Courtney

  Courtney and Rob met while working at Camp Talooli, a boys and girls camp north of Syracuse. After being friends and co-workers for many years the couple began dating in 2008 and have been nearly inseparable ever since.  They share a home in Geneva, NY with their dog Griswold. Courtney and Rob brought their new puppy Griswold to explore the trails of Camp Talooli on the lightly snow covered morning of December 17th. Talooli is a very special place that not only brought the couple together, but has introduced them to some of their best friends and created many fond memories. Innocently enough, Courtney thought that the trip would just be hiking around the lake in the freshly fallen snow. At the covered Wishing Bridge, over the inlet stream to the lake, Rob told Courtney he had a question for her, took the ring box out of his pocket, got down on one knee, and asked her to marry him.  Courtney delights in telling the story of Rob proposing at the Wishing Bridge...Rob contests this version maintaining that he proposed at the beaver dam adjacent to the bridge...I guess it is for the audience to decided whether true romance is found above at the wishing bridge or the beaver dam below...  And to make the story even sweeter, unbeknownst to Courtney, Rob had called her father the day before to ask him for his daughters hand in marriage.
