This is me along with some thought and shells I've gathered as I have walked the sandy beaches of time, take or leave it. I live the life of the "Man in The Arena" (Theodore Roosevelt.) Hopeless Romantic with a deep love and connection to the waters of the Caribbean and the high Slopes of Utah Skiing areas. The smell of a camp fire, crisp mountain morning air with that hint of sage as it warms, the smell of the ocean, sand between your toes, the sweet smile on your kids’ faces as they learn and love nature. The calm of their innocent faces as they sleep and dream. I believe in eye to eye contact, deep long kisses that never end, the butterflies your stomach gets when you are with the person you love. It can never be the driver in any relationship, but baby I love those true carnal connection moments of the merging two souls in hot sensual passion that just calls to you every time you see your partner. Long walks on the beach just letting the waves do the talking as you hold hands. Long nights snuggling by the fire or in comfy chairs holding good depth filled conversation to continue even after 25 yrs. to peel back another layer of your partners onion. (if you can’t communicate you are with the wrong person. Move on NOW. you won't regret it.). It’s not what the package looks like that you truly fall in love with. But that outer beauty has a purpose. Aim to keep it in the best shape you can. Allow yourself to become adventurous together. It builds your connection, trust and your yearning for each other. The worst marriages are those that have become stagnant and boring. Grow together, If you grow or are seeking to grow and add to your human topography and your mate is just peachy keen with where he/ she is at, your marriage will find very bad places with potentially devastating outcomes. You will change over the years, but work to guide those changes towards mutually beneficial and mindfully strategic places that you don't sabotage your oneness or individuality. Be individuals but be soul mates who love and understand and appreciate that individuality. challenge yourself and your mate to become better versions of yourself each and every day. Again COMMUNICATE. (I say this with all the love on the world. I am happy where I am at. But at one time there was a very very special person whom I thought I was simply a friend, out of her ballpark, no way she could feel the same. I tried to express my feelings but didn’t do a good job of it. I loved her and loved her very deeply, truly she was my soul mate. I knew it then and I know it 28 yrs. later, but with my poor efforts and her never saying how she really felt it never happened. Years later I was horrified to find out from a group of friends and my wife that they all saw it, could feel it and just never told me, figured I had just made a choice. Not a day goes by that I don't think her with great fondness. That tells me something. I have thought of simply writing her a letter to express my feelings so that she would know I didn’t just shun her. I honestly didn’t know. (now some reading this will say I am dog, forget it, you lost move on. don't disrespect what you have and have had for the last 25 yrs. - and I respect those sentiments. But I believe in being true to yourself.) but communication is key to all strong relationships. without it eventually you live life roommates not soulmates. Just a few words form a beat-up old man with a lot of hard-earned road knowledge. Wishing all you a very happy happy prosperous life together,

Happily married 🎉
