In 2008, I was online browsing on Blackplanet.com, I came across my fh profile and thought what a cutie. However, he had this one picture on his profile where he was looking like he just thought he was the s***, me being the little smart mouth person I can be. I had to send him a message talking mess. We chatted online for a while, and then we talked via phone for a while. Always great friendly conversation. Then one night we decided to meet at Denny's for a late night snack. He was just getting off work, I was heading home from girls night out. So of course I was looking pretty fly.. He still talks about the dress I was wearing.. After we first meet we had our first official date, on that first date I realized I had meet me match, my king, my other half.. But of course I wouldn't tell him that. We were fine till early 2009. But he began to back away (later found out it was because his feelings for me were scaring him). Then poof he was gone. A year went by; we went on with our lives. Explored other relationship, but still manage to always check in with each other, see how one another were doing. Even discussed our current relationships. Well my relationship ended and so did his. We began to talk more and more... Then we started going out. Then out of the blue on December 11, 2010 while at his company Christmas party he asks me to marry him. He didn't have a ring. However he just decided to declare his love for me. He explains to me how he couldn't risk losing me again. We then jokingly tied a string around my finger and said with a smirk on his face this of course isn't the official proposal till he gets me a ring.
