Our experience was unlike anything I expected! Angela and her team made it EASY and ENJOYABLE from start to finish. The first day we met, Angela asked us about our vision and she made it come to life! I cannot say enough incredible things about Angela and her team. I would highly recommend her for wedding planning services! I put my full trust in her and they made our wedding dream reality! It was an incredible experience from start to finish!! Shotgun for Sure!

Angela and her team are absolutely amazing! I got engaged and after two weeks of trying to figure out exactly when, where and how we were going to get married, we had a meeting with Angela. We sat down on a Saturday evening at my dining room table and before she left my home, I had bridal dress appointments and venue appointments booked. I was married one day shy of three weeks later. Yes, you heard me right, three weeks! Angela pulled off the most amazing ceremony and reception in THREE WEEKS! It was an evening that you see in a fairytale. A beautiful white draped ceremony in the round with hundreds of candles. I got tons of comments from guests saying it was the most intimate and beautiful wedding they had ever been to. A quick cocktail hour later, the room was transformed into the reception of our dreams. Every detail down to my children’s bibs on their reception seats, special vegetarian meals for guests and my comfy slippers under my head table. They really think of everything! Do yourself a favor and hire Angela and her team. You will not be disappointed! She made this yoga pant and t-shirt wearing girl a Cinderella for a day. And she made it look easy. We absolutely loved working with Angela and her team. They are so friendly, approachable and professional. Angela has beautiful ideas, great taste and is just overall fun to work with! I always knew I would have a big wedding, and in order to make that happen, I would need a top notch planner in Nashville. With a background in event planning myself, I was very particular about choosing who I would work with to make my wedding day perfect. I wanted someone who would be able to help me select vendors, but not force me to use their "partners," someone who shared my vision and could understand what I was trying to execute, someone who could manage timelines and schedules and keep me on-task as I have a very demanding job and travel a lot for work. I wanted to describe my vision and have a planner who could just make it happen. WOW - did Angela deliver! She made the planning process seamless, recommended wonderful vendors without pushing them on me, provided a detailed process for not only wedding weekend, but all planning activities leading up to the wedding and all payments required to vendors. There is no way we could have pulled off our perfect wedding day without Angela and her team!

Alison and Angela were truly incredible to work with. They created an unbelievable rehearsal dinner and wedding for my husband and I. Their team was professional, and we had complete confidence in them to carry out the perfect event (which they did). There is no request too big or too small that they can't accommodate, and they truly listen to you in regards to budget, wedding vision (or helping you form one if you don't have one), how you want to spend your money, etc. There were many things that I wanted to do myself as personal touches and other things I didn't have the time to deal with. They were open and accommodating for both. I would HIGHLY recommend them. I can't imagine a more capable team in the business!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!

Angela Proffitt. Where do I even begin to describe how wonderful this woman is? I am the girl who was planning her wedding at 5 years old, so my expectations for a planner were astronomical. Angela, Alison, and their wonderful team surpassed anything that I could've hoped for in a planner, and they made my dream wedding even better than I could've imagined myself. She is the only one to make your wedding absolutely perfect, and she does it with grace, confidence, and professionalism.

In your first meeting, Angela asks you to describe your vision in 3 words. She takes this vision and makes it happen with the best vendors possible for what YOU want. She also keeps everything within YOUR budget. She reminds you of the "needs" and the "wants" when making financial decisions, and if you have to sacrifice something, she finds a way around it to make it even better.

It is true what they say... SOMETHING will go wrong along the way. And it did. Without Angela, I don't know what I would've done. With her, it was as if the random issues before the wedding and the issues the day of the wedding had never even happened. My dress didn't have the correct beading when it came in. Alison, Angela's assistant, called Kleinfeld and had it shipped back and fixed immediately. The bridesmaids dresses came in GREEN instead of charcoal. Angela contacted the manufacturer while she was sick in bed to make sure that every single dress was replaced before the wedding. We had sound issues the day of the wedding, and I didn't even know about them until a month after the wedding!! Angela took care of them! These are some examples of the ways that I would not have survived my wedding without Angela and her team.

Angela brides are happy brides. If you want stress-free planning, you need Angela. If you want to truly enjoy your engagement and indulge in being a client, you need Angela. If you want to have a FUN and absolutely AMAZING wedding experience, you need Angela.

Do it! Angela and her team is worth it. We were able to focus on our wedding day and not have to worry about one thing. They made suggestions that help save money and/or put our money where it will be best used. Anytime I had a question, someone would either email me, text me or call to answer (almost immediately). I cannot give Angela and Alison enough rave reviews. They were perfect. Angela recognized my "wedding planning personality" and was super accommodating to me while helping out a ton! Everything was beyond beautiful. I've had a few of my friends say that I had "the wedding of the year"! Any idea or vision I had... she worked HARD to make it work. Since I wasn't from the area, she was super accommodating to my schedule and needs. She was always ready and available for long phone calls and tons of emails back and forth. THEY WERE AMAZING!

I got engaged while being a full time student and working 30 hours a week. I didn't have a ton of time or energy to plan a wedding but still wanted it to be everything my fiancé and I dreamed up... Angela and Allison were AWESOME! They are the standard!

There is absolutely no one more suited for planning a wedding than Angela. Not only is she on top of everything and accessible, she is a fine person and a joy to work with. I was also impressed with her team and the vendors she suggested. I do not believe (as well as my parents and husband) that any bride could ask for more professionalism from Angela. Oh my...what can I say that will adequately portray how we felt about Angela's services that would fit in this little box? Angela (and her team) are simply AWESOME! She is creative, fun, very easy to work with and made my wedding planning experience pain-free and FUN! Seriously- who can say that? I hear so many horror stories from other brides (that didn't use Angela) of things that went wrong...but I honestly can not relate at all. I loved every minute of my planning experience! I honestly can say, I really didn't stress much at all because I knew I had Angela every step of the way. My husband and I will truly never forget the moment we walked into the reception pavilion and saw all of Angela's ideas, creativity and hard work come to life. It was absolutely beautiful. We also later learned that a couple things went wrong behind the scenes (as they always do) and Angela fixed each one of them without us knowing A THING! I will never forget our wedding day for many reasons...but it went so smooth thanks to one person, Angela. I would absolutely recommend her - you CAN'T go wrong by choosing her. Her prices are reasonable and the peace of mind you get out of the experience is worth every single penny!

Most little girls dream about their wedding. My little girl made my dream wedding come true, along with the help from some new friends. 25 days ago, we got a call from the radio station NASH FM letting us know that we were the winners of the $100,000 Ultimate Dream Wedding. The first few hours afterwards didn’t seem real. Then I got a phone call from celebrity wedding planner (she hates when people say it…but it’s true so I’m going to brag), Angela Proffitt. Most brides would be freaking out if they had 20 days to plan their wedding, but I can honestly say, “Not me.” From the moment her timeline arrived in my inbox, I knew I was in great hands. Angela was going to make sure I got exactly what we wanted. She knew all the important questions to ask and how to take that information and transform it into the most incredible, jaw dropping, magical celebration I could never have imagined. You could spend a year researching which vendor to use for this or that…but why? Angela knows the best of the best and with her leading your dream team you can focus on what is really important …you! Anytime I had a question, Angela had the time and the answers. Need butterflies to release on my special day. Angela knew exactly who to call. I must admit I had no idea the amount of time and energy, thoughts, creativity, follow up and follow through it takes to pull off a near perfect event. ~ Words of Wisdom - really think thru your contacts verses Angela's contacts.... she has a relationship with her vendors, with that said - a relationship is defined in the quality of service you receive! The world is full of people that do the same thing - some just do it better - her contacts have this established relationship with Angela and her team - It completes your EVENT to perfection.

I learned this the hard way with choosing a different limo service - you could tell there was no commitment/ no relationship - which was the only negative of our day of wedding service !

Hiring Angela was almost as good a decision as saying yes when my husband asked me to marry him! haha. She was the savor in our planning process! You get overwhelmed and I am not great with visualizing a "look". Within minutes of meeting her and her assistant, I felt like she knew me and my husband instantly. She knew exactly what we were looking for and knew the best, and most cost effective way, to do that. On the day of our wedding, I literally didn't worry about anything. I was able to entirely enjoy the day with my bridesmaids and family. Something that my husband loved, and a few friends complimented on - was that Angela and her team were extremely professional and you barely knew they were there. They said that Angela wasn't bossing anyone around and that it was hard to tell who was the "leader" of the pack because she was working right along with everyone and they all had a happy energy throughout the day. YOU MUST HIRE HER! Bottom line :) I could go on and on!

Our wedding was Perfect, and the only reason I can say that (other than I married the Love of my Life and into an AMAZING family) is because we had Angela by our side every step of the way!!! I wish I could put a 10 out of 5 star rating for value because she was worth much more than we were quoted & billed for. Not only was she Amazing, but her staff was professional, courteous and accommodating as well. I have already recommended her to EVERY friend that I know is planning a wedding, and my Wife's sister in NYC will be using her as well based on our experience. There's something to be said about removing/reducing pressure from that big day, and with Angela taking care of everything, we felt very little of it (pressure). Any "problem" that may have arisen was quickly and efficiently taken care of, and we only found out about them afterwards; that's how seamless Angela and her team operate. Completely Satisfied!

We loved Angela! We planned a Nashville wedding out of Annapolis, MD so we were concerned about the distance planning but we did not need to be! When I couldn't be in Nashville for planning details- she would snap pictures of everything and send them to me so I knew what was going on. When I had a question- I could always reach her same day. She made the entire event stress free- SOO worth it. I don't know how we would have done it without her. She was very honest about pricing and when vendors were proposing a great deal and areas where we could cut costs. We grew to trust her so much that we booked a band for the welcome party based off her recommendation without ever hearing them- and they were a huge hit! exactly what we were looking for. We interviewed other wedding planners and we couldn't be happier that we chose Angela!

When my husband and I first got engaged, we weren't sure if we wanted to hire a wedding planner. I felt as if I was organized enough to plan our wedding on my own but my parents suggested hiring a wedding planner so that I wouldn't have too much on my plate. Hiring Angela was the best decision I made in the wedding planning process. She was SO incredible in everything she did. Never was she pushy by making me feel like I had to do things the way she wanted. My wedding was about me but Angela made my visions come to life. She always got back to me the same day I called, she was always on time, and she was just a great person to be around. She was great about making things work for our budget. She knew how to make a wedding look like a million dollars without costing that much. She always was in communication with the vendors so that everyone knew what was going on. My wedding day was the best day of my life and not once was I stressed. I completely trusted that Angela had things under control and she did. I would HIGHLY recommend Angela to anyone. She really gets to know her brides and makes their big day perfect!

Angela and her team did a fantastic job planning my wedding. It could not of been more perfect! Everything went flawlessly, and if something didn't go as planned, I never knew about it. She made the planning process so easy, and really tried to bring personal aspects of my fiance and I into our wedding. She always answered my e-mails within the same day, and texts/phone calls usually immediately. I loved working with her team, and they referred us to many great vendors--she literally payed for herself with all the tips she gave us.

I have never come accross a planner more connected, carring, valuable, fun, or creative as Angela. She truely loves what she does and wants every bride to have the most beautiful, most perfect wedding day. Angela is extremely creative and will invision special touches above and beyond what is necessary to make you feel like the most important person of the event. Every bride in her eye is unique, and she does a fabulous job of personalizing and ensuring your day is one of a kind! Angela and her staff are professional, but fun, and are priceless when it comes to staying stress free and making the planning process enjoyable. This is a 5.0 well deserved. This woman is a God send, and is the only person I have met who could pull off what she does. I'm going to comment on each of these categories so you understand just how indreble she and her team are.

Responsiveness: Regardless of what she has going on, she's always accessible. I would receive emails from her at 3 o'clock in the morning! She worked hard to make sure I knew she was there for me when I needed her.

Professionalism: Angela has the perfect balance of establishing a professional and personal relationship with you. I felt like she was my best friend, someone who would go to bat for me and would do anything she could to make the day amazing. And it was MORE than amazing. It was perfect. People commented all night on how they would watch her, and that she was so on top of her game the entire night. I never had any doubt of this, and it was nice to see that my guests recognized the hard work she was putting into the party. I actually cried at the end of the night because I was just overcome with gratitude.

Value: If there was a 10 star I'd give her that. I was one of those brides who really thought that I could do this on my own. I WAS WRONG. SHE WAS WORTH EVERY PENNY. One thing we regret the most was not having her just do the whole thing. It really would have been worth it. Also, when you work with Angela, you have access to the most amazing vendors in the entire world. They are amazing, and will make your day perfect. Yes, you are able to work with them without Angela, however you will never get the same result. It is evident to me that they are all close friends, and with it comes great communication on their part. Angela brings it all together. The value of her product is priceless.

Flexibility: I changed things right up until the day of. Angela had absolutely no problem with this. She was so amazing. Literally, I would ask her if something was possible, and she'd always be able to make it happen. Wow, I just can't say enough. Really.

I saved Quality of Service for last because I feel like all of the other things tie into that. She is a 10. Not a 5; a 10. Absolutely the best wedding planner in the world. I mean it. Angela, I cannot thank you enough for what you did for us. Zach, myself and our parents spent the entire day today talking about how amazing it was, and what a privilage it was to have you as our wedding planner. We all cannot thank you enough. We will keep trying though! :)

To anyone who is thinking of hiring this amazing woman, don't think about it for one more second. Just do it. You will never regret it.

As a mother of the bride, all I can say is "Thank you God for Angela Proffitt". We had a destination wedding and I never realized how much had to be done the week you arrive for the wedding. If Angela had not been with us, I don't think we could have pulled it off. There are SO many tiny details that people don't realize have to be done. Initially, we were not going to hire a wedding planner, but decided to because a friend recommended to, and it was worth every penny. There is so much behind the planning that the average person is unaware of- especially working with all the vendors. We worked with Jacki and she was wonderful and made us (my mother and I) feel at ease from the very beginning. My wedding planning with Jacki was so fun and my day turned out to be my perfect fairytale wedding that I had dreamed about. We loved our services so much that as a gift to a good friend who will be getting engaged soon, my mom wants to pay for half of the wedding planner because she was so worth it! In the beginning, I didn't think I'd need or want a wedding planner. However, about 6 months before the wedding I realized I needed some help and found Angela! WHAT A BLESSING!! Angela is absolutely amazing! Before the wedding, she gave us a ton of feedback and has so many vendor contacts who really do work well with her. On our wedding...Phew...SO many "isses" happened on that day that would have been terrible if it weren't for her! From pushy bridesmaids, to lost table clothes, to my bridal bouquet that showed up TOTALLY wrong....Angela handled everything without missing a beat and kept everything flowing throughout the whole day! I think the best part about Angela is....she didn't stop there! When we got back from the honeymoon and received our photos back, we found out our photographer had not used the proper lighting. About half of our photos where completely black. I was in a panic and called Angela. Her job/contract with us was completed but Angela truly cares so much about her brides that she once again jumped at the chance to help us out. She gave us the name of another photographer's assistant who could help us edit the pictures into something usable and she continued to follow up on how we were doing! THIS WOMAN IS AMAZING AND I CAN'T RECOMMEND HER ENOUGH!!!! It's a decision you won't regret!!! Thank you, Angela, for being such an important part of our special day!! :)

Angela was incredible! My husband and I are both very laid back, so it was nice having Angela on our side to make sure everyone was where they were supposed to be, when they were supposed to be there. She was so organized and our meetings were very productive and made sure that every little detail was taken care of. Angela is also so sweet and understanding of the stress brides go through. We couldn't have asked for a better planner!

The best decision my now-husband and I made for our wedding (other than getting married!) was to work with Angela and Ashley for our weekend. We'd planned most of the details before meeting with them about a month before the wedding--we realized that we wanted to spend the wedding day not worrying about the small details (when to walk down the aisle, who has the flowers, is the band ready, etc). And then when a thunderstorm came rolling in on our outdoor ceremony, boy was Ashley amazing! Luckily we did have an indoor reception in a beautiful barn ready to go. We just called Ashley and she said "just stay there and I'll call you when it's ready."

She had everything ready, working with the amazing catering staff as well, within 15-20 minutes. The entire ceremony re-set up! So many of our guests came up to us that night saying that they'd never forget our wedding. We had a blast and stayed calm the entire day, knowing that everything was taken care of. Thank you Angela and Ashley!!

I know that Elegant Weddings usually does full event planning, but I actually hired Jacki, one of their directors for day of planning only. She was recommended by my friend Kate who would do a wonderful job as well if she was your director. Jacki was awesome. My dad kept saying over and over that she was the best money we spent. We thought she was just doing day of, but she was much more. She made up a detailed timeline for the weekend and emailed it to all involved. She set up a vendor meeting at my venue to make sure everyone was on the same page. She helped me find ways to save money. One great example was that the light quote I had gotten from the venue I used was for 2000 dollars, so I was going to scratch the whole thing. Jacki put me in direct contact with the lighting guy and I got a great package for 600 and guess what, he was the same lighting guy the venue used! The day of, she was such a big help and our rehearsal was efficient and useful b.c of her asisstance as well. I am very thankful to her. This was a great choice.

My guess is that Angela Young Proffitt is the next premiere wedding planner in Nashville. There are a few that you hear about, with fancy dress boutiques, and client lists that could double as the young couples directory for all of Belle Meade. But those ladies better look out because Elegant Weddings by Angela is on the scene!

My wedding is in October which is when I firmly believe I'll be able to add a fifth star to my review. Until then, here's why Angela gets 4:

One star for her organizational skills. I've got lists and spreadsheets a'plenty to keep me on track and stress free (well, as much as possible). We won't miss a thing with Angela at the helm.

A second star for her work ethic. I'm a career woman and I travel lots. It's not uncommon for me to talk with Angela at 9pm on a Tuesday or receive a diluge of email responses from her at 1am. I never worry that she'll get back to me with answers to my questions. And since phone calls are available with unlimited frequency under the package I purchased, she's always accessible and prompt with response.

A third star is for her connections. This woman knows loads of really fabulous folks. And she knows them well. When I described my vision for my wedding, I'm pretty sure she already knew which vendors I would pick, even though she gave me several to consider. That's talent! Plus, everyone I've met with speaks so highly of her and says that they enjoy working with her brides since everything always goes so smoothly. That's great reassurance.

A fourth star is for her attitude. We've had only one mishap with vendors for our wedding so far, and she was so lovely to manage my disappointment and come up with several other options that made my fiance and I feel really great about the replacement. She's great with family members and fiances and just super fun to be around.

Based on all of this, you might surmise that she's already the premiere wedding planner in Nashville. I'd say that assumption is not far from the truth at all. I can only imagine what great things the next few years have in store for Angela.

From the very first time I spoke with Angela, I knew I wanted her to plan my wedding. She has a keen sense for details and you know that when she's handling your event, everything will be PERFECT! She was not only a wedding planner to my mother and me, she became a close friend. We spoke almost everyday and we felt as though we were her only client. Every vendor we used came from her recommendation and we were not dissapointed with any of them. All of our vendors have a tremendous talent for what they do and Angela takes the cake in wedding planning. If you want your wedding to go off without a hitch, hire Angela for your event. Without her and her staff I don't know how we would have pulled our wedding off!

Angela is awesome! My husband and I worked with her for ten months leading up to our wedding and I can't imagine having planned my wedding without her. I lived out of state, but even if I hadn't, it would have still been completely worth the money to use her. She knows all the high quality vendors, all the answers to every question we had, she's VERY responsive, she's so patient and understanding and only wants the couple to enjoy their day. I'm so glad that I didn't have to unload tasks on the wedding day to unsuspecting family members. Angela planned our entire wedding day from the tiniest things to the biggest things, and I didn't worry about a thing the day-of.

Angela was absolutely amazing. I'm a pretty organized person but as we all know, you can never be too organized to plan a wedding. She is one of the most hardworking and organized individuals I have ever worked with. More importantly, she is passionate about what she does and it shows when you finally arrive at your wedding day! Everything ran smoothly and if it did, Angela's team worked quickly behind the scenes to resolve any problems. The result was a beautiful wedding day that my family and I enjoyed. I would highly recommend Angela to anyone. It was well worth the cost and Angela saved me thousands of dollars in the long run because I didn't waste any money, and quickly found the best, most affordable vendors in town. Made our wedding day a dream!

Angela and her assistant Amanda were amazing. They were very prompt in their responses and gave plenty of options to allow us to create our ideal wedding day. They were exceptional on our wedding day and made sure everything went as smooth as possible. We are so appreciative of ALL their hard work that went into making our special day so wonderful!

Angela truly made our wedding wishes come true! Our wedding was on December 8, 2012 at Fontanel Mansion in Nashville, TN.
We live in California, so it was hard for me to make it out for many of the meetings. I put all of my trust in her to make the right decisions for pretty much everything. She listened to exactly what I wanted and definitely delivered. She did had so many unique design ideas that I never would have thought of without her. I can't imagine what our wedding would have turned out like if Angela wasn't our planner.
Our guests also had an absolutely amazing time! They cannot stop talking about it. I also overheard the staff at Fontanel Mansion saying that they have never seen it look so beautiful.
I love Angela and her team and am so glad I had the pleasure of working with them.

Angela is not only a lovely human being to be around, but is also a fantastic wedding planner. I trusted her throughout the entire process to take care of me and give me the wedding I've always dreamed of. She is beyond thorough and goes the extra mile the day of your wedding to make sure that you are satisfied. Her vendors are all top notch and I know my wedding wouldn't have been as fabulous if I had worked with someone else. I really enjoy our wedding working sessions/designs days where she was 100 percent devoted to me and helped me think through logistics I would have never considered on my own. She offers a wonderful service that I would highly recommend to any bride.

My husbands parents were so generous as to gift us with our dream wedding. However, they are not from Tennessee so they did not know which vendors would be reliable vendors to work with. Fortunately through some research we were able to connect with Angela. She was very helpful and walked us through the process and delivered her greatest contribution which was, the idea to have our wedding and reception at the beautiful Nashville Symphony. If it wasn't for Angela we wouldn't have even known it was an option. For any brides to be out there who are entertaining the idea of a wedding planner, know that if you should decide to hire Angela, that you will have "what is the overwhelming conscience" the top wedding planner in Nashville. To some people a job is nothing more than a pay check and a fake smile. To Angela it is quite obvious this is her passion.
