Wedding details
Drew was working at Skyline Elementary which happened to be the same place that Stephanie's father, Gary, recently started working. He knew that Steph was looking for someone who was intelligent, hard working and good looking, but most of all someone who would be able to take care of her. So, Gary decided to start playing match maker. Every so often he would come home from work telling stories about Drew to Steph which made her want to meet him. Little did she know that Drew had no idea that this was even happening. One afternoon Drew was in the process of searching for a home to buy and as he walked out to his car Gary (who looked like Mr. Clean) stopped him and shook his hand and said, "I'm going to set you up with my daughter." Drew just smiled and walked away, all the while saying inside his head, "alright crazy guy, I don't think I want to meet her." As the end of the school year approached, Stephanie finally built up enough courage to write an email to Drew asking if we would like to meet up and hang out sometime. Drew agreed, and had her call him when she got back into town. They decided to go out on Friday, June 13th. Yes that's right, Friday the 13th! He drove over to her house where Drew would pick her up and take her out for some ice cream at Coldstone! After getting some ice cream they made there way through the rain over to Jason's Deli to get to know each other. This is where it was revealed that even though Stephanie had been informed about Drew, no one had even mentioned Stephanie to him! Imagine her embarrassment to find out not only did she email this guy and ask him to get together, but he had no idea who she was when she did so! Steph and Drew came away from that night both feeling pretty good about how the night went. As they continued the courtship it hit a real rocky patch quickly. Steph wanted to get Drew over so that she could cook him dinner and was all set-up when about 1 hour before Drew was supposed to be there, he called her up and said that his cat had gone missing! He said that he was going to have to cancel and of course she thought it was all made up and that he didn't want to be with her. It wasn't until later that she really understood that he was telling the truth about his beloved Lola. In what felt like a whirlwind, 2 years 9 months quickly went by and Drew and Stephanie found themselves running a 5K together. It was Steph's goal to run the race all the way through the finish line. She was able to reach that goal with Drew at her side. They then decided to relax by the pool for the afternoon where Drew asked if Steph wanted to go to the beach and have dinner that night. At about 6:00 that night they made there way down the to the beach. Drew asked Steph if she would like to walk on the beach, which she agreed to do. They arrived at the beach and took off their flip flops and began a short stroll down the beach. The sun was setting so Drew asked to stop and watch it set. He waited a few seconds and proceeded to get down on his knee and propose to Stephanie! And as they say, THE REST IS HISTORY!!!
