I was friends with Jim's sister in highschool, but to be honest with you, I never even knew she had a brother. After school she moved to Florida and we hadn't been friends enough to really keep in touch but whenever she was back in town I would always run into her. One night when I did Jim was with her and while I thought he was cute, I thought he was moody and rude (turns out he was just very shy). I met him again a few times after that; turns out we had some mutual friends. So if I'd run into him at a bar or something I'd always make him dance with me (me trying to be funny ~ like, I'd dip him and take the lead trying to break him of his shyness). I'd even make him dance if there was no music. On Halloween a few years ago, he emailed me out of the blue and asked if I had plans. I said not really and was hoping that he was going to ask me out. Well, he didn't. Three days later I was out to dinner with a friend and Jim comes walking in. See's me, has a huge smile on his face and my friend told me that my eyes suddenly lit up. We met up after dinner for a drink and from that moment on we have been together. Turns out, I'm the only one who has ever gotten him to dance! He wanted to ask me out on Halloween but got nervous and he was always so shy around me because he had a "crush" on me since the first moment he saw me (says he ;) ) and he loves that I made him dance to no music at all in public. Our relationship moved very quickly. The first time we said I love you we were at his mothers wedding and he started announcing to everyone that he loves me. It was the sweetest thing ever. We dated for 6 months before he moved in with me and our relationship is still as great today (2 1/2 years later) as it was in those first moments. 1 year and 3 months after dating, he asked me to marry him. I had come home from a very long day at work and was a little moody. He kept hugging me and kissing me and was acting really weird and out of nowhere says "Babe, will you marry me". I thought he was joking because he always said it has to be romantic and here we are, just laying on the couch together. I just stared at him for a moment not saying anything and then i looked and he put a ring in my face. I said are you seriously asking me (LOL) and he said yes! I said of course. Turns out he had plans for the weekend to take me somewhere and ask me, but he had bought the ring that day and just couldn't wait. It was romantic and perfect and the moment couldn't have been better!
