A classic: He picked me up in a bar. Pick-up line used: Hi. My name is Chris. Fate brought us to that particular bar that evening.  A first date I had been looking forward to all week got canceled at the last minute (he said he was sick and asked for a rain-check). So I went to the bar to drown my sorrows with my best friend. Chris was on his way to a different bar, when his friend got tired of walking and decided to stop in for a drink there instead. My friend and I walked in -- Chris saw me, got some liquid courage -- and walked over. I never did follow up on that rain-check..... Crazy Coincidence: I have two older sisters who both grew up and married ’Miller’ men - each of no relation. The running family joke is that I am just waiting to meet my ’Miller’. Our first date, Chris went up to the restaurant hostess to put our name down for a table. She asked "Name of your Party?". He replied "Miller". I stood there in absolute disbelief. (Imagine his reaction when I told him the story later that night!)
