Kristin's Side of the Story:: (Anyone that knows me, knows that I'm incapable of telling a short story, so I send my apologies) The Beginning Josh and I actually worked directly across the street from each other and shared a ton of mutual friends, and somehow it took two years to finally meet. (We'd seen each other, but I don't think we ever really talked except me taking his order at Connolly's and Restaurant O). One night (in 2007) at City Tavern, I went up to talk to Bo and some other of our mutual friends and struck up a conversion with Josh. I asked where his girlfriend was and he said they had broken up several months earlier... according to Josh, I said that it was her loss that he was a catch.. I don't recall that, but it sounds like something I would say. So, from there Josh asked if I wanted to come to sushi with them the following Monday. I said I was meeting up with Emmi and Jill, but I would see if they would want to go and gave him my number. From there, Josh would send texts inviting me out to group events. Then it all changed when I left for Florida with my girlfriends. Josh sent cute little messages during our trip, and I realized he was flirting with me.... The day I got back, Tricia, Chris, and I met up at City Tavern with him after Megan's wedding. Tricia and him got along almost instantly ( I think he won her over with Double Dare references). So that was HUGE bonus points for him too. We went on our first date shortly thereafter to a restaurant that shall remain nameless. My first date with cook from Devereaux's and our dinner was well......terrible (and that might be an understatement). We went for a glass of wine afterward, and it was.... worse than the dinner. But even through all the disasters, I had so much fun. We laughed pretty much the entire date. Then I realized, that the date could have easily brought out the worst in most people, and we had a great time... then I started to think this guy is different. Our second date, Josh had set up a 5 course dueling chef's dinner at La Bastide by his friend (and now his Best Man) Geoff. Hands down the best date, and one of the best dinners I've ever had. And from there I guess you say is history....
