We met through the Queen, and shes a pretty good match-maker if we do say so ourselves! It was 24 November 2009, the first day of HRH Queen Elizabeth's Royal Visit to Bermuda (and my first day of work) that our formerly parallel lives finally intersected. All local media was pooled together. While meeting new collegues, Mark stood out. It was crush at first sight. Or first joke. I'm a sucker for a sense of humour. Fast forward a year and various life events, our friendship eventually developed into something more - and here we are today planning our wedding! Mark proposed 19 September 2013 while on vacation in Savannah. We had spent the morning photographing one of my favourite spots - Bonaventure Cemetery -, when taking a break by the water turned into Mark on his knee! Some people might think a proposal in a cemetary sounds creepy, but given the amount of dates we'd gone on photographing them it was more than fitting!
