We were both active duty military and had to take a leadership class to promote, normally you hear how awful and boring it is and so we were prepared for the worst.  But, we got lucky and had really great classmates and instructors, and even though he was stationed a few hours away, they sent him to my base for the class and that's where we met.  We had our first date on April 30, 2010 at a Japanese restaurant and continued seeing eachother even after he went back to his base.  I was all set to move about 10 hours away, and we had to decide if we wanted to continue seeing eachother long distance.  One night after a party we were laying in his bed and he sang "Hey Soul Sister" to me and told me he loved me for the first time.  So our relationship became even longer distance for the next 11 months.  Unfortunately, I had some injuries in my feet that made me unfit for military service, at the same time he was getting ready to move from the South to California, so we finally got to be together full time.  It took some adjustment, but he treats me like a princess and loves my two kids like they are his own.  On December 10, 2011 he asked me to marry him.
