felt totally confident knowing team ACE was running point. I honestly don't know how anyone could pull off a wedding without Missy and her ACE team. I booked Missy for day of coordination; however, we were communicating months before our wedding day. Missy and her team helped me choose all of my vendors. They helped me handle all of their contracts and make sure I didn't miss payments. They gave me a checklist before the wedding to make sure I got everything done in a timely manner as well as an extensive timeline of the day before, and day of activities. Not to mention all of my vendors were on time frames for set up which was a huge help. My wedding seemed to go off perfectly without a hitch. All of my guests were amazed at how "nothing" went wrong. Every wedding will have it's hiccups but Missy and her team are so experienced that to everyone else the wedding will appear perfect! My officiant could not make it to my rehearsal the day before, and Missy stepped up to the plate and ran my rehearsal smoothly and ensured everyone knew exactly what to do on the wedding day. I should also mention that Missy and her ACE team were coordinating 2 weddings AT THE SAME TIME! The 2 weddings never even knew the other was in the ballroom next door. She had the speeches timed to where the music from the other ballroom would not interfere with the speeches. How they managed to make my wedding seem like the only wedding in the venue was amazing. Missy still answers to my emails super fast even after the wedding. (I had a few questions about name changing). If you want to have a worry free wedding where you or your bridal party, or family members are running around setting up centerpieces or making sure everything is set up, then YOU HAVE TO BOOK MISSY AND HER TEAM! Missy and her team were great! While I was planning a wedding in my hometown, I no longer lived in the area. This made things a little daunting.
I signed up for a partial planning package. She helped suggest vendors in addition to those I had researched, giving pros and cons on each. When I was deciding on vendors, she even offered to let them know when we decided to go with another vendor.
As we got closer to the wedding she was very proactive and on top of everything. She even jumped on a phone call with me when I didn't like one of my trial centerpieces but couldn't articulate what exactly it was that I wanted. She walked me through options until I could figure out what I wanted. Then she arranged and joined another call with me and the florist to make sure everything worked out.
At the rehearsal and day of the wedding she had a fleet of people making sure everything was ready to go and did go smoothly. She was unfazed and cheery when my family kept adding last minute tasks ("you need me to store an extra 300 votives and get them to the venue, no problem")! She caught those little details and made sure if there were any problems, I didn't know about them. Our big day went great and we would definitely recommend Missy and her team for your wedding! -

You cannot go wrong with choosing Antonia (Missy) and her ACE gals. They are the sweetest and most down-to-earth girls you will ever meet. Missy has an eye for details and design and knows when to bring it to the table. Literally! She helped us choose our table decor (i.e. plates, silverware, cups, etc.) to coordinate with our linens/table arrangements. One thing I love about Missy is she will always warn you before you have to make a toast, dance with dad, or cut the cake. Having an wedding planner was one of the best decisions we made for the wedding and Missy is a fabulous choice! -

Missy and the ACE team are simply the best. A wedding planner is one of the most important decisions that a bride makes during wedding planning. We chose to do a partial plan which included vendor selection, logistic coordination, day of planning/ coordination and so much more! Missy and her team did a great job with recommending vendors. We honestly could not have had better vendors for our wedding. People would often ask us who our planner was throughout the process and when we told them, they consistently said "Missy and her team are the best!" And we completely agree! Missy's advice, guidance, creativity and support throughout the process was absolutely invaluable. We could NOT have done it without her - and we wouldn't want to! I honestly cannot say enough about the ACE team! On the wedding day, everything was perfect. I remained calm (and my family did too) and truly enjoyed the entire day because I knew that Missy and her team were at the helm. It was truly a pleasure to work with the ACE team over the past year and it was the BEST decision we made during wedding planning. I would highly recommend the ACE team to other brides/grooms/and their families. -

ACE Events was nothing but PERFECTION for our wedding day! Missy and her staff were always super helpful, extremely nice and so much fun throughout planning and at the wedding!! We hired ACE for day of coordination but Missy, Kait, Britt and Kali were much more than that on the day of the wedding....they were like family. We couldn't have wished for a better team and better people to help us with our special day. We are and were truly blown away by how beautiful the church was and how awesome our reception was. They gave us such peace of mind on our big day and it went off without a hitch. Missy and her team are INCREDIBLE. Our wedding day far exceeded our expectations, thanks to Team ACE. We live in Virginia but our wedding was in central Louisiana, and Missy was an integral, invaluable part of the destination planning process. I can't imagine planning a destination wedding with the guidance of anybody else. Though we had a "month-of" contract, we checked in periodically through the whole year we planned our wedding, and Missy and her team always gave us the peace of mind we needed! Missy is amazing at what she does--a no-nonsense guider and facilitator, with the best sense of humor and perfect sass. There aren't enough kind words to say about Missy and her team! I thought that after hours of searching pinterest planning a wedding would be a breeze...that could not be further from the truth! Missy sits down with you for as long as you need and breaks down all of the little details they don't include online. She is so knowledgeable of the wedding field, has a great relationship with numerous vendors, and is extremely dedicated to each individual bride she works with. I honestly can't imagine having my wedding without her! Everyone we met with that works at ACE was pleasant and patient. We can not thank ACE Events enough. I did the day of the event contract and so very thankful for all their professionalism, advice, suggestions. We couldn't have done it without Missy and her team. She was absolutely amazing. Since I am a business professional, I know how important it is to hire a professional that does this for a living, she was worth every penny. She followed up with all the vendors, sent out timelines so everyone was on the same page, set up/cleaned up, made sure everyone was having a good time the day of the wedding, coordinated the ENTIRE day. She even stopped by to say hi while we got ready. If you are thinking, "oh my aunt or a friend can do this for me," forget it. So much is involved for your big day and not one person can handle all the coordinating. Missy and her team are the best there is, hands down. I knew from the moment we met Missy that there was nothing to worry or stress about - they provided "day of" coordination, and from the get-go she gave us recommendations and honest answers to all of our questions about vendors, venues and (sometimes kooky) ideas, excellent advice, and really made us feel like our wedding was as important to her as it was to us. Whenever I had a question, either Missy or someone on her team responded immediately, which always helped alleviate any stress I was feeling. She was AWESOME when it came to helping us figure out what would work - and what would NOT work - with our wedding budget, gave us other ideas to explore and helped us stick within our budget without feeling like we were compromising on anything important to us. On the day of our wedding I knew I had NOTHING to worry about - and that feeling is priceless. She's also just totally hilarious and awesome, and made us feel like family - I love her! -

One of the best decisions I could have made was to hire Antonia Christianson and Team ACE for our big day! Missy and her team are exceptional and helped us in more ways than I can begin to count. I'm from Virginia Beach, but live in New York. My husband is from NY and wanted to have the wedding in Virginia Beach. So, essentially, I was a destination wedding! Not an easy task, by any means. And, boy did she deliver. I hired Missy rather quickly after our initial Skype interview. She immediately struck me as incredibly knowledgeable, yet approachable, warm and very personable. I felt as if she understood me, even though I had absolutely no clue what type of wedding I wanted. She and her team remained in constant contact with me throughout the planning process and also guided us in selecting excellent vendors; i.e. from the band, lighting, cake, etc... Everyone involved in our wedding was incredible! I'm also highly impressed with how Missy and her team were able to handle any situation with grace, professionalism and ease. Come time for the day of wedding, I can't believe how calm I felt, because I knew Missy and Team ACE would run the evening seamlessly. And, they did. I've heard repeatedly from many of my guests and other vendors how fantastic Missy is and I concur. My husband and I consider her part of our family! Hiring Antonia Christianson was the best decision I made in my wedding planning process. Antonia made my wedding a total success. Even though I got married in Paso Robles, California and Antonia is primarily based out of Virginia, I felt that Antonia and her team were always available to skype and email and guide me through the wedding planning process. Even though I did not meet Antonia until my rehearsal day, she immediately impressed me with her extensive 14 page minute by minute outline for my wedding. Antonia and her team were great to work with. Friendly and upbeat personalities! Antonia made it fun! Antonia and Alexia were also incredibly organized and helped my wedding to run seamlessly. Antonia and her team quickly solved many logistical pickles that arose during my day. When a rental table did not show up, Antonia was already on the phone calling the vendor. Because of Antonia's swift action, the table arrived and we were able to seat all of our guests. Antonia also kept track of all the emails I sent her detailing how I wanted to set up my sweetheart table, vintage rentals, sake tasting station, bubbles bar, cocktail hour, welcome station, guest book, favors table, wine tasting area, and cake table. Antonia executed my vision down to the last detail. I was impressed by the fact that I gave Antonia a dozen tupperwares filled with wedding decorations and she had already read my emails that described where to place all the decorations. Antonia styled every area perfectly. The icing on the cake is that Antonia has impeccable taste and was able to add unique decorating touches to our wedding. For example, she added fall leaves and fresh grapes to our welcome station and she hand wrote all of our chalkboard messages in pretty cursive. I don't know that I can really put into words the feelings and gratitude I have for the fantastic job Carolyn Cox (Stark) with Antonia Christianson Events did. Without question, my wedding would not have gone as well as it did if Carolyn had not been a part of the day. From our very first conversations, I felt as if we had known each other for years, which gave me great comfort trusting her with the handling of my wedding day. Carolyn is incredibly easy to talk to and goes above and beyond her duties as a coordinator. Most importantly (for a stressed out bride!), she is cool under fire, never letting on to anything that may be going wrong. If anything went wrong on my wedding day, I am still none the wiser to it. They were able to give us so many suggestions on how to make our wedding a success. Missy knows so many vendors and was able to suggest someone for all the little things I still needed to plan. We had ACE as our "day of" coordinator...but trust me, she was there for us for the whole process!! When it came time to narrowing down/picking/introducing us to new vendors, she was always there. She answered any questions that I had and was quick to respond and calm nerves. The vendors that she recommended were absolutely perfect! I felt like they were hand-picked just for us.
We loved how Missy met with us in person in her studio and later at the site of our reception as the date got closer. She made sure that we were in the loop with all the details of the day.
The day of went so smooth. It was super helpful to my wedding party to have the schedules she made up for them. Everything was flawless. She made sure everything was in the right place and people were there at the right time. All the gifts got to the car and my glass was never empty :)

As someone who considers herself well organized, I initially questioned the need for a planner, but I can say that ACE far exceeded expectations at every step and proved their value many, many times over. Wedding planners are definitely the unsung heroes of the wedding industry. After everything is said and done, our friends ooo and aaah over the beautiful the pictures are and how talented the photographer is. We do the same with the wedding video and when we recall the yummy food and beautiful singing. However, no one ever admires the fact that everyone was where they needed to be on time, how flawless the days events flowed, or how many crises were averted. So here is where I ooo and aahhh over my phenomenal wedding planner Missy Christianson, owner of Antonia Christianson Events. Missy truly amazed me with her extensive wedding know-how, leaving all my questions thoroughly answered every time.
It didn't realize the scope of a planner's job until I became very ill on my wedding day. Missy made sure I was comfortable and exhausted all options to get me feeling better in time to enjoy my reception. I consider myself blessed to have had her and her awesome team taking care of me that day, making my nightmare feel like a slight hiccup they could easily handle! And to think when I first became engaged, I thought I could do it on my own! Definitely not! Antonia Christianson Events is awesome! They were there with us through our entire wedding planning process, especially the month of our wedding. They were always available to answer any questions we had and gave us wonderful recommendations when it came to picking out/putting together our invitations, picking our DJ, choosing our person to make our cake, picking out coordinating table linens and so much more!
Our wedding was more beautiful than we thought it could ever be! Everything was planned and executed perfectly without a hitch!

As an out of town bride I was nervous planning a wedding from a different city. From the moment I walked into the Antonia Christianson Events (ACE) studio I felt my wedding anxiety disappear! Missy was available to help me stay on schedule, focus my ideas and suggest vendors that fit my vision! In the weeks leading up to our wedding Missy and her team helped me make all of the little details come together. I truly felt at ease when it was time for our big day! My fiance and I had met with several other wedding planners and felt that we would have to "settle" with them, but then we came across Antonia Christianson Events. I put an inquiry into the website and Missy personally called me herself to discuss my wedding. She and her staff always went above and beyond to make sure all of my questions and needs were met. What I truly appreciated the most was their responsiveness. I cannot say enough how amazing of a planner Missy at ACE is. She advised me every step of the way, well above what she needed to do, giving me advice from how to design the hall, logistics, and even what my mother should wear to the church! She listened to my gripes and complaints, and had an answer for every question I had. She was super organized, knowledgeable and was best of all, honest with me. Being a long-distance bride (NYC), I felt confident that she tied up all of the loose ends in Virginia. She has a great eye for design, understood my vision perfectly and was able to execute all of the details like I would have done myself.
My wedding was a mix of American and Nigerian traditions, and 600 guests. She handled all the logistics, last minute emergencies and the cultural aspects of the wedding with grace. Her team of assistants made sure that everything moved smoothly, and all the guests were happy. (With a wedding that large, that isn’t easy!)
In short, Missy was amazing. I would recommend her to any bride who wants a worry-free wedding day, with a planner you can be confident in.

Thanks to Missy and her events team, every detail of my wedding was absolutely PERFECT! I told her that i wanted a simple, rustic, fall themed wedding. She knew exactly what vendors to use for flowers, menu cards, linens, table decorations, even where to procure the perfect dress for me, and most of all the location. Missy arranged for us to be married in a small private garden with beautiful statuary and all my favorite flowers. We spoke our vows surrounded by friends and family, love was all around, and i will never forget how personal and intimate it felt to to stand there at that moment. Our ceremony was followed up by a bridal lunchon. The food was delicious, the waitstaff gracious and the fall colored decorations were breath taking. For my wedding day Missy created a fairytale and cast me as the princess! I couldn't have ask for anything more, it was just perfect!

For the 18 months leading up to our wedding Missy, the owner of Antonia Christianson Events (ACE), walked us through ever step of the process. She was there for me to bounce ideas off of, suggested specific vendors in our budget range, and was responsible for the complete set up and direction of the wedding day. She became a true friend during the planning process and I trusted her with every detail that I envisioned for my big day.
After learning that there was only a 2 hour flip time at our venue, Missy and her ACE team were amazing and brought together the whole reception design in the ballroom, as well as directing our guests to the correct waiting area before the ceremony then leading them up to the deck for seating. Missy was able to remove all stress from me, my mom and all of my immediate family members. A wedding planner is worth the expense for that alone.
Without Missy and her ACE team my big day may have been filled with negative emotions and stress. There is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY I would have had the reception design I did without her services. She executed the entire day flawlessly and I am so grateful for that.
I advise every new bride I meet to consider a wedding planner. A friend of the family who only has experience throwing community pool parties will not know the stress that can come up during the wedding day. An experienced wedding planner should be in EVERY bride's budget, even if it's for a Month of/Day of service. However, if your wedding is in the Virginia Beach area I highly recommend Missy and her ACE team for your planning needs. You will literally feel the weight lifted from your shoulders once you hear all about their services. -

Missy is amazing. I wanted a planner because I had a lot on my plate at the time, but still wanted to do most of the planning. Missy tailored her services to "month-of" where I contracted with the vendors and we would meet a few times just to go over details, decor, etc. Thank goodness I had her because she made me aware of sooo many things I hadn't thought of, got to know me, recommended some great vendors, and gave me great ideas along the way.
The day of the wedding Missy and her staff sprung into action. By getting to know me, she knew what I wanted, what I didn't, and was able to make independent decisions that were the same decisions I would've made. I didn't have to make the decisions and I was able to not have to think about it at all so I could truly enjoy my day. I got rave reviews from friends and family and I owe it to Missy.
