Wedding details
When I first met Matt, I was a junior at his rival high school, Gateway. Matt found me though a classmate that was also a friend of mine. One day he wrote to me and asked if I wanted to come to his track meet that was taking place at my school. Having just moved from Parker and not knowing a lot of people, I thought it would at least be an opportunity for a new friendship. I was very nervous going to meet him, and when I got there I had no idea who I was even looking for. Luckily he knew right away who I was and he came up with a huge smile on his face. After his meet was over he offered me a ride home, and I knew that he was someone I wanted to see again. After a day or two I got a call from him and after that we were always on the phone or out together. Through most of our last years of high school we were pretty much inseparable. We went to both our junior and senior proms together and many other dates, and school events. Senior year came and went, and we were both headed in different directions for college; I was staying in Denver, Matt going to Fort Collins. I knew it would be a difficult transition, going from 5 minutes away from one another to over an hour, but I also knew that it was important to support Matt in his goal to graduate from CSU, as well as for me to follow my dream of becoming a nurse. We made it through a year of driving back and forth, at least every other weekend and many nights of long phone calls. A year later, I made a decision to go to school in Greeley, making our long distance just a little shorter. This new, shorter distance lasted two years until I got a job in Fort Collins. I could hardly wait to be in the same city with Matt again. We had a great two years in Fort Collins and I knew that Matt was the man I wanted to be with. After he graduated, Matt moved back to Aurora for work, and I stayed behind, this time knowing I was going to find a way to go with him. I came back to Aurora, and only 6 short months later in front of our Christmas tree Matt handed me an ornament that had written on it "will you marry me?" before I could even finish reading it, I looked at Matt who was down on one knee holding a ring, and I don't think I have ever been happier in my life! As you all know, I said yes and now I am getting to marry the most amazing man that God has placed in my life, and I cannot wait for all the years we have ahead of us!When I first met Matt, I was a junior at his rival high school, Gateway. For reasons unknown I seem to feel like I need a primarily white wedding cake. My FH wants a coloured cake. I kind of feel like coloured cakes are more like Birthday cakes however at the same time I've never seen a tiered Birthday cake! What colour...
