Sarah

Sarah grew up in a very small town in rural Michigan. Like all good girls from Michigan, she will immediately put her hand up and point to the thumb area where the tiny village of Elkton is located. However, at the age of 13, Sarah and her parents moved to Atlanta, GA when her dad Rick was hired by the City of Atlanta police department. Although her family was only going to stay for five years, Georgia quickly became their new home. Instead of returning to Michigan to be a Spartan or Wolverine, Sarah decided to become a Bulldog at the University of Georgia. She has made her marketing career and home in Atlanta for her entire adult life. Graham is not only a native of Atlanta, but his family has a deep history reaching back over 200 years in Georgia. He primarily grew up in Stone Mountain (his family owned the granite rock for a period of time), and moved to the West Georgia town of Tallapoosa (formally Possum Snout) right before High School. In addition to the deep Georgia roots his family enjoys, Aviation is also a family legacy Graham grew up with. Since High School and through college at Georgia State University, Graham has pursued his life long dream of being a commercial airline pilot. He is now a First Officer with Delta Airlines, based here in Atlanta. Both Graham and Sarah enjoy a large network of friends and interests in Atlanta, and it was a truly serendipitous combination of events that conspired in their chance meeting one early summer night. As the daughter of a Atlanta Police Lieutenant Sarah attended their annual policeman's ball May 2012 in downtown Atlanta. She enjoyed a wonderful evening and even danced with the City of Atlanta Mayor. The same night as the Ball, two close friends were celebrating their birthdays in a joint celebration. When the Ball ended, Sarah went to meet the birthday group for post dinner drinks, still fully dressed in her ball gown. Sarah planned to only go for "one drink" since it had been a full night and she was unfamiliar with the location, Noni's. Sarah arrived at Noni's just before Midnight and immediately ordered a round of celebratory drinks for her friends. While she was waiting for her order, she noticed a pint glass of beer with a large orange stuck through the straw. She looked up to find an explanation for this odd drink and straight into the smiling blue eyes of Graham. He very smoothly struck up a conversation and they've been together every since! Graham and Sarah will be exchanging their vows in a private ceremony, but would love to celebrate this happy occasion with their closest family and friends at the place where their love story began!
