  wedding planner

  We are extremely grateful that we found Amelia to help plan our wedding! She was very organized - had a great planning binder that she shared with us, and did a great job of keeping track of both the big picture and all the details that came up along the way (she either has a fantastic memory or took really good notes during our meetings). She was very easy to reach throughout via email or text, and always on time (early in fact) to meetings.
  Because we were on a budget, it took us a while to find a venue that we both liked and could afford. Amelia was super patient and just kept doing research and booking visits for us until we found one we loved. I appreciated how calm she was throughout - at times when I was stressing, she stayed calm and projected confidence that things were going to work out fine. Which they did!
  I also have no idea how we would have managed the day of the wedding without her. She kept everything running smoothly despite all the glitches on our part (forgotten items and unfinished decor - probably more things but I didn't notice them because she made it work anyway!) We also had a great experience with all the vendors she recommended.
  One thing I might do differently would be to figure out if she could do a custom planning package with just the services we needed, since we booked the full service planning but then decided to do some things ourselves, like invites and the website. I think she went above and beyond on all the things we did ask her to do, and her rate was definitely reasonable, but since her current rates (deservedly!) have gone up, this might be something to ask about.

  Wedding Day of Coordinator

  I hired Amelia as the DOC for my wedding and am so happy I did. I think I had a pretty good hold on things and with Amelia's help everything came together with ease. She met me the day before to do a walk through and quick rehearsal to get a good view of the layout we'd created. Then on the big day she was there from setup to tear down! She handled my vendors with ease, kept my timeline moving (we actually ended up ahead of schedule!), and helped keep things well organized. She knew when extra help was needed and also when to let friends and family have a moment as well. I don't think the day would have gone as smoothly without her!

  Amelia did a wonderful job planning our daughter's wedding. We were pressed for time, but she was able to handle everything in a prompt manner. Anytime we had questions or concerns, she got back to us quickly and set our minds at ease. The vendors she offered us were top notch. The caterers food was like dining in a fine restaurant. The food was actually served hot! The florist Amelia gave us, did above and beyond. We had issues with the weather and had an outdoor wedding planned. The florist split the alter site flowers up at the last minute, after waiting on a torrential rain storm, to half inside and half outside. She created two beautiful options for us. And at this same last minute, Amelia was moving decorations around because of the weather plan changes, as well as handling all the other wedding preparations. She did everything in such a calm and professional manner. Thanks to Amelia, we ended up with a beautiful outdoor wedding!

  If you as the bride, groom or parents of the bride want to be able to just sit back and enjoy the day and not miss anything because you have to set everything up or track down vendors, or keep everything on time...then you should definitely hire Amelia. She is amazing and is not afraid of doing the hard work to keep your wedding on track while doing some heavy lifting as well. She helped in every aspect of the wedding and even changed a few things in the ballroom with our permission because they actually worked better. Her experience with weddings can keep you from making rookie mistakes! She has a bible ( binder with dividers) she provides to every bride and we followed those instructions to the "T" and even pulled together the wedding day "emergency kit" she suggested and boy are we glad we did. We used over half of those items including, tape, hammer, safety pins, scissors. Wow! We would have never thought of that. She kept the guys in order and no one was ever missing and she always knew where everything was. I will be forever thankful to her for helping make my baby girls day a beautiful and memorable one! I honestly don't know she is able to complete so many tasks in such a short time.

  Amelia was exceptional! Very organized & flexible with my ideas and offered suggestions. Even though we had a small intimate wedding, the logistics were still the same as a large wedding, so I'm glad she thought of everything & brought up things I forgot! It was also super helpful & convenient to be able to use some of her wedding rentals! The day got chaotic at one point but Amelia stayed on top of things from start to finish.

  Amelia was fantastic from start to finish! She was very thorough during our two meetings, and on the day of, she was a busy bee! The best part was she basically handled everything, without bothering us (unless it was absolutely necessary)! Everything was beautiful and she and her assistant were WELL worth the money! Can't recommend her enough, I seriously can't imagine having done the day without them!!

  Amelia was fantastic! She was on time and helped us when we were lost. there are so many details that you don't think about when planning but she helped with all of them. She also provides some rentals that we were able to use including a send off sparkler package. Everyone loved our wedding and she was a huge part in making that happen.

I am a very type A person so I was nervous about "handing over the reigns" to the wedding but knew i couldn't possibly be both the bride, MC, coordinator, etc. I am very glad we hired Amelia and I knew right away when I first met her that she was the right girl for the job. She came very prepared to our first meeting with an extensive binder of information to keep us on track.

If you need a Wedding Coordinator hire her, she is the best.

  Amelia was a pleasure to work with and I would definitely use her with a future event. She was not only prompt for meeting times, but always there early. She reviewed all our plans, knew just the right questions to ask to make those plans happen, and then made suggestions that improved the outcome. On the day of the wedding, she and her assistant were pleasant with our vendors, yet communicated clearly so that all was executed exactly on time making the wedding activities look as if they occurred without effort. Afterwards, my guests told me that ours was the best and most memorable wedding they could remember.

She brought to our attention several small things that we hadn't thought of, helped us craft (and execute) a great day-of timeline, coordinated with our vendors on the day of, helped problem solve small issues that came up last minute, set up our decor, and helped pack up our stuff at the end of the night which was so crucial! Seriously we would have been lost without her.   Best Day Ever!

  We hired Amelia as our day of coordinator and she did an awesome job! She took charge during the rehearsal the day before and let us know where to go. The day of went so smoothly because of her! She organized all of the vendors, and she took my decorations and made everything look beautiful! I didn't have to worry about anything because I knew she had it, she was the best!

  Perfectly adequate day of coordinator

  Amelia was our Day of Coordinator. She adequately provided the duties as stated in her contract but nothing beyond that. If you are looking for someone to execute on a plan that you come up with mostly on your own, she is really great at that. Every other vendor we worked with was happy to go above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect, but we unfortunately did not get that same feeling from her. She is very detail-oriented over the phone, but we had to be very proactive with her in the months leading up to our wedding. I never fully understood her communication style or had the comfort of knowing she was doing everything she could to make sure everything was taken care of. My advice to future brides is to very thoroughly read her contract. From what I have heard talking to other brides, she is not your typical day of coordinator. She is willing to contribute ideas to your final timeline and floor plan and assists you in getting started with these items during your two meetings, but it is absolutely up to you to get this work done in the final weeks before your wedding. Since I could not be at the reception venue while we were getting ready and she was setting up, I cannot speak to how she worked with the other vendors but we showed up at the reception and everything was decorated according to plan and looked great. I know she put in a ton of work on the actual day of to set up and clean up according to our plan, so we thank her for that and think she did an excellent job at that.

  Amelia was our Day of Coordinator. She adequately provided the duties as stated in her contract but nothing beyond that. If you are looking for someone to execute on a plan that you come up with mostly on your own, she is really great at that.   Overall, we were a little disappointed in the quality of work we received from Amelia. Separate coordinators came with our ceremony venue as well as our reception venue, but Amelia required that we hired her assistant as well for an added charge. So, since we had a total of four coordinators (including Amelia and her assistant), we expected Amelia to fulfill the remaining duties that she had on her plate which we think fell short. Although Amelia was really helpful during our phone calls prior to the wedding, it was a little disappointing that she failed to listen to some of the requests we had. For example, she asked who should take the wedding cakes home after the reception and I answered that my parents should. However, instead, to-go boxes of cake were passed out at the end of the reception like party favors, which was really upsetting considering the bride, groom, and parents of the bride were looking forward to trying the cake that they picked out and paid for. I’m not saying Amelia passed them out (I don’t know who did), but it was her duty to make sure my parents got the cake like we agreed on, but they didn’t receive any.
  
  If you hire Amelia for your wedding, be sure to read her contract very closely because she will absolutely not do any favors outside of her contract. To elaborate, we paid Amelia for 10 hours (3pm-1am) the day of our wedding. Since Amelia couldn’t go into the reception venue and start working until 4pm (due to the venue’s hours), I asked her if she could do me a favor and come by our hotel on the way to the reception venue and take an easel that needed to be dropped off. Although this favor would take about 10 minutes and was in the time window when we were paying her, she said that is outside of her contract and she cannot help us. Various other mishaps occurred as well, leaving us disappointed in the service we received.

  I am very sorry to hear your experience with us did not meet your expectations. As with all of our clients, I hope you know that we strive to provide the best service possible and do everything in our power to accommodate and serve you and your family. I think there might have been some miss communication with your family. I offered them all the left over cake and they chose to take a few pieces and I saw some family members take it upon themselves to do some rearranging of table numbers during the reception. I have no problem taking the blame for others actions the day of because that is what I’m here for I just thought you should know. We actually ending up coming an hour early and got everything set up so I could come to your ceremony and be there for moral support even though you had another coordinator there I really wanted to be there for you if you needed anything. I really wish I could say yes to any and all requests a bride makes but for liability reasons I just can’t. I sincerely hope your wedding was all you had hoped for and that you are enjoying life as newlyweds!
