Wedding details
It was Saturday November 11, 2000; the Los Angeles Clippers just defeated the Atlanta Hawks 115-106. Still being early in the night, Asagia and his good friend, Greg, decided to pay a visit to Ware Hall on Clark Atlanta University's campus. While in the lobby of Ware Hall, Guy and Greg were mingling with the lovely ladies as they entered and exited the dorm; when Asagia spotted his bright future out of the corner of his eye. By bright future, I am referring to the bright lime green pants she was wearing that almost tore a hole in his retina. Luckily he had enough strength to stop staring at her perfectly shaped body and gaze up at that beautiful chocolate face of hers (after that glance it was a wrap). Anyway, back to the story. Guy being his charming self, and already knowing the girl Tiffany was hanging with, decided he would stroll over to the ladies and try his luck with Tiffany. He went over to speak, said "hi" to Michelle, gave her a hug, and then looked at Tiffany, gave her a hug and said “heeeey girl how you been I haven’t seen you in years”. After several minutes of small talk, Tiffany did not realize Asagia took her cell phone. He didn’t take her phone in a thieving manner, he told her he wanted to see what games she had on it because her phone was the updated version of his phone; but really he was putting his phone number in it. The Long Wait Eventually Guy and Greg leave the dorm (probably to go study on a Saturday night; Guy was still under 21 and would never be clubbing and drinking at the young age of 20). As they departed, Guy told Tiffany to give him a call. Tiffany gave him a look of confusion and said “How? I don’t have your number.” Guy tells her “Don’t worry, just think about me and look in your phone and my number will magically appear.” Here we go…1 week…2 weeks…3 weeks…four. Still no phone calls from the girl he adores. With all this time passing, and no phone call Guy could have easily been the one who called first, but did not want Tiffany to think he was crazy or a stalker (Guy had her number, but Tiffany did not know this piece of information at the time). The First Outing After about 3 months of no phone calls, even though they would often sit in front of Tiffany's dorm for hours and talk, Guy decided “enough is enough and this girl needs to go out with me off campus so she can realize what an awesome guy(no pun intended) I am”. With his wingman, Greg, they drove over to Ware Hall to pick Tiffany and Michelle up so they could all go out. When they arrived at the dorm and asked the girls to roll with them, Michelle said “Cool let’s ride!” (She always hung out and shared laughs with Guy and Greg.) Tiffany said she wanted to go but she was waiting for someone to come see her. So, out of fear that this someone was a male and he had a car (Guy was still rolling Shotgun in Greg’s car at the time), Guy did the only logical thing he could think of; he decided to do that which was instilled in him since birth, use that “Chicago Game”. He told Tiffany, "Why wait for someone that may never show up then you'll be sitting here bored and alone?" He then told her, “I know you’re hungry and the first thing we are going to do is go get some food."(This works like a charm on someone that's been eating campus food for 3 months straight.) Now, Guy said more things to Tiffany in-order to get her to go with him, but I cannot disclose that information for it will give away age old secrets pertinent to “Chicago Game”. After Guy's dialogue with Tiffany all she could do was stare at Michelle in disbelief. Michelle said, "See, I told you they were crazy but you will be safe with them and you will have a lot of fun.” After about 30 seconds of deep thought Tiffany said, “Argh! Fine, I’ll go with y'all, but you better bring me back tonight and y'all better feed me.” It’s a Wrap After that night, well….it was a wrap. Tiffany realized she was in “AWE” with Guy. Within the next year, she also realized he was the one she was going to marry (How do you woman know these things weeks, months, years, decades before us men). That same night, Guy realized Tiffany was truly amazing and definitely a keeper. He didn’t realize he was in love with her until a few years later, a couple of years after that he realized he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her, and a couple of years after that he finally was able to admit he was totally smitten by this gorgeous, caring, nurturing, loving, cooking, cleaning, teaching but also able to listen to learn, understanding, passionate, soulful, and most awesome of the awesomest(I know it’s not a real word but it’s the best way to describe Tiffany) woman. The Conclusion After countless years (ok, 11 years) of ups and downs, more ups than downs (the downs always seem longer but the ups make them magically disappear), Asagia Lovaski Washington and Tiffany Donnice Felder on November 11, 2011 will become Mr. & Mrs. Asagia Lovaski Washington, exactly 11 years since the day they first met.
