In December of 2006, I attended a Spanish Bible study for the first time. I was trying to concentrate really hard on the Spanish, but was distracted by this handsome man sitting across the room from me. I remember thinking that I had never seen him before and just shrugging it off because, after all, this was a Bible study. Afterward, everybody went to Whataburger to socialize. This man was so funny! He not only had me laughing, but the whole group laughing to tears. He had me hooked. Of course this man was Alex :) We began messaging each other on facebook, and eventually I had the nerve to call him...or my friend called and handed the phone to me leaving me in a nervous wreck. After I worked through the butterflies furiously leaping from side to side in my stomach, I began to open up. This happened every night for two weeks, talking about anything and everything we could think about. Then one night, we talked for 5 hours straight and didn't even realize it. The next thing I knew, the sun was beginning to rise. That's when I knew there was something special going on. He nervously asked me out over the phone on February 5, 2007, and been together ever since. We know that God has guided us to each other. I'm so excited about spending my forever with him, doing the work of God.
