We had such a wonderful experience with Susan planning our entire ceremony. It was as beautiful as we hoped and completely stress free. Susan was so well prepared for the weather turning rainy she was able to ask our hotel for a covered lanai so we didn’t need to delay our ceremony planned for the beach. Susan recommended a terrific pastor Susan Barfield, photographer Eugene Kam who offered to delay photos to the next sunny day, Ukulele player Dereck Kami and flowers from Florist Grand. Great Experience!!
I am a bride affected by Coronavirus and I had to make the devastating decision with my fiancé to cancel our May 2nd wedding happening in Hawaii. While planning, I had the opportunity to work with some amazing people, and I am saddened that these folks will not be doing my wedding. I wanted to give a shoutout to Susan O’Donnell. I was struggling to find a wedding planner that I felt a connection with, but then we met Susan! What felt like 45 minutes was a 2 hour meeting and consultation. Time just flew by! Susan is a true industry professional. She has a calm demeanor, which will make any bride feel at ease, and is patient. During our consultation not once did she look at her phone, or give us a time limit. Also during the process Susan referred me to several amazing vendors that I ultimately picked and contracted with. She really took my needs and “must haves” into consideration when referring vendors to me. She also would date check them as well to confirm availability before referring me to them. Unfortunately I had to cancel my wedding, but based on the year long experience and time I was working with Aloha Wedding Planners and Susan, I know my day would’ve gone off without a hitch (or if there was an issue, I felt confident Susan would be there for me). Thank you Susan for all you do and did for my wedding.

Susan O'Donnell was outstanding as my wedding planner.
Susan O'Donnell wowed my new husband and I in all areas of being our wedding planner. I am in a similar business regarding customer service so my eyes are trained when it comes seeing others ability in a service driven industry! From her friendly nature, knowledge of the areas and venues, attention to detail she gets an A Plus in my book. The "above and beyond" things she did were the icing on the cake! Susan listened very carefully to me as to who was who with the guests. Before the wedding, she greeted everyone who came, kept an eye out for who was in the wedding, and during the evening made sure all guests were properly introduced. Pam is the BEST
Aloha Wedding Planners did my on-the-day coordination, and did an amazing job. They are very professional and easy to deal with, especially if you get married at the Moana Surfrider, as the relationship is already established between venue and planner.
Pam worked with me for the month before the wedding, and then met with us a few days before and at our rehearsal. For an on-the-day coordinator this was very hands-on and I feel she went above and beyond the call of duty.
You can tell that Pam loves what she does. Her goal was to make my life easier and to make sure I enjoyed my wedding day and had a chance to take it all in. Thanks to her I was so calm and relaxed on my wedding day, and cannot thank her enough for all the ways she helped us.

There are not enough words to express how wonderful Aloha Wedding Planners- specifically Susan and Michelle- were to us! Our wedding was a re-marriage after a 4 year separation. We wanted an intimate ceremony that would be very personal for my husband and I as well as our children. Michelle and Susan gave us just that and more! I was nervous planning a wedding so far away and not knowing really much about the area or anything. Michelle and Susan guided us through the process and put my mind at ease. Everything from the hairdresser, to the flowers to the pastor were EXACTLY what we wanted. It sounds corny and unbelievable to say but truly our wedding day was perfect- just what we wanted. They listened to us and helped us plan a uniquely personal and touching ceremony- just what we wanted. I highly recommend these wonderful ladies. Susan was amazing. She was genuinely invested in making sure our wedding happened exactly the way we wanted it. She was a genius in helping us fill in the holes in our plans and making sure we were on schedule with vendors. The days leading up to the wedding were as close to stress-free as they could be because we knew Susan had everything planned out and that we could just go and enjoy our wedding without worrying about the logistics.

Susan provided outstanding wedding coordination, from acquiring a beautiful, private beachfront estate, taking care of all the permits, scheduling a thoughtful minister, to hiring the services of an excellent photophapher and musician to play at our son's wedding. She even arranged for the wedding to be filmed at the last minute, providing an excellent filmmaker who shot and edited an excellent DVD that will be treasured as a wonderful reminder of a very happy family wedding event. The photographer's placement of our son and daughter-in-law in so many cute and picturesue poses really added to the photographic journal of the wonderful ceremony. Susan was fantastic from the moment we contacted her on a very short timeline. We wanted a simple but beautiful ceremony and we ended up on gorgeous Kahala Beach at her suggestion. Susan took care of everything from the location/permits, to the minister, the flowers, limo and even getting me and my stepdaughter a fabulous salon on a day's notice. She also hired us the most amazing photographer, Nicole Seu, from Studio 3511. And if all that wasn't enough she sent us off to the most amazing Luau in Paradise Cove to celebrate with the kids. The entire staff at Aloha Wedding Planners is increadable. They were very friendly, professional and took time with us to answer many many questions that we had. They took the special time to make it very personal and not commercial. I liked that very much.
Susan and Pam were the best in every aspect. Our photographer had the best ideas and took the BEST pictures! He has a very creative eye and you will be very happy with him!! Our wedding could not have been any better!! It was perfect!

We were married on beautiful Sunset Beach in Feb. 2012. We really wanted a north shore wedding on Oahu and they had several places to choose from. The wedding was awesome. Minister Bob was great! Photographer and videographer were top notch. They even helped up get a rush order on the video so we could show it at our small reception when we got back, which was a huge success! We also descided last minute that we wanted to go out and have a nice meal in our wedding attire, and cruise around in the limo some more, Susan called them and booked it right away. Everything we wanted was there for us, at a great price. Working with Susan O'Donnell and Pamela Tom of Aloha Wedding Planners was the best decision that we made for our wedding. I honestly do not know what we would have done without them. I'm an only child, my husband is an oldest child, and neither of our sets of parents had large weddings, so we were starting from scratch in terms of knowledge about the planning process; I also was planning the wedding from outside of Hawaii. Su and Pam were truly incredible. They are exceedingly professional, organized, knowledgeable, and a delight to work with. I don't even where to begin! The wedding "Team" as I called them, Susan (wedding planner) Huanani (coordinator) Vilma, the photographer were more amazing than i could dream of! I can't tell you how everyone worked together to make the most romantic and the best day of my life :)
It was my first visit to Hawaii, and I can not wait to come back...the people were all so authentic and kind, we met some great people, that we keep in touch with.

Susan was a pleasure to work with. She is friendly, honest, open, and easy-going. She always returned my e-mails in a timely manner and had answers to all my questions. I would not have been able to pull off our ceremony on my own, having to do all the legwork long distance. You need someone local, with the right contacts, who knows the area and can make intelligent suggestions if you're not sure where to go next. The day we finally met, I was not disappointed. She is a lovely lady who genuinely cares about the people she works for (the couple) and with (photographer, Kahu, etc).
She knew the right place to send me for the bridal make-up and hair, found an awesome baker who could work with our very limited choices due to our dietary restrictions. The cake was bigger and better than we could have imagined. Our flowers were just so beautiful.
Our ceremony was at Sunset Beach, at sunset. Unfortunately, the days leading up to the big day were stormy and Susan kept watch on the weather, ready at a moment's notice to coordinate with our photographer and our Kahu to either move the venue or postpone to the next day. She always kept us informed.
The ceremony was wonderful, took place at the appointed time at the right place. Susan made sure that ceremony went off without a hitch, at least those elements that were within her control. We highly recommend Susan if you are getting married in Hawaii. We were referred to her by a friend since we were planning a wedding in Oahu and had no idea who to trust. Having never met her, she was great at calling us, returning emails very very quickly. She found the best minister, Rev Ron, who was awesome, along with a photographer and video guy. Our pictures came over in less than 2 weeks which look fantastic and the video rocks as well. The beach she had us get married on in the North Shore was beautiful.
